I record a daily news show which is currently an audio podcast. I have been trying to take it to YouTube but I didn't just want my picture and a voice over. No matter how good they are, even and animated avatar, no matter how good, is inauthentic. With Pictory, I can produce an attractive and professional looking graphically enhance video. I load my script. I upload my voice over. It automagically synchronizes the two and then gives me a scene by scene graphic with stills and videos that illustrate based on keywords. These are about 80 percent accurate and some are great and stunning visuals. I can then click through and edit, putting in my own graphics, my own logos and quickly search their quite vast library for graphics and change the suggestions. After that? Preview and publish. It adds about 1/2 an hour each day (maximum) to my production time. Without this I would have had to take a staff member (full-time) every day for at least four to five hours to select graphics, upload the sound, synch to the pictures, and take it back to me for approval and changes. If I had the time and the money, I guess we could do this but why? I can do everything myself, and save the staff time and turnaround time. Plus (and I've only been using them for a month) but so far, they have incredible support on their forums and yes, if you can't solve it there, a real person will help you. Amazing. **What do you dislike about Pictory AI?** I'm hoping you will continue to enhance your library of graphics and its labeling. I don't know enough about dealing with video and editing on this platform yet, but if it could give me a simple way to edit video clips, I'd be ecstatic. But please, one thing. Of all the 4 tools in the SaaS, this one is the most useful. This brings me to the transcription limits, which are pretty generous compared to offers from other software in this field. This feature is the primary time-saver when editing dialogue-heavy clips. Simply look at the transcripts at a glance and I know what to remove. This saves me from scrolling through the timeline to find what I need to edit out. The transcripts are a great bonus for me as we sometimes need to have subtitles. Although, we mainly need a translated subtitle, and there are no reliable auto-translators right now. Still helpful in the occasions where we need to get transcripts. (Which we did on a recent project: export transcript and used a TTS program to read the transcript). **What do you dislike about Pictory AI?** The other features need a lot more work. AI-to-video (from article url or text) often select static images from its stock library OR chooses unrelated image/footage. I had to replace almost every single asset to make the output usable. This completely defeats the purpose of an AI-generated video. **Recommendations to others considering Pictory AI:** There are similar online SaaS offerings out there like Wave.video and InVideo that do similar things to Pictory. In my opinion, Pictory does some things better, but not everything. I think the text/title templates are better in Pictory with auto-highlighted keywords and better-looking desgins (Wave's titles are way too big). It is also the only one with transcript-based editing, and audio file syncing. Audio sync is important because the AI text-to-speech in these apps are terrible. I import AI voices from outside sources so the syncing is a great feature. The competitors do a lot more, and I think they are better for more general editing. They are more robust and allow more controls in the editing timeline; they are more similar to traditional editing software. But Pictory seems to be trying to bring a different workflow that is faster in exchange of some of the controls. **What problems is Pictory AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** I wanted to use this to speed up my video workflow when it comes to dialogue-heavy video editing and also wanted to get some quick short video clips from the AI tools. ### 50.
