The newer models like Eleven v3 sound so expressive and human that it genuinely catches me off guard sometimes, there's real emotion in the delivery, not just words being read out loud. That matters a lot for my use case because I run an automated spiritual YouTube channel, and the narration needs to feel calm, soulful, and authentic. Robotic TTS would kill the whole vibe instantly.

The voice cloning is honestly wild too. I fed it a 2-minute sample and got back a usable clone of the voice, I didn't expect it to be that fast or that accurate. I use a voice called Viraj for my Hindi content and the output is consistently great.

On the dev side, the API slots right into my Python automation pipeline without any friction. I generate scripts with DeepSeek, pass them to ElevenLabs, and pipe the audio straight into FFmpeg. Fully hands-off. The generation speed is fast enough that it doesn't bottleneck the rest of my workflow.

Also, it helps in capturing proper transcription in case of background noise. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** Nothing much about disliking Eleven Labs, all is good. The only thing I would say is that if there would be a way to fine-tune these models. **What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is solving the problem of transcribing speech and taking into account various accents. It's one of my favorite voice providers and it covers small country languages like Lithuanian, something most publicly available providers don't offer or only provide low-quality robotic voices. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** There are a couple of concerns I have with ElevenLabs. The STT part is still quite fresh. The newest models, like v3, are quite expensive and using it commercially is quite limited. V3 is the only model capable of working with the Lithuanian language, and it doesn't perform well in real-time voice applications like conversational agents. ElevenLabs is still not available at main cloud providers if you want to use it in close proximity and with a virtual private cloud setup. It was not trivial to start using it; generating an API key was not a direct funnel, and I struggled a bit to find out how to generate it on the webpage.
