**What do you like best about RAVE Alert?**

Rave allows us to give the necessary information to our Faculty, Staff and students

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

I dislike that RAVE has yet to develop an APP for easier access.  At this time we have to log into a PC, half the time the password has expired and the other half we log into the wrong site.  RAVE is very inconvienent.

It keeps our faculty staff and students aware of Emergencies.  However due to the inconvience of not having an app it isn't benefiting me at all.

**What do you like best about RAVE Alert?**

Rave Alert allows us to create predetermined alert templates for many different potential emergencies. Students get automatically registered into the system once they register as students, and the institution does not have to have a dedicated person to populate and register students.

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

So far every thing is good with our system. If i had to choose, we have to manualy delete graduating seniors of transfer student every semester is one thing that i dislike.

Rave Alert has revolutionized public notifications in Jefferson County, Colorado, by providing a one-stop shop for citizen enrollment and vital updates. In our experience with Rave Alert, there is truly not much to dislike. While we did encounter some growing pains at the outset, the standout feature was the unwavering support provided by the Rave team. Their commitment to ensuring a smooth experience was evident at every step of the way.

**What do you like best about RAVE Alert?**

We really like the ease of use.  There have been improvements over the years which we were happy with (and had suggested a couple that were implemented).  The Rave team has always been very good.

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

With the recent changes by FEMA (or whoever it was) regarding the automatic weather notifications, we have some fears about these going out.  The fix was rapid but we are still a little unsure of everything with it now.

**What problems is RAVE Alert solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not sure why we could only pick Emergency Notifications above.  We use it for other things as well.  We needed an easy way to communicate with our schools when incidents happened in their proximity, Rave Alert solved that problem.  We loved the automatic weather notifications, but we still are a little worried about how it's being done now, but once we see more things go out our confidence will grow.

1. The ease of this product sets it apart. I know that my staff has an instant way of contacting not only authorities, but also each other in the case of an emergency. 2. Customer service has been prompt and proactive. VERY impressed.

I'd like to see options for hands-free AI usage in case the caller is incapacitated in some way.

RAVE has given us an immediate way to alerting everyone in the case of a campus emergency. VITAL!

Ability to use established templates.  Ability to see past alerts that were sent out.  Knowledge of the sucessful alerts received and those that didn't answer or receive messages.

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

I don't have any dislike currently.  I don't send alerts as frequently as my other staff and I have not heard any dislikes/complaints.

Currently the problems that RAVE Alert  is solving is the ability to reach out to a large campus population and the benefit is that elimates unecessary calls into the dispatch center.

We will use for non-emergency alerting as well; within the First Responder Community.  Hopefully this alleviates multiple texts/calls, etc and everyone gets the SAME message.  Minimize confusion

It's reliability and logevity. They have been and remain at the forefront of the ENS market, especially in Higher Ed.

Older architecture limits it's ability to look and function as smooth as more modern competitors.

**What do you like best about RAVE Alert?**

Lake County, Indiana, has used the RAVE Alert system since it acquired RapidNotify. Under the old system, when an update needed to be made, Johnny would call our office to ask for his number to be updated, and Grandma would call to say she moved. We have nearly 500,000 citizens, and there's no way our office can handle that call volume, nor will people typically let us know that anyhow. I asked Rave to turn on the option for citizens to sign up on their own and manage their accounts. We have them sign up through Smart911 exclusively, and from there, they can create a profile, maintain their account and information, and best of all, Smart911 integrates Rave, so it's a one-stop-shop. For that reason, we don't allow registration through the Rave site, but you have that option as well. With the blessing of our Board of Commissioners, we have onboarded 6 of 19 municipalities so they can send alerts to their community. It saves them money because they were paying for a separate service. This makes it a greater value to the entire county. We hope to onboard those that haven't yet by the end of 2021. Their support is professional as well. Turnaround time and follow-up are typically more than acceptable. They are also not closed-minded when it comes to feedback and suggestions.  They recently implemented a system-wide change that makes the system more user-friendly for the citizens. All in all, there's nothing negative I can say about Rave.

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about Rave. We had our bumps and bruises at the onset, but they go out of their way to get to know their customers. To me, customer service is the absolute top expectation I have of all vendors. If that is lacking, they're out the door. I don't have the power to terminate them, but I can de-recommend them if appropriate. I recently recommended a five-year extension of our contract vs. a three-year extension. This went beyond the cost savings. The recommendation was based on overall performance since inception three years earlier. If I'm fair and honest, the whole three-year term would be an A-. That's because any hurdles and issues were overcome and the efforts to go over and above count as extra credit.

**Recommendations to others considering RAVE Alert:**

If you're a government entity, consider Smart911 and Rave Alert. It adds value.

**What problems is RAVE Alert solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) Quick communication to the citizens
2) Bringing municipalities together working with the county government
3) Saving money for our municipalities and therefore the citizens of the same
4) The benefit of one login for two services
5) Ability for non-residents of the county or a municipality to receive alerts they want for whatever reason
6) COMMUNITY OUTREACH

I'm sure there's more, but that's the best I can come up with at the moment.

Rave is dependable. I know I can trust it to send out the message to the correct list. I particularly like how easy it is to designate somebody as a list manager for only one list.

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

Like any off-the-shelf software, you have to make your needs fit its solution. We would like to have more lists available but can't justify the cost of a list for only a few specific users in a very limited use-case.

Rave is a solid solution to the problem of quickly alerting users. It reliably gets the message out to all of our 1800+ users in only a minute or two.

**What problems is RAVE Alert solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Rave has allowed us to quickly adapt work schedules to changing delivery schedules and tell all the workers. Doing so enables us to operate the production lines at an efficient staffing level. Being able to do this quickly and reliably has saved many hours of telephone tag.

RAVE Alerts can be sent over a variety of platforms: targeted messages via text message, email or voice message, social media, in-house television screens, over the downloaded RAVE Guardian App

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

We added on RAVE Guardian after already having RAVE Alert, it is apparently very complex to align the due dates on the bills and so we have to send 2 checks at different times in the fiscal year and the contracts have different end-dates.  It would seem that some work could be done in-house between the sales personnel and contracts or billing personnel to a more sensible solution for the customers would be helpful.

**What problems is RAVE Alert solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to send out notifications over different social media accounts depending upon our message or target audience, which is very helpful!  This has allowed us to be able to appropriately tailor our messages and cut out extra steps when timeliness matters most!

It is quick and easy to use.  You can keep all of your lists all together in one place and it is easy to make changes in them.  It allows us to send out mass communications to more than 800 employees at one time.  It is quick & efficient.

There is no downside that I have found yet.  We love the system and use it as our primary mass communication tool.

It is a great system, very thorough and easy to use.  It will help you save a lot of time in an emergency situation.  In addition to emergency use, we also use it to send out alerts for critical staffing staffing needs.

The ability to sending out mass communications to many different groups out quickly as possible.  And having all of your groups set up already makes it quick and easy

The platform is so flexible to set up various alert types based upon your community and agency needs.  Including pre-canned alerts you only need to make a few clicks and they push, to customizable alert methods to reach different audiences.

I wish the Facebook alert method had the ability to add images to it.  Images are worth a thousand words!

We used Rave Alert extensively in 2020 during the initial months of the pandemic to make effective messaging.  Messages from the platform were consistent with that of CDC, Local Health Department, and thus treated as authoratative and respected by the community.

It is effortless to use for our dispatchers

I would like it to be easier for our staff to add or remove numbers for our citizens.  We have elderly that just want a number added for emergency notifications and don't want to sign up for anything online

**What problems is RAVE Alert solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Emergency weather notifications.  Missing kids have been located as a direct result of messages from Rave to the general public asking for their assistance.  
We love the poll feature when sending out SWAT and CART (Child Abduction Response Team) call-outs.  Imagine the dispatch center is already overwhelmed and can't add 50 or more calls to their plates.  They can immediately have answers from the poll results for Comand Staff about who is responding and if we need additional resources

The ability to manage many users and to provide roles for each group.

**What do you dislike about RAVE Alert?**

Interface design. As with many software that was built in the past the interface stays the same even though other assets have been improved the interface should also follow the updates to align with a modern interface. This is an ongoing and difficult task to stay current.

Alerting the campus to situations that everyone on campus needs to know. The benefits include a quick way to reach all faculty, staff, and students efficiently and quickly.

**What do you like best about RAVE Alert?**

I use Rave Alert to set up overtime for our correctional facility. I like how it allows me to select certain users, rather than blast everyone and bother them on their days off. I also like the fact that I can choose how they receive the message, so that they cannot say they didn't receive it.

Simplicity and reliability.  We've had success with RAVE over the past few years.  Our end users are happy with their experience.

It would be nice for the end user and /or the sender to be able to cause the alert to trigger different sounds or reactions on the end user's phone.  We send different levels of alerts and have yet to find a way for a low level alert to not wake up users but a critical alert to wake them up.

The RAVE implementation team is extremely useful.  Spend some time really working through your needs and planning out usage before you get going, so that they can be most helpful.

Mass communication of critical information.  We can pull in individuals from many teams all at once when we have a critical event.  We use the system for many level of communication.  We're able to commuincate things such as fire or missing patients.  We use it for more day to day business on a limited basis.  It is currently one method by which we communicate level of demand in the emergency department.  We regularly use it for all manner of emergency managment exercises.

**What problems is RAVE Alert solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can send important messages quickly, i.e., moving cars, water main breaks.  The fact that messages are being sent to phones and emails ensures more people will receive them.
