FastField Forms Reviews & Product Details

The introduction of the dynamic forms a couple of years ago was a game changer for my business. The other main aspect we benefit from is global forms, which allows consistency in write-ups with my team Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reports that we produce can be large, and sometimes they are too large so unable to land via email or direct download. This is problematic as we then have to do the report in two halves and stitch the pdfs together. Note: this is likely an issue that only applies to businesses producing complex forms with hundreds of entries/photos like ours does. The second niggle is in the repeating form, entry 1 on the report is 0 on the form (since 1 = repeated version of 0). So on a practical sense we are looking on a report which (e.g.) has entry no.4 on the pdf report and in fastfields that is entry no.3. Lastly, one last suggestion that would be better with the global forms would be to offer the nearest match... Currently you have to search for the exact wording, which means on a practical basis searching for just 1 key word and then going through a smaller list of options with that word in it. This is ok, but would be much better to be able to type in a couple of words that would then understand which issue you are looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fast Field has been a great platform to help our business go paperless. Everything has been very easy to use and learn to use. Anything we got stuck on we had an email response very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As far as mobile forms software goes, Fast field doesn't have all the extras their competitors have, but we have been able to find a way to make what we needed work. Also, when adding an address it can find your location, in the app it will show the actual address, however, once the form is submitted it only comes through as coordinates. It was fairly easy to get started to deploy. Has flexibility of devices. UI/UX fairly straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Support fades off quickly unless you enjoy a group environment. Requires internet to keep working. When it uploads with no internet, it will only list one time for the entire report when you have time and date stamp on a specific field. Additional reports are not exported into tables in Excel. Fastfield Forms was a great option when we were looking for a platform that would let us create an inspection form for our property site visits, so we could evaluate standards, safety, security, and other compliance issues. It was also much more affordable than working with other companies that charge large amounts for setup and ongoing use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the nuances of setting up the forms have made the process a bit challenging at times. Support is available, but it can take a little while to get a response. Fastfield has been rolling out several new options, including an AI option, but the pricing feels a bit too high right now compared with the benefits we would get from it. I really appreciate how easy it is to modify the forms with FastField Forms, which makes data collection smooth and efficient. The consolidation of data is a big plus as well. We used to juggle different forms on paper and excel, but now everything is automated, electronically filled, and reported. We would like to have the ability to do the forms by sample; currently, all the forms have to be done 100%. The forms for us are a Control Plan in our quality system. The most helpful thing about FastField Forms is how easy it is to build forms. Anyone using the web app can quickly figure out how to create even complex digital forms, and have them ready to use within minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the lack of GIS functionality, and I also don’t like that there’s no way to enter billing units and prices to calculate billing, costs, or invoices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The way you can quickly put a form together and the flexible way in creating reports and templates. The pricing is competitive too across similar products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface for searching for submissions could be improved to allow searching without lots of field selections- maybe using AI for searching would be better? Also user names (first & last name) should be made available to print on reports, not just email address. They shouldn't have to be looked up or a separate list made for names since it already exists in the database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Streamline of routine inspections and compliance required maintenance. I save hours of saving and moving files from one place to another, everything is dropped directly where I need it and labeled accordingly. The integrations have saved me a bunch of time. Some of the functions don't always work seamlessly. The new calendar glitches out on me all the time and I have to refresh my browser to fix it. Sometimes items randomly won't dispatch so I have to keep an eye on it but it has not happened lately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using Fast Field since 2018 as part of our Safety inspection program. Since starting we have added several forms and processes to enable our team to go paperless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

From the data we can see what inspections have been done but we do not have insight on what is missing. We have over 50,000 assets that require inspections and have to use alternative measures to track the completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

MWF Support chats and easy form structuring but incredibly undocumented bugs plus solutions like Javascript/Rules ordering is time consuming Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The complete lack of updated or extended documentation as well as support chat to make answers easily found but this underlies that there's many bugs the larger one tries to go with the form Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
