## Float.com Reviews
  ### 1. Useful for Resource Management, But Not User-Friendly

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anika H. | Associate Producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like the color coding options. It makes it really easy for our team to view people's schedules and organize the information in a way that makes the most sense to us. Organizing our schedules based on clients and assigning colors to each one makes it easier to see allocations in Float.com. The color coding helps us make decisions more quickly since we can view the schedule in this way, organizing it in our brains more easily.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I don't think it's the most user friendly at first. We switched from another resource management tool that everyone was able to understand really quickly. I think there's a lot of tabs that kind of feel like they do the same thing, but you're only able to do certain actions when you're in a certain view or on a certain page. So that can be kind of confusing. We tried doing a Monday integration, and that didn't work. It was actually quite challenging. We had a Float.com representative that tried to kind of onboard our team or prep our team, but I think we tried to implement it before we were really ready. So overall, the company struggled a lot with the implementation, and we didn't find the Float.com rep to be all that helpful.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Float.com to manage resource allocation and project future needs, organizing team availability to see bandwidth and hiring needs clearly.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi Anika, thank you so much for this detailed feedback. I think it will genuinely help us improve. I’m really glad color coding has made scheduling clearer and faster for your team, and that’s exactly what it’s designed to do.
I hear you on the navigation complexity. Making Float intuitive from day one is something that our product teams are actively working on, and your point about actions being tied to specific views is a fair one.
I’m also sorry the Monday integration and onboarding experience fell short. When it comes to the onboarding experience, in particular, that’s not the standard I’d expect from our team. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our support team (support@float.com). It would be great to gather some more information from you on where things broke down and help you get more value from Float.

  ### 2. Clunky Interface and Limited Scheduling Views Need Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

The ability to see at a glance how many projects a person has been assigned to work on.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

The interface is clunky. It would be nice to be able to see a whole year at once instead of just months, since our projects typically span 2+ years of development. It would be nice if editing the Start and End dates would automatically update the schedules of the folks assigned to the project, instead of needing to manually update each person. Please let us toggle off the cost tracking option, as we don't use it and it's throwing up warnings all over the place.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to see time commitments in a centralized location, which is helpful for getting a snapshot of how well situated we are for the coming months.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi there, thank you for taking the time to write in. I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling to get the full-year view of capacity you were hoping for. You’re right, Float typically only shows month-to-month time visuals. Yearly or quarterly views aren’t available at the moment, though we’ve considered them for the future. I wanted to offer some help with adjusting your team’s time when project dates change. You don’t need to change them one by one. We have two features that can help with that: (1) multi-select a group of people on the schedule using the “shift” key and dragging the crosshairs, or (2) use the shift timeline feature in the project plan to automatically shift out the scheduled time of your project (and the allocations) all at once. I’ve attached a link to the support documentation that speaks about the shift timeline feature. Hope this helps!

  ### 3. Effective Workforce Scheduling with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brianne A. | Senior Associate Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like that I can assign people time in a day to work on one of my projects. It also lets me put in comments and assign work by project numbers so that people see exactly what project they're gonna be working on that day.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I don't like the aspect of Float.com where it's too easy to accidentally delete someone else's information. Sometimes things are just too easy to remove, and there should be some extra fail safes for that. It's hard for me to see if something was previously there and who removed it. I'd like to be able to see who added time to somebody so that I know who to follow-up with.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float.com helps me track in and out of office time for myself and my team, making it easy to see when colleagues are unavailable for scheduling fieldwork.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi Brianne, I’m glad to hear that Float is helping you schedule your team’s time out in the field. I wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for offering us the feedback on deleting items. I will pass this along to see if there are any ways to prevent accidental deletions. Generally speaking, we pride ourselves on how easy it is to move things around in Float, but that can come with drawbacks, as you mentioned above.

  ### 4. Effective Time Logging but Needs Better Resource Allocation

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like the ability to easily log time with Float.com. It helps me by making it easier to see the progress on a project and my team's capacity.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I'm frustrated with Float.com because it only creates more problems for me. In particular, the forward-looking resource allocation doesn't work as well as I'd like.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float.com helps by easily seeing project progress and my team's capacity, though it creates more problems.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. I’m happy to hear that you can easily log time and view capacity and project progress in Float. That’s really what Float was designed for. I would love to get a few more details from you around your issues with forward planning. It will really help the team consider future improvements. If you have time, we'd love to hear a bit more about that experience at support@float.com.

  ### 5. Sr Director

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

High level visibility of projects in studio

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Doesn't allow for dynamic prioritization / ownership amongst our creative and account leads.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team time tracking

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi there, thanks for taking the time to review Float. I really appreciate it. I wanted to check in to see if we could get more details from you around “dynamic prioritization”. As we continue to build out Float’s AI capabilities, I feel like this is the intent of features like Smart assign, and others still to come. If you don’t mind, we’d love to hear from you in Support (support@float.com) about how we could enable even better dynamic prioritization and ownership. In the meantime, I’ve attached a few more details about Smart assign in case they interest you.

  ### 6. Effective for Scheduling, Needs More Project Management Features

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohanad S.

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I appreciate that Float makes project allocation straightforward, allowing me to efficiently distribute tasks. The setup process was also very straightforward since everything was already set up for me when I started using it. Additionally, I find it valuable that Float helps my team member by showing her what projects I'm working on and forecasting for the upcoming weeks, even if it doesn't directly solve my personal problems. This feature aids in better transparency and team collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I find that Float is not solving any of my problems directly, yet it helps one of my team members, which can feel indirect and less beneficial for me personally. Additionally, the inability to manage projects directly within Float is a significant limitation. Project management is a crucial aspect of my workflow that I wish could be handled within the system. This aspect limits the efficiency and completeness of the tool in my daily tasks.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps my team by showing project allocations and forecasting upcoming tasks, aiding in better team planning and resource management.

  ### 7. Great for Daily Planning, But Needs Better Communication and Hour Tracking

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Seeing a snapshot of my day and upcoming workload. I can use it as a to-do list by seeing which projects I'm scheduled to work on, and understand how much time I'm expected to spend on each.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I don't like that I can't correspond with the scheduler within Float, and I have to message them separately. I wish I could click on an entry and leave a comment or send a message.

I don't like that there's no 'total hours' at the top of each day, so I have to add up the hours for each project to tell if I'm heavy or light that day.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps multiple producers and managers across accounts see my workload in one place, which helps make sure I have enough to do and not overloaded.

  ### 8. Project management made easy, but display could be improved

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float allows me to easily access all the projects I manage as a digital project manager, as well as the availability of all my team members. Thanks to this, I can adjust their schedule without difficulty.

I also appreciate the ability to display only the details of certain projects, while others remain visible in gray, without displaying their details. This makes reading much clearer.

I also like that my team members can indicate when an "allocation" is completed, which helps to better distinguish tasks that have already been handled from those that remain to be accomplished.

Finally, the project plan view proves to be very practical for working in agile mode, especially with sprints, as it allows for easily adding milestones and phases.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

A very recurring problem is causing me to lose a lot of time: when I modify an allocation several times, part of the text contained in the "Notes" section is deleted after clicking "update". This leads to situations where members regularly inform me that they do not have access to all the information they need to complete their tasks.

It would also be more convenient if, on the "Project Plan" interface, when a "milestone" is added to a project, it is only visible in the "Project Plan" interface and only by the members involved in that project. This would prevent overloading other company members who are not participating in this project with information that does not concern them.

Still regarding the "Project Plan" tab, I found the old functionality more suited to my needs. I regret that when selecting a project in "Project Plan", it is no longer possible to see in gray the allocations assigned to members in other projects. Since this interface change, I use this view much less, whereas it was previously extremely useful to me.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to organize the schedule of multiple people while managing different projects in the same place is really convenient.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi there,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us; it’s very valuable for us to understand both your needs and any friction points you’re experiencing. I’m working with our Support team to understand whether your issue with the “Notes” section might actually be a bug that we can fix for you.

Regarding the feedback you highlighted regarding the Project planning experience, as well as the new “Project view,” I completely understand. What I can say is that as of now, you can continue to use the “old” Project plan view. Instead of clicking on the project name, which now takes you into the new view, you need to click the double arrows in the lower right-hand corner of the card to expand the plan. If you do want to try out the newer Project view, you still have the option of viewing the other project allocations on this view.

Follow the instructions here: https://support.float.com/en/articles/11405498-project-view#h_a17c320fa7

Please let us know if you’d like any more guidance around how to access the “old” Project plan view or how to better make use of the new Project view. We’d also love to collect any additional feedback you have. You can do this by reaching out to our support team via email (support@float.com) or in-app chat. Thank you!

  ### 9. Intuitive and Simple, But Editing Time Entries Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris R. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's intuitive, it's not cluttered with too many extra features, it allows us to colour-code by client

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

When you try to edit a time entry start time, it changes the end time as well. IMO these times should not change unless you choose to edit them. I sometimes start logging 15 mins after starting a job, and then want to move back the start time but NOT change the end time.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm required to track my time by job, and it does that effectively

  ### 10. Easy Time Logging, But Room to Improve

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It’s easy for me to log time against the projects I’m assigned to.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I am unable to log time on Saturdays and Sundays.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility on time spent on various activities and various projects.

  ### 11. Handy Scheduling App, But the Interface Feels Clunky

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I can see my schedule and it has an app which makes it easy.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

The app is kind of clunky. Could be more intuitive

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can see my schedule easily

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi there, thanks for the feedback on the app. I would love to dig in with you a little further to find out how we can make the app more intuitive. If you’re willing, I can set up a product feedback session. Feel free to reach out to support@float.com, and they can get it all set up. Thanks!

  ### 12. Clunky Time-Off Workflow and Holiday Overtime Limitations

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam . | software developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It displays working time pretty easily and is fairly intuitive

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Adding time off is not a smooth workflow, I cant add overtime if a holiday has been planned and i have actually worked on that day. It feels clunky

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None really, its a necessity I have to use because the company dictates

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi Adam, we appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that time off isn’t working as you’d hoped. There is usually an option to override the holiday and still add to your hours to the schedule or your logged time, even on a typical non-workday. If you click on the grayed-out section, it should let you add them. I wonder if it might be related to your permissions or account type. I’ve attached an article below that explains a bit more about how the scheduling works (it generally works the same from “log time”, too). Thanks again. If you have any more trouble, you can chat with us in-app or email us at support@float.com.

  ### 13. Great for Dynamic Scheduling, But Lacks Detailed Time Tracking

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Publishing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

able to dynamically move things around to different people in the calendar view, and how it can link to trello cards for ease of scheduling

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It's not very useful for itemised summary of resourcing/scheduling timings. You can break up different projects and tasks but it is not inutitive to split it up even more to specific tasks/projects. Therefore you're not able to properly look at monthly actual time spent on something.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

able to fluidly plan my time for time sensitive projects to assign specific time to work on something

  ### 14. Flexible Organization, But Limited Editing Access

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex L. | AV Programmer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

being able to rearrange the names in any order i like. the different colors for the different types of projects.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

only certain people are allowed to make changes.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

allows me to know what i'm doing any given day at work and seeing what other colleagues are doing on days.

  ### 15. Effortless Project Time Tracking for Teams

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Being able to controll all that who many hours my tema spending time to projects.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It is pricing. It costs more than usual for each of my team. Also the time logging features more expensive too.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can calculate project timing, how many hours team spend on that projects so I can calculate the cost for that project then add my mirgins and fix spricing for that.

  ### 16. Effortless Time Management, But Occasional Glitches Frustrate

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

The ease to split, move or extend time within the tool.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

The tool will glitch, or make entries on its own while working in the tool, this is frustrating and will require a reload.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float solves how to properly load our teams to ensure that even work is spread out between teams.

**Official Response from Alexandria Petigna:**

> Hi there, great to hear that our split function is working well for you, but sorry to hear the app has been glitching. We’d love to help you out with that one, especially if it's something we can fix on our side. If it happens again, let us know at support@float.com and we’ll see what we can do.

  ### 17. Account Manager

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Easy to schedule team members time, and track in reporting hours logged

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It seems quite disjointed having so many tabs/options - could all be under one job layout similar to Streamtime

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to track hours logged to jobs that helps me wrap up finances and job tracking for future projects

  ### 18. Great Timeline Visualization, But Filtering Needs Simplification

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Seeing team schedule across multiple projects visualised in a timeline.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Filtering by job, team member or time scheduled vs logged feels overly complex.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Projecting time available among the team and traffic planning for incoming jobs vs. existing commitments is very valuable. Tracking time against jobs helps us estimate future work.

  ### 19. Great Slack Integration, But Limited Instant Update Options

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Relayed updates via email and Slack, Great user interface

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

That the only other means of getting instant updates is via Slack, or email (not so instant)

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping abreast of what jobs are upcoming

  ### 20. Simple UI Makes Tasks Easy, But Needs More Details

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

Limited task information, often only gives basic information about a task.

Management does not have to do manual handoffs.

  ### 25. Average capacity planner

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's easy to mvoe tasks between employees if someone is on leave.
You can colour code different tyes of work.
The setup process can be quite time consuming. We use it for client work and repeating tasks.
Customer support has been good and we have organised calls with Float team as and when needed.
You can integrate outlook, so that your calendar meetings are syncd automatically.
We use Float regulalry to review the teams capacity, it aids our weekly meetings.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It's quite slow... there is a bit of a lag when clicking on a task.
If you have a lot of tasks, it's quite time consuming extending the frequency of them to say the end of the year.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us see how much spare capcity the team should have. It also gives the team a time budget against each task, so it's easy for them to see if we are going over budget.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Alternative for other project planning tools, this is simple to use

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

user interface is not appealing, UI feels like outdated

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Availability planning of the resouces and tracking of project activities

  ### 27. 2 year user review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It is very easy to get a fuller overview of distributed colleagues. I think it has a fine UI and can be navigated without problems. It is still simple to adjust things like time off and project length for someone who does not use it daily.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I do not think too many things come to mind, perhaps, it could be easier to sort/filter people to have a more specific view.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing which collegues have capacity and ability to assist on other projects

  ### 28. I use Float only because it is the choice of the company where I work

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Planing, logging, and review reports works great for me.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

All the rest of what is not mentioned in pros list.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float gives a lightweight way to track my effort. Excelent choice to plan my days.

  ### 29. Float for Post Studio Scheduling

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Float is fast, fluid, and certainly an upgrade over spreadsheets and many other scheduling software options. For basic functions, it's fairly intuitive and presents data visually in a clear, digestible way.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

We found Float to be lacking features that we and many others consider "industry standard." For example, a native "right of first refusal" system. Float's flexibility allowed us to create workarounds, but they're finnicky and tedious to implement. Customer Support seemed receptive to feedback and feature suggestions, but we've yet to see the most important ones implemetned. Though I should point out that they did implement another feature I suggested.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a clear, customizable view of our studio's schedule and calendar in a way we appreciate.

  ### 30. A cohesive platform

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Guilherme S. | Project Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like the float because it allows me to have an overview of my day, of how much I spent on each project.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I find the board confusing many times, making it difficult to fill out. Failures and reloads during use make the platform tedious.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facilitate my organization and time optimization, thinking about what I can spend more or less time on, where I was more or less productive, facilitating my daily flow.

  ### 31. Easy onboarding experience, much friendlier UI than competitors I have used

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Clean and simple user interface. Was an Accelo user in the past and constantly had issues with doing activities as simple as logging time to a project. It was incredibly confusing always to understand where things. I don't really have that issue with Float thankfully.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Nothing yet, I haven't really found anything to dislike but then again I have only been using it for a couple days.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me overcome the reticence to log my hours for fear of technical complications. There have been times with Accelo where I was weeks behind logging hours due to technical difficulties.

  ### 32. Easy to use

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas R. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Well the company i work for assigned us to use this and its easy now that ive actually taken a look at it.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

My dislikes is that I have to pretty much make sure my hours are accurate. Nothing to do with the service though.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float is just keeping track of my hours for me at least.

  ### 33. Overall positive, some room for growth

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

i like being able to see everyone's schedules, and to sort and filter in different ways

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Capabilities are limited to certain user types, so it can be difficult to fully understand and take advantage of the platform if you have limited features

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy to see how my time is allocated

  ### 34. Easy to use platform

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civil Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's visually nice and pretty easy to use. The color coding is helpful as well.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I don't like that you need to apply my filter every single time I open Float. It'd be nice if my custom filter was applied by default. Additionally, it would be helpful if you could organize the list of collegues by office.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float is very helpful to track the schedules of my collegues.

  ### 35. Feature rich but unintuitive

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Lots of features and views. Able to filter in many ways and see projects in different views.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Too many features clutter the UI. The most important features are not highlighted. The product is feaature rich but not simple to use.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping an overview of hours and planning. Making sure we have enough time to work on projects and reach deadlines. Keeping an overview on relevant team members.

  ### 36. Useful tool

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nik H. | Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Sleek, intuitive UI makes scheduling effortless and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Clunky monthly view—hard to navigate and frustrating to use.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management in an easy to see UI

  ### 37. A useful tool to keep track of resources

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like that float is simple to use and you can easily see schedules.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I wish Float was a bit quicker and easier to use such as having the option to allow all team members to see all matters.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float allows us to see what our team is up to and who is busy and who has capacity.

  ### 38. EASY TO NAVIGATE

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's pretty intuitive and presents well. I like the visibility within my team. Very helpfu;

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

This makes the timesheet #3 that I have to populate each day.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float helps our team to distribute workflow and monitor time management. It doesn't benefit me personally, but it's of value to the company.

  ### 39. I use it for my sprints

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like the colours and easy acces of the programm. I use it everyday for my work, amazing!

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

The way i scroll different weeks is a bit too finnicky for me

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time management, I know what to to every other day..

  ### 40. Nice idea but not my ideal platform

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Easy to use, friendly user interface, easy updates.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Like all project management platforms, I often feel they're unnecessary or create extra work on top of what we (Video Producer) does.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have a specific problem that Float is solving for me.

  ### 41. This phrase is already in English and does not require translation. It means that something is simple to do and does not require much effort or resources.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Easy to see multiple people's time and also filter down.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It can sometimes be a little tricky to distinguish different projects or types of time booked in.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Planning for the future

  ### 42. Easy web based tracking but the widget is in shambles.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's easy to use, tracking a project is a matter of minutes

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Widget/desktop app is not working as intended.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tracking time

  ### 43. Mediocer

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Being able to use color schemes for all blocks.
Easy access for users and easy to add new users when needed.
Being able to slide blocks and set certain hours etc.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Blocks are really big and take up the whole screen. If I want to see the whole team i have to zoom out so far that I am not able to read the blocks annymore. This makes working with Float difficult in some situations to match schedules.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating rosters for the team if they have early or late shift, or working from home or the office.
Makes it easier for me then using an excel sheet for follow up.

  ### 44. Float just works

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurence Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's great that Float updates live. I can have a chat with my account service team and watch the schedule populate as they fill it in. Being able to see my availability at a glance (or whether I'm over capacity) is a great feature.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It would be better if I could disable email reminders from float at a user level. I could not find an unsubscribe option when management decided I needed a daily reminder email.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is benefiting management. It helps me better understand what I do day to day but ultimately the information will help with forecasting etc.

  ### 45. It's great for task scheduling, but lacking some basic stuff for project planning and reporting.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

It's easy to schedule a task and move it around. The API is available which is great to get the data out of the tool.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I don't like how the tool looks, visually. Especially the project planning part. Many basic features that are available in other project management tools are not available, for example the Gantt chart is not really there. The reporting part is very weak. A lot of people in the office like the tool, I think, but for me it's not the best because of some basic things are missing. We ended up using Qlik to build reporting part and the Gantt chart.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task scheduling and data extraction via API. I can use the data I get to represent it on the Qlik dashboards.

  ### 46. About using float as a designer

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wai-hon C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like the UI/UX interface. It's very friendly and clean to see the task.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

It's not sensitive when I entering my tasks.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It make our timesheet very clear to see and check.

  ### 47. A product that does what is needed

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

The ease of use and my expectations towards it were all filled

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Nothing that I can point out. Float works well and I had no issues with it

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Made scheduling clearer and I didn't have to constantly ask the PMs for the next step

  ### 48. Effective, but not super user friendly.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

I like that there are various calendar views where I can see my logged time in different contexts.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

That you can not copy an paste an entry to duplicate it onto a different column.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting time to clients.

  ### 49. If it doesn't sink

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Being able to see other members of my team who are also on the same project

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

I find some of the colours quite hard to differentiate between

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

scheduling a busy team

  ### 50. Useful for some business functions

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan W. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Float.com?**

Relatively easy to use interface, with a view that helps project managers see what the upcoming weeks/months look like in terms of resource commitment. There are also functions like adding phases to projects that are pretty useful.

**What do you dislike about Float.com?**

Any time, as a resource manager, that I need to add single day commitments in the middle of a longer commitment, I have to stop the longer commitment short of the day needing to be planned, put the day's commitment in, and recreate the longer commitment to resume after the day being planned. This is a huge headache when putting in things like one-day trainings or other commitments that aren't in the "time off" category. There could also be additional tie-ins to other software. Having to manage a forecast in Float and then do other management (time entries, project/task management, etc.) is not very efficient.

**Recommendations to others considering Float.com:**

Great tool if you're looking for a tool that assists with resource management in your organization.

**What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Float allows me, as a resource manager, to forecast things out like long-term project commitments and days off for things like holidays. It also allows me to see how a forecast matches up against a budget if needed.

**Official Response from Jess Thompson:**

> Thanks for your review, Nathan! Great to hear that Float is helping with forecasting projects and time off!
For adding a single day commitment during a longer commitment, it sounds like the Split function in the right-click menu might come in handy: https://support.float.com/en/articles/28947-right-click-menu-and-keyboard-shortcuts
Hope this saves you some time!
