"Certona provides automated recommendations and personalization solutions"

What do you like best?

As I help drive my company's website experience initiatives, it's easy to see the value in providing a shopping experience that serves up personalized recommendations and helps automate the process of getting the right product in front of the customer as quickly as possible. Certona offers solutions to make sure your customers are getting the experience they've come to expect as savvy online shoppers.

What do you dislike?

Implementation has been a very rocky road, we are still waiting to realize the full functionality that we signed on to receive almost a year after first signing with them. We asked about the availability of specific features in their search tool during our sales calls, were promised the functionality we requested was available and then after signing learned that their current version of the tool didn't offer the features we need. So we haven't gone live with that yet either.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be prepared for a lengthy implementation process. This includes having to follow up often with your account rep to ensure progress is being made. Also, like most vendors, be wary of promises made by the sales team. Vet any must have technical requirements with your own technical team and a member of their technical team.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Besides having an automated, data driven way to serve up a personalized experience for our customers Certona also is giving us valuable insight into how our customers are interacting with the recommendations which in turn allows us to continue to improve the overall experience.

"Boosted Performance! "

What do you like best?

Certona has been great for us. Implementation was straightforward and we saw nearly immediate results and improvements in our on-site recommendations performance. We are able to adjust on the fly but also have a great support team who is willing to help us great the best in class experience we are looking for.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that the user interface is a bit dated and not the easiest to use, but it gets the job done. I have also found that sometimes the dashboards and reporting include data that is questionable. However, the Certona team has been prompt to address any issues and resolves them as quickly as they can.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Certona is a great tool if you are looking to make an investment to provide your customers with a great cross selling onsite functionality. We have seen great improvements in our conversion key performance metrics and are seeing continuous improvement as well.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to provide our customers with more relevant product recommendations that ultimately leads to higher conversion for us. We want to create a best-in-class experience for our customers and Certona has been one of the key components in driving this forward.

"Professional and efficient "

What do you like best?

They’re really follow with their clients. The platform is complete and easy to use. They have so many solutions for recommendations and reduce the bounce rate. Really good to personalize your site.

What do you dislike?

Coding is really long sometimes but otherwise everything is good.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have a higher demand, AOV, items per order.

"Using Certona to drive cross selling"

What do you like best?

Smart people who have developed a turn key approach to using your own selling data to identify other items that customers should be buying.

What do you dislike?

Although they have a lot of data, they do not use it as well and for as many things as I think they can.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Upselling customers with related products or products that others have also purchased. We have realized an increase in sales.
