**What do you like best about Lytics?**

Simple yet powerful UI. Great job by the Lytics team in making it easy to use and navigate. It also provides the integration capabilities needed with the tools required for a CDP. Overall, it’s a great tool.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

Limited unification support. Works only at Account level and not at Contact.

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customers visit multiple Akamai sites at different times and end up with fragmented information. Without Lytics, it would be difficult to connect the dots across those visits.

Lytics helps us gain insights into customer behavior and the events customers performed in previous sessions, which in turn helps us provide personalized web content. We also use it to target customers for upselling.

Lytics solves the problem of building 1-to-1 marketing campaigns. It also benefits us by focusing on behavior insights and advanced data science allowing us to deliver personalized marketing at scale. Overall great experience with Lytics!

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

The ability to simply unify data across channels has saved us lots of time during an average business day. The interfaces are easy to understand and there is a good amount of effort to ensure supporting materials are available if any questions or concerns arise.

The dashboards aren't as user friendly as I would hope and the customer service can be difficult to actually reach. Faster response times are greatly desired.

ID graphs can be a challenging topic to tackle. Lytics makes it straightforward to implement and understand.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

When you have an implementation issue that results in profiles faling into an unhealthy state it's a big effort to clean it up. It's typically easier to do an entire rebuild of all profiles in your account.

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lytics has helped us connect CRM profiles to web profiles. We realized that we have a large amount of our customers and prospects visiting the website in anonymous states. We can use Lytics features to take a best guess at identifying those users audience memberships.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

Live Nation benefits from Lytics' exceptional UI, data audits, and overall integration quality/volume. Many architectural and technical challenges are solved between teams.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

Staff turnover, real-time data triggers, data egress/ingress monitoring and proprietary query language have been hurdles Live Nation has had to address. Monitoring specifically has required homebrew solutions created by Live Nation in order to address data disparities and issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Lytics:**

Lytics excels at aggregation and profile creation/activation. For disparate data sources that need to be joined and actioned upon with speed, it is an excellent tool. Depending on your existing data model, some time-based and timestamp-specific functionality could be difficult to use.

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Lytics for real-time and batch data activations, as well as audience creation for our Paid Media teams. It has allowed for greater marketer autonomy and efficacy without relying on additional data-focused teams.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

We could kick this off quickly without a ton of overhead and begin collecting data on our customers and their interactions with our web properties.   Based on that data, we could make informed marketing decisions and see ROI beginning almost immediately after implementation.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

The only downside is that it requires some forethought on how you want to set up your relationships, and it takes a little time to correct if you don't do it right.  This scenario is certainly not a showstopper. It is possible to make the needed corrections; however, the Lytics team is engaged and makes sound recommendations upfront to prevent this from occurring, if possible.

We were looking to make more informed marketing decisions based on user behavior and insights around our customers.  As previously mentioned, we already see ROI across multiple marketing campaigns.

Exporting data/audiences to activate on other platforms. When there is no integration, it is somewhat painful to do.

We understand our customers better. We are able to understand the whole customer lifecycle and therefore increase the customer lifetime value by sending relevant messages at the right stage of the customer lifecycle.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

Its interface turns out to be quite simple and easy to use, the fact that it allows me to access a large number of resources to improve my marketing campaigns have made it my right hand in everything related to creation, design and implementation of digital marketing strategies within my company, its statistics panel shows me the information in a quite attractive and summarized way, which greatly simplifies the decision-making task within my company in a quite practical way, the fact That allows me to segment my clients and obtain feedback based on my target audience seems ideal for me to create and design new strategies in a much simpler and more practical way.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

My biggest complaint is their customer service, they respond to everything with a long delay, so if you have a problem and you can solve it yourself, do it, otherwise think twice before resorting to them since they can take up to one week to answer simple questions and without the right solution for your worst case.

It has been very useful for me to improve my marketing campaigns in a much simpler, simpler and faster way, allowing me to innovate and create new strategies that better adapt to the current needs of both my company and my clients and that In this way, my customer segment prefers to purchase my products and services over those of my competition.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

As a marketer, the best part of Lytics is the customized programs available for each individual part of the company, as well as each individual customer. Not only does Lytics allow me to target based on demographic information, but it also gives affinities and items that wouldn't typically be found on marketing websites.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

Since I use Lytics across so many mini-sites, I wish there were more design aspects to customize - often, it seems as though the pop-ups look extremely similar. It would be awesome if we could incorporate interactive elements like polls, videos, etc. in the slide-out boxes to "break up the noise" and encourage users to click.

**Recommendations to others considering Lytics:**

If you're struggling to reach specific audiences, Lytics is definitely for you. It will only improve your communications by adding another touch point in reaching the intended client. Another important consideration is the fact that you can use Lytics for more than just website marketing - we, for example, use it in creating email audiences to use in Message Central.

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've been able to reach targeted customers on a new level - a new touchpoint. This has opened many doors for us in communicating with clients who might not respond via email or other channels. Additionally, the "audience" creation tool has been integral in targeting customers through email (via Message Central); it has allowed us to create specific campaigns to extremely specific audiences (i.e. those with a high affinity, unique demographic info, etc.)

Lytics provides great functionally with its content affinity abilities and the capability of sorting otherwise unknown site visitors.

Lytics could improve its dashboards to be slightly more user friendly. The functionality and capabilities are great, but the way the information is organized could use slight improvements.

Explore all of the many features Lytics has to offer!

Lytics is helping us to solve the problem of unidentified users. For some articles on our site users are not required to be logged in to view and thus we miss out on capturing the full profile information on these users, but Lytics helps us identify the type of content these "unknowns" view and get a better picture of how they fit into our user base.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

The integrated NLP makes Lytics a good match for publishers or businesses that have a productive content engine in place. NLP classifications allow for audience definitions around content affinity (along with other signals), and built-in integrations mean that such audiences can easily be targeted across numerous paid and owned channels.

Their Pathfora JavaScript library offers out of the box personalisation capabilities. And their REST API is straightforward to work with. Their identity resolution capability allows for a unified customer view across devices, browsers, and domains.

From day to day account management through to the support they can offer on working with their API or experimenting with Data Science capabilities, the team at Lytics are fantastic.
 

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

As with many other CDPs, built-in reporting and visualisation is limited. But data stored in Lytics can be exported via various means, so the ability to export to a reporting focused tool is there. 

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Lytics to define audiences around content affinity / interest in certain topics, and to target these audiences across various paid and owned channels. We also enriched other platforms (such as a DMP) with Lytics audiences.

Many organisations attempt to build their own CDPs. Some do this with a reporting focus, others with a focus on activation - be it onsite personalisation or syncing audiences to other platforms. Lytics is especially strong on the activation side of things. So organisations working towards this end should consider working with such a partner rather than building their own audience and knowledge graphs and maintaining connectors.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

Speaking from the use case that I am most familiar with, my favorite thing is the ability to easily pull in website activity and marry it with Eloqua contact data to serve our contacts content that is relevant to them in the moment that it will help them the most. 

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

I actually dislike the nomenclature of Lytics. I feel that it is slightly confusing, and I also dislike the fact that there is no way to easily set up a notification if your workflow goes down. You have build the functionality on your end, or you have to remember to go in and check, or wait for someone to tell you something is wrong to discover it has failed. 

**Recommendations to others considering Lytics:**

Assess the complexity of the projects that you are thinking of using Lytics to feed. If you simply need segmentation, this tool is for you. If you need more journey orchestration/complex thinking, keep doing research.

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved that we could not leverage website activity natively in Eloqua, and the campaign has been successful. We have also rolled a lot of Lytics knowledge out to our digital teams who use the segmentation for PPC campaigns.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

I like how easy it is to use- we can train our jr. marketers who have no experience with coding or SQL skills and they can actually implement and stand up their ideas. Easy to test. If an effort isn't as successful as you think it could be, then pause it and try something different. It empowers all. 

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

We struggle with identity resolution, but that is mostly on our end and how our CRM system identifies a single profile- it just doesn't jive well with Lytics. I also do not like the lack of feature development. I think Lytics really needs to consider more client facing development and features. We have 9 clients that we support within the Agora umbrella and they always ask what the latest Lytics features are. We consistently struggle to answer this. 

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lytics allows teams that want to target a certain group of people to create the audience themselves and export via CSV. This has been very helpful with out Telesales groups as they are charged every time they want a new "list pull" from our CRM team. The CSV export allows them to include any data fields they want, they also use Epsilon 3rd party data about the customers household, income, spending habits etc.. to allow the sales teams to have a more informed conversation with their potential buyers. It still impresses me about how many different ways people use Lytics and see the benefits. Almost every day, there is a new idea that we help implement.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

Lytics is a unique software because you are able to use it to create multiple touch points to your customers while utilizing a multitude of data variables and sources. Additionally, it pulls together demographic and customer data in a clean and simple user interface. Lastly, the Lytics team is always willing to help set up audiences, analyze data, and make suggestions. Lytics has helped our bottom line by increasing our revenue an additional $50,000.  This is money we would've otherwise been unable to attain. 

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

The main thing I dislike is in regards to the user interface. When you publish a campaign, there is no way to turn it off fully (or archive) unless you set an "end date". We like to keep our campaigns up and determine the success on a week by week basis, so some stay up longer than others. In this case, when we finally are ready to turn them off, we can only "pause". When a campaign is paused it stays in the "Published Campaigns" section and can get clogged up. This is a small hiccup in an otherwise easy to use and clean interface.

Consider the data that you can source from Lytics alone and the possibilities are endless. Add on the easy to use interface and support team and it's a no brainer. For those looking to push their bottom line or just find an additional touch point to reach customers, Lytics is the software for you.

We are using Lytics to create targeted marketing campaigns and increase our omni-channel presence to our customers. We are able to use Lytics audiences to target customers via the web, email, and even print!

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

Our account manager Megan is always willing to help and responds in timely manner. The helpdesk team are also great. Lytics is super easy to use but Learn Lytics is helpful if you can't get in touch with the helpdesk for whatever reason.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

We are still only in the implementation process and haven't fully had the chance to dig deep into using the platform, so haven't got to the point where we have needed to really collaborate with the Lytics team to achieve our objective. This is not something I dislike about Lytics though, it's more of an organisational issue at our end.

**Recommendations to others considering Lytics:**

To make sure that you have a dedicated resource who can really get stuck into implementing Lytics into your organisation.

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not knowing who our audience is and not being able to generate active leads for our sales teams to pursue. As mentioned, we haven't delved deep enough into the platform to have solved any of our problems yet, but I do believe Lytics is building our audience and we will have a huge data pond that we can tap into.

I can target users anyway I like from URL visited to content they have engaged with on-site. The depth of targeting is second to none, and continues to give us greater customer understanding each time we build a new audience.

You guys are based in the US, and we are in the UK :)

Cart abandonment: we have options to target as they exit, come back, and by product to personalise the message. 

We work with various partners to provide target specific content, and the interests/propensity to like a similar product helps us to widen the audience volume.

Having all of our customer attributes within the platform available for other systems to use as well.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

Current integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud aren't real time and are limited.

Problems sometimes occur with the integrations we have with 3rd party tools. Seems when they are new, they have a few problems. They get resolved but it's a bit tough.

We also don't have good alerting around the tool to tell us when something is broken.

If you have a lot of data, and need it all realtime, work closely and make Lytics aware of that so you can optimize it the best way possible.

**What do you like best about Lytics?**

seamless and easy integration with external platforms. Easy segment composer and great support from the success team. Very smart CDP - behavioral segments based on 5-score system, affinity segments, content recommendations, and personalization. They got everything a modern marketer could ask for.

**What do you dislike about Lytics?**

Pop-up feature. Very poor UI, not flexible in terms of design, sometimes issues targeting. Not easy to preview and QA (especially if you want to preview pop-up after you set all the rules). Can't prioritize multiple pop-ups, hard to prevent audience overlays.

**Recommendations to others considering Lytics:**

Spend time and invest enough time and resources to make sure all data is plugged into Lytics, that it's clean and always current. That's the core of any CDP and that's the only way to get 100% out of this tool. It's a great tool but without the data or with bad data it's useless.

Lyitcs helps us quickly pull audiences based on their behavior to use in our PPC campaigns. These audiences are 10x more effective than the normal targeting options most PPC platforms provide

Setting up audiences can be a pain sometimes as the variables that are set for each parameter we have in our CRM systems don't always match the names that Lytics provides.

We are able to dial in our customer avatar. Especially being able to see the aggregate date of how our users use our site also helps tremendously.

Everything powered by data science means quicker adoption and better outcomes, all the way around.  Their Google Integrations are sublime so makes it very easy and adds lots of additional capability for a Google Cloud shop.  Their approach to content affinity has so many fantastic use cases.  The personalizatoin capabilities are very flexible through the SDK and their cross domain flexibilty makes it a true enterprise CDP.

Lacks tools for organizing segments, data visualization and analytics are performed outside fo the system (but this is commmon for most of the enterprise CDP technologies).  

**Recommendations to others considering Lytics:**

Really understand and communicate your use cases during the sales process as it will really help the selection.  

**What problems is Lytics solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary business problem was disparate customer data and no ability to activate customer segments.  Lytics easily handles the identity resolution and connection to the marketing channel (real time and flawlessly).  Lytics is also infusing the platform with Data Science that gives marketers a tremendous jump start in real world use cases.  Their "out of the box" segmentation around customer behavior (ie. likely to convert, unlikely to return, etc.) are exactly what a marketer needs to get campaigns and activations moving quickly.  We were able to not only monetize our audience more fully but we have better unknown to known conversion, better ROAS and better insight into our customer base.

We have a very complex group of software that all contains data on our customers, we were very quickly able to onboard all of our customer data into a unified view and empower our marketing team to develop segments and push them downstream to almost all of the omni channel marketing tools they were already using. We were able to easily install the necessary tracking scripts on our sites and begin gathering very useful information on our customers to personalize and market to them much more effectively. we have found it a pleasure working with the lytics customer success team and have developed a deep relationship that has proven to be very successful for our entire organization

we are excited to take advantage of their orchestrate offering once it has more integrations

Being able to pull data in from multiple platforms and see both our known and unknown audience at the same time. Being able to have Lytics tie content topics to our webpages is also very helpful!

Unable to take a group of audience and understand what content/topics they are most interested.  A lot of time we get specific populations of individuals we want more engagement information around but are currently unable to do so. Would love to be able to create an audience in Lytics and then see what their top affinity topics are.

The idea of what Lytics can do though I have not seen that in action yet since we still have not completed the integration. We began that process in October and it's April now.

The lack of responsiveness. Emails go unanswered for days. The service goes down affecting our sites' performance and there is no warning at all. Our account rep takes weeks to investigate and does not get back to us unless we hound him.

Consider another vendor unless you can dedicate a person on your team to hound Lytics continually. Even then, you may not get anywhere, as we found out.

We had  hoped to use Lytics to target audiences based on their content preferences and serve ads, modal windows and otherwise expose content they would be interested in. But as I said, we've been trying to finish the integration so we can do this but it drags on without end due to lack of responsiveness. We've been trying to integrate all our systems since October. It's mid-April. That's just unacceptable.

I like that you can see info on a user by user basis. You can see the pages they've visited, their LTV, and create csvs of these people for your sales team to contact.

I think it's a bit too difficult to connect to Google AdWords. I wish it was as simple as connecting it to Yahoo Gemini. I also think that when a company purchases Lytics, they shouldn't just have over the phone trainings, someone should come to the office instead. I couldn't learn Lytics at first and once i was shown in person, i was able to easily implement things.

We used to have to request email lists from another department every time we wanted to update them in Facebook, Google, etc. The fact that lytics does this automatically is great. Also, we had a subpar system in place for remarketing to people based on the pages/ topics they visited on our website. we can now do that easily. Remarketing on ad networks like Facebook, AdWords, Gemini used to be a pain, but with Lytics it's much easier and the possibilities seem endless. I also love that we can create lists based on LTV of a customer.

Getting identities to "known" status takes more effort than we had originally expected; managing Lytics tags for the large number of sites we have has also required a lot more effort than we expected; we had to develop a Wordpress plugin to facilitate the upgrade to the new version of the tags, and also to pass in custom keys/values. Wish more of this were out-of-the-box functionality.

All of the audiences we are able to tap into for marketing campaigns. The power to retarget users and target non subscribres is amazing.  I also enjoy the ablity to pull audiences based on their life time value. So far we have utilized a content affinity in one of our recent campaigns and found it to be a success. I like that the tpol updates audiences automatically.

It's not the most user friendly tool I've ever used. I think creating audiences is a little difficult. I also wish there was a place with video instructions on how to utlize the tool to it's full ability.
