In these cases, the data available often feels limited, making it more challenging to establish salary ranges with the same confidence we have for more common positions.
Another area of difficulty is the lack of filtering options for compensation data by company size or industry. As a smaller organization that does not compete directly with large tech firms, it would be extremely beneficial to narrow benchmarks to companies that are more similar to ours. Without these filters, some of the compensation ranges can be skewed higher than what is realistic or competitive for our particular market.
