Tone of voice was a little harder to get right, but for the most part I have been able to figure it out adequately. I like that you can use multiple voices in a single project, so, for example, you can have each character in a book have a different voice. But wow that's a lot of work, and I haven't decided if it's worth it. I may come back to the books in the future and modify them. Since Elevenlabs saves the books in an easy to find dashboard, that will be eminently possible. It lets you organize your book into chapters, and the export function is easy to use. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** It was a lot of work to sort through the voices and decide which one was best for my project. I don't know how it could be improved. Since my books are science fiction, with aliens, I have some unusual names, I had to figure out tricks to get the voices to pronounce each name correctly, and occasionally (not often) it would pronounce the name right in one paragraph, then give a different pronunciation in another paragraph. Since files are capped at 15 minutes, managing multiple chunks of the same podcast episode can make the otherwise simple project flow feel a bit more fragmented. Still, compared to many creative tools I have tried, ElevenLabs sets a high bar for straightforward, intuitive navigation. It feels like a platform built to get out of your way and let you focus on results. **What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?** Transcreation/Translation I tried ElevenLabs for podcast dubbing, and while the idea is brilliant, the execution left me frustrated. The initial transcreation sounded either Indian or German accented, and the voice match was only okay, not quite natural enough. Another major limitation: I’d love to use this tool to transcribe and dub full podcast episodes, but it only allows files up to 15 minutes. That means a 45-minute episode needs to be chopped into three separate pieces, which really breaks the flow. That said, if ElevenLabs actually nailed this with smooth, natural-sounding dubbing and support for full-length podcasts, it would be absolutely mind-blowing.
