"Targeted Marketing for Large Businesses"

What do you like best?

As a marketer, the best part of Lytics is the customized programs available for each individual part of the company, as well as each individual customer. Not only does Lytics allow me to target based on demographic information, but it also gives affinities and items that wouldn't typically be found on marketing websites.

What do you dislike?

Since I use Lytics across so many mini-sites, I wish there were more design aspects to customize - often, it seems as though the pop-ups look extremely similar. It would be awesome if we could incorporate interactive elements like polls, videos, etc. in the slide-out boxes to "break up the noise" and encourage users to click.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you're struggling to reach specific audiences, Lytics is definitely for you. It will only improve your communications by adding another touch point in reaching the intended client. Another important consideration is the fact that you can use Lytics for more than just website marketing - we, for example, use it in creating email audiences to use in Message Central.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've been able to reach targeted customers on a new level - a new touchpoint. This has opened many doors for us in communicating with clients who might not respond via email or other channels. Additionally, the "audience" creation tool has been integral in targeting customers through email (via Message Central); it has allowed us to create specific campaigns to extremely specific audiences (i.e. those with a high affinity, unique demographic info, etc.)

"Clear leader in the CDP space!"

What do you like best?

I like how easy it is to use- we can train our jr. marketers who have no experience with coding or SQL skills and they can actually implement and stand up their ideas. Easy to test. If an effort isn't as successful as you think it could be, then pause it and try something different. It empowers all.

What do you dislike?

We struggle with identity resolution, but that is mostly on our end and how our CRM system identifies a single profile- it just doesn't jive well with Lytics. I also do not like the lack of feature development. I think Lytics really needs to consider more client facing development and features. We have 9 clients that we support within the Agora umbrella and they always ask what the latest Lytics features are. We consistently struggle to answer this.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Lytics allows teams that want to target a certain group of people to create the audience themselves and export via CSV. This has been very helpful with out Telesales groups as they are charged every time they want a new "list pull" from our CRM team. The CSV export allows them to include any data fields they want, they also use Epsilon 3rd party data about the customers household, income, spending habits etc.. to allow the sales teams to have a more informed conversation with their potential buyers. It still impresses me about how many different ways people use Lytics and see the benefits. Almost every day, there is a new idea that we help implement.

"Great Platform to Boost Omni-Channel Marketing "

What do you like best?

Lytics is a unique software because you are able to use it to create multiple touch points to your customers while utilizing a multitude of data variables and sources. Additionally, it pulls together demographic and customer data in a clean and simple user interface. Lastly, the Lytics team is always willing to help set up audiences, analyze data, and make suggestions. Lytics has helped our bottom line by increasing our revenue an additional $50,000. This is money we would've otherwise been unable to attain.

What do you dislike?

The main thing I dislike is in regards to the user interface. When you publish a campaign, there is no way to turn it off fully (or archive) unless you set an "end date". We like to keep our campaigns up and determine the success on a week by week basis, so some stay up longer than others. In this case, when we finally are ready to turn them off, we can only "pause". When a campaign is paused it stays in the "Published Campaigns" section and can get clogged up. This is a small hiccup in an otherwise easy to use and clean interface.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Consider the data that you can source from Lytics alone and the possibilities are endless. Add on the easy to use interface and support team and it's a no brainer. For those looking to push their bottom line or just find an additional touch point to reach customers, Lytics is the software for you.

We are using Lytics to create targeted marketing campaigns and increase our omni-channel presence to our customers. We are able to use Lytics audiences to target customers via the web, email, and even print!

"The most advanced CDP"

What do you like best?

seamless and easy integration with external platforms. Easy segment composer and great support from the success team. Very smart CDP - behavioral segments based on 5-score system, affinity segments, content recommendations, and personalization. They got everything a modern marketer could ask for.

What do you dislike?

Pop-up feature. Very poor UI, not flexible in terms of design, sometimes issues targeting. Not easy to preview and QA (especially if you want to preview pop-up after you set all the rules). Can't prioritize multiple pop-ups, hard to prevent audience overlays.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Spend time and invest enough time and resources to make sure all data is plugged into Lytics, that it's clean and always current. That's the core of any CDP and that's the only way to get 100% out of this tool. It's a great tool but without the data or with bad data it's useless.

"Smart CDP"

What do you like best?

Everything powered by data science means quicker adoption and better outcomes, all the way around. Their Google Integrations are sublime so makes it very easy and adds lots of additional capability for a Google Cloud shop. Their approach to content affinity has so many fantastic use cases. The personalizatoin capabilities are very flexible through the SDK and their cross domain flexibilty makes it a true enterprise CDP.

What do you dislike?

Lacks tools for organizing segments, data visualization and analytics are performed outside fo the system (but this is commmon for most of the enterprise CDP technologies).

Really understand and communicate your use cases during the sales process as it will really help the selection.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our primary business problem was disparate customer data and no ability to activate customer segments. Lytics easily handles the identity resolution and connection to the marketing channel (real time and flawlessly). Lytics is also infusing the platform with Data Science that gives marketers a tremendous jump start in real world use cases. Their "out of the box" segmentation around customer behavior (ie. likely to convert, unlikely to return, etc.) are exactly what a marketer needs to get campaigns and activations moving quickly. We were able to not only monetize our audience more fully but we have better unknown to known conversion, better ROAS and better insight into our customer base.

"Amazing Technology, Smart Staff"

What do you like best?

We have a very complex group of software that all contains data on our customers, we were very quickly able to onboard all of our customer data into a unified view and empower our marketing team to develop segments and push them downstream to almost all of the omni channel marketing tools they were already using. We were able to easily install the necessary tracking scripts on our sites and begin gathering very useful information on our customers to personalize and market to them much more effectively. we have found it a pleasure working with the lytics customer success team and have developed a deep relationship that has proven to be very successful for our entire organization

we are excited to take advantage of their orchestrate offering once it has more integrations

360 degree view of our customers, high value machine learning scoring, content affinities, modern integrations with down stream marketing and analytics tools. all of these things were not possible without lytics.

"Great system to link all audience platforms"

What do you like best?

Being able to pull data in from multiple platforms and see both our known and unknown audience at the same time. Being able to have Lytics tie content topics to our webpages is also very helpful!

What do you dislike?

Unable to take a group of audience and understand what content/topics they are most interested. A lot of time we get specific populations of individuals we want more engagement information around but are currently unable to do so. Would love to be able to create an audience in Lytics and then see what their top affinity topics are.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Creating audience segments for clients to target in cross functional engagement (Social Media, email, banner ads, etc). Additionally using to understand what topics our known and unknown users are consuming.

"Organized Easily Accessible Website Data"

What do you like best?

Lyitcs helps us quickly pull audiences based on their behavior to use in our PPC campaigns. These audiences are 10x more effective than the normal targeting options most PPC platforms provide

What do you dislike?

Setting up audiences can be a pain sometimes as the variables that are set for each parameter we have in our CRM systems don't always match the names that Lytics provides.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to dial in our customer avatar. Especially being able to see the aggregate date of how our users use our site also helps tremendously.

"Long Painful process that has not yet completed"

What do you like best?

The idea of what Lytics can do though I have not seen that in action yet since we still have not completed the integration. We began that process in October and it's April now.

What do you dislike?

The lack of responsiveness. Emails go unanswered for days. The service goes down affecting our sites' performance and there is no warning at all. Our account rep takes weeks to investigate and does not get back to us unless we hound him.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Consider another vendor unless you can dedicate a person on your team to hound Lytics continually. Even then, you may not get anywhere, as we found out.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We had hoped to use Lytics to target audiences based on their content preferences and serve ads, modal windows and otherwise expose content they would be interested in. But as I said, we've been trying to finish the integration so we can do this but it drags on without end due to lack of responsiveness. We've been trying to integrate all our systems since October. It's mid-April. That's just unacceptable.

What do you like best?

Segmenting, audiences, how fast you can make a modal and see results with little to no design experience.

What do you dislike?

DATA OVERLOAD. Can get confusing. It's overwhelming to decide what to use all of the data for and what campaign to start first.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Take the time. Don't expect ROI right away. Let the data compile and then start using. Implement the low hanging fruit first, get accustomed and then go from there.

"Great experience - lots of data to learn from "

What do you like best?

Good platform, great team w/ excellent service/Support. The data we are collecting with the platform is extremely rich, and has been telling us a lot about how users interact with our site and content.

What do you dislike?

some features could be more robust, however the lytics team does take our feedback to improve the product. They are very agile and able to help us focus on specific product improvements taht help solve our business needs.

We onbaaorded Lytics to enhance personalization for users and properly messaging our audiences. We've also begun using lytics in our audience development and ad delivery to aid in performance, and further the value we're extracting from the platform.

"Difficult to grasp at first, but it is an incredibly powerful tool with seemingly endless possibilit"

What do you like best?

I like that you can see info on a user by user basis. You can see the pages they've visited, their LTV, and create csvs of these people for your sales team to contact.

What do you dislike?

I think it's a bit too difficult to connect to Google AdWords. I wish it was as simple as connecting it to Yahoo Gemini. I also think that when a company purchases Lytics, they shouldn't just have over the phone trainings, someone should come to the office instead. I couldn't learn Lytics at first and once i was shown in person, i was able to easily implement things.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We used to have to request email lists from another department every time we wanted to update them in Facebook, Google, etc. The fact that lytics does this automatically is great. Also, we had a subpar system in place for remarketing to people based on the pages/ topics they visited on our website. we can now do that easily. Remarketing on ad networks like Facebook, AdWords, Gemini used to be a pain, but with Lytics it's much easier and the possibilities seem endless. I also love that we can create lists based on LTV of a customer.

"Why I use Lytics"

What do you like best?

The thing I like about lytics is that I can see all customer data at once without having to have a million tabs open on my computer. The interface is really nice, and it is difficult to get lost while using it.

What do you dislike?

Some services are not on lytics, so if you use certain things, lytics may not be helpful for you.

If you use multiple services for customer data, Lytics is a must.

The data for my customers is spread out on many different services. With Lytics, I see it all at once and it makes it so easy to piece together information.

For non-technical marketers, it can be challenging to fully understand how to utilize all the layers of data, and dimensions that lytics makes available

Lytics is a great piece of software, and with the right team in place can make a massive impact on your business. One thing lytics is not, is an off the shelf piece of software that a marketer alone could use with ease. Im my opinion, successful implementation would require a development team to implement and manage the nuts and bolts of software, to enable the marketers to leverage the powerful features available.

"Lytics - Mixed Reviews"

What do you like best?

Simplicity; ease-of-use in terms of dashboard.

What do you dislike?

Getting identities to "known" status takes more effort than we had originally expected; managing Lytics tags for the large number of sites we have has also required a lot more effort than we expected; we had to develop a Wordpress plugin to facilitate the upgrade to the new version of the tags, and also to pass in custom keys/values. Wish more of this were out-of-the-box functionality.

Understand that you may need to do some development work of your own to get the most benefit.

What do you like best?

Being able to use Lytics as a customer intelligence hub to trigger messaging in other digital channels. I also believe the dynamic audience features will help us get a much better picture of our web content and who is accessing it

"A very powerful tool "

What do you like best?

All of the audiences we are able to tap into for marketing campaigns. The power to retarget users and target non subscribres is amazing. I also enjoy the ablity to pull audiences based on their life time value. So far we have utilized a content affinity in one of our recent campaigns and found it to be a success. I like that the tpol updates audiences automatically.

What do you dislike?

It's not the most user friendly tool I've ever used. I think creating audiences is a little difficult. I also wish there was a place with video instructions on how to utlize the tool to it's full ability.

I would recommend this tool to anyone who is on a marketing team

The reporting doesn't always fit our needs, and is sometimes not delivering data that has full integrity at this juncture. This is an area for significant improvement, but it is one that Lytics appears to be committed to ensuring.

I think the UI is fairly easy to navigate and intuitive.

It sometimes takes FOREVER for audiences to load, to create audiences, and for CSV files to be sent to me.

We liked it so much we recommended that our our centralized team implement it across all of our subsidiaries.

What do you like best?

Having all of our customer attributes within the platform available for other systems to use as well.

Current integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud aren't real time and are limited.

What do you like best?

Lytics is for Tech companies who'ed like to customise the product to stand in tune with the internal systems.

They've provided great customer support

Takes a bit of time to understand the underlying data structures.

Data availability was a bit of an issue (delays) in earlier days.

"Lytics for Marketers"

What do you like best?

I love the ability to target web ads by behavior across our multiple channels and especially made use of various target keywords. Felt the functionality is very easy to implement/use.

What do you dislike?

I feel that there is not as much flexibility with adding creative elements to modules and would have like to be able to select placement on a specific area of the site rather than having to select by article pages.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We do struggle with placements as various teams are implementing modules at a given time in addition to prestitial ads, dynamic reg forms, etc. running through our CMS system. This is not always optimal for user experience.

"A platform with huge potential"

What do you like best?

The ability to tie together your customer data, distill potential behaviour patterns and content affinity and to subsequently build out meaningful segments.

What do you dislike?

The system is very back end oriented. The UX/UI needs to be expanded to follow a marketers use case. For instance a visual journey explorer would be a huge benefit. Also a trigger enabled journey builder would allow much quicker and easier way to leverage the raw power of the platform.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Understand better our 1) customer segments and 2) journeys as well as 3) custom ad targeting. We've seen benefits in in 1 and 3 but are struggling with 2.

What do you like best?

I like the fact that it allows us to gain better insights into what our audience are interested in. The fact that these audiences can then be used for targeting across different platforms is also valuable.

What do you dislike?

I think we still need more buy in from our media agencies to enable us to get better value from it.

What do you like best?

We have been able to drastically change how we target content and marketing materials through audiences based upon affinity. Our response rate, as well as our customer experience, have been greatly improved.

There are a few integrations that weren't available out-of-the-box, but we were able to have these addressed by the Lytics team in a timely manner.

"Massively powerful tool with a great team behind it"

What do you like best?

Dealing with the lytics team has been great they offer help every step of the way.

What do you dislike?

With such a powerful tool it can be difficult sometimes to know where to start. The software helps with this by providing some easy to use tools like popups etc. But some more guidance or tutorials would help.

Simple UI, machine-learning algos very interesting.

Really slow and difficult to get the tool implemented. No real a/b testing capabilities.

"A pretty nifty tool"

Relative intuitive nature of the tool makes training relatively fast and allows for users to get a handle on the basics quickly.

Lack of a self-monitoring system that would flag an issue before it is discovered by the user.
