I've been using Microsoft's STT service for years. Unfortunately, their STT service is far from good. I'm using ElevenLabs' service for some time now and I'm pretty pleased with the results. Something I am looking for is a service that I can upload time-coded English subtitles and a movie for Text to Speech (Bulgarian Dub) if ElevenLabs can implement such a feature, I would gladly test it. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** I am using ElevenLabs for a short period now, so I can't say yet. **What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** My company has its TV channels, one of which is related to travel, destinations, hotels, nature and hard-to-pronounce places. Unfortunately, some of the content we acquire not always come with dialogue lists or scripts, so we use Speech to Text services in order to generate subtitles and translate them. We use hard-subtitles for our content. Soon, we are considering dubbin for this TV channel and we are lookin for good Text to Speech service which we can upload the movie and the subtitles. I haven't tried ElevenLabs direct translation and dubbing yet, since I am pretty sure I will not be pleased with the results. There are a lot of specifics in these movies and hard-to-pronounce places, castles, etc. As for ElevenLabs Speech to Text service with certainly I can say that I'm very pleased with the resaults. About 99% is correct every time. ### 4. I enjoy reading poems and literary works with them. I also use them for webcasting.It has a very easy to use interface. And everything is very clearly explained. Whether you clone your own voice or use one of a variety of different voices. I use it almost every day because my followers love the sounds I produce. Very professional software, and so is what they produce. It is almost impossible to tell if it is a production or a clone. The feature I use the most is the voice changer. It also has the ability to clone your own voice and chat. You can also dub the text with the voice of your choice. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** I find it pointless to be able to add up to 10 voices within my own voices. Documentation is good and easy to follow. The Conversational AI component works works very well enabling a significant reduction in the time to market. Price point seems competitive. Implementation is is accelerated by the provision of the SDK allow direct integration in to the product. Customer support access seems efficient. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** The is a disconnect between some of the API's and the node SDK. Specially the SDK does not define all interfaces resulting in combination of camel case and snake case implementation. This is not always obvious and requires some trial and error. Documentation presents the most simplistic use-case which means that there are no examples for more complex (real-world) setups. Combined with the SDK disconnect this slows dev work. As such the ease of integration could be improved with a little extra development of the SDK. Ability to train / guide the agent, and choose the LLM I want to connect with is another flexibility that I like. And then there is voice cloning -- all this is so fascinating in this AI era and things start to look possible which were before impossible. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** Well the first thing I was shocked to know was that there is a very low limit of concurrent call that a agent can have. This was a bummer. With so much of potential, such limit is loosing on lot of possibilities. While the enterprise plans have some option of increasing this limit but I was not able to understand if a business has a possibility to have hundreds / thousands of call (think support and sales on website where people can self serve them) , they won't be able to do so. This is such a road blocker. And then secondly, the costing of the plans needs to be thought through again. There are other API's (whisper, TTS, etc.) that are open source, yes they don't sound that humanly but can be trained. And sooner or later one of the big players out there will come out with similar options in cheaper plans. So from my perspective it makes sense to have massive adoption of users before anyone else does with reasonable pricing plans. Bonus: Tavus (though not cheap) also offers human avatar with lip syncing and also sees what the user is doing on screen. Something to be inspired from. **What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well, it hasn't solved all the problems yet, but looks promising to solve initial sales screening, consultancy via AI agent and all those scenarios where TTS is needed. ### 17. In many cases, the end of a sentence sounded as if it were a question. Each time this happens, I have to regenerate the audio until the sentence sounds natural, which uses credits unnecessarily. After generating, it's very easy to download and implement into my preferred editing module, which is Adobe Premiere. I've been able to use it on a regular basis to generate internal and customer-facing videos utilizing our company founder's voice. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** I've found it difficult to make minor adjustments or to change the emotion of the voice after generating speech. **What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's creating a much more streamlined workflow in my video editing and creating process by removing the need for scheduling time in my Founder's busy schedule. Rather than squeezing in 15 minutes to record sub-par voiceovers, it takes me less time than that to generate a voiceover using his voice in ElevenLabs. ### 50. I just add my transcript and it uses my voice clone to get the job done. The tool is easy to use with clear UI and help from the integrated AI makes it easy to use and navigate.
