What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase allows me to create applications that meets my business requirements, with little coding knowledge. User Interface is awesome and it's easy to use. It offers various security features that meets industry standards. A wide varirety of integration with other tools is also offered Quickabse which helps to get in sync with exiting system. "Create a database to clean up the mess of spreadsheets with little to no experience"

What do you like best about Quickbase?

Quickbase is a user friendly tool that allows you to create a relational database with minimal technical skills. I was able to take a mess of spreadsheets tracking partners, their engagements, contact informaiton and so much more into a database with all the relevant reports in a couple months (not dedicated time, while managing many other products). You can put a basic database together in a day if you are starting with clean data.

It has a clean look and feel, if you have the capacity to add some custom code pages, that is an option that is also available.

The new forms builder makes for a much better looking forms than what was available previously and allows for showing steps or pages at the top and more control over the formatting of the page.

We were able to integrate Quickbase to Monday.com workflows and Salesforce accounts. We are in the process of transitioning our Fluxx grants management process to Quickbase as well which has been very well received by teams currently testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

If you are used to a more traditional database, it takes some getting used to but still user friendly. For example, if you want a report that shows fields from multiple tables in the database, you need to add lookup fields to the table you are pulling from.

Sometimes you need to get creative with their formulas to get your desired outcome like using link formulas to allow one user role to view a record in a form other than the default form for their role but most things are possible even if not native. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had the issue of our data being difficult to access, needing to control access to relevant information for the entire organization for fear that someone would mistakenly edit a excel sheet, now we can set permissions to host all the information in one place and give folks access to what they need.

We needed data in a place where it could be brought into the overall data management platform for cross component analytics, data lake etc. and this fixed that issue for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For our company, our domain and QuickBase's domain are not one and the same. Unfortunately, users can get stuck in the between area of access to one, but not access to another. What do you like best about Quickbase?

The pipelines and the relationships between the tables. One can visualize the fields and all the dependencies involved. There can also be more freedom for customizing the User Interface within the forms.

The application tends to suffer in speed while loading vast amounts of records.

"Far too expensive"

What do you like best about Quickbase?

It was easy to get started and onboard people into the application. My non-technical team members can create their own views that match their specific needs. It was easy to prototype views and data entry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

When we signed up years ago it was relatively cheap and you could pay per user. Now is two factors, two decimal places are more expensive and you have to buy blocks of user licenses. I am desperately looking for an alternative, and I will leave the first chance I get.

When your database gets too big you can't export it using the built-in tools, you have to build your own using there API. There API has limits that prevent exporting the entire database in a single day, so you need to build tools with rate limiting in it.

Primarily the expensive is my biggest issues, its thousand of dollars a month for even 2 users to use.

"Land of Possibilities"

What do you like best about Quickbase?

We are early in the process of joining the Quickbase community, but so far it has been exceptional. My client has tried using many other systems to run their business and all had limitations with an exorbitant cost. Quickbase has been reasonable pricing with multiple pricing models depending on the need. They also were willing to give us a monthly period with their development team before signing a contract to provide proof of concept.

So far, any idea I have pitched to their team for an improvement to my client’s systems has been possible and not just them saying it, they have shown me a quick mockup of the concept each time before we even started the paid few months. Quickbase is like having an open canvas to paint in your company’s needs. Want to have a new CRM, you can paint that. Want to have a live data model that you currently do in Excel, no problem. Want to code in features that Quickbase doesn’t natively support, it allows multiple code languages to be used for customization. It may be a working jack of all trades that allows for mastery level success. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Quickbase?

At this point, we haven't experienced many downsides as the software should accomplish each of our needs while replacing many other programs. It appears easier to use than the multiple other software we have tried to this point, but I will update this after we have more time in development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?

It will be running my clients shop quote to cash. We are paring it with Quickbooks for the easy integration, then all the features Quickbooks is lacking will be implemented in Quickbase through the API. This will allow their manufacturing, assembly, shipping, sales, finance, and field tech teams to all be in one integrated system that operates the unique way they conduct business.
