What do you like best about Braze?

The customer journey builder (Canvas) is probably my favourite part – it makes mapping out campaigns and automations actually enjoyable, which I can’t say for most other platforms. It’s easy to visualise where users are going and make tweaks on the fly. I also like how flexible the segmentation is – being able to target users based on behaviour or custom events has been a game changer for our email and push performance. What do you dislike about Braze?

What do you like best about Braze?

The UI is very intuitive in terms of locating and implementing features. I do not often feel lost or unsure where to go on the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

The email builder leaves something to be desired when it comes to creating more complicated and advanced builds. I would like to see more ability to customize features such as the dark mode color selection across inboxes, the ability to nest content blocks, and the ability to switch between the drag and drop view of an email build and an editable view of the HTML (which pulls in the underlying HTML of any liquid referenced content blocks that are included). We moved to Braze as a platform in part due to the convince and speed of build that comes with the drag and drop builder, however many of the things we conceptualize and would like to implement require the usage of html, however we have run into currently unsolveable issues with things such as alignment when using HTML blocks within drag and drop builds. What do you like best about Braze?

What do you dislike about Braze?

The biggest challenge I've encountered with Braze is its documentation. Guiding our developers on what needs to be included during project scoping has been particularly tough. It would be incredibly helpful if there were a way to select the specific features we plan to use and have the relevant documentation automatically compiled for the development team. Currently, our developers must sift through all the available documentation and try to determine which options we want to implement. What do you like best about Braze?

Truthfully, it solves problems for our organization that we have let be a thorn in our side for too long. I think the ability to start to really hone in on the areas that make our outreach effective has been a huge win for us orginizationally. What do you dislike about Braze?

Some of the documentation can bury the lede a bit. I believe there was one instance early on where we were setting up a canvas and didn't realize that we had a 24 hour waiting period once users entered the segment. What do you like best about Braze?

It's incredibly flexible, so many personalization options, technically very nimble. It can be used simply for standard email, sms, push notifications for smaller companies looking to get more insights into their guest but can easily scale for incredibly large and complex use cases. As a growing company we're able to move all our marketing messaging to Braze and add additional app functionality to ensure our guest are getting the right messages at the right time. This also helps us gather more data on their engagement, what messaging resonates, and how our campaigns are contributing to our overall business KPIs. Implementation was easy compared to other intergrated systems but our team used a Braze suggested consulting team that helped immensely! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Braze?

Because of they have so many function that allow for personalization and customizing messages, it can be a bit overwhelming. What do you dislike about Braze?

The UX/UI can be quite complex, particularly for those who are new to the platform. At the moment, we depend heavily on external consultants to help us build our understanding, but this approach isn't sustainable in the long run. It would be very helpful to have more video tutorials available for self-service, as well as an onboarding experience that guides users in different roles—such as Product, Marketing, and Engineering—through the Braze interface and its features. What do you like best about Braze?

From my experience, the platform achieves a strong balance between flexibility and ease of use. It enables you to create advanced campaigns without being overwhelmed by technical details. What do you dislike about Braze?

I’ve also observed that certain parts of the interface, such as the email editor, can sometimes feel less intuitive, which may slow down my workflow on occasion. Additionally, since this is a premium platform, the cost might be a concern for organizations working with more limited budgets. What do you like best about Braze?

I like Braze's user interface because I find it particularly easy to navigate. The way campaigns and canvases are organized allows me to efficiently dissect how they are set up and assess their performance. I find the visual structure, especially the visual representation of the Canvas flow, to be very clear and helpful. This clarity aids in monitoring and managing communication campaigns effectively. What do you like best about Braze?

One of the main challenges with multi-step Canvas journeys arises when clients are already partway through their journey and we need to make adjustments to the user flow. Making changes in the middle of an ongoing process can be complicated, as it may disrupt the experience for users who are already engaged. This often requires careful planning to ensure that updates are implemented smoothly without causing confusion or interruptions for those currently progressing through the journey.
