The biggest drawback for me is the video search functionality for past events. Currently, you have to request specific video segments and hope the footage you need is included in the requested clip. I would prefer a more efficient method — such as the ability to scroll through past events or a more detailed timeline view — so you can quickly locate and review footage without submitting multiple requests. I found the onboarding process for Motive to be difficult initially, involving a lot of back and forth. I am not a big fan of Motive. GPS Insight was a tool I used daily. I use Motive to unlock my fuel card and see where a truck is right now, but that's only 25% of what I need from my fleet tracker.

I verify payroll hours for my crews by tracking their vehicle activity. Motive is far more difficult to track than the previous platform, GPS Insight. I could list a dozen things, but we can start with the insufficient vehicle history. I need to set date ranges for the history so I can follow a vehicle's trip through the week, or through two weeks.

I like the idea of scoring driver safety, but I often feel like I am being scored by someone who has less than 100 miles of road time. Losing a dozen points bc someone cuts me off is crazy, and zero points for driving smarter is not a great game structure.
