What do you like best about ElevenLabs?

I've been using ElevenLabs for just under a month, and overall, I’m impressed with its capabilities. Here's a breakdown of my experience so far:

Significant Time and Cost Savings

The software drastically reduces both the time and cost needed for voiceover creation, making it a valuable tool for content production.

Voice Variety and Flexibility

I really appreciate the ability to choose from different voices, tones, and contexts. This flexibility brings plurality and depth to my work.

What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?

I've been using ElevenLabs for just under a month and while the software shows a lot of promise, there are a few areas where it could be improved:

Voice Selection Interface Needs Work

The interface could be more intuitive, especially when searching for voices. It’s not always straightforward to filter or find voices in languages other than English.

Limited Pronunciation Control

There’s currently no built-in way to manually adjust the pronunciation of specific words. This becomes an issue when mixing languages—like inserting an English word into an Italian sentence—and needing correct phonetic handling.

Inflexibility with Stress and Emphasis Errors

Rarely, a voice might mispronounce a word (e.g., placing the stress on the wrong syllable), and unfortunately, there's no way to correct or override this behavior.

What problems is ElevenLabs solving and how is that benefiting you?

ElevenLabs is solving the problem of time-consuming and costly voiceover production. It allows me to generate high-quality voiceovers quickly, without the need to hire voice actors or schedule recording sessions. This has resulted in a huge reduction in both production time and costs. Additionally, it makes the editing process much more efficient—if I need to change or correct something in the script, I can regenerate the audio instantly instead of re-recording, which speeds up my entire workflow significantly. "Difficult Setup, Affordable Option"

What do you like best about ElevenLabs?

I appreciate ElevenLabs for its affordability. The price point is attractive, and it provides an economical choice among other vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ElevenLabs?

I find ElevenLabs extremely difficult to set up and use, especially the API systems which are not user-friendly for those without technical knowledge or those with neurological disorders. The lack of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and user interface (UI) control systems makes integrations and connections challenging. Although ElevenLabs offers more options, the models are not as good as those from other providers I have tried, such as hume.ai. Despite testing with ElevenLabs due to its lower price point, I rely on other providers for high-quality tasks. Currently, ElevenLabs does not solve problems for me, and I hope for significant improvement with future fine-tuning. I also find nothing particularly easy or beneficial to use compared to other providers, requiring a complete upgrade of their emotional awareness models. The ease of use, especially concerning Model Configuration Protocol (MCP) and utilizing large language models (LLM) for configuration, needs substantial improvement.
