What do you like best?
First, let's be clear, I'm not a numbers person. Comp is a necessary function of my job, but I don't need to like it...
I've talked to a number of people at Payscale over the years, and haven't come across one Payscale employee who doesn't just LOVE comp. They live it, they breathe it, and they are SO good at making me feel like it's all going to be OK, and I will survive another year of market data!
Yesterday when talking to my Customer Success Mgr. Chris about an annual refresh Chris said to me, "Tina, I'm SO excited to get this refresh done for you" followed by "this is going to be fantastic". Honestly, just the fact that he used excited and fantastic when describing Comp, makes me feel like we've made the right investment!
I love working with happy people. Thanks guys for being COMP-letely amazing!
What do you dislike?
In general, Comp is not my favorite thing. But with insight, I can't honestly say there is anything I dislike.
If however I had to pick one thing or the world would come to an end - I think it might be that I have a little trouble at times finding Payscale Job titles that match a couple our roles in Manufacturing. For the admin or finance type roles, job matching is a cinch, it's just a little trickier for manufacturing roles.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We are not unlike any other business, we have challenges attracting great people. We're not a sexy or glamorous business, we aren't like Microsoft or a Google with on-site restaurants, or bring your dog to work environment we are manufacturing / Engineering. We make amazing machines, that package your morning cereal... we need our offers to be attractive.
With Payscale, I am super confident that the offers that I present to candidates are great. And if they don't want to work here because they don't like high speed equipment, that's one thing... but they can't say they don't want to work here because we don't pay well!
