He knew tons of other DJs and voice actors who could make his commercials, channel identifications, and more just sound fantastic. Some of them were even as epic as The Movie Announcer Voice Himself, Don LaFontaine. ElevenLabs allows me to engage people with voices just like those days, voices with dramatic effect, gravitas, and real weight. I have used ElevenLabs primarily because I can have truly professional voiceovers, scripted and edited and refined by me alone, to tell exactly the story I want. Extremely easy to navigate the site, find just the right voice, and tweak anything I need to in order to find just the right vocal environment for my needs. ElevenLabs is SO MUCH BETTER than 'having to know a guy'. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** SO FAR, the platform is moving so fast, I am a little overwhelmed by everything I can do under my Creator Plan. I used to have primarily a voice studio, and now I have voice changer,voice isolater, sound effects, music, dubbing... I'm having a hard time keeping up and following the learning curve, but that's probably about 90% my problem, and 10% the way the new additions have caused the site to be re-designed. So, stupid as it sounds, I am actually saying I dislike the fact that I'm getting an atrociously sweet value for my money, now that I think about it more, because I am slow. If I had a TEAM, I'm sure we'd use every part of our subscription, but since it's just me, I have a LOT of practicing and studying up to do. **What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** I create content including videos, narrated monologues and similar for a closed television channel devoted to a 55+ community. It is actually very easy to develop a fully functional Customer Support Agent or a Sales agent with its own knowledge base. I was also deploying a custom tools to the agent via n8n webhook and while it took me some time to realize how to do it, it was working with no problem. I can imagine all the different tools I can connect to it via the n8n so Amazing. I can highlight the quality of even small regional languages as for example Slovak. It is definitely not yet a "Clone of a human voice" it makes some mistakes, sometimes say not understandable thing. But comparing to for example Vapi - this is like 5x more advanced and I hope and believe in next 2-4 months we will get some updates onto these smaller languages (its still a massive market to sell this feature to). I also love the customer support bot on the website. Before I started with Eleven, I could test it myself and it sold me the tool instantly. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** I would say only the advancement of the local Slovak language. Like 95% of the time it speaks good, have human-like flow and understand incredibly. But sometimes it pushes some weird word which can not be understood. I also like the Discord ai-chat. We are going to use this as a main product for our company so we intend to use this every day hundreds of times. The documentation articles are ok but I think they might get outdated quickly because I see new stuff being pushed to production fairly often. The zendesk article platform has no useful content. I had tickets that were several days old, my customer is not happy about this but I am still convicing to keep using 11labs because it was easy to integrate. I love the fact that we can change the speed of the voice, the tone, the gender… We have a lot of options to explore and it feels nice to not be limited to a few options. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** Honestly, the bad side is that it’s too pricey. I am working on a youtube channel and doing text to speech for videos consume a lot of credits. I can only make 5 videos every month which is low for the price i pay. **What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating text to speech videos because I am handicapped and can’t speak for my Youtube videos. ### 49. Even quick clones sound natural, which I didn’t really expect. I’ve played around with local AI models and other TTS tools, and even the “big” ones always had that slight robotic edge. With ElevenLabs I cloned my own voice using the 1–2 minute thing, and it honestly sounds exactly like me , even in another language. That human vibe in the output is wild. (I don't know if there is a technical term for it) I really think ElevenLabs is ahead of every other tool right now. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** Mainly the glitches. I’ve had my account for like 1–2 years on my personal Gmail, and one day my free credits just disappeared instantly when I tried to use them, as if I had multiple accounts (which I don’t, that account was literally on my own personal gmail). I explained the situation but couldn’t get it fixed, so I had to buy a whole month’s sub just to generate 20 seconds of audio. Another time during a Shipathon (The revenuecat thing) we got a free 3-month code, but it just wouldn’t redeem on my account. Support tried helping for weeks and in the end told me to make a new account with a different Gmail… and the code worked there right away (Which i had to use a gmail i only use for business related stuff..). So yeah, the tech itself is amazing, but the account bugs can be really frustrating. **What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was learning new languages and noticed there weren’t enough free resources on YouTube (specially from Tr to Ger), so I started a language-learning channel myself. The entire content is made with ElevenLabs I clone my voice and use it to create natural-sounding lessons in other languages (and then also used the library voices for conversations). It’s not only helping me learn faster, but it’s also helping others who watch my channel get free materials that didn’t exist before. Without ElevenLabs, I wouldn’t have been able to make something like this on my own. ### 50.
