There are project report and people report that are provided by Float. But I feel like there isn't a bridge to connect people and project. In many situations, we want to see what kinds of projects that people are working on. For example, for person A, we want to see a report that show for this week, A is working on project B for 4 hours a day, 20 hours a week, project C for 2 hours a day, 10 hours a week and project D for 2 hours a day, 10 hours a week, etc. If you can connect project and people, that would be very helpful for us to plan resource and estimate the cost for every project/client. Float is solves an issue we were having on our team in managing our bandwidth. We were looking for this type of software for a long time! One of the strongest points of this software is the different views on how to interpret project use time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do think the more time we spend in it, the more functions we want. It becomes complicated in that does it need to stay simple the way it is, or does it need to be a full blown project management software tool? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- It allows you to view the scheduling sorted by projects, users, resources, etc.

- It allows you to use different colors to have a clearer view of the resources

Very easy to use and intuitive. For our purposes, it served exactly as what we needed it to be. We have had a lot more people properly informed on the workloads of their teams, allowing everyone to be able to better manage their resources/projects. The ability to work on this simultaneously with others, real-time, has also been extremely helpful, as we often have to just go in, make a quick update, and keep going on other tasks. For what this tool is intended to be, it's really good. I think a little bit more information in one view would be good. The resource view (with the task assignment, etc.) would be good to give a little bit more information (maybe under the name on the left?). Otherwise, really, no complaints. The managers use float to quickly understand what tasks the analysts have on their plate. If you're in an industry like mine, goals and priorities can shift at the drop of a hat. Some improvements could be made to inputting calendar data. The site lacks intuitive controls which could bring it on par with a modern cell phone app, or if it has them it doesn't do a great job of explaining the hotkeys. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's easy to see what work I've got for the day, week and month. I can easily see other people's work and that allows me to adjust accordingly, it's easy to assign work to others. I enjoy the automated emails that show me the work for the week ahead as I can go through it as a part of my morning routine through my emails.

Float is extremely easy to use and you can work on it like a pro from day one. Its dashboard is quite clean and uncluttered. I can see mine and my team's performance and plan clearly on the dashboard. We can send updates, assign its priority and plan everything in advance with its help. Its quite an amazing planner but it still has a long way to go. It still doesn't offer some features such as proper functioning search bar, its dashboard is quite small, etc. But probably the whole point in using this software is less is more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
