"Intuitive, Efficient, and Solid Tool for Recruiters"
What do you like best about Lever?

I love the organization aspect of Lever as everything is easy to see and find, making it very intuitive and user-friendly for day-to-day tasks as a recruiter. The customization options available in Lever allow me to tailor my experience to fit my workflow, enhancing my efficiency. I particularly enjoy the quick resume review feature, which simplifies the process of clicking through resumes and efficiently handling candidates whether it's archiving, emailing rejections, or moving them to interview rounds. Additionally, the new Talent Intelligence feature is exciting as it helps flag candidates that are likely a good fit based on the AI interpretation of their resumes, offering a modern approach to recruitment challenges. Furthermore, Lever's integration capabilities with other tools we use, such as HRIS BOB, Checkr, and sourcing tools like Covey Scout, are incredibly beneficial as they create a seamless recruitment pipeline. Finally, my overall satisfaction with Lever is reflected in my high recommendation score of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

I would love if the Talent Intelligence feature used more of a ranking option so I could see how candidates are being sorted. I would also love to see improvement to the filtering options - sometimes incorrect results are provided. For Talent Intelligence, there is no way to filter by candidates who are not a fit. I'd love to have that option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Platform but needing major upgrades to stay relevant"
What do you like best about Lever?

Ease of use for our recruiting team and our hiring managers.

Constantly updating, making improvements, adding integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

Would like to be able to mark candidates as A,B, C or Diamond, Gold, Silver medalists so that our impact players are easily recognizable, something other than tagging. I would like a dashboard where I can visually add all the candidates I need to follow up with. I would like to have more control over the Talent Fit, it's a nice start but it is not accurate at all. Considering it is based on the Job Ad. We are changing from using job descriptions to actual job ads where the Talent Fit won't create the appropriate matches. I would like more control over what the managers are able to do and not do in the platform. I would like them to be able to see all of their open jobs and candidates, but I don't want them moving them through the pipeline or creating job offers. I have tried using the top of funnel automations, but they don't function the way I need them to, even with the help of our Account Rep and the Tech team. In general I and my team feel the AI is lagging way behind the competition for top of funnel and candidate outreach. Also, having ongoing integration issues for over two years with our CRM provider. "Beware of their sneaky "auto-renew" terms"
What do you like best about Lever?

For small teams with occasional hiring needs, Lever works fine. It has most of the functionality to effectively hire. However, their pricing is more expensive than other ATS software with more robust features. You can easily cross-post your jobs to dozens of integrated job boards but the candidate quality is often questionable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

If you are a startup, Lever will not give you access to a Customer Success Manager so you're left to navigate the ATS with their self-serve resources. This can be frustrating when you're trying to set up Lever and understand how to best use the platform. Additionally, I had an awful experience terminating my contract with Lever and ultimately had to pay for a full year of the software even though we switched to a different ATS. Lever sneaks an "auto renew" term into their contracts and hides a requirement for 30 day advance notice to cancel in their website's terms & conditions. Although I emailed Lever to cancel my software the day before the renewal date, I was told because I didn't provide 30 days' advance notice, the order form auto-renewed and they threatened to send us to collections if we didn't pay. I never received any communications from Lever leading up to the renewal and their team was extremely unhelpful in trying to find an amenable solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly but Needs Better Support"
What do you like best about Lever?

I have been using Lever for over three years, mainly for recruiting and hiring candidates within my company. What stands out is its user-friendly interface which made getting started with it straightforward and seamless. I really appreciate Lever's ability to easily access and track hiring data, as well as export new hire information to our CRM. The automation features in Lever have proven to be incredibly useful, allowing me to set up processes that saved time and reduced our reliance on support staff, effectively saving us both time and money. Additionally, as far as I'm aware, Lever has been a good financial fit for our company, and my team is very happy with its functionality and ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

I do wish that Lever's support team was more accessible. I have gotten very frustrated at times with their support team because some of the other platforms that my team uses have support teams that are much more accessible than Lever's. It's not the end of the world, but it's something that I feel could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Integrable, Needs More Automation"
What do you like best about Lever?

I really appreciate how user-friendly Lever is, making it easy for people to learn and navigate, which is crucial in my role as a TA coordinator. The software is well laid out, with features that organize candidates and job postings effectively. It allows seamless integration with systems like LinkedIn, automatically posting job listings, which saves our team valuable time. Lever's ability to track requisitions and maintain organization within the team is impressive. I also enjoy the connectivity it provides with other systems such as SAP, HR Hub, and LinkedIn, which enhances our efficiency. Moreover, the features for scheduling interviews, managing pending approvals, and creating offer workflows, which automatically bring up approvers, are extremely useful in streamlining our operations. The overall capability of housing almost all the information we need for managing candidates is invaluable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

I find it challenging that requisitions require manual input of details, which increases the workload. It would be beneficial if this process could be automated to reduce the manual labor involved. Additionally, the current filter options within the jobs or requisitions sections appear insufficient, specifically lacking the capability to filter by hiring manager. This limitation has been a recurring concern for my team and myself, where the absence of adequate filter options stifles efficient navigation and data management. "Automation Wins, But CRM Falls Short"
What do you like best about Lever?

I appreciate Lever's good user guides, which made it easy for me to configure most of the platform by myself due to my experience with applicant tracking systems. This is supported by the option to have a consultant assist if necessary. I find Lever's automation features particularly useful, as they allow the automation of almost any workflow, which considerably optimizes our recruiting processes. The job-specific knockout questions feature is also highlighted as being especially good, adding value to the hiring efficiency. Furthermore, Lever's ability to integrate with several other vendors satisfies our additional software solution needs effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

{"I probably wouldn't buy Lever again because there are other better options in the marketplace now.","Lever's websites are not good, limiting their overall effectiveness.","Lever's CRM functionality is limited, which is a drawback for me.","The lack of a full career site offering within Lever is a significant issue, as even custom-built career sites lose functionality through the apply flow.","For small to midsize companies, the absence of a good career site bundled with the software is a major gap."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple and Effective Tool"
What do you like best about Lever?

Having implemented Lever at various companies, I can confidently recommend Lever to small and mid-size companies, and implementation has always been a breeze, with great support along the way. Lever makes recruiting feel easy. It keeps everything in one place and helps me stay organized across candidates, interviews, and feedback. The automation and reminders make it simple to keep things moving and stay on top of communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

Some reports and filters could be a little easier to use. It takes a bit of time to set things up the way you want, but once it is dialed in, it works really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid recruiting tool with great tracking and collaboration features"
What do you like best about Lever?

Lever does its job very well. It allows me to maintain a clear funnel of all candidates across multiple job openings, making it easy to track where each person is in the process. I also appreciate how it keeps a record of all email communications between candidates and my team, and how we can share notes across departments. The activity tracking helps me stay on top of pending tasks, and the search functionality is excellent, especially helpful when I don’t remember exact candidate names. The filters and search options are spot on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

Sometimes the resumes (CVs) take longer than expected to load, which can be frustrating if you are in a middle of an interview. Also, I feel the dashboards, particularly for hiring managers, could provide more insights, such as average time to hire for specific roles, bottlenecks in the process, or better visual overviews of pipeline health. "Simple and straightforward, but otherwise poor compared to others I've used"
What do you like best about Lever?

It is very simple and straightforward, easy to use for posting & review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lever?

It does not auto-disposition despite having built-in Qualifying Questions and causes extra added lift on recruiting partners to filter responses out manually. Additionally, it often does not show that the person has been Archived in the active inbox, rather you have to manually click through the existing "applicant" pool to ensure they've disappeared from view as Archived. Additionally, if they are applying for more than one position, you cannot bulk disposition even with filtering based on a response as those who have applied to more than one job need to be manually removed and addressed individually. Also, adding and deleting users is a main, as most would not think to go to Surveys to find such insight. Posting jobs is easy, but the fields are not easily manipulated and often font is all wonky on the live page even if it looks right on the posting page. API Integration not easy to manipulate either without adding as IT. I use Lever daily so these are all ongoing irritants. As the Head of People, I will be moving us off this ATS to another platform once renewal becomes available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
