What do you like best about Motive?

I have been using Motive for a while and as a Safety manager in trucking it made my job easier. Motive has faetures for a better safety managemant and it's very useful if you want to improve your company Safety score. It shows details as disconnects, violations and it has many coaching events. What do you dislike about Motive?

I find only two negative things on Motive. First, on the Settings (grey) dashboard, when selecting the "Drivers" section, it doesn’t allow you to select drivers by name. Instead, they appear mixed up, which makes it a bit difficult to organize and manage them quickly. This could use some improvement for better efficiency. Second, I find that Motive doesn’t offer training courses for drivers. While there are some great resources available for fleet managers, as a Safety Manager, it’s challenging for me to explain my perspective on the driver app to the drivers without more targeted training options. It would be great if Motive could consider adding some driver-specific courses within the app to help improve understanding and compliance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motive has been a wonderful change for our company, the GPS tracking, the ease of implementation and use, and the ability to customize the alerts sent directly to me during and outside of business hours have been exceptional. What do you like best about Motive?

Motive is a great tool to help track our drivers and coordinate pick ups and deliveries. The mobile is also very easy to use and can send notifications when drivers message me. I use Motive daily to help track our drivers and send messages of changes directly to them. I can set up group messages for my weekend drivers and weekday drivers. Motive is a company who listens to its users and wants to continuously improve. They care about customer feedback and enhancing their product. The implementation phase was really easy for us. My experience with the Motive platform has been overwhelmingly positive, primarily due to its exceptional user experience and its industry-leading safety technology.

1. Unified Platform: Ease of Use, Implementation, and Feature Richness:

The platform's greatest strength is its unified nature. It is highly intuitive for both fleet managers on the dashboard and drivers on the mobile app, making daily use (Frequency of Use) simple. The setup process is often described as "plug and play," contributing to its excellent Ease of Implementation. It offers a comprehensive and constantly expanding suite of features (Number of Features), integrating ELD, GPS, asset tracking, and spend management into a single, cohesive system, which drives organizational efficiency. I also appreciate the company’s commitment to ongoing development, as new features are consistently rolled out.

2. Dual-Facing Cameras and Unrivaled AI Safety:

The AI Dashcam system is the standout feature. The dual-facing cameras provide essential context by capturing both the road and the driver's actions simultaneously. Critically, the AI capabilities—particularly the real-time detection of high-risk behaviors like cell phone usage and smoking—are game-changers. This automated, immediate feedback loop helps drivers self-correct in the moment, proactively preventing accidents and providing undeniable evidence for driver exoneration in the event of an incident. What do you dislike about Motive?

One significant shortcoming of Motive is the absence of a fully automated vehicle maintenance scheduling feature. At present, the platform relies heavily on manual input for tracking maintenance, which can be time-consuming. Additionally, Motive does not offer built-in, native tools for driver dispatching and scheduling. As a result, users often have to turn to external solutions or handle these tasks manually, which can hinder overall operational efficiency and make daily route and assignment management less streamlined. i like the new safety features that remind drivers to buckle up & pay attention. It really has amped up awareness with our staff and it is making a habit out of staying safe and not slacking off. i like the new alerts for the lane swerving that show us just a good visual . another great feature is time-lapse ame changer to get longer videos without watching forever. overall likening new system.
