What do you like best about Motive?

We are working with the new AI cameras, this is a learning process but the rewards will far outweigh the any negatives. Our company is big on utilizing technology to make the process as seamless as possible and the AI cameras help keep our drivers safe. "Accurate GPS Tracking, But Search Function Needs Improvement"
What do you like best about Motive?

I really like the accuracy of the GPS and the time the stamp of when the truck was at a location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

When I know a driver is at a stop at 4:30 AM and I use the time window to select the date, time, and address, the system brings up nothing. For example, if a customer says their trash wasn't serviced, and I know when my drivers start their shifts, I can confirm that the driver was there. I enter the address and set the time window from 4:30 AM to 12 PM, since that's when I received the customer's call. However, I always have to start my search with the GPS set to the date and the time beginning at 12 AM. If I don't do this, the system won't show any results. Only after starting at 12 AM can I proceed with my search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

Motive truly is a one-stop location for so many things! It combines accurate GPS for every truck in my fleet, real time views of my drivers Hours of Service and their logs, along with camera functions, but current and historical video. It can also track fuel use, fuel card activity, and maintenance of my fleet as well. The number of features in fabulous. It is also easy to use, and requires mininmal treaining. What do you like best about Motive?

Motive is very helpful in tracking a lot of different behaviors that could influence driving. The website is user-friendly, featuring a simple and intuitive interface. I like how you can track your team's overall progress through a safety score.

I don't like how I'm unable to filter from top to bottom by clicking "Safety Score" on the table when viewing individual driver scores on the website (Safety tab>Show More Button in Performance Leaderboard section>View All Drivers.

User Story: As an operations manager, I want to click the Safety Score column header when viewing individual driver scores on the website so that I can sort the list from highest to lowest or vice versa. What do you like best about Motive?

We really enjoy the AI camera tracking and quick alerts that allow us to know if issues arise both for our drivers as well as their driving practices. By getting the alerts we are able to respond to issues quickly and effectively. We use the software daily and have found it to be extremely helpful in our day to day operations. It's easy both to use and implement in to our routines current programs and the alerts come direct to email and we can be notified in seconds. What do you dislike about Motive?

Some of the issues we have had is with the customer support. As a business user, the shop can be a great quick way to purchase the equipment you need, however somethings that you should be able to purchase you can't without talking to your support agent. I believe it is a way to get you to upgrade services, and its understandable for a business to do. However it would be much easier if I can order camera and gateway as a unit the same way I can order the pieces separate. I appreciate how Motive centralizes everything, making it easier to keep track of our trucks, trailers, and other equipment without needing multiple programs. The comfortability of the program, along with its ability to provide learning opportunities through clickable information tickets, makes it particularly user-friendly. I also find the dashboard's accuracy beneficial in maintaining the collective miles and checking for any problems with the trucks. As Motive does everything we need it to do, it became unnecessary for us to use additional software alongside it, which simplifies our operations significantly. What do you dislike about Motive?

I find the tracking feature in Motive to be insufficiently accurate. It often lacks real-time tracking capabilities which are crucial when I need to determine if a truck is moving, stopped, or at the yard. This lack of precision necessitates physically checking, which can be inconvenient. Furthermore, the system should ideally be satellite-controlled to enhance its accuracy and reliability. Additionally, there is a learning curve with Motive, as I'm still figuring out how to use all its features effectively. This can be somewhat daunting, though manageable over time. What do you like best about Motive?

I can get a quantifiable review on what our drivers are doing and how safely they are driving at any time. My Drivers can review real time events reflecting their performance. The Motive system also has prevented (very possibly) a lawsuit. Our Driver was accused of cutting a driver off about a year ago. the other driver said our Driver ran them off the road and nearly caused her to get into a car wreck.

The driver needs to prevent other drivers on the road from cutting them off. Cut-offs are dangerous.

My emails are without context; my boss sees them...then she comes to see me....I have to tell her, oftentimes...that if you watch the video, you will see the driver was cut-off by another driver. Sometimes there is certain events that I can't change and it still says something to me. I yawn every morning and it'll tell me I'm drowsy and to pull over or if I am driving and make a turn it'll say I braked too hard which can be kind of annoying. Also, it doesn't notify me when I have driving things to review, my push notifications are on and it would be nice if it actually told me when I have something to review vs having a supervisor email me and tell me to review my driving stuff. If i can tell something ill say that the color tones of the map are very muted, and the grayscale map can sometimes lead to confusion, i think it will be better if you inspire in google maps color tones scheme, i also want to add that other platforms show all the unit numbers of the fleet in the map in general view, while motive doesnt... it just show a few of the unit numbers of some vehicles not all of them.
