I remember when we were setting it up it was perhaps a little more robust than we needed. We wanted one video to play on a loop and there were a lot of features we don't take advantage of. Not necessarily a bad thing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Series 5 - Don't work, Don't Purchase"

What do you like best about BrightSign?

What do you dislike about BrightSign?

I've been using BrightSign for almost 2 years. Recently, I purchased 7 series 5's because 4's are no longer available. They haven't worked since I installed them. Randomly throughout the day, they reboot over and over by themselves or will completely lockup. I have to go into BSN.Cloud to reboot them. Every morning since they've been installed, I reboot them several times a day. I've been working with BrightSign support for over a month. Absolutely worthless. I feel like I've been extremely patient, but that is coming to an end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BrightSign?

What I like best is that BrightSign is completely reliable. You set it up and it runs flawlessly without ever having to reboot it and with no errors. The software it comes with is intuitive and can be configured to display images, videos, live feeds etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrightSign?

You need to remember to purchase a microSD card separately to store the programming in the unit. Get a large card if you plan on having long videos in high resolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about BrightSign?

It's great to be able to update signage from anywhere as long as I have the software installed on my laptop Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BrightSign?

The last update to the software changed a number of features and caused some issues for us. We also find that syncing becomes as issue more frequently now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While the product is very mature, there are still a number of areas which can be improved. The initial hardware investment can be a hard to buy-in from when comparable hardware is available to the general public. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering BrightSign:

Make sure to consider the amount of integration and development time needed to develop the digital assets. Keep in mind there are other standards (like ADA/Accessibility) for displays which will be placed in public areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is BrightSign solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have primarily deployed the BrightSign displays and players to show scheduling information and advertising at a number of our locations. Being in the hospitality industry, we have a good number of people that are looking for information on where to go for their event and BrightSign is an easy way to do that. What problems is BrightSign solving and how is that benefiting you?

We manage thousands of BrightSign devices all over the world. Each time we upload content, sending out technicians would cost us astronomical amounts of money. Also, in place of static marketing, it is both more engaging and less expensive over time.
