Nothing, it was an awful experience.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Verizon Connect was absolutely trash. It caused more problems than it solved. We were promised it would be ready to use in Canada in time for when ELDs became mandatory, and that did not happen. The setup was a hassle, requiring each device to be hardwired into trucks by a third-party mechanic, which was complicated for a fleet of 60 trucks. The tracking feature was disappointing as it wasn't a live tracker, just an update every five seconds. Nothing worked well, and they need to improve everything or just scrap the whole project. It should have been a simple plug-and-play solution instead of needing to hire a technician for installation.

Verizon Connect didn't solve any problems; it caused more issues, like not being ready for use in Canada and requiring complex installations.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

The VZ signal is great, it was consistent and only went down when AWS was down during the big outage a year ago, however,  with that said - the vehicle devices would fail constantly.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The devices we received for installation never worked right with our vehicles, it did not have the cabin facing cameras we requested and they would constantly drain our vehicle batteries - causing lots of hardship on our team. We had to spend THOUSANDS to replace several EV car batteries and our mechanic said it was due to the VZC system. VZC has terrible installation vendors that do not know what they are doing or how to manage the devices. We received horrible customer service from Verizon when we flagged that we had issues. They refused to rectify the situation.

Absolutely nothing, we recently switched to Samsara and are SO much happier with our service. The devices work, they do not fail, our fleet is tracked with both front facing, cabin facing and rear facing cameras and we are also able to maintain our vehicles PM alerts and so much more with Samsara.

We’ve had an extremely disappointing experience with Verizon Connect. The system itself is fine when it works, but getting support or service is an ongoing nightmare.

For starters, their contracts are rigid and inflexible—once you're in, you're stuck, regardless of the problems you encounter. When issues arise (which they frequently do), don’t expect quick resolutions. Verizon takes an incredibly long time to fix even basic problems.

There’s no dedicated account manager or point of contact. Every time you call their 1-800 number, you’ll speak to a different person, even if it’s regarding the same issue. Be prepared to repeat the entire story every single time. Emailing support is equally frustrating—they often don’t respond at all, and when they do, the follow-through is poor at best.

Simple requests like transferring equipment from an old vehicle to a new one? They can’t seem to handle it without confusion or delays. We’ve had an ongoing issue with the ELD and GPS system in one of our units for over six months, which directly affects our IFTA tax reporting and compliance. It’s unacceptable, and the only reason we’ve managed to stay compliant is thanks to our leasing agency, which thankfully offers a much more reliable tracking system.

I would not recommend Verizon Connect to any business that values timely support, functional systems, and competent customer service.

Live map is decent when data is available. Non-powerd asset trackers are easy to install. Robust reporting and alerts on the equipment that functions.

Under our Master Subscription Agreement (MSA) with Verizon Connect, we expected reliable hardware, timely installations, responsive support, and accurate data reporting. Regrettably, Verizon Connect has repeatedly breached multiple contractual obligations, leaving critical issues open well beyond acceptable timeframes as defined in the MSA. Despite all our efforts, neither Customer Support nor our Account Manager has resolved these issues. Below is a detailed summary of each breach, associated case numbers, and durations:
1. Hardware Failures (Section 2.6 – Service Eligibility & Equipment Conditions)
Cases: 07838778, 07856289, 07856360
Issue: Trackers, sensors, and dashcams non-functional
Duration: Ongoing for > 90 days without permanent resolution 
2. Faulty Installation (Section 3 – Installation and Services Timeline)
Case: 1001430236
Issue: T-28 GPS/camera install completed 11/11/2024 never went online; reported 12/5/2024
Duration: > 120 days unresolved 
3. Unresolved Support Tickets (Section 4.4 – Support Obligations)

Extremely disappointed with Verizon Connect. We signed up for camera installations for our fleet, but they failed to deliver on their promises. Only part of the work was completed, and despite repeated follow-ups, the rest was never scheduled or installed. Their account manager has been unresponsive and has not provided any proper resolution or due diligence.

We’ve been charged full payments without receiving full service — this is unacceptable. Businesses like ours rely on timely service and accountability, and Verizon Connect has failed on both fronts.

Would not recommend to anyone looking for reliable fleet solutions.

We enjoyed Verizon Connect when we had their services. We had them when they transitioned from Fleetmatics to Verizon Connect. User interface was very similar and easy to use.

There really is nothing.  The website looks nice but not functional.

Both powered and none powered tackers are riddled with problems.  I have about 100 plus trackers and its a constant battle with verizon to actually get equipment that works.  The website half the time is delayed by 30 minutes.  Expect to be on the phone for atleast an hour with customer service if something goes wrong.  The make a new contract everytime you order more equipment, so if your continue to expand there is no way out.  They will keep assets on your account even after you have asked them to remove the asset because of a mistake on verizion's end.  Trust me save your companies logistics and do not use Verizon Connect, there are plent more options that will use verizion service but are much better.

The tracking feature, vehicle alerts, statistics, and dash cams work well.

The customer service and insane binding contracts are absolutely HORRENDOUS and does not in a million years justify the products which worked fairly well. 

I've attempted to cancel my service and contract due to closing my business and I've been waiting for a YEAR with countless hours on the phone being given the run around about closing my account. They are not helpful, lie, don't know what they're talking about, and don't care about you as a customer. I will NEVER again use Verizon for any business services for the rest of my life and in any future lifetimes should they still be around.

Nothing, there is not one positive thing I can say about Verizon Connect. The small company we used for our fleet gps's were bought out by Verizon and we were more or less just stuck with them.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

1. EVERYTHING IS COMPLICATED AND A PROCESS
2. Installers installed the unit wrong, clipped a wire and caused a whole bunch of issues on my brand new HINO, would NOT cover the repair costs
3. takes minimum 3 months to get a responce from the sales rep to add a new vehcile GPS
4. we were SCAMMED into these  cameras which are literally usless, when I tired to cancel them and send them back they told me it would be $5000 to break the contract 
5. the whole process of trying to add a new unti is a disgrace, complicated, and no one speaks understandable english
6. upper management DOES NOT care
7. units stall, get stuck somewhere, are not updating with real time- really what is the point of a gps for a business if it does not work in real time

if your stuck between two companies and verizon is an option, go with the other guy

They are only creating more problems for me. Units never work in real time, they stall out in random places, the front dash cam's are pointless and usless. The one time I actually needed the dashcam footage (accident related) it would not download. I am completly stuck in their scam of a contract or else I would go back to using a small mom and pop service like we did before they got bought out by verizon.

Verizon Connect is the worst company I have ever had to work with. We haven't been able to access the account since they purchased the previous GPS company. There is nothing positive about Verizon running this business.  The service does not exist. I can't access the service, I can't cancel the service,

Terrible Service. We have been trying to cancel the service that we haven't been able to use for over 2 years. They won't respond until the contract cancelation period has passed, and then respond with a $3,000 early cancelation fee.  Won't tell us when the contract renewal dates are. What I like best about Verizona Connect is their coverage area. That's it, end of story, don't do it unless you have to.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

What I dislike most about Verizon Connect is their process to fix an issue. Unless you are buying new equipment you will have to talk to a person who reads a script like a robot, creates a report, doesn't follow directions on how to contact you, and your issue will either fall in a dark hole or you will speak to multiple people in different departments who are either robots reading a script or hate their job so bad you wish you were speaking to the mindless robot. You will waste hours of your life that you will never get back and wish you had chosen another provider.

The problem Verizon was purchased to solve was knowing where are vehicles were, keeping the employees honest, and providing factual information on vehicle speed and location. When it is working it benifits us by saving money and time.

Verizon Fleet Tracking has been a great asset to our business. We really like the geofencing, as well as the speed and time tracking, and we utilize all of these features in our day to day operations. 

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

There are some features that I do not fully understand and am unable to utilize, like I have set up my "start time" in the settings panel, but cannot get the report for lateness and start times to populate effectively. 

**Recommendations to others considering Verizon Connect:**

I would recommend this product to other business owners in our industry. We have been using it for over 3 years to date and haven't had any issues with the program. 

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the problem of not knowing where our technicians were at all times and accurately tracking the amount on time they have spent on jobs. We can accurately traack vehicles and speeds and traffic violations, and handle accordingly.

Verizon will goo on and on about all the available features of the 'system'. this is software and hardware. It does NOT perform as they tell you. it is substandard at best. I would not recommend it to my enemies or my competion, and especially not to my friends. Needs to be removed from the market.

Hard to install - must use their installers at their convenience, must wait for parts ( so every time you wait when the parts do come in your contract restarts from the last install), the cameras ONLY work when the truck is in operation. I could go on and on, but I don't have that much time.

No follow up, poor customer service on a billing issue for a refund that is owed on an overcharge for the past 31 months, euqal to $7k.  I have been calling for 2 months every week and nobody calls back or responds to my emails.  I usually get hung up on and told the same thing over and over, that someone will call me in 24 hours and they are expediting my issue.  Here I am 2 months later and not one person has reached out to me on resolving this.

Customer service is TERRIBLE. Abusive. They billed me for a service I did not even HAVE and then shut myh account down for non-payment. I spent HOURS on the phone with their useless and terrible customer service department. I have never in my life dealt with a more unprofessional company. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

Verizon has done nothing but create problems. They put a product on my bill and I agreed to it because the salesperson bullied me (Santiago Simintel was his name). I was never given access to the software or given a user name. I have tried for the last six months to have it removed from my bill. I have spent HOURS on the phone with Verizon trying to rectify this situation. I have been given case numbers and escalation numbers, and promised call backs. I had my account shut down today for nonpayment. I refuse to pay for a service I do not use. I was told it will take two weeks to look into reinstating my account. I spent six months trying to avoid this. WORST COMPANY EVER

The service was great. It allowed me to track my vehicles and always see where they were. I am happy with the technology; however, the customer success team was far from perfect. I was constantly contacted about leveraging the service for my business and personal use. That team could not be found when I sold my vehicles and needed to cancel. Multiple calls and 45-minute wait times to secure balloon payment is what I got.

Still, no follow-up from Verizon connect. I have contacted my bank to stop automatic payments and requested a buyout amount from Verizon Connect. I hope they don't send it to collections before returning my call. I am prepared to settle. However, I can never get someone with authority on the phone to complete the transaction.

GPS tracking on the website.  App not so good.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

App stinks.  Doesn't show a detailed replay on the app.  It jumps around throughout the vehicle's day, not showing everything.  The worst thing is this GPS system is  causing issues with our company vehicles.  We have 24 units and have had 12 issues, 50%.  They started out fine for the first few months.  Then we had issues with our vehicles not starting.  Paid numerous shop costs in trying to determine what was wrong with our vehicles.  Mechanics could not find anything, then they took out the gps boxes and the vehicles worked like nothing was wrong.  We have let Verizon Connect know this and they send us out new gps units, but it still does it.  Now the gps units are causing two more issues,  (1) killing the life of our batteries, batteries less than 1 year old, numerous ones and (2) have started to make our vehicles stall and turn off while on the roads!!!  This is a MAJOR safety issue!!!  Someone will get hurt, injuried, or worse.  We have tried to talk to higher ups (managers) in Verizon Connect about the issue and we just keep getting a normal tech that only wants to send us out new gps units.  This is a major safety issue and Verizon should be trying to solve this issue and take them off the market immediately, but are not doing it.  We are trying to cancel our service, but they just want to send new units.  Why do we want new units when the ones they keep sending are causing issues too.  It doesn't do it at first, but evantually it starts messing with the computer systems in the vehicles and causing these stalling issues and killing the battery life.  Verizon is not willing to do anything but send new units and not solve the issue.  Each time we talk to someone at Verizon, they say this is a new issue they have never heard of even though we have previous tickets on the issues.  Do not get locked up in this gps system.

VC is not solving our issue.  They want to keep sending new gps units and they continue to cause issues.

It's easy to manage your fleet. The mapping part gives you an instant snapshot of the location and status of each vehicle. Tracking maintenance items is easy once you set up your requirements. History information is handy to see where things happen.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Support is a problem. The need to contact support may or may not get something fixed. The problem solvers always seem to need to "escalate" a request. The support personnel frequently are not understandable and need multiple follow-ups to get something done.
 The new service shipping department seems to guess what equipment we need to complete the installation.  Frequently we need to make a phone call to clear up what should be standard requests.

Vehicle maintenance is the biggest blessing of reveal. There's no guessing when something needs to be done; all you need to do is look at the fleet service page to see what needs to be done.

The service software itself was average in its performance in tracking jobs. My technicians could access jobs assigned to them individually. They could upload documents and pictures.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Its bookkeeping service was the worst I've ever experienced in all the years I've been working. I canceled the service, and about 4 to 5 months later, my debit card was charged for all the previous months and another month or two while I was trying to get my money back. They will only accept debit cards because these are like paying cash. They will not accept credit cards. I had to reach out to the CEO on Linkedin and did not receive a refund. To get a refund, I had to file a better business report.

Check their Better Business current review before you do business with them. Have them give reviews from other customers.

After many weeks, I finally got all my money back. The only good experience that I had was with the lady that helped me set the account up. She was very professional. This could be a very good company if they corrected their bookkeeping department.

The program works good and is reliable.  Initial calls to customer service are good but to get anything done takes several layers.

If there is any change to your organization there is NO WAY to modify your contract.  Even in the case of selling your company you must pay to the end of contract.

Additional reporting features are available in Reveal.  I like the geofence utility that allows me to check maintenance on an individual road or a territory.

The menu options are a change from the old Networkfleet website.  I have to work to find things I used to use frequently.

The second thing I don't like is the installation and transfer of GPS units from a old/trade in unit to a new unit.   Getting technicians here to install GPS units in our trucks and equipment seems to take a lot more time and is inconvenient compared to when our radio supplier was our contractor for Networkfleet and did GPS installs in house.

Nothing now. Did like the software, but customer support and over billing for 12 months has ruined that.

Been over billing for 12 months. Create a ticket and no one responds and then ticket is canceled 3 days later. I have been been over charged for 5 units every month for 12 months and every couple weeks for the last six months I've called them to get this handled and they say someone is going to get back to me. They've had me cancel via email contracts several times to handle this and every single time I cancel the contract nothing happens and now when I cancel the contract they actually add three units. I only have 11 devices and I'm being charged for 16 devices, before I only had eight devices and I was being charged for 13 devices. Three times now I've done an audit with them and they have realize that they owed me $1300 as of three months ago and now they've overcharged me $250  every month for the last three months on top of that. Will be getting my lawyer involved run as fast as you can from this company and do not sign a contract.Have not solved any of the problems only added to them. Also they are not in communication with whoever connects the devices to your car because they showed up to my office to connect devices that they've never even sent me several times.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

The real-time live maps make it SO EASY to monitor our fleet and make quick adjustments based on a driver's location. The platform allows us to group our vehicles by branch so we can quickly get a "per branch" view with just a click! We also love the reporting features that Verizon Connect provides. The reports we mainly use are Idle time, Harsh Driving and Speeding reports which allow us to minimize wear & tear on our fleet and keep our drivers idle time to a minimum. The replay feature allows me to see a driver's previous activity in case there is anything that is put into question. Overall great app and a great user experience.

The customer service is always excellent as well. They are always polite, ready and willing to help. The wait times are minimal to none, and are also very efficient with scheduling service appointments.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

There is not much to dislike about the platform. It provides our company with everything we need in Fleet tracking/management software. I can think of nothing to improve; everything is how we like it.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of knowing where your drivers are and how long they are at any given location IN REAL TIME. I have alerts for when a driver idles too long or exceeds our allowed speed limit. The replay feature allows me to see a driver's route for their entire shift when they were driving, idled or the vehicle was turned off.

That my issues are not be addressed and no one follows back up with me. Had had several CSM assigned to my account and I'm the one that has to make tons of calls to find this out and get things done.

Best Customer service, dependable company. They will call back to make sure your system is working or they will stay on the phone until you are satisfied. I have called maybe twice or three times and they always corrected the issue. You just don't get that kind of response anywhere.

The product itself is great. The GPS is very accurate. The dash cam is very clear. The ELD works very smooth. Installation contractors are very good.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Customer support has become almost non-existant. Your product/account manager will pass you off to other departments and will not follow through with your claims. Once you do finally receive your product, it takes weeks to schedule the installs of equipment. Troubleshooting is a very tedious and long process. Most calls for support take upwards of an hour, so grab a coffee and try to relax.

Verizon helps me track my equipment and comply with ELD requirements.

What I find most help from about Verizon Connect is the ease of tracking vehicles where ever they are located across the country. Our trucks go everywhere and I haven't had an issue with connectivity.

We had an issue with the driver log report for excessive miles being reported in June and the developement team is still trying to resolve the issue.

Verizon Connect is solving the excessive miles issue and it would benefit us tremendously because we can only drive a certain amount of miles and when we go over those miles it causes us to have a violation with DOT. 
Also for the moment our truck is not being used so Verizon is helping us adjust our monthly rate until we have the truck moving again.

The GPS  has been beneficial in tracking timeliness of drivers getting to jobs. The cameras have saved us from 'at fault' accidents on 4 seperate occasions already! This system has paid for itself 10x already!

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

I don't have much that I dislike about this service. If I were to have to choose something, it would be the refresh rate of tracking in real time. The speed sensors can be off at times as well.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GPS tracking for timely deliveries and Cameras for our drivers protection!

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

Everything from installation to operation has been easy. The service is highly accurate, and helpful.  Connect has made everything easy to use and learn. I would recommend this service to any company searching for a tracking service.
The accuracy is phenomenal.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Sometimes a truck will get stuck on idle, but it will fix itself within a few hours.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verizon Connect has helped us keep track of our trucks and employees. The location accuracy has helped our supervisors keep track of the truck location to the minute!

The analytics portion of the platform is better than Samsara

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The contracts are shady with hidden auto-renewals that match the initial term of the contract.   These are not clearly outlined nor are the notifications of the auto-renewals. - Resolved thanks to Jarrett Nelson in Vendor Management

**Recommendations to others considering Verizon Connect:**

They are very hard to work with.   The owner of our company chose them when first adding vehicles to our fleet.   When I hired on, I saw the need to add additional GPS units to our fleet.    I reached out to Verizon after reviewing our agreements to initiate a conversation about adding new units and aligning our agreements.   They would not alter the agreements.    I also had sales reps change 3 times and customer service reps change twice during this process.      I decided to go with another GPS vendor to add the additional units based on their lack of flexibility.   Fast forward a few months and someone proactively reaches out from the upgrade team wanting up upgrade my equipment and change the contracts.    We could have done this the first time and added more units!     Also, someone from another business unit reaches out and wants our cellphone and telephone business.  However, none of these divisions work together to solve customer service issues or bundle a technology experience.    I have requested multiple times proof of auto-renewal notifications because some states, like Georgia, require that it be communicated clearly because of the predatory renewal contracts.   I do not have an update currently.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset management, fuel management, tracking customer stops, and route management.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

We enjoyed the fleet tracking but that is it.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

We needed the software for the ELD capabilities. After sending us the wrong equipment, it took months to get the correct equipment. On top of that, we were charged full price for all of the equipment. After getting the correct equipment we asked for a refund for the months we paid but weren't able to use the service. It has now been 4 months since requesting that refund. Every time we get on the phone with their customer service they say they will open a ticket. We then receive confirmation that the refund will go through but then each time we try to find out where it is, it's magically gone. I have asked multiple times to speak to a supervisor or someone higher up and each time their employees say there isn't anyone they can transfer me to. I didn't know I was speaking to the owner of Verizon each time I called in I guess. Stay far away from Verizon Connect. Their service is a joke. There are better companies out there. This one is just a headache from the start.

They aren't solving any of our problems right now. All they are doing is creating more.
