## Adobe Audition Reviews
 ### 1. Comprehensive, Intuitive Audio Editing with Seamless Creative Cloud Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kylee B. | Director of Marketing & Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

It is comprehensive and allows me to edit podcast and music files (both fo audio only and for video) with full control over my clips. The interface - while it has tons of tools and can at first look overwhelming - is intuitive and easy to learn, and visually makes it easy to edit clips. It also communicates will with the other Adobe Create Cloud apps that I use like Premiere Pro.

I can fix audio issues on my clips with ease, accuracy, and no one will know that the clip is even edited! Performance is second-to-none as far as I'm concerned. There is nothing left "wanting" in terms of what's on the market to mix and edit audio.

I use this mainly to edit podcasts, as well as to fix sound on video recordings of our school's concerts. I have occasionally used it to fix or enhance audio on other videos (more dialogue based as necessary) when Premiere Pro doesn't have enough audio capabilities.

It's ability to use Auto-ducking and studio sound provide solid AI capabilities and create great sound with minimal work on my end.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I do think it could do a little better on the AI side, and I wish there was a built-in transcripting feature. That would add great value to this product. As it is, I use Descript to transcribe and text-edit my audio. If Audition had transcripting and the ability to edit audio by editing the transcript, that would be more helpful for me.

Audition can sometimes feel like a little "too much" for my uses, as I'm not creating albums or mixing complicated music very often, so sometimes I think I'm not getting the value out of it that many others who do music mixing regularly would get.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making the audio on our videos and our podcasts sound professional and clear.

 ### 2. Powerful Noise Reduction and Multitrack Editing for Pro-Sounding Audio

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aadey . | Video Editor, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The best thing I like is that I can use a variety of tools in the software, like noise reduction and multitrack audio editing. These features help me create professional-sounding audio and voiceovers for my videos, which I later import into Premiere Pro.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

One issue I had before was that it used to crash, but these days it doesn’t crash very often. Also, at the beginning I didn’t have much knowledge about this software, so I had to watch tutorials and work on a few practice projects to get comfortable with it. Because of that, it was a little hard for me to learn at first.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition helps me create professional voiceovers for my videos. I can edit my raw audio files, clean them up, trim them, adjust the levels, and remove unwanted background noise. When I’m done, I import the finished audio into my Premiere Pro project and continue editing my video with the voiceover I polished in Adobe Audition.

 ### 3. Powerful, Pro Level Audio Editing with Adobe Audition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I have been using Adobe Audition for the past 4 years, and it has been a great experience. When I first started using it, the interface felt a little different and slightly complex compared to other audio editing tools. However, once I became familiar with the layout, everything started to feel smooth and well-organized. What I like best about Adobe Audition is its powerful feature set. It offers excellent tools for sound editing, voice enhancement, and professional-level mixing. The noise reduction and audio cleanup features are especially impressive removing background noise, hiss, or unwanted sounds is very easy and effective. The multitrack editing option also makes it simple to manage multiple audio layers for podcasts, voiceovers, and music projects. Adobe Audition provides high-quality results and gives full control over audio editing, which makes it one of the best tools for creators and professionals.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

beginners. When I first started using it, I found it a bit confusing because there are so many tools, panels, and advanced options available. It takes time to fully understand where everything is and how to use it efficiently. Another downside is that it can be heavy on system resources. On lower-end systems, it may lag or take time to process effects, especially when working on large multitrack projects. Also, since it’s part of Adobe Creative Cloud, the subscription cost can feel expensive for freelancers or small creators. Once you get used to it, it becomes easier to manage, but the learning curve and pricing could definitely be improved.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using Adobe Audition for the past four years, and it has solved many important audio related problems for me, especially in my freelance projects. Before using Adobe Audition, I often struggled with extending audio tracks, cleaning background noise, and properly mixing sound for videos. Many online tools and basic editing software did not provide the level of control or quality that I needed. One specific problem Adobe Audition solved for me was extending nature sounds smoothly. I once needed to increase a natural ambient sound from 30 minutes to 1 hour. On most online platforms, extending audio is not easy. You usually have to manually copy and paste sections, and sometimes the transitions are noticeable or the quality drops. However, in Adobe Audition, I was able to use the looping and multitrack features to extend the sound seamlessly. The audio remained smooth, natural, and continuous without obvious cuts or repetition issues. This saved me a lot of time and helped me deliver better results. Another major benefit for me has been audio cleanup and enhancement. In freelance video editing projects, audio quality is extremely important. Clients expect clear voice, balanced background music, and no distracting noise. AdobAudition’s noise reduction, equalization, compression, and mixing tools allow me to professionally clean voice recordings and improve overall sound quality. Instead of struggling with limited features in online editors, I can fine tune every detail of the audio. It has also helped me manage multitrack projects more efficiently. When working on videos, I often need to handle voiceovers, background music, sound effects, and ambient sounds together. The multitrack editor makes it easy to organize and adjust each layer properly. This improves my workflow and makes complex projects much more manageable. In the beginning, the workspace felt slightly overwhelming because there are many tools and panels. However, after spending some time learning the interface, I realized that it is actually well-designed and powerful. Once you understand the layout, the workflow becomes smooth and efficient.
AdobeAudition has helped me save time, improve audio quality, and deliver professional results to my freelance clients. It gives me full control over sound editing, which is something I did not find in simpler tools. Because of its reliability, advanced features, and high quality output, I would confidently rate it 10 out of 10. Even today, whenever I need professional audio editing, I still choose Adobe Audition.

 ### 4. Multitrack Editing and Noise Reduction That Make Audio Cleanup Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The best thing i like in adobe audition is that is has multitrack editing feature like i can easily mix multiple audio tracks of my voiceovers and background musics and also the noise reduction feature which removes the unwanted noise from the audio that helps me a lot.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

One thing I don’t like is that, in the beginning, I had no idea how to use it, so I had to watch a couple of tutorials to get comfortable. Also, on my previous laptop it used to lag because of my laptop’s specs, but now it’s good.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me edit and clean up my voiceover audio easily, and I can mix it without any hassle. I’m also able to adjust levels and pitch, which helps me create a more professional-sounding audio track that I later use for my video.

 ### 5. Simple to Use, High-Standard Audio Mastering for Audiobooks and Documentaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kevin k. | ceo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Audition is an extraordinary program. It’s simple to use, and it lets me create great soundtracks for my audiobooks. I also produce professional documentaries using some superb cameras, including the Sony A1. Audition imports a wide variety of audio formats and is capable of mastering audio to a high standard.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

i do wish it was a full blown DAW, but it is sufficient for my work with professional audio recording.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I acquired audition, background and wind noise was an issue. Rather than sending my files out, which was time consuming and expensive, I was able to get a perfect file in an easy to use, but professional program.

 ### 6. 25 Years Later, Adobe Audition Remains My Essential Go-To Audio Editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent H. | Audio / Video Engineer, E-Learning, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I’ve been a faithful user of Adobe Audition for over 25 years. I’ve used it to produce radio commercials, record and edit podcast episodes, and enhance audio for video projects.

Audition gives me a level of control over my work that I haven’t found in other audio editors. In the Multitrack View, I can freely move and arrange audio clips to stack voice-overs, music beds, and sound effects exactly the way I want.

I also like that I can apply effects to audio in both the Waveform Editor and the Multitrack View. Adding effects is straightforward: I highlight the audio, choose the effect I want, and hit apply. It’s also helpful that I can preview what the effect will sound like first, especially if I’m considering a different direction.

And when I’m working with other Adobe programs like Premiere Pro or After Effects, the Dynamic Link feature makes it easy to edit and update changes to my Audition files.

I use Audition nearly every day for work projects, whether I’m making small audio tweaks or recording voice-overs.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Unlike After Effects, Adobe Audition doesn’t let you organize your files into separate folders. It would be extremely helpful to have the option to create folders within a project—for example, dedicated folders for voice-overs, sound effects, sequences, and any other elements you’re working with—so everything stays organized while you build a project.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition gives me a level of control over my projects that has helped me develop a workflow where I can work faster and more efficiently. I’m able to create and save a multitrack sequence—almost like a pre-made template—for projects that I regularly edit and update on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The effects tools they offer also let me create more creative content, and the precision of the Multitrack Editor helps me refine my edits exactly the way I want.

 ### 7. Powerful Audio Editing, Steep Learning Curve, PRICEY!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curran M. | Integrated Marketing Product Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I like that everything you can imagine needing from sound in either Adobe Premiere or Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition can do tenfold. When editing a podcast and needing way more sound engineering capabilities, Adobe Audition is the way to go because it has the depth of tools available. If you're already a Creative Cloud user, you might as well be using Adobe Audition.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition's interface can be a little bit more overwhelming. The learning curve is pretty steep. It's challenging to find where things are or how to do certain things compared to Adobe Premiere, where it's easier to drag and drop or right-click to find what I need.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition solves issues with room audio having too much noise and allows me to apply complex sound effects like making audio sound like it's from a radio or telephone.

 ### 11. Exceptional Waveform Editing and Noise Reduction for Pro Audio Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

The most valuable aspect is its robust and precise waveform editing environment, which is essential for detailed dubbing synchronization and cleanup. The Multi-track Session view and powerful noise reduction tools (like DeNoise and Spectral Editing) significantly streamline the post-production workflow for all our voice content.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Although the tool is very powerful, the initial learning curve for novice users can be steep. In addition, some batch processing features for managing large volumes of audio files could be more intuitive and better optimized.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audition solves the problem of ensuring broadcast-ready quality for our final dubbed content. It benefits us by allowing our audio engineers to perform precise lip-sync adjustments (timing edits) and applying standardized mastering templates quickly to the raw voice files from ElevenLabs. This guarantees high-fidelity, polished audio across all our company clips and media.

 ### 12. Pro-Level Audio Editing Without the Studio Overhead

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** BRANDON G. | Remote Online Notary Public, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition has become one of my go-to for everything from podcast mastering to sound design. What I like most is how stable and professional it feels. It’s rare to find a DAW that balances depth with clean usability. The spectral frequency display is a lifesaver for cleaning background noise/pops and the built-in noise reduction tools rival standalone plugins that cost extra. The multitrack workflow makes it easy to mix dialogue, music and effects without bogging down my system. Integration with Premiere Pro also makes post-production incredibly smooth when I’m working on video projects.

Audition feels like it was designed for people who take audio seriously but still need to move quickly. I can edit, mix and master all within one environment without bouncing between multiple apps.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The biggest downside is that it’s only available through a monthly subscription. For freelancers/occasional users who aren’t using it every single week, that can get pricey compared to one-time-purchase alternatives. The plugin management could also use some streamlining (scanning large plugin folders sometimes slows down startup). While Audition’s core tools are fantastic, the stock effects library hasn’t evolved much in recent updates and some newer users might wish for more built-in mastering presets or creative sound packs.

That said, none of these are dealbreakers. Once you’re comfortable inside the workspace, it’s hard to imagine editing audio anywhere else.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an audio producer, Adobe Audition solves the biggest problem I had when juggling multiple editing tools which is inconsistency. I needed one platform that could handle voice recording, cleanup, mixing and mastering all in the same session without having to jump between different apps. Audition gives me that complete workflow.

The spectral repair tools save me hours on noisy recordings and the batch processing feature is a huge benefit when I’m editing multiple podcast episodes or music stems. I also love how easily I can match loudness across different tracks which helps deliver a more polished final product. Overall, it’s allowed me to speed up my turnaround times while still keeping a professional, broadcast-quality sound.

I often turn to Adobe Audition for my multimedia projects because of its powerful audio editing features. With tools like multitrack editing, spectral frequency display, and noise reduction, the functions work perfect for professional audio production. The platform offers a variety of built-in effects and plugins, including reverb, compression, and equalization, which significantly enhance audio quality. Additionally, the ability to customize workspaces helps improve productivity and streamline the editing process.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The company pays for a subscription, but it can be quite expensive for individual users. There are a lot of features in this software that I don't use. I remember pressing multiple buttons to find the features I needed, and I felt that the interface was designed to be a little complicated. Very occasionally, I've experienced crashes and stability issues.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve worked on a significant amount of recorded audio, much of which contains unwanted noise. Eliminating this noise from the original recordings can be quite challenging. Fortunately, Adobe Audition enables me to effectively reduce noise and compress audio to achieve high-quality results.

**Reviewed by:** Jaden B. | Executive Music Manager and Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition is a powerful software that offers a wide range of features for audio editing, which also includes mixing, and mastering. There are many features that standout about this software. Being someone who uses this software on a daily basis for various types of audio editing, I can say that the interface is extremely easy to use and the number of features included in the software is nothing short of magnificient.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

When it comes to Audition, there's a slight inconvenience when it comes to compabilities with certain MIDI's or Audio Intefaces. It's not compatible with a couple of interfaces which i've used which ended up being really inconvenient at the time.
Another small let down is when it comes to using it for live performances. The Audio output isn't the clearest and there's always a slight delay when it comes to real time performances.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My job involves editing may different audio pieces in a short period of time and packaging each audio piece in a given time. The Multitrack mode makes it extremely easy to edit multiple audio pieces at the same time and in a short period of time.

 ### 22. Audio Journalist using Audition to make podcasts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Newspapers | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

It generlaly operates very smoothly with very few glitches, it's fairly intuitive to use, easy to import and export files and projects.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Projects do not collate files into a single location and the onus is on the user to keep files organized. Would appreciate the option to toggle between slip and shuffle modes like in ProTools, poor integration with platfroms like Descript. Customer service for adobe has, in my experience been quite bad.

Actually I don't have real complains about the sofware. I use it by 15 years without any issue.

With this software I can produce and edit radio broadcast and video soundtracks.

 ### 25. Powerful but huge learning curve

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Audition allows me to improve the audio quality for my podcast. I most often use the match loudness feature and dynamic processing. There are so many other features than this though. My use barely scratches the surface.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Unfortunately Adobe Audition is not at all intuitive to use. As a tech savvy person, there were basic functions that I couldn't figure out and required me to search up tutorials.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Often the audio from my guests has a lot of background noise. Audition allows me to clean this up so the recording sounds professional.

**Reviewed by:** Brannon C. | Senior Video Editor & Cinematographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I love the comprehensive effects list that allows me to process my seperately recorded audio. It helps me process my podcast dialog and make it sound right and proper. The noise reduction processing is also pretty good too.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

As with most Adobe software, the user interface is not something I'm a fan of. I think they could simply this more.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Often times we need to add a compressor and noise reduction to the podcasts we record, so we always drop the WAVs directly into audition and run our processes. Always pleased with the customability and how good the audio sounds after the fact. It's also nice that it plays super well with Premiere.

 ### 28. Excellent software for audio editing!

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I don't think I have personally come across any negatives with this software so far in my use. I had my personal reasons regarding expose when I switched, but otherwise, I would advice animators, podcasters, and musicians to use this software.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very helpful to me for editing audio whether it's as simple as a trim and voice or as complicated as noise reduction and MIDI sequencing

The specialty is that you can easily record and edit music and create a very high quality creation by being able to handle everything with ease. Here it is easy to remove unwanted noises, adjust sound levels and use sound effects to create very subtle and smooth output.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

Au's existing MIDI editing facilities and advanced MIDI instrument integration should be improved.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of our creations here are in Multitrack, which allows us to smoothly create high-quality tracks and songs and perform detailed edits. This ensures that recordings are clear and free of audio glitches. I currently use this software extensively and 75% of the recording in our two studios is using in Adobe Audition.

 ### 31. Feel bulky at times, not my favourite audio editor

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Lots of very good filters and tools to edit sound and clear it up. It handles multiple tracks well, and never crashes. Audition gets the job done even if it isn't alwats the simplest.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

I don't like the file handling, I don't like how it seems to create files and folders that I did not ask it to. Some basic tools like making it easy to change the playback speed are/were missing for the longest time. Simple track editing like trimming a section seems harder than it needs to be (more keystrokes and tool selecting). I don't always know what the UI is telling me.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to edit podcasts. Specifically I need to edit the clips and clean up any background noise from the audio which may be captured from multiple sources that are not clean.

I think the price is quite high in comparison to other programs, many of which are free or cheap on the internet. They might not be as sophisticated as Adobe Audition but they suffice for many uses.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can mix sophisticated audio combinations and distort or normalize, I can easily see how the audio is laid out in a linear fashion with many options to play with. I use it for small audio projects and podcasts.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hadyu R. | Podcast Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

I recently had the opportunity to primarily use Adobe Audition for audio editing, and I must say that it is a fantastic software. One thing that stood out to me was how lightweight the software is compared to other heavy DAWs. This makes it easy and doesn't bog down my computer's processing power.

Another thing that impressed me was how quickly I was able to edit audio files with minimal training. The interface is very intuitive, which means you can start editing your audio files immediately without spending a lot of time learning how to use the software.

While the stock plug-ins are good, I found that the VST3 plug-ins were quick to load and made the integration seamless. This allowed me to quickly add various effects to my audio files, resulting in a much better final product.

Overall, I highly recommend Adobe Audition for anyone looking for lightweight and easy-to-use audio editing software. It's perfect for podcasters and anyone who needs to edit audio files quickly and efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

While I enjoyed using Adobe Audition for audio editing, there is one aspect that I didn't particularly like, which is the routing options. As someone from a musical production background, I found that the software's routing options are not as intuitive as I would have liked. In particular, I found it challenging to use matrices and auxes for audio routing, which are common and valuable tools in music production.

The lack of conventional audio routing options made achieving the specific sound I was looking for more complex. While the software does offer some routing capabilities, they are not as flexible or robust as I would have liked, and it took me longer to accomplish some of the audio routing tasks than I was used to.

Overall, while I found Adobe Audition to be a good audio editing software, the routing options could use some improvements, particularly for those from a musical production background who are used to more conventional routing techniques.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Audition is a powerful audio editing software that solves several problems related to audio editing. One of the most significant benefits it provides is the ability to make audio editing quick and easy.

This saves time and allows for more efficient production workflows. **What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Editing of audio for Premiere Pro audio files. Gives much finer control than the built-in audio editor for Premiere. It also lets me work with someone else while they work on the main video, I can focus solely on the audio and getting it done, and adobe link works wonders for the same.

 ### 50. One of the best out there!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lalit A. | Internshala Student Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe Audition?**

Adobe Audition is one of the best audio editing software I have used till date. The AI Adobe uses to make auto adjustments to the audio is awesome. You can work on 15 and more different tracks at the same time easily. You can mix those tracks in just one click and much more.

**What do you dislike about Adobe Audition?**

The left and right audio tracks in Adobe Audition are not that good. Maybe it's just with me, but I just get so confused that adjustments are, by default, applied to only one side of the track, i.e., either left or right. Also, Audition is not easy to use, you have to learn it rigorously to make your audio sound better.

**What problems is Adobe Audition solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Adobe Audition to edit audio for my video editing audios. When I get some video editing projects, I need to make the audio crispier for the clients. I need to mix audio with background music to make it sound better and more soothing to the ears; that's where Audition comes to the rescue.
