**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

What I love most about Dotdigital is the endless customization options that are incredibly user-friendly. The platform makes it easy to tailor campaigns to fit specific needs, which is a huge plus. The onboarding and training process is fantastic, ensuring that users are well-prepared to make the most of all the features.

Additionally, Dotdigital stands out for its exceptional customer support. The team is always responsive and helpful, making sure any issues are quickly resolved. Another strong point is its powerful integration capabilities. Dotdigital works seamlessly with various other platforms like your webshop, ERP and CRM system making it a versatile tool for marketers.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

he cost can be quite high, especially for smaller businesses or those with tight budgets. Also, the extensive features can be a bit overwhelming at first, and it might take some time to get fully comfortable with all the functionalities.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives insights in the customer journey and how and when to target them with usefull e-mails helping us to raise the servicebar even higher.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

Dotdigital simplifies the process of targeting and segmenting our audience, as well as sending emails, through its intuitive drag-and-drop system. Creating templates and automating emails is effortless with all the tools conveniently available in one place. On top of that, their support team is quick to address and resolve any issues that arise and our Client Success Manager Emily Bowerman goes above and beyond to understand our business needs.

I can't address anything negative in regard to the platform.

Email marketing, it works perfectly for us and the synchronisation with Salesforce helps. Account managers do a great job checking in.

More free training would be beneficial, other than that the system is great. Used the platform for over 7 years now and still going strong.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaching our customers easily, utilizing the templates and plain text email function is simple. We have actually also started using the SMS function to let our clients know when our system has any upcoming updates / issues or outages so that works great too.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

How friendly the drag and drop system is, if you have custom templates set up then making email campaigns is a breeze! Making the actual templates is very easy as I just made two in less than a week for  a project!

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

We have a lot of images in our library and sometimes scrolling through to find the highlighted image is quite hard.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital solves the issue of being an easy to undersand email creation tool. I have used others and definitely prefer this one.

Very easy to navigate, implemented AI features are very helpful.

Communication from the team, very supportive when needing assistance.

Lack of fonts, not being able to add fonts onto the system.

Often HTML codes provided by clients are not compatible with Dotdigital and break the code.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital helps with mass sending of emails and also the building and creating of email templates.
A common error is when clients send html's don't work but Dotdigital makes it easy to replicate these almost immediately, and use as a template for the next send.

I really like Dotdigital’s user-friendly and intuitive interface. It makes the platform easy to use without appearing overly technical, which I appreciate given its technical nature. I also find it very beneficial for effectively segmenting contact lists to target audiences with appropriate messaging, enhancing our email marketing efforts. The ease of building out segments is another feature that stands out to me.

1I think that the spacer feature can be a little bit fiddly

I find Dotdigital enables us to effectively segment contact lists, targeting audiences with relevant messaging, benefiting our diverse product range. It allows us to reach our entire contact base through one system, and its user-friendly interface simplifies email marketing efforts.

We have been customers of dotdigital for several years and our experience has been consistently positive. The platform operates smoothly, and the live chat support is highly responsive whenever we’ve needed assistance. Additionally, dotdigital is committed to continuous improvement, regularly rolling out updates and new features that enhance usability and functionality.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

There have been no significant downsides during our time using the platform. While we've encountered minor inconveniences on rare occasions, they have been infrequent and not impactful enough to recall specific examples.

Dotdigital primarily supports us with our automated email programs, as well as the regular email campaigns we send out approximately twice a week. Their platform has streamlined our communications and improved our marketing efficiency.

Dotdigital has completely transformed our email marketing efforts! The platform was easy to implement, and is packed full of features. The customer support team are incredibly knowledgeable and very responsive. I use Dotdigital every day and would highly recommend it!

Only that we didn't start using it sooner!

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

As the Marketing Manager at Kintec, what I appreciate most about Dotdigital is how intuitive and user-friendly the platform is. Whether we’re building automated campaigns, segmenting customer lists, or analyzing performance, the interface makes every step straightforward and efficient

Dotdigital’s customer support is another standout. Their team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us make the most of the platform (Thanks to Pryscylla! and the online support team too). Whenever we’ve had questions or needed guidance, we’ve received timely, thoughtful solutions.

Integration has also been seamless. We rely heavily on API connections with our POS and BigCommerce platform, and Dotdigital has made it easy to centralize our customer data. This connectivity has significantly improved our ability to deliver personalized, data-driven communications that support both our in-store and online customer experience.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

It would be great if we could determine how to integrate our orthotic patient data fully into the platform. I think this is possible, but seems to be a bit tricky in terms of implementation or timely, costly etc.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it’s enabled us to unify customer data across platforms. With integrations into both our POS system and BigCommerce site, we now have a centralized view of customer behavior across online and in-store channels. This has allowed us to send much more relevant, personalized communications—leading to improved engagement and conversion rates.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

I like how easy this product is to use, but at the same time how technical you can get with it.
The support team is great and 95% of the time they can answer support queries really swiftly.
Me and my team use the platform daily so am a very frequent user

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

It is sometimes frustrating when a feature doesn't exist and you have no power in getting items onto a dev roadmap.
We have struggled to really get to find out all that is possible with Dotdigital.

Dot digital is helping us to segment our data in ways that we are unable to via our current CRM setup.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

I really like that Dotdigital strikes the right balance between simplicity and flexibility. The email automation tool is easy to use, which makes setting up campaigns quick and intuitive. At the same time, it offers the depth needed to build complex, highly customized programs when needed. It's a great platform for both straightforward email workflows and more advanced, segmented automation strategies. And they answer their chat!

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

If I had to pick something I don’t like, it would be that I’ve run into some challenges integrating Google Ads tracking with their embedded forms. It’s a bit of a hassle, but honestly a pretty minor issue in the grand scheme of things and their support has always at least tried to be helpful. Overall, Dotdigital has been a solid platform.

Timeliness in the sales process.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

What I appreciate most about Dotdigital is the platform’s ease of use it’s intuitive and efficient, which makes day-to-day tasks smoother. Beyond the product itself, the support is outstanding. My Customer Success Manager, Madi, is incredibly responsive and helpful, and when needed, the broader support team is always quick to step in. It truly feels like I have a dedicated team behind me. Plus, the wide range of tools and capabilities Dotdigital offers helps set me up for success and allows us to execute campaigns with confidence.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

While there’s nothing I truly dislike about Dotdigital the platform has been great overall I do think there’s an opportunity to enhance it further by incorporating AI-driven features. It would be helpful to have tools that offer suggestions for campaign optimization, recommend segments to target, or provide insights based on performance data. Adding that layer of intelligence could make an already strong platform even more powerful.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital has helped me streamline and build effective automation journeys, which saves time and improves our customer engagement. It’s also been huge in helping us clean up and organize our data, making our campaigns more targeted and efficient. Overall, it simplifies complex tasks and allows us to execute with more confidence and clarity.

  ### 17. Always improving with customer in mind

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

I think it's quite user-friendly; I love the segmentation and how much you can do with that. Dynamic content has made it so much easier for us to make our campaigns more relevant. There's so many possibilities for automation that is currently, and will further increase our organisation's efficiency. It's great for analytics, they're easy to follow, and find the exact metric we want. The live chat is amazing and used a lot by me and our colleagues, great to have people with a lot more expertise than me respond so quickly, and helpfully. The blogs are also brilliant, if I'm trying to do something new I'll always look to see if there's a blog for it before I do so and there usually is, which gives me step-by-step instructions of how to do something, in a way that's super easy to follow. I'm also constantly discovering new features I didn't know existed, or new ways to do things, I feel like I'm constantly learning on the platform, which is further enhanced by the webinars and events DD  organise, which are excellent opportunities for CPD.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

There's some features which can be bit annoying, for example the line spacing in campaigns can be inconsistent, even if two text boxes are set to the same, they can look completely different which just baffles me. I love DD as a platform but I think it can be a bit overly salesy, with always having the spend money to buy extras, and whenever we're close to our yearly email sends it's always "would you like to buy more?" rather than helping us find a way to reduce our sends. Our org has been a customer of DD for a good few years now so it'd be great if our loyalty was appreciated a little bit more, I guess more familiarity and less transactional. Whilst I love the analytics the campaign reports could be a bit more detailed, for example you can't see a breakdown of the dynamic content used, would be great if we could see CTR for these, and A/B testing, the only comparable data for this is % of clicks/opens, would be super useful if we could see more data for this. I also don't like that you can't edit the default unsubscribe screen, I know you can create a custom one, but it'd be so much easier if we could just edit the default one, or even just change the wording to make it more relevant, and it uses American spelling which seems a bit impersonal. Also, another thing I recently noticed is that you can perform a spam check when you're sending an email and it'll tell you things you've scored points on, like "excessively long line" but it won't tell you where it is! This is a little frustrating.

It's making a lot of what we do more efficient, and love how relevant we can make our marketing emails now, it's really improving our webinar attendance and CPD sign ups.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

Dotdigital is a very easy to use platform. It's straightforward and has a user-friendly interface, but also has plenty of add-ons and features if you need something a bit more robust.
They also have a great team. Any time I or one of my team members has needed customer service or tech support, we've gotten an almost-immediate response and a clear solution. Our account rep, Alyssa, is also great. She always has useful information and a ready review of our account at each meeting, and really knows what she's doing. She provided a fantastic annual review for us.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Some of the "Settings" are a bit clunky, and I don't think it makes sense to have many of the tools they have categorized under settings there. You also cannot view detailed information about the IP addresses used to send your emails or the level of detail on sender reputation that we would sometimes like.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good platform for our outbound email marketing.

Dotdigital is an intuitive, user-friendly platform that enables marketers of any level of ability to create impactful email campaigns, landing pages and enquiry forms. We love the access available to expert help when needed, and the detailed data reports we can generate following email campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Dotdigital is quite expensive and the creative options available when designing an email template can sometimes be restrictive to an inexperienced user. A template design service is available, but this is also expensive when you are working with a tight budget. A direct integration with Pipedrive would also be helpful, although Zapier does provide what we need (if we pay for a Zapier subscription).

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital is effective at helping us to reach our audience in the NHS, an audience who are traditionally difficult to access due to strict spam filters. Although there are still some issues with non-human data being included in email campaign reports, this is an issue that is slowly improving. Recently our Account Manager (Oliver Hamilton) helped us to upgrade our account to suit our new requirements, with the use of an additional child account and an increased contact limit. This will enable us to keep a level of separation between our email marketing campaigns and contacts in the UK and New Zealand/Australia without having to have to entirely separate accounts.

What I find most appealing about Dotdigital's user-friendly interface with drag-and-drop journeys is that it allows even non-technical users to easily and successfully build complex automations. This greatly simplifies my day-to-day work. From a single dashboard, the platform also provides omnichannel automation, enabling us to manage email, SMS, push notifications, WhatsApp, and much more. Its advanced segmentation and personalization capabilities also allow us to create highly targeted and relevant campaigns, thereby increasing customer engagement and return on investment.

Although Dotdigital offers several helpful capabilities, some areas could use improvement. Particularly when creating complicated data flows or integrations, the more sophisticated components of the platform might be difficult to grasp. Particularly for people wanting real-time data, the reports could also be simpler to modify. I really like how Dotdigital lets us create customised email campaigns and segment customers into specific groups. It’s easy to refer back to previous emails or create updated versions, which saves a lot of time. The AI features are helpful, and I’m excited about exploring SMS and WhatsApp options as we expand our communications. Implementation was straightforward, and I find myself using the platform frequently. Reporting is clear, integrations with different audience lists are simple, and their support is always there when needed. Overall, it’s a very user-friendly and versatile platform for our marketing needs.

There’s really very little I dislike about Dotdigital, but I’d love more ways to quickly learn about new features or updates, perhaps with video tutorials or short guides. Being able to connect Dotdigital to our website (Magento 2.0/Adobe Commerce)  so that new web customers automatically enter into our welcome program and are added to Dotdigital contacts. The ability see revenue attributed to an email campaign. The ability to set up email programs. Plus, it's an intuitive platform that you can navigate around with ease and email design is user-friendly. Customer support has been excellent also.

Revenue of campaigns can be somewhat distorted - attributes sales that are not necessarily resulting an email campaign. Additionally, Dotdigital does not capture in-store sales - we often have customers come into store saying they "saw an email about x", however, the functionality of Dotdigital doesn't provide total revenue across channels.

Welcome program introduces new customers to hanleys with a series of 3 emails which include information, a video, account creation and encouragement to set email preferences.

Dotdigital is a very intuitive platform - really easy to use and navigate. The interface and UI makes it a platform that's helps to get the job done. I uses this platform almost daily. 

The AI function really helps to make content development more efficient and speedy.

Uploading lists is a really simple and quick process. 

Form set up is also very easy - helps to make a busy marketeers life easy.

Customer support is very good we always get a prompt response from Jay Jones in a timely manner.

Reporting is also very easy to use.

The email nurture section is a little tricky. It's a new aspect to our team. maybe needs to be used more to grow confidence in using this feature. 

However the training we had was good - explained in an easy to digest way.

I'd like to understand more aspects of the integration to our CRM.

Helps to push out external email communications to groups of existing and prospect customers.

We moved to Dotdigital in 2024 and have had no regrets.  The platform has so many features our old marketing platform did not have and the onboarding was super easy and detailed.  The customer support and our account manager are wonderful and I have never had to wait more than 24 hours for a question to be answered.  The also have AI built in to help you create creative and eye appealing content!

I have not found anything that I do not like yet.  Everything has been wonderful!

Customer service - they have an amazing AI bot called Winston who answers the majority of my questions / points me to the help articles I need. If the bot can't answer it then a human is there to help within a couple of minutes. My account manager - Sean - is really helpful with more complicated questions and they've even arranged calls for our dev with their technical team over complicated coding questions.

Easy and intuitive platform - Dotdigital is a really in-depth platform with the option to do pretty much anything you could want from an ESP but it's built in such a way that you can usually figure things out and don't have to read loads of help articles / have training to be able to send an email.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Pricing and lots of extra costs - we have a monthly plan which appears to include lots of functionality however when you delve into the detail there are hidden costs ie. renting keywords to send SMS even though the plan includes SMS.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can simple send one off emails or build complicated automations, landing pages and SMS all within the same platform. It meets all our requirements as an organisation and allows us to send comms to our audiences all from one platform.

The integration with Spektrix is amazing, the drag and drop features are really easy to use and I personally managed to teach myself how to use it. We use Dotdigital weekly for various emails, including automatic emails. There are constantly new features being explored which is great too!

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

I'm finding some of the newer features more difficult to learn, and I can imagine some less tech-savvy users might have difficulty with the interface.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating some aspects of my job - allowing me to focus on other tasks.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

Dotdigital is incredibly easy to use and intuitive. New members of the team have therefore gotten up to speed on how to use the platform quickly and with little training. The interface is clear, and reports and analytics are easy to manipulate and digest. The location of different tools is always easy to find, and the help function is very well structured and easy to search if we ever get stuck. Dotdigital's support team are also excellent, responding quickly and solving issues promptly.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Our customer base is predominantly schools, it would therefore be useful if we could target buying behaviour at an org/establishment level, rather than individual customers. We're able to do this through our CRM system, but it would be useful to have this targeting functionality within Dotdigital.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital solves the challenge of managing and automating our multiple email marketing workflows. By providing an intuitive drag-and-drop program interface, integrated automation features, and advanced personalisation tools, Dotdigital allows us to efficiently create, optimise and deliver targeted campaigns at scale. This not only streamlines campaign management and enhances customer engagement, but also frees up our time to focus on strategic goals rather than manual processes.

Currently there is no ability to use a contact ID other than their email.  We have contacts with multiple email addresses.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital is enabling us to easily execute a robust digital consumer engagement plan to solicit, thank, and inform supporters of our brand.  Soon we will be able to speak to supporters about areas of our work that match their interests via an automated segmentation scheme.

DotDigital is very intuitive to use and out of the other market competitors offered the best value for money. Everyone we have worked with has been quick to respond and we have had a thorough on-boarding period so far. The platform offers us better reporting than we have ever had before and we are looking forward to using it more moving forward. The migration package has been extremely successful for us and we have seen great results.

The training was a quite generalised and we would love to see more specific use case training in the future.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have previously suffered from very time consuming, manual processes. We are in the process of moving these over to the platform to save our team members more time.

The chat feature for immediate support, the improved reporting features that were just implemented.

I wish the images showed the full description of the file when in list view. It would make it easier for me to pick and drop them into the emails. No option to attach PDFs make some of our B2B emailing  challenging.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our internal email campaign system, MS Dynamics, is not as user-friendly as Dot Digital.
