"Float is good"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Can see the live schedule of my allocation on the projects / teams.

Can view the aggregate report of my past, current, and future allocations.

Simple user interface and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Hard to report the actual incurred time against the scheduled. Sometimes less easy to locate other projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float is leading our decisions"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Float has a lot of features, but one of the most important is the dashboard to overview our projects allocation in one page. It's easy to understand where our team is working on and some possible work gap in our future schedule. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Float has a lot of report options. However, in our company, we always track the Earned value management for our projects. Currently, Float does not support this report. Then, we need to calculate it in an external software. We already got in touch with Float and it's on the track to be developed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Project Management and full utilization"
What do you like best about Float.com?

As a consultant, my job requires me to work on different projects at the same time. So planning for different customers with individual tasks is key to succeed in the IT world as a consultant. Since we are all scattered around Germany (mostly at a customer facility) the best part about Float is that the whole team can see where I am and for what customer I work at a specific time. That's key for the upper management to see who is available at what time and could work for a new customer. That's what's so great about float, the aspect that it works for a company with multiple projects and different customers at the same time. It is a tool to guarantee the full utilization of the whole team at any time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Float is perfect for the things we do with it. There is nothing that bothers me personally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use and set up for teams/organisations to collaborate"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Adding users and basic set up is easy - adding new projects and moving bookings throughout the week, this gives us visibility of what is happening across teams Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Splitting bookings can be fiddly, would also be good to be aware of new features in the pipeline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Nothing off the top of my head... I'm not adding projects on Float though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float helps us to keep our studio on track"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Scheduling is a priority in our busy studio, float makes this a breeze. The ability to report on the workflow and review any potential issues is critical for the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Not much to be honest. We also use Teamwork alongside this, so a tighter integration would be a benefit, especially with the time taken to sync. In an ideal world it would be realtime, however we understand that working with a 3rd party, features open to float may be limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great software that I rely on to keep my daily work life running smoothly"
What do you like best about Float.com?

I've always liked using this app. It's super easy to use, I can access it on my phone too. I really like the fact that I can see other team member schedules as well as my own.

It would be amazing if you could build into Float and add the function to do have your own to-do lists. I think it would go great with the scheduling/planning features of the software.

Overall, great software that does the job - but could be more useful and embedded into customers' work life with some added features like to-do lists and other planning functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Sometimes it can be frustrating when I've been double/overbooked for something and I can't reject/appeal/flag the booking in my schedule. It would be nice if I had more flexibility and control over my own schedule without PM's being able to book in whatever they please so that I can raise the double booking without having to reach them via another method of communication or even in person. "Useful Resource Planner"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Easy to set up working hours, teams and to allocate projects and tasks. Very clearly shows pinch points and spare capacity. Functionality to create recurring tasks helps give the work day a more realistic feel and encourages regular use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

If you need to significantly change when you have allocated tasks and/ or whole projects, it can be quite difficult. For these changes a detailed list view of tasks in a project (with date and user) would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Part of my daily routine"
What do you like best about Float.com?

First of all, I really like the clean look of Floats interface. Everything is clearly structured and even with a high amount of people in the schedule section overview is given.

I am a big fan of numbers and statistics so I enjoy the "Reports" page the most. There I can see the current workload of my team and other company members.

Another nice to have feature is the "Projects" page which shows you information like budged and timeframe for each of your projects. To sum it up. Float is an all in one app. filled with all the information you need for resource planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

There isn't really much I could wish for except one thing which isn't critical at all. I would love to have some more detailed customization options for all sections to personalize Float for my needs.

Also, a minor dislike from my side is the font withing the schedule section. Depending on the display variant you use + color of the tasks, it can be a little bit hard to read. But as I mentioned, it's a minor issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
