### Comment 1

Anaplan doesn’t use a traditional relational database like MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL. Instead, it runs on its in-memory calculation engine known as Hyperblock. This engine is designed to handle large-scale, complex planning and modeling scenarios across finance, supply chain, sales, and other enterprise functions. The Hyperblock engine enables real-time data processing and dynamic modeling, which allows users to instantly see the impact of changes across models without long wait times. Unlike traditional databases that stores and retrieve static data, Anaplan’s architecture is built to perform fast, multidimensional calculations in memory. That’s a key differentiator and one of the reasons Anaplan is preferred for enterprise performance management. So, to sum it up: Anaplan does not rely on a traditional database—its core is the Hyperblock in-memory engine suitable for connected planning.
