## Logic Pro X Reviews
  ### 1. Seamless DAW with Robust Plugins and Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vulcan G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I use Logic Pro X to record electric guitar and bass for various music projects. It's quite a seamless DAW and feels more efficient compared to my previous experience with Reaper, which was prone to crashes. I can add more layers of tracks without experiencing any lagging. I find it extremely easy to use and appreciate the plethora of built-in plugins for guitar and bass. I also enjoy experimenting with the amp and cab sims provided, which adds to the flexibility alongside external plugins I use regularly.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I wish stacking plugins was a bit easier. Sometimes when I stack plugins like reverb and delay with amp sims, one or two of the plugins aren't recognized. This issue usually gets troubleshooted by removing and adding the plugin again or by restarting the app.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic Pro X is a seamless DAW, more efficient than Reaper, letting me add more tracks without lag. It's easy to use and offers a plethora of amp and cab sims for trying different sounds.

  ### 2. Great all-in-one DAW that’s easy to stick with long term

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I’ve been using Logic for a while now, and it’s a really solid all-in-one DAW. It comes with pretty much everything you need right out of the box—from instruments and plug-ins to mixing and mastering tools—so you don’t immediately feel like you have to go out and buy a bunch of extras.

Once you get used to it, the workflow is straightforward and makes a lot of sense, and it’s especially strong for writing and arranging. I also appreciate how well it runs on Mac: it feels stable and performs well, even when I’m working on bigger projects.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Some parts of it aren’t very intuitive, especially when you’re just starting out. There are quite a few features and menus that feel hidden at first, and it takes time to learn where everything is.

It also feels pretty tied to the Apple ecosystem, so you don’t have much flexibility if you ever want to move to a different setup. And compared to some other DAWs, certain workflows—like editing or routing—can feel a bit slower until you get used to how it’s laid out.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly, it gives me one place to write, record, and produce music without needing to jump between multiple tools. I can take an idea and turn it into a finished track, all within the same project.

It also makes it easier to experiment quickly with different sounds and arrangements, which really helps my creativity. Overall, it streamlines the entire music-making process and keeps everything in one workflow.

  ### 3. Love It

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiearra D. S. | Singer-Songwriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I love Logic, I love how its really next level up from Garageband. I first started using it in Audio Engineering school at SAE in 2016. Logic Pro was my go too when I was terrified of using Pro Tools at first when learning as an artist as to record myself. Now because of BootCamp messing with my computer in 2022 it's my go to for everything audio for both making beats, producing and recording vocals. I absolutely love Drummer track its Apple Loops. It was so crazy learning Usher's Love In This Club was just 2 Apple Loops that Polo Da Don put together and it became a loop. Logic is my audio best friend. For beatmaking out of the major ones Pro tools, FL and Ableton, all my money on Logic.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I do not really like mixing vocals take a lot more time than it would in Pro Tools, like their reverb plugins aren't necessarily the best. I wholeheartedly believe Logic is better for making beats and doing the overlay of producing something. But that's just me because I have seen people master songs in Logic with vocals in less than 30 minutes. But I feel the Reverb could be better and the mixing process with vocals shouldn't be so tedious. But making beats? Oh, Logic can do no wrong in my humble opinion. Out of all the DAWs with that I have to go with Logic. But I humbly feel its not the best for mixing vocals. I actually had to get plugins to mix my vocals in it better. But I'm definitely not going to smear Logic Pro though, but I will be honest that it need better plugins.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me be able to easily find my love for beat making. Bringing songs to life that are in my head even without live instruments and using to create songs. As I said in 2016 when I first started using it in college me and Logic was inseparable. It still is more than ever because when after using Bootcamp on my Mac and it messed up my computer settings to bounce in Pro Tools. Logic was the DAW that helped me pull through and still get the job done. Logic also helped me record the audio for my audio for my Podcast.

  ### 4. My favourite software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis A. | Digital learning Assistant , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

The user friendly interface and shit’s smooth as silk dipped in sound intuitive, powerful, packed with instruments and effects that’d make Mozart moan. Pro tools without the Pro Tools price tag.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

There’s nothing I dislike. It’s the full symphonic feast no crumbs, no complaints.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes pro-level music without needing a bloody studio. Solves the chaos of scattered tools record, mix, master, all in one lair. Fast workflow, fat sound, full control.

  ### 5. Logic Pro X is a Better Garage Band

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beau K. | Medicare Sales Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X has amazing capabilities that are simple to use. Using only stock sounds, I was able to create many beautiful songs. I have created anything from ballads and love songs to techno and dubstep songs. The user friendly interface makes editing extremely fun. connecting our piano to the software was also easy with a small and affordable preamp. The sound quality we get from the software is professional grade. Although this is not quite pro tools, you can still have a professional sound that can rival anyone.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

The things that I dislike most about Logic Pro X is that the software can sometimes get overwhelmed with the amount of voice and instrument channels that you implement. Even with a Mac Book Pro with 16 GM of RAM, more than 8 different channels bogged down Logic Pro X and it was very laggy. The ultimate sound that came out of the work was outstanding, but the process itself was frustrating. I would recommend no more than 6 channels when creating music which can limit some of the scope you may have been envisioning.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When using Logic Pro X to create sounds and commercial audio for ad campaigns, it has been a huge costs saving driver due to it's one-time fee and ease of use. After teaching my assistant a few tricks and tips about Logic Pro X, they were competent enough to follow simple tasks and directions which saved me time to do more A/B testing so tht our audio would actually be viewed. We used Logic Pro X for mixing simple voices in a dialogue, podcasts, and editing sounds and foley for commercials.

  ### 6. Favorite DAW by far

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

For how in-depth of a DAW Logic is, it's fairly simple to learn and have been able to teach others how to use it easily. As an instrumentalist who also produces electronic music, it really has a great blend of mixing and production tools that support both live recording and sampling.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I wish Logic was as much of an industry standard as Pro Tools, but I see Logic gain popularity year over year.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving for a sometimes-difficult process of recording, mixing, and mastering. Logic helps simplify this workflow!

  ### 7. GarageBand on Steroids

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan I. | IT Support Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

If you ever used GarageBand and thought to yourself, "It just needs some more... and it will be the best digital audioworkstation ever!", Logic X Pro delivers with excellency. It is overwhelming loaded with unique and distinct features. I have been using for the past 5 years and I still have a lot to find out on its inner workings and powerful services...

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I find the community section not only slightly lacking in the forums... but on YouTube as well. I find a lot of people are drawn to the "popular" DAW and I'd highly advocate they give Logic X Pro a chance. Once you tried Logic, there is no going back.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic X Pro suits the creator/individual with any kind of audio editing they want to do. It is not tailored to one style of Audio editing, it fits all sizes and genres.

  ### 8. Logic Pro Is an excellent DAW - and one of the most affordable

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Skyler B. | Founder/ B2B/Marketing Copywriter & Content Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

If you're coming from using the free GarageBand app on Mac then Logic Pro X will already feel familiar, and offers a seamless transition. There is a huge sound library covering many different musical genres from electronic to rock to orchestral. The instruments and loops are also pro quality. While the UI may not be the best, many of the effects such as the EQ, compression and reverb are just as good as third-party plugins. Logic Pro now also has a long overdue iPad app, allowing you to create music anywhere on the go. The best thing of all is that you only have to pay for Logic one, and then receive lifetime updates from Apple.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I don't like the UI in general. It makes me feel like I am coding an application, rather than being creating and producing music. There is a steep learning curve.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic streamlines the audio editing process by offering a comprehensive toolset all in one place. It also let me eliminate the need for many third-party plugins.
Investing in Logic Pro X eliminates the need for several third-party plugins or instruments. The built-in library and tools are of high quality and can handle most production needs. I often use other devices in the Apple ecosystem, like the iPad or MacBook. The seamless integration means I can start a project on one device and continue it on another.

Before investing in Logic, I often found myself diving into way too many third-party plugins and instruments to achieve a particular sound or effect. However, with Logic's built-in library and tools, which are of unparalleled quality, I've been able to substantially reduce my reliance on external plugins. This not only saves money but also ensures a more stable production environment by avoiding potential compatibility issues.

  ### 9. I use Logic Pro X to compose music and I’m very proficient at using the software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricky J B. | Music Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I like that is easier to use than some other DAW music software.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I haven't really experienced many downsides, if any.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic Pro X is easy to use once you learn the software.

  ### 10. A well crafted music creation tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan L. | Integrated Designer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X has an easy to learn interface. The tools needed are either close by or just a shortcut away which makes for a faster workflow. The learning curve is both a great and not so great. As soon as you've learnt to master the program, you'll find out that there are features you've not yet encountered that would help you even further. When doing a complicated setup, the save file can be used as a template for future projects of the same kind. Really well crafted.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

It really takes intense learning to understand how to use some of the features. The software requires you to watch external tutorials and video lessons to do some functions. Some simple tasks are tedious and require repitition to get the hang of. Not ideal for a very casual user.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a musician, I create loop tracks, record drums or synth for friends or colleagues, and I occasionally use Logic Pro X to do sound design. The built in video player/editor helps line up video and add effects and music to give life to the videos I create.

  ### 11. Everything you need to produce ANY type of music!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc B. | Professional Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Por X is a very vast platform for any music production you might need (or imagine. I know award winning singer/songwriters, composers, and producers who use this software and achieve great success. I use for a variety of audio (recording/producing) needs from composing to songwriting to creating specialized audio tracks for video production.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

This is a backwards DISLIKE... but what I DO dislike is how one might NEVER master all the features available. It's so deep that you often feel like you never get past scratching the surface of it's incredible features for music production, recording, and more.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EVERY imaginable audio need from project support for videos to master recording projects for commercial release.

  ### 12. Something new with every update. The king Logic Pro X

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suraj M. | Music Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

It's been more than 3 years I'm using it. And trust me ,I have been using other DAW too but logic is love. I love the interface, i love the toolbaar , I love everything there. The logic is best DAW in the world.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Only dislike would be that it get closed suddenly sometime and reopen with the last saved project. Else everything is good.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

Go for it. It is most inexpensive. The only con I felt that it sports on Apple system other than that It is far better than many daws

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My productivity is getting much better with this. I CAN open multiple projects. And the project alternative option is the best. I can save the two different version of the same projects in 1 file.

  ### 13. Logic Pro continues to be the best alternative to Pro Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Founder/CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro is one of the most intuitive DAWs out there. Over time due to it's ease of use as well as low entry price point, use of Logic Pro has grown substantially. And it's always been full featured with a whole host of excellent sounding plug-ins, as well as easily usable with a plethora of third-party plug-ins.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

The biggest downside is that it still has not caught up to Pro Tools as the "industry standard." And so when removing Pro Tools from the picture it still has to split its market share and potential user base with many of the other "not Pro Tools" DAWs out there. This means that you're not always sure to be able to share Logic Pro sessions with any other studio, as there is no guarantee that another studio is using Logic (whereas there is almost always a guarantee that a commercial studio would have Pro Tools available).

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic Pro is perfect for recording, editing, mixing and mastering. It's great as a songwriting tool as well, along with scoring, audio post-production for film & TV. It's a full featured DAW that can handle any audio task.

  ### 14. Logic Pro X is one of the best DAWs out there, especially for Apple/Mac Users

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X is the natural progression in DAW if you have built your initial experience with DAWs using Garageband. This was the case for me – Growing up, I used Garageband, and Logic Pro X is a seamless transition with ease of use. It has much more features than Garageband as well, and is a professional level DAW, comparable to Pro Tools.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

There may be some limitations with plug-in compatibility sometimes due to the fact that Logic Pro X is specific to MacOS and there might be some plug ins or other software tools out there that are not always easily compatible with MacOS. Although this is very rare now-a-days.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic Pro X provides its users with a professional grade DAW that can be used to mix, master, sequence, and create all types of audio.

  ### 15. Amazing value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin C. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I paid £139.99 back in 2014 and could have been selling music professionally without paying a penny more ever since. I realise I have bought many macs since, but didn't do so just because of Logic...

Alchemy is an amazing synth.

Drummer is pretty impressive if you don't want to play your own drums.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

It's Live Loops aren't really live loops, not in the same way as Ableton.

It's also not as easy to learn to use as Ableton, which has built in tutorials, etc.

Musical typing needs to be launched and sit on top - there should be an option for permenant musical typing.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Music Creation.

Odd that we can't enter Music Creation in the purposes box. "Audio Editing" is the only option, and to tell the truth I do more Audio Editing in Final Cut than Logic.

  ### 16. Easy to use and fantastic value DAW for the Mac

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I find Logic Pro X very easy to use, it has a long history and therefore includes an incredible depth of features, however it surfaces those features in a clear, concise, and sensible easy to use user interface. Getting things done in Logic Pro X takes less time than other competing DAWs, and the sooner you can hit record the better to capture the fleeting inspiration and art of the moment.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

It makes perfect business sense that when Apple acquired Logic they would sunset all other platforms besides Apple, however it is disappointing to remember that a decade ago you could run Logic on both PCs and Macs, and be able to move projects seamlessly between the two platforms.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Logic Pro X to record, mix, and edit audio tracks, and to compose music. I find it to be excellent for these purposes. Another thing to note, I purchased Logic Pro X many many years ago when Apple first released it, and Apple have and continue to provide massive featureful new versions relatively regularly at no additional cost. This makes Logic Pro X incredible value for money and I recommend it as the first choice for anyone on the Mac platform in the Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software category.

  ### 17. Essential for producing, not for live performance

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I think it is already well known among professional producers how robust, powerful, and complete LogicPRO is if you are a producer. At first, the learning curve can be slow because accessing or loading effects, operators, mixes, and plugins is different from other programs. It might not be so easy to implement at first... But once you understand the dynamics, you find that it might be the best program on the market for audio design, music production, equalizing, and mastering, and you end up using it frequently.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

If you are an artist, it might be more intuitive, versatile, and faster to work with Ableton Live. The program itself is so comprehensive that it demands a lot from the system, and it can practically only be used on Mac. This makes it so that I don't use it as frequently.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

equalization, mastering, music production, sound design

  ### 18. My go-to DAW for music production.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Callum B. | Marketing Executive, Hospitality, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X is very easy to control and navigate, meanwhile, provides vast functionality as a digital audio workstation (DAW) for recording and editing audio. I find the interface to be very user-friendly, making it easy to change the likes of tempo and time signature.

In addition to this, I also like that the channel strip upon which you're working can be integrated into the main window as a side panel; this makes working between the main window and mixing window a breeze. This is especially handy when demonstrating Logic Pro X for music production in a teaching environment.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X is only available for use on eligible Apple products, and therefore, isn't available on other operating systems. During my time using Logic Pro X, I've faced a couple of instances where my sessions have crashed. This has been due to a large number of tracks and third party plug-ins assigned in the session. Although thankfully, in many instances, Logic Pro X will keep an auto-save of the session to be re-opened, should the session encounter an error.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Logic Pro X to be an all-round great software for music production, audio editing and recording. For a one-time payment, the benefits of using Logic Pro X are endless, especially as an industry standard DAW that can be used by beginners and professionals alike. For those looking to use only stock plug-ins, Logic Pro X is equipped with a great variety of choices that can be shaped to your desired sound. Thus, making Logic Pro X a great solution for those looking to dive deeper into audio and music production. For this reason, Logic Pro X has proved to be a great benefit to me, as my assistant teaching role and prior univeristy courses have seen me producing music, and editing audio - for which, I have found Logic Pro X to be my preferred DAW.

  ### 19. Logic Pro X is Changed My Life

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan C. | Freelance Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

It's incredibly simple and the layout just feels like home to me. Love the colors and design

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I wish they would improve their auto-tune software. It gets a little glitchy.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed me to learn to mix music and get professional mixes without having to hire a freelancer.

  ### 20. Logic Pro X is Ok....

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pat S. | Senior Technology Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I like how it integrates with GarageBand sessions created on an iPhone or iPad and you can easily open those projects in Logic Pro X.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I don't like the workflow using Logic comapred to other DAW's. Some feature are not easily accessible.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, it solves the issue when I have clients that either send me projects done in Logic Pro X or GarageBand. It makes it easier for me to open those projects and export the files so I can use in my other DAW's that have a better workflow for myself.

  ### 21. Logic user since 2008!

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I like the ease of use within the Apple ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X is a bit stuck between professional DAW and newer ease of use features. In other words, it's a bit old school and boring.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic Pro X allows for easy and detailed editing of all audio

  ### 22. Streamlined Workflows, But Lacking Some Key Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shubham b. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Intuitive interface, versatile plugins, seamless MIDI editing. Logic streamlines my entire production workflow.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Lack of comping features can be frustrating. Needs better stock sampler and more creative MIDI editing tools.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic makes it easy to quickly sketch out ideas with its intuitive MIDI editing and vast virtual instrument library. The seamless integration between audio and MIDI tracks helps my creativity flow. I can compose, record, edit, and mix entire songs within Logic. The streamlined interface saves me time and mental energy compared to bouncing between programs. While Logic lacks certain advanced features like comping, it more than delivers on fast, flexible songwriting and production.

  ### 23. Logic Pro X, the go-to software to make hits on iOs

It is very accesible and intuitive. You can record a whole album without having previously used a DAW.

  ### 24. Top notch

The interface and ease of use. The way the tracks are displayed along with the channel options makes it super fast to not only create but also edit and process what you have created.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Maybe the stock instruments and plugins are too basic to create unique vibes. But they are good enough to lay down a foundation for your idea.

Being programmed for MacOS makes it especially smooth and it has a very comfortable environment. Besides, it has any functionality of Pro Tools (or better) but without going through Avid's subscription system.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Some aspects of routing could be more intuitive, like in other DAWs such as Reaper.

  ### 30. Top of the line service!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip T. | Area Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro has a ton of sounds, music, and options for any user to experience. I love that you can customize just about anything you want with a button click. You can play music if you know how and import it in, or use their instrumental keyboard to get the same sounds! One of the other things that I love about this platform is the ability to change the layout of your screen to best suit your viewing needs.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

It is so powerful that I'd say it's almost too powerful. There are so many features that it can feel as though you aren't using it entirely. I wish there were more tutorials and specific functions to accomplish a task. Another thing that is challenging is learning how to mix your own music if you have never practiced or done anything like that before. It takes a few classes to really understand what you should be doing.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

If you have any desires to create and make music for your own company or organization, this is the tool for you. With so many options readily available, you can quickly create something within minutes for any project. I recommend this to any new or experienced person as it will increase the quality of work, and you will no longer need to outsource your work and can accomplish the same thing in-house.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily use this for pleasure, but it has been helpful to create personalized marketing videos with music and instrumentals in the background specific to the video. It has helped make a smooth transition between content and b-roll.

  ### 31. So easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary S. | Account Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

It's so easy to use, beginners or experienced producers can all use this DAW. It has a great selection of preloaded virtual insrtuments and plugins, you can create great music from the go

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Not too much to be honest, there could be some easier tutorials perhaps to help learn the ropes, but really, I like thre DAW and don't have really any issues with it.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Pro Tools which I do like, but it's not too easy to use, where as Logic, I really feel as a beginner I can jump right in and put some good music together without needing to know the DAW inside out

  ### 32. Great DAW for Mac Lovers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arman S. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro is a great top-shelf Digital Audio Workstation that is perfect for those who have experience with the MAC OS or have a background using Garage Band. It has the ease of MAC applications and the flexibility to be as robust as DAW's like Pro Tools and FL Studio.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

There are certain features that other DAW's have built-in like visualizers and a larger bank of sounds and plugins. For the longest, a downside has been the lack of a trial to see if the workflow is a good fit, but they have now offered a trial version.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

Definitely check out the trial. This allows you to really get a feel for the application. The trick with Digital Audio Workstations is that there isn't a best one there is a best one for you. So seeing if LPX is a fit for your workflow is important before you make the $300 purchase.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to make quality music on the fly. I really enjoy the ability to create soundtracks for the videos I produce. By importing the video I can easily ensure the music will be well-timed with the video.

  ### 33. Convinced & Converted — Logic Pro X is the Best DAW

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** R F. | Juror, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Out of the box, It is the perfect blend between a creative tool for ground-up production and an absolute powerhouse for editing, mixing, and Mastering. The latest release now supports Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Honestly, there are very few things I dislike about it. If I could request some improvements, it would be around selecting plugins when working on a project or session. Easy to get used to, but uncollapsing trees upon trees of plugins can be a little gesture heavy. The UI for everything else that comes stock is so well done that I feel like it wouldn't be out of scope for the LPX team to develop something more powerful.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

Yes, Protools is commonly mentioned as THE industry standard. This statement is more and more becoming a thing of the past. Many of the projects I am working with (other studios, engineers, producers, film, and other audio professionals) predominantly use Logic Pro.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The flexibility of the platform overall allows us to find and address problem areas quickly. Template flexibility allows for rapid session recall and maximum productivity. Compatibility with Garageband projects is a huge time saver when working with artist demos, as this is a commonly used tool for their process.

  ### 34. Powerful and intuitive for advanced sound design and music editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma M. | Content Marketing Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic just feels so good to use. Everything is laid out in a smooth way. I can find all the tools I use most often without struggling. The sound editing tools are extensive right out of the box. I don't need many, if any, software add-ons to complete my editing jobs with optimal results.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Since it is an advanced editing platform, some the editing actions can be complicated to execute. I wish there were more tools for compression and sound modifications. I prefer not to have a VST plugins work so similarly to the physical sound modules. I prefer more consistency across all VSTs.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Logic to increase the sound quality of existing music and video productions. We once had a sound file with many odd sound bits that made it sound unusual. I used the tools in Logic to smoothly eliminate much of the oddities and applied the sound back into our video.

  ### 35. Industry standard for good reasons

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe H. | Freelance Musical Director/Arranger/Pianist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic is the only DAW I need to work on a variety of musical projects in an array of genres. It’s useful for working with audio, MIDI, writing to picture, or recording live sessions. I love the clean minimal UI where tools and handles are hidden until you hover over things. It’s fast, versatile and pretty reliable these days.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

There are occasional bugs, but they are usually ironed out pretty quickly. Working to picture in Logic can be a bit unintuitive to start with due to how it handles tempo changes. Flex pitch can sometimes be a bit hit and miss, but I still find it incredibly useful when editing vocal lines. Also, the score editor is quite useless and hardly ever used. I need to use additional software to create and edit scores.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

Logic is a great all-round DAW that is essential for any recording musician with a Mac. Whilst Pro Tools remains industry standard for running studio sessions, Logic is ideal for those who use MIDI together with audio. It’s more of a composer/arranger’s tool.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic helps me create instrumental backing tracks with virtual instruments, record vocal demo tracks, produce mock-ups for film scores, and create click tracks for live theatre shows.

  ### 36. The Industry Standard: Powerful, Versatile and Efficient. Suitable for users of all backgrounds

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam D. | Module Demonstrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X has a wonderfully intuitive and efficient workflow that is pleasant to work with at every stage, from recording and editing through to mixing and mastering. The DAW is suitable for users of all backgrounds and experience and able to be used for a wide range of projects from music production to ADR/Foley recording.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Logic Pro X is exclusive to Mac so this can be a barrier or a deterrent for new users who may not already own a Mac. Users familiar/comfortable with Windows machines may find that its not worth it to purchase a Mac simply to be able to use Logic Pro X.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

Check out online resources and videos not just on Logic Pro X but on a range of DAWs you're considering. Consider aspects including the interface, workflow and compatibility. Different DAWs favour different types of projects or different approaches. See the software in action through showcases, tutorials or reviews, think about which would best fit what you plan on doing now and in the future. Read articles about the DAWs available, think about whether your current software and hardware will work well with it, but also consider where you'd like to go in the future - is your career likely to require Logic Pro X and so being an experienced user a significant benefit, or does the industry you're in or want to be tend to use an alternative DAW?

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logic Pro X streamlines parts of the production process without compromising on functionality and versatility. A very flexible DAW suitable for a broad range of applications. Logic Pro X has several integrated/included tools to allow for a swift and convenient workflow and allow users to dive straight into what they want to do. The interface is comfortable to look at and work with and intuitively laid out.

  ### 37. Logic Pro X for the win

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent H. | Creative Mind, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I've been using Logic and Pro Tools for almost 10 years now for my music editing needs. Logic has always had a more user-friendly interface and fantastic build-in and free plug-ins. While both apps allow you to edit and enhance your audio, as well as work on video projects, Logic, to me, has been far more intuitive. What's more is that I've never had to struggle with a dongle, which is a major drawback for me, especially when the dongle fails and I am unable to get into Pro Tools or access my plugins. Logic Pro X is just uncomplicated.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I'm not sure this really applies to Logic as it does to the power of my computers. I've had to upgrade a lot of my hardware to make Logic Pro X work fluidly without popping up resource errors. It's been costly to put together a computer with enough processing power to handle the number of tracks I create and plugins I use. In saying that, Pro Tools was not much different. Fewer resource warnings, but still irritating when you're in the middle of a session and can't move forward without shutting down apps to reallocate processing power.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

No matter which Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) you use, there will be a learning curve. Don't purchase it with the idea that you're just going to dive right in with no experience. It took years for me to get a firm grasp on what Logic could do and I'm still learning as I go. YouTube tutorials are great, provided you know the terminology and understand exactly what you want from the DAW.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency and convenience. I compose music and create sound effects. Even just installing Logic and the audio packs gave me powerful tools and sounds to work with. I've installed a large number of plugins since then and Logic has never failed to run any of them seamlessly. I'm particularly fond of how the iZotope plugins integrate with Logic Pro X.

  ### 38. Terrific Program For Producers, Novice to Intermediate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | US Teaching Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I enjoy being able to work with all kinds of genres easily. I produce music in a variety of styles and it's great to be able to use a program that has a robust audio track work-system, and an intuitive midi and sample-based sector. You can easily switch between production phases, from arrangement, to mixing, to mastering, with ease and all with a lovely looking and easily navigable interface.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

While Logic Pro X is a great program all-around, it could be better when it comes to sample-based music styles, such as all forms of electronic dance music. The program recently received a massive update, which serves as an overhaul of its sampler-system, switching out the old, ugly, and outdated EXS24 sampler for the shiny, new, and much more utilitarian quick-sampler and multi-sampler tools. The sampling capabilities in logic improved dramatically thereafter, but there is still room for improvement in this area, and it falls short in this aspect when compared with DAWs such as FL Studio and Ableton.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

If you're new to producing, Logic Pro X is a terrific program to learn the ropes of music production, and it's all-angles application in music production, podcast editing, and film sound editing makes it a very versatile tool for other kinds of creators as well. For the $200 price point it is also well-worth the money, and you get plenty of features that you'll be using for years after buying. Make good use of YouTube tutorials and other web-guides when you first start using the program, you will learn quickly. Also make an effort to use the program as often as possible, perhaps once a day if you can, in order to learn the program quickly and efficiently. Don't be afraid to hop into the program to mess around for a little while, try out different plugins, and mess around with melodies to get a feel for how everything works.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How best to utilize samples in the new multi-sampler tool. The new Logic update has significantly enhanced the experience, and I've been reaping the benefits of this especially. I'm also not incredibly satisfied with some of the stock plugins, so I've been trying out some third party ones.

  ### 39. User-friendly interface that packs a punch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimmy B. | Sound Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

As a Mac user, the speed and efficiency of using a program like Logic is paramount for a variety of audio production endeavors. I was first interested in switching from a previous DAW because of the Inspector functionality in Logic Pro X, and utilizing it for midi orchestration. The more I dug into the software, the more I realized how fully optimized Logic is for full-blown studio production, and I’ll likely never go back.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

I am nervous about upgrading my os because of rumors around Logic Pro X’s compatibility with the new update. Some kind of announcement from the company concerning compatibility would put my mind at ease before upgrading.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many audio editing faux pas I was guilty of before switching to Logic have now been rectified and my workflow is cleaner and more professional. Also, the ease of importing HD video for scoring to film has been a great benefit that once not too long ago I did not enjoy. I’m looking forward to learning more strategies and tips for using Logic that will enhance future projects.

I'm recording and producing my music. It has approved my business a lot

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

There is nothing I dislike with Logic Pro X

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Logic Pro X for all my recording, editing, mixing and mastering needs.

  ### 44. Logic Pro X, the musician's DAW.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug J. | Creative arts practitioner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Using a software package, operating system and computer all from the same manufacturer guarantees a level of compatibility and functionality unlike any other.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Since Apple's takeover of Logic from the German company Emagic, EXS24, import capability has been reduced. I have to use my old Logic Audio 6 on an old legacy Mac Power PC in order to import samples from my extensive Akai CDrom collection.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apple's move away from Emagic's dongle-based security and making it uniquely available on the App store was a stroke of genius, enabling them to dramatically reduce the price, and users to operate Logic on all their machines with just one licence.

  ### 45. Best DAW out there, the most user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Compared to other DAW’s, as someone who is primarily a musician/songwriter and not a producer, Logic Pro X can do everything other DAW’s can do in a much more easy and less complicated manner.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

A few bugs here and there but they usually get wiped with patch updates. Because it’s so vast, you can forget a few things but nothing a quick Google can’t do to jog your memory.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

Try the demo and you’ll see how much easier it is to use than Pro Tools. Especially for people who are primarily musicians/songwriters

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting tracks and loops recorded for briefs that come in for a quick turn around time.

  ### 46. Logic Pro X is a Balanced DAW with High-Quality Mixing Capabilities

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Howard G. | MC, Producer, & Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

I like the expansiveness of Logic over the past decade. Logic has become a more user-friendly workstation, while also becoming more of an asset for producers. I enjoy Logic's mixing and mastering quality, as well as Logic's compatibility with outside plugins and VSTs.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

There are other DAWs I would choose before Logic in terms of production, as Logic's library is limited compared to other Workstations. In addition, the MIDI editing in Logic can lack precision at times, making the editing tools a bit difficult to use. I have had issues with the quantizing feature on a few occasions.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When recording with Logic, I know I am getting industry-level processing, with quality mixing tools to perfect vocals and instruments. Logic has become more user-friendly, and maintained a high level of mixing quality. I am also able to compose and produce within Logic, a feature that has improved over time. Files are easily shared between Logic and other DAWs, making Logic one of my favorite programs to use for mixing and mastering, regardless of what program my audio files were created in.

  ### 47. Great DAW from 10.5 Version

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nenad . | Co Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Intuitive controls, great graphic and UI, fantastic sound.
There are hundreds of other excellent features and I simply don't have the room to discuss here, many of which have been with the program for years. With the latest update, and despite the minor issues described above, Logic Pro becomes the perfect DAW on market.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

Absolutely nothing. From version 10.5 all what I want is on right place.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for mixing and working with MIDI.Benefits are quick and intuitive working.

  ### 48. Logic Pro X review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ISB H. | Rapper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

The range of MIDI instruments available and the flexibility of the synths to change these sounds and create new instruments

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

The humaniser for MIDI instruments doesn’t quite cut it in my opinion, never provides the level of articulation as live instrument

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

Make sure to learn from tutorials, you will definitely learn tricks you may not have thought of. Also be patient when sifting through MIDI sounds as the library is huge

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using side chain compression in an effective way, there’s a nice balance needed for it to be effective without ruining the sound, especially with vocals

  ### 49. New and improved

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefano T. | Project Manager Microsoft Dynamics 365, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Drum parts programming, scores and native instruments are great features for what I do

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

too much time loading files .component and too much problems for external vst downloaded from the internet.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can do music for videos very easily, I can have quality instruments without buying very expensive plugins

  ### 50. Easy to use with professional quality.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Logic Pro X?**

Logic has a very user friendly interface, its athletically pleasing to view, has simple keyboard shortcuts which are easy to remember and can be used to create multiple different genres of music.

**What do you dislike about Logic Pro X?**

It is only available on Apple which means it's less accessable as the cheaper price to purchase compared to pro tools or Ableton is less appealing due to the £1500 entry price for the hardware.

**Recommendations to others considering Logic Pro X:**

If you already have the hardware it's a top choice for music production.

**What problems is Logic Pro X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes editing EQ easier as it allows you to view the soundwave and see how it's being affected giving you a visual aide to help mix music.
