"Indispensable Vehicle Tracking with Real-Time Monitoring and Footage Access"
What do you like best about Motive?

Motive has proven to be highly valuable for our company, primarily due to its straightforward and efficient vehicle tracking capabilities. We depend on this tool multiple times a day, and it has become an indispensable part of our daily operations. It enables us to easily review the route history of our vehicles and monitor their real-time locations on the map. What do you dislike about Motive?

We have found it difficult to pinpoint the exact time a vehicle was at a certain location, and locating the precise spot on the map is also a challenge. When we try to view the history for a specific place, the program zooms out to show the whole route, which makes it harder to focus on just one location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

Its easy to use. Things are where you would expect them to be. Very little training was needed before use. My drivers rarely come to me with question on the functionality of motive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

As any mobile app that rely on Bluetooth and cell service its not perfect. Drivers will occasionally report they can not get the device to pair to there assigned truck that day, when it worked fine the day before and works fine the next day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

Motive is simply a one stop shop for trucking software and equipment. Being able to track our trucks is just the start of what we can do with this software. We have been using Motive for about a year and still have not fully realized just how much information is offered. You can track fuel mileage across your whole fleet. Pick out which trucks are performing better than others. The forward facing camera has also qualified us for a lower insurance premium. They also have helped us dispute traffic incidents or accidents bc we have everything on camera. It gives drivers confidence that they will not be wrongfully accused of something they didnt do. The ELD for our semi trucks has been so much easier than ELDs of the past. It has cut down many hours for those in the office and also provides peace of mind knowing our drivers logs are correct and legal. Pricing is also among some of the best in the industry for what is provided. Customer Service has also been top of the line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

The ability to log, message, and upload supporting documents all in one place is highly effective. In my position as a Driver Care and Safety Coordinator, the feature that allows me to send Broadcasts to drivers—so I can share information without drivers seeing each other's responses—has proven to be extremely valuable. I also appreciate the detailed information I can access about drivers' logs and locations, thanks to the various filtering options and the compliance data provided within the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

There are very few drawbacks to using the Motive app and website. The main issue I’ve encountered is that I need to open two separate windows in order to view logs and supporting documents at the same time. What do you like best about Motive?

Having used multiple platforms across truckload, LTL, and distribution venues, Motive offered an intuitive dashboard that is easy for non-fleet managers to learn and use. The AI does a great job of observing behaviors with good accuracy and has dropped our incident rate 50%, though we are only a couple months into full implementation. What do you dislike about Motive?

What do you like best about Motive?

What do you dislike about Motive?

I would like to see the updates come out a little faster. When they roll out new updates I think if they gave out those dates before hand would be beneficial. For example the new August 2023 Roll Out of new Drivers scores, we didn't know exactly when those updates were going to roll out, I had to reach out to support to get the answer. What do you like best about Motive?

It is an intuitive platform, the interface is user-friendly, and the organization of information allows for quick navigation for its use.

Tracking for the units is convenient, the iconography to detect the status of the units as well as its alert system for captured events allows for keeping track of the route, training to define the severity of the incident to review, the route history with captures for different events presented, as well as the use for the search filter and the management of geofences to mark specific areas.

Being able to change parameters for measurement in metrics according to the value you wish to work with (e.g., kilometers or miles).

What do you dislike about Motive?

The quick information displayed when selecting a vehicle currently only shows the coordinates and site. It could be improved by showing the speed at which it is traveling or nearby geofences or those on site. However, this information is broken down in a larger box to show more details. What do you like best about Motive?

The ease of use for drivers was our company's number 1 priority. Our drivers can easily navigate through the system with the app on their tablets. What do you like best about Motive?

I appreciate how easy the physical installation of Motive devices is, which simplifies the setup process for us. The interface of Motive is remarkably user-friendly and clear, making it easy not just for my own use but also facilitates training for other staff. I find the accurate data provided by the devices and the onboard AI system highly valuable for our fleet tracking and safety compliance operations. This accuracy ensures that we always know the location of our vehicles and assets, while also monitoring driver compliance with road safety regulations. The vast capabilities and features available in Motive, which we haven't even fully explored yet, are promising and allow for potential growth in use when needed. What do you dislike about Motive?

I find the driver and user tab in Motive to be poorly designed and lacking in functionality. It is unnecessarily complex because it requires multiple accounts for the same person, depending on their role, forcing them to use different email addresses for usernames. This is inefficient and impractical, as there should be a single profile for each person with the ability to designate their role, such as fleet user, driver, or general manager.
