**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

The GPS  has been beneficial in tracking timeliness of drivers getting to jobs. The cameras have saved us from 'at fault' accidents on 4 seperate occasions already! This system has paid for itself 10x already!

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

I don't have much that I dislike about this service. If I were to have to choose something, it would be the refresh rate of tracking in real time. The speed sensors can be off at times as well.

GPS tracking for timely deliveries and Cameras for our drivers protection!

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

Everything from installation to operation has been easy. The service is highly accurate, and helpful.  Connect has made everything easy to use and learn. I would recommend this service to any company searching for a tracking service.
The accuracy is phenomenal.

Sometimes a truck will get stuck on idle, but it will fix itself within a few hours.

Verizon Connect has helped us keep track of our trucks and employees. The location accuracy has helped our supervisors keep track of the truck location to the minute!

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

The analytics portion of the platform is better than Samsara

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The contracts are shady with hidden auto-renewals that match the initial term of the contract.   These are not clearly outlined nor are the notifications of the auto-renewals. - Resolved thanks to Jarrett Nelson in Vendor Management

**Recommendations to others considering Verizon Connect:**

They are very hard to work with.   The owner of our company chose them when first adding vehicles to our fleet.   When I hired on, I saw the need to add additional GPS units to our fleet.    I reached out to Verizon after reviewing our agreements to initiate a conversation about adding new units and aligning our agreements.   They would not alter the agreements.    I also had sales reps change 3 times and customer service reps change twice during this process.      I decided to go with another GPS vendor to add the additional units based on their lack of flexibility.   Fast forward a few months and someone proactively reaches out from the upgrade team wanting up upgrade my equipment and change the contracts.    We could have done this the first time and added more units!     Also, someone from another business unit reaches out and wants our cellphone and telephone business.  However, none of these divisions work together to solve customer service issues or bundle a technology experience.    I have requested multiple times proof of auto-renewal notifications because some states, like Georgia, require that it be communicated clearly because of the predatory renewal contracts.   I do not have an update currently.

Asset management, fuel management, tracking customer stops, and route management.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

We enjoyed the fleet tracking but that is it.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

We needed the software for the ELD capabilities. After sending us the wrong equipment, it took months to get the correct equipment. On top of that, we were charged full price for all of the equipment. After getting the correct equipment we asked for a refund for the months we paid but weren't able to use the service. It has now been 4 months since requesting that refund. Every time we get on the phone with their customer service they say they will open a ticket. We then receive confirmation that the refund will go through but then each time we try to find out where it is, it's magically gone. I have asked multiple times to speak to a supervisor or someone higher up and each time their employees say there isn't anyone they can transfer me to. I didn't know I was speaking to the owner of Verizon each time I called in I guess. Stay far away from Verizon Connect. Their service is a joke. There are better companies out there. This one is just a headache from the start.

They aren't solving any of our problems right now. All they are doing is creating more.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

I like that I am able to have all my vehicle tracking and job scheduling in one easy to use system. Being able to have a program via website is versatile. I am able to integrate our fuel consumption as well.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The only downside would be the scheduler add on. For our company use we need a more commercial friendly dispatching system. We adapted the scheduler to fit our needs but it feels more of a residential type scheduling. We need the ability to do more with reporting more functionality with customer association based on a corporate level.

Verizon connect has solved our gps issues and fuel management problems such as to much idling.

I like the live map and GPS tracking software with the ability to change drivers and vehicles as needed.

Occasionally the communication between the office staff and the installation department can get lengthy.

Just having the ability to track our techs and move them around as needed is a huge advantage we would not have without using the fleetmatics software. Our efficiency as a maintenance department has increased since implementing the use of this system.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

Only useful aspect is the Live Map of our vehicles and ability to zoom in.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

When the GPS is not responding, unplugged, battery dead it does not notify the user or send any alerts.  Does not provide useful reports without nickel and diming the customer.  When creating users/drivers, it does not all drivers to be assigned to multiple vehicles.  The worse is the customer service, not knowledgeable and when scheduling installs, they use a 3rd party which means you are on hold for long periods because the operator has to go back and forth between the customer and installer until an agreed upon time.  Even then, the installer does not always show up.  The customer rep for does not answer their emails or phone calls, only time they respond is when you want to place an order for more units.

The only solution for the above dislikes is that customer service released some reporting for us instead of charging us.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

The software is very useful when operational; being able to track vehicles and the "Replay" feature make supervising fleets easier. A bonus that these devices have over others is that they are hard-wired and cannot be removed by the driver.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Our company was offered a very appealing presentation of what would be offered, but from the moment we switched over our service has been a nightmare. Verizon hired contractors to install the devices into our vehicles, and the contractors missed the original appointment with our team; our fleet was taken off the road for the appointment and missed an entire day of work for a service that was never done. When the installation was finally completed weeks later, we immediately began experiencing issues with vehicle devices not recording correctly, displaying incorrect information, or otherwise not working as advertised. After months of dealing with multiple lengthy customer service calls where the rep would "reset" the devices to fix them for a few days, we noticed several of our vehicles were completely non-function on the Connect software. We also found out from our vehicle dealership that one of the devices was causing the battery to drain on the vehicle; we had taken this vehicle in for battery repairs 4 or 5 times, and finally discovered after a huge cost that it was the Verizon device causing the issue. We were very upset about that. Trying to reach our representative was incredibly difficult, and even after trying to escalate the issue to a higher level we were still largely ignored or left without assistance. We'll go weeks without getting any form of response from any Verizon rep. Finally, after many weeks of inoperable units, they arranged for a technician to replace the 6 broken units we had in our fleet. When the tech arrived, he said the units were not only improperly installed, but several of the units that were sent were the wrong unit altogether. This tech fixed what he could, but then we waited for several weeks more to hear back about the replacement units for the remaining vehicles after weekly emails and attempted phone calls. Verizon finally called late on a Friday (so of course I missed their call), and when I called back the next week it was as if this was the first time anyone was aware of my issue even though I was given a case number. After hours on the phone with different reps (by the way, the "HOLD" music will get all quiet and then get incredibly loud so I was constantly turning up and down the volume), they finally resent some units and are rescheduling another visit. Remember that every day my vehicles are off the road my company loses money, so having to do this a fourth time is unacceptable. 
We have requested a meeting with someone in leadership to discuss our dismal service, but have yet to hear back. We will hopefully be ending our contract and returning to our previous system when our contract time is up.

Locating vehicles and keeping drivers accountable for their speeds and location during the work day. COmpared to our previous systems, however, Verizon Connect is also creating more issues for our company leadership than it is solving.

It doesn't cost that much. It is stupid that you make people type a ton of words when my first sentence suffices.

You and your drivers have to download multiple apps. It's not clear which ones are to be used. Customer service is horrible. The interface is hard to use.

Keep Trucking/Motive wanted to charge me $300/month. Verizon is $50.

Not being able to manage the changes in assigning cameras and gps trackers, also no alerts on when gps or camera stops working.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

Web portal works well and offers good tracking solutions, easily switch drivers assigned to fleet vehicles. We use it to track mileage, gas fillups and maintenance needed.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The app does not function well for administrative tasks and is not easy to handle for simple changes. The support from customer service is inconsistent and depends heavily on who you receive. We have several issues at the moment that are still unresolved and are costing our company money and time.

**Recommendations to others considering Verizon Connect:**

Make sure you know where your connection ports are located in your vehicle to make sure they aren't going to get "hit" by employees and knocked out constantly and end up breaking your ports. Make sure you check the ports regularly, we just had two vehicles with costly repairs needed based on the mechanic saying the GPS caused a chip to get damaged and Verizon blaming it on the GPS units coming disconnected frequently from drivers hitting them getting in and out of the vehicle.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking vehicles/fleet while helping to create efficiencies in our fleetwide maintenance approach. Flagging off hours driving to alert managers when vehicles are driven outside of operating hours to prevent vehicle use and accidents.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

The functionality of the service is excellent. It has a relatively simple interface, and it is easy to find the info for each vehicle.  I can track any specific driver or look at that vehicle's history.  Or, I can zoom out and watch all of the vehicles on the map. In short, it does everything we need.  While we don't use the route planner, it is an available feature.  So, I suppose it would be more accurate to say it does more than we need.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The contract and the price. We originally signed up for this service, when it was a little more novel and expensive, through a company called Telogis.  It was a bit pricey but worth it. Years later, Verizon bought the company, and admittedly, the interface improved.  As part of a technology review, we discovered we were still paying the same monthly rate that we had been paying for the better part of a decade, which is now well above the market rate.  But with Verizon, we are locked into the monthly rate we had at the contract's renewal. The contract had just auto-renewed for three more years, and they didn't notify us.  They wouldn't even talk to us about price; they merely stated that if we wanted to go somewhere else, we would have to pay the entire remaining two years and eight months of the contract. That's all—no further discussion.  They also won't upgrade our 3G devices without adding another year to the end of our current contract.  To be clear, we would be happy to stay on our current contract and even add time to it if they would only work with us on price a little, so we aren't paying over double what even new Connect customers pay.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a single interface to both track our delivery vehicles and to report on them. We can see efficiency or wasted gas on unauthorized side trips. It also helps us guide vans to their delivery locations when drivers get lost.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

There is nothing helpful about Verizon Connect. Any attempts to reach a representative for any assistance is futile.  Wait times on hold to any help are claimed to be "3 minutes" more like 3 hours and then your call will be mysteriously disconnected. No one can directly help your and they will "need to transfer" you to 7 people before your call is dropped. Attempts to even have new equipment installed were not handled, no technicians showed up on date given and when called to inquire our call was never returned.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Everything. There is no part of this company that is useful at all.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

The customer support is easy to get ahold of. I never have to wait for long periods of hold times. They're always able to resolve my issue right then when I'm on the phone. No lengthy ticketing process to wait 48+ hours. The app is also very user friendly and easy to track my team.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

My least favorite thing is working with the 3rd party companies to schedule a technician visit. In the past I have had several technicians not show up or can't get to where I need them at the time I need them to be there. I understand the logisitical struggles but sometimes I've had to go back and forth with a 3rd party installation company with a dozen or more emails to get a technician on site.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly when GPS devices in the vehicles are not responding I have to get the units reset or completely replaced. Once in a while I have to get a driver placed under the correct management group or get a key fob placed back into the system so I can assign it to a new technician. One of my main benefits is being able to find a technician for a field safety observation without alerting them that I'm on the way to their location.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

Having the ability to keep track of my fleet at all times helps us out greatly. It is a must-have when dispatching trucks and routing the nearest driver to the scene of an incident. It has also come in handy when drivers get into accidents or receive tickets, I am able to go back in and pull all of the truck info (Speed, timing, location, etc.) so I can better understand exactly what was going on.

I do not have any complaints about the system. It does exactly what it is supposed to. The only issues I have ever had is on occassion with tech support. But typically all matters always get solved quickly.

Compare the cost Versus other systems, as well as all of the extra features that verizon connect offers over others.

I like having the accessibility of tracking company vehicles online. The reports are helpful to detect speeding incidents, vehicle maintenance, & mileage.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The Customer Service Department needs a major renovation. The communication is unusually awful, to say pleasantly. For example, a company vehicle (with a tracker installed) was stolen from a job site five months ago. Not only was the vehicle unable to be recovered (the tracker was conveniently "not working" in this vehicle), but the tracker also has not been removed from our Reveal account. We have not resolved the concern with constant attempts to communicate with our Business Account Representative or the customer service department. This is one example of multiple incidents with zero resolution to a problem.

**Recommendations to others considering Verizon Connect:**

Hopefully, your experience would be better than ours. If we did not have a contract in place, we would consider other options at this point.

1. Tracker on our account that has not worked correctly since July 2021. This needs removed; 2. Why the tracker was not working in the first place (truck was stolen & should've been easily recovered with a functioning tracker unit); 3. Credit to our account for the five months that we were billed for this tracker in the stolen vehicle & an additional credit for the three months that the tracker was not functioning prior to the truck being stolen in October 2021; 4. Bill increase with no explanation; 5. Poor Business Account Representative communication. Thus far, we have not found a direct benefit of this service.

It's very easy to set up multiple users and get real-time information on where they are located. The Reports feature gives a ton of information about where a driver or a vehicle has been if we need to track their previous stops. The video quality from the camera replays is top quality and helps monitor proper driving.

Our previous software also could track inclement weather via Doppler which was very helpful to keep our drivers up-to-date with road conditions, but wasn't a necessary feature.

The Reports feature has allowed us to research and give detailed location data for our fleet driver's deliveries after a customer called to complain that the driver never arrived. When we were able to give an exact time that the driver had actually been at the delivery then that customer was able to match it with their own employee schedule, located the employee who received the delivery, and verify that they did in fact receive it. All of those steps took only a few minutes because the Verizon Connect software was so efficient to search.

Allows the company to see where all vehicles in the fleet are at a glance. Ideal for creating routes and ensuring the drivers are driving safely in the field. I love the automated reminders for maintenace.

Sometimes the App and the website don't seem to be on the same page. The App will tell me a vehicle is not in the same spot as the website. The website is a bit clunky for keeping a good log of all maintenance done in the past.

Verizon makes it very simple to sign up. They will normally give you a deal on the GPS units and upsell the camera systems. All in all, they are pretty decent on pricing and make the process simple.

We have utilized Verizon Connect to analyze the actual cost of having a vehicle on the road. Using another 3rd part app in tandem with Verizon Connect we now can calculate how much each mile costs the company.

The ease of finding what I need. I need to see what a truck did last week? Super easy! I need to run all sorts of reports? No problem!

I cant remove equipment from our list. I cant order new gps units online. I have to make sure that if I want a new gps unit that I better email 4 different verizon employees so I can get someones attention. The last time I needed gps units, I needed 5. I did not receive these units for about a month. I had to email and remind people constantly. I was told that I had to call some random customer service number. This happens about every time I need gps units. It's insane.

The website/app combo is amazing. Best in the industry. 
The customer service is comparable to trying to return something you bought online in 2002....impossible.

The ability to log in and see the entire fleet 1st is my favorite part. There is no hunting around trying to figure out how the user interface works. It is intuitive and smart. The dashcam along with the cloud based recording has saved our company thousands.

There is nothing to dislike. One could always say it's expensive, but the minute one of our trucks is in an accident, and the Network Fleet data proves we are not at fault, the service pays for itself and then some.

We are solving the speeding issue. We have 60 trucks on the road, and we all know how easy it is to speed. Most people do it without realizing it. The Network Fleet system allows us to address repeat speeders and revisit close calls. The ability to go back to when an incident or accident happened is a crucial part of solving driving safety issues.

Verizon Connect is an inexpensive easy to use way to manage your fleet.   With the ability to watch your fleet on the app, mobile website, or desktop.  It makes it easy for all employees to see exactly where the truck is and where it has been.  Want to know when a customer received their delivery? Just look at the bread crumbs.  The user interface is easy to use and offers many options that let you figure out what you need.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

There is not a way to quickly sort by stops.  This option would be nice to have to quickly hit a drop-down menu and see how many times the vehicle stopped in a given time frame.  This way, you could find issues where the driver was either detouring from his route or making personal stops along the way.  Currently, you would need to review this through the replay.

Verizon Connect is a seamless way to integrate fleet maintenance into your daily schedule.  With a low cost to operate and install, this is an ideal way to manage your business effieciently.

We have been able to find out when and where drivers were deviating from their schedules and routes.  With the driver now knowing they are being monitored they are more efficient on their routes, deliver quicker, and are more likely not to stop and run personal errands on company time.

Our experience with Verizon Connect has been positive. They have excellent customer service to the tech crews contracted out to do the installations. We've had to contact them more often recently and the way the company has handled our issues is terrific. We have so many folks working together to help us with whatever our needs be, and it 's like we have our very own team! Turn around time is amazing, especially with the world today. Also, when the guys at Verizon Connect haven't heard from us in a while, they will give a call or even send an email just touching base to make sure everyone is alright! Our company already were customers of Verizon, so the relationship and implementation of services were fairly easy.

I have nothing to like. This company is very unstructured and seems as if the billing department is the only department that picks up the phone, but it is equally useless because they cannot do anything but take a payment. They can't even transfer a call. They're really good at avoiding fixing issues. Really fast at trying to get you to sign that EDoc. After that is done, you will have NO support what so ever.

This division of Verizon needs major restructuring. They need more customer service reps that can actually do something besides give you the same number you just called into. I've sent out numerous emails to sales reps and various departments about an issue with not receiving the units but being charged monthly for them. After many failed attempts to get a customer service/sales rep's attention. I decided not to pay the last 3 months, well verizon decided to send a final bill of $6,000, as a contract buyout. I never intended to cancel service, I just needed them to get me some sort of tracking on where my units were. I called the billing department, they told me that they can only take my minimum balance of $6,000.00 then i would have to call a sales rep to attempt to reactivate a new account. When I asked her how that made sense, she paused and kept sayign she didn't know. Then I asked her to give me the phone number of a sales rep. She gave me the same number I called! Then gave me a run around.

I wish they will contact me to solve this issue. Currently i am running off of a Garmin ELD so my fleet can stay running. Not sure on when or if i can even get this Verizon account fixed.

Verizon Connect is a great user interface for all trades needing GPS for their vans, We use strictly GPS tracking and Geofence for our fleet. Compared to our old system this is leaps and bounds more efficient and effective for user use. Have both a app for your phone and computer! Great product

The Verizon Connect team seemed a little lost during certain parts of startup, one not knowing that I had already scheduled for installation, and also getting someone to contact me regarding the installation. Other than that we are extremely excited to use this product. GPS systems came in plenty of time.

I would look at others for simply price comparison for your own sake. You will find Verizon connect offers very competitive rates and great service team

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

I like that the interface is fairly user-friendly. The countdown clocks are an easy visual for drivers to use to keep track of their HOS. The ELD app itself is compatible with the Android tablets we use for our drivers. This isn't a good thing to like, but many of our reports do not pull accurately, so sadly I like that I need to fix them myself. I have more security and trust in my own old-fashioned way of doing things than I do in this program. The alerts portion of the backoffice application was difficult to get set up the way I needed it, but once I figured it out, it seems to be working better. It's not perfect, but it does give me at least a good groundwork for knowing when maintenance is coming due. I can say, too, that there have been about three people on the support team who were actually able to assist me in getting issues resolved and were very friendly. Otherwise, I really cannot say that there is anything I much like about this product.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

There is basically no support. We have experienced issue after issue and have tickets still open from 2019 (it's currently February 2022...) Many things that we were told would be fixed or added have still not been completed. It's to the point where we have not forced an update in many months because updating only causes further issues - it should be the opposite! Driving time does not always track; reports are inaccurate or do not load at all; DVIRs are geared specifically toward trucks with nothing pertaining to trailers; unidentified miles are pulled incorrectly for incorrect locations and/or for times when the truck was not moving at all; trucks sometimes randomly turn to Towing status incorrectly or will not be trackable at all; GPS does not always connect, causing drivers to be unable to log in or out for the day; Driving time is suppposed to automatically track at 5MPH or more, but if the driver inadvertently leaves an On Duty substatus turned on, it will not pull Driving time; driver alerts are often inaccurate (we have drivers getting hard braking alerts when they are accelerating and vice versa); etc. I really dislike that this company does not seem to listen to the voices of their customers. I saw many reviews over the years of other companies complaining of the same issues I am faced with each day, and still today those issues persist.

**Recommendations to others considering Verizon Connect:**

I honestly do not recommend this product. The amount of frustration and double (sometimes triple and more) work caused by this program is not worth it. I manage a very small fleet of truck drivers and get frustrated and bogged down with the neverending issues; I cannot imagine trying to use this product for a larger fleet!  If you're okay with problems every day, inaccurate reporting, nonexistent support, and much more, then this product may very well be for you. If you're looking for a solution that works, however, I advise you to steer clear of Verizon Connect. As "partners" with this company, our voice and concerns have not been heard. We have had multiple support tickets open for literally years. Other support cases have been simply closed with no solutions offered at all. If you do manage to reach someone on their support team, they typically just send the case to the "Development Team" - BEWARE: this is where support cases go to die! Even communication with account managers and others who are supposed to be on your side is difficult to attain. It is to the point now where every correspondence I have with this company is via email per my and my boss's insistence. It feels vital to have a paper trail of my attempts to get things fixed and/or changed; if DOT ever comes to audit my company, I want to be prepared with the data I need to prove we did our part as a compliant trucking company. In my opinion, ELD companies should never have been permitted to self confirm their products with FMCSA as compliant. That allowed carriers like us to trust and partner with a company that really didn't have it all together yet. In truth, I believe that with more work (and probably more people who have worked in this industry) this product could be good one day. It is just not there yet, and we haven't seen any progress in that direction in the three years we've been with them.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verizon Connect was meant to help our company stay in compliance with federal HOS regulations, however, with all of the glitches, we often appear to be out of compliance incorrectly. We are able to collect mileage for IFTA reporting, but even that is not always accurate due to the errors with the application. We try to use this product to help us manage vehicle maintenance as well, but the mileage showing for each truck is often very far off from the actual mileage of the unit. This causes alerts to show up either too soon or beyond the actual due date. As a result, I have resorted to the old way of doing things and rely on my drivers to notify me when their truck is in need of servicing. As far as benefits, there really aren't many, if any at all. I can say that we are benefited by the fact that we are meeting FMCSA regulations by being ELD compliant, but that doesn't say much if the equipment never works as it should.

Being able to locate vehicles at an instant, so I know where to re-route my drivers when somthing urgent pops up.  Fuel integration will be a great feature if I can ever get it set up but there are to many hurdles to jump through just to get it going.

Customer service.  I cannot get a hold of my success manager at all.  With customer support, you have to talk to usually three different "tiers" of representatives to get assistance on anything.  Each tier you speak to, you have to repeat everything.  I would say the worst customer service system I have yet to deal with.

Fleet management is the biggest feature and help we have been able to utilize.  We would love to be able to use the fuel card integration with fleetcor to determine fuel percentages and ratios but it is becoming a problem getting it set up because it takes way to much time going through customer service.  All we have requested is a different success manager assigned to us and we are having trouble even getting that assistance.

Customer service is relatively good.  They have been able to resolve most of our problems.

Our sales rep is horrible.  I called her, emailed her over a dozen times.  She finally responded after all these attempsts.  The response she finally gave me was a one sentence apology and vague eta on our request.
I talked to customer service multiple times to find anyone to talk to, but their system doesn't do anymore than just send a note to our sales rep.  It is sad that you have no system for resolving very upset customers.  I can't even request a different representative.  She is the worst rep I have ever dwelt with.  We are actively looking for a new provider because of her lack of follow thru.

Nothing

Not many issue really.  The time to upgrade our devices to 4G is taking a long time.  I understand chip supply issues are a thing.  But the lack of any information on the issue is just plain bad customer service.

Contracts.  Beware of the tiny print at the bottom of the agreement.  At the end of your initial term (3 years), the contract renews for an additional three-year term.  They will not work with you at all on the automatic renewal. I have been a customer for five years.  Our vehicle fleet moved from company-owned vehicles to leases.  Our leases include GPS tracking.  Because we no longer need Verizon Connect, I attempted to cancel and return the devices.  At this point, I was sent the original contract with the small print at the bottom highlighted showing the agreement automatically renews for three years.  I realize it is my fault for missing this initially, but it should have been brought up then.  They took the time to highlight it now, but it's just lost in the small print initially.  Verizon cellular doesn't work this way; when your term is up, you go month to month, and I made the mistake of assuming Verizon Connect would be the same.  No one is willing to bend at all.  And remember, I completed the initial 3-year term.  I would understand this if I tried to cancel in year 2.  I am in year five and not using the devices but still paying for them.  They give you a tiny window of time to submit, in writing, a request to cancel, and if you are too early or too late sending this notice, they don't care.
This practice is very shady and something I would not expect from Verizon.  There are options for vehicle tracking that are just as user-friendly without the shady contracts.  I would recommend doing your homework and using a different product.

Be careful of the automatic renewal

It is very convenient being able to see where my fleet is in real time. I like receiving videos the minute they are involved in a harsh driving event. The replay feature is also a fantastic convenience. It lets me go back and verify information as well as use it to confirm a vehicle was where it was supposed to be.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Not too much to dislike besides the occasional bugs and glitches. I used to be able to navigate directly from the spotlight app however now when I click on a vehicle and click get directions, it takes me to the google play store even though i have google maps already downloaded. This used to work just fine but one day it stopped. Also receiving false alarm and incorrect videos is happening more often. More details provided upon request.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our industry revolves around customer service. Verizon Connect helps me verify and confirm whether information that is being given to me is true. If a client wants one of our crews at a certain time, and we dispatch our crews accordingly, they should arrive on site at the desired time. If they don't, I am able to use the replay feature to view their exact route and catch any unauthorized stops along their route.

The products are not bad...but over priced compared to the competition. Dashboard is easy enough to use.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Over priced. You can get twice the amount of features (including cameras) for half the price elsewhere. The customer service is amongst the worst I have seen in 16 years of business. Want to add a tracking device? They are on it. Have a question about your contract, like you want a copy or request a cancellation? Good luck. We have been waiting for over two weeks now, have called customer support over and over again and they can do nothing. They say "Only your account manager can do those things". But what about when your account manager ignores you for over two weeks? I guess you just can't do anything? Terrible model and structure and based on other online reviews, this is nothing new.

**Recommendations to others considering Verizon Connect:**

Search the competition first as this is over priced for what they offer and the customer service is pretty terrible. We have since found better options with less hassle.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We only used it for tracking our fleet of ambulances. The biggest problem we solved with Verizon Connect? We haven't solved it yet, we are still trying to cancel it, and it will be solved. Until then I guess.

**What do you like best about Verizon Connect?**

Verizon connect is helpful with tracking previous and current assets.  It gives you the ability to check on the type of driving style each driver has been employing such as hard breaking, excessive speeding etc.. They're useful features for collecting data points and entering geofence points to alert you when an asset is out of containment, entering a specific zone or arriving at a destination such as back to home base. All of these features have been useful for me and I know I have yet to fully utilize the full potential Verzion Connect may offer.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The downside to Verzion connect that I fine is the desktop version and the mobile version differ 100%. You cannot view a movement of the vehicle for the day without going to each time point via mobile.

Verizon connect solves the problem of figuring out if my employees are route and how long they they are at each site.

I like the ability to see where our vehicles are and retrace where they've been throughout the day.  It helps hold our people accountable for their time.  I also like how Verizon Connect flags speeding incidents and other unsafe actions.  By being able to Geofence locations, we can quickly identify specifically where our vehicles and people are.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

I can honestly say there is nothing about the platform that I dislike.

We have had a few instances where our people were not performing as well as they should.  We utilized Connect to see what time they left home, how many stops they made and the duration, and what time they returned home.  By sharing this information during our coaching sessions, there was no wasted time discussing their movements - it was there in black & white.  This allowed us to quickly move-on the discussing solutions to the situation.

Although I wish there were a way to manually create an event or mark the recording for easier later retrieval, being able to pull any amount of video from the camera and view it within minutes has been very beneficial so far. After some learning of the desktop and app platforms, and helping the system learn our driving habits, it has become a little more intuitive, which I imagine will improve with time.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

The inability to mark an incident or event at the time it is occurring - by pressing a button on the camera or similar action - makes finding video of it later a bit of a task, particularly if the driver doesn't remember or write down the exact time of the event.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being conscious of driving habits is always a plus. Having "always on" video has proven beneficial for other purposes as well.

Monitoring daily travels to adjust the day-to-day flow most cost-effectively flow possible. Knowing who is driving what vehicle at all times, as well as being able to easily move equipment around to the nearest NEXT UP!

The installer process, lack of flexibility for the installs, follow up on the install by the third party folks, schedule restrictions for any new equip or current to have transferred to a new asset. All directly to do with the installers and the process of the install.

Outside of the install folks, the program is fantastic!

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employees are not traveling to places they shouldn't. Fuel usage and mileage on trucks help to schedule service as needed, assets are being tracked, and it lowers the likelihood for theft, lowers the risk of wrecks and speeding etc because we can monitor the day-to-day activity and set up alerts.

I enjoy how easy it is to find and locate my vehicles using the search icon. How I can add driver information to make each driver more detailed and specific. I have only used Verizon, so I cannot compare to competitors.

I cannot delete bot made vehicles or the units that pop up are random numbers making it more difficult to organize. I had a difficult time getting ahold of customer service to help me set a time up for installation.

Watch training videos and join a seminar before you start to make the introduction easier.

Once I get it completely set up, I'm hoping to save my company money by having an automated reminder to get my vehicle's maintenance. Hopefully, if anything breaks, I can be the first to know and have the shop called to get it repaired.

Where do I begin?  As a service organization, the ability to see where a vehicle is at all times for scheduling purposes is probably reason enough, period.  All the additional features are a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Verizon Connect?**

Not really a big deal, but getting the timecard reports setup can be a little tricky.  They are well worth the effort as you can basically provide an overlay to an employees documentation to verify travel vs screwdriver time, etc.

Excellent product that provides you with information to manage your fleet more effectively and therefore your business.

**What problems is Verizon Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling and time tracking have been mentioned already.  The safety factor has also been an added bonus.  When drivers know the vehicle is being monitored, their driving improves.  The ability to replay their day provedbthis as the harsh driving events decreased after they were made aware of them.

We've been associated with them for 3 years. In that time we've received ZERO service. We were able to muddle through on our own but every promised service or training ended with the departure/replacement of the service rep. After attempts to inquire about cancellation, we were ignored until we were informed that the contracts had auto renewed and we're stuck for 3 more years or face a $24k buy out

The GPS service works and we may be missing benefits because we've never been able to receive the promised training
