What do you like best about Float.com?

I like how flexible it is. I can adjust the colors for everything. I love that i can drag events easily, and cut them up. I like that i can cusomize the order of events and coworkers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I dont like that the members on my team cant see other peoples calendars. this would be helpful so they know who is doing what. I wish there was a 'save' buttong for when I adjust who is in one of my 'favorites'. i have to add a new title if i want to re-save Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect tool for planning and time management"

What do you like best about Float.com?

It gives me perfect insight in the tasks I have to do (planned by project managers). Also, as a Lead Designer, it gives me an overview of the tasks other designers are working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

At our company, we work with Google for calendars, e-mail, and documents. The calendar synchronization works but is slow to show changes. This way I cannot rely on the tasks shown in my Google Calendar, and I have to log in to Float to show an up to date planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use - see plan at a glance"

What do you like best about Float.com?

Easy to use - intuitive workspace to get started; I can easily rearrange designers workloads and see where they are over loaded at a glance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I'd like to be able to compress a bit more, or have an overview view; but saying that viewing by projects works well.

I'd like to have a sandbox so I can run scenarios on where to put people without affecting my overall plan Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I looked at a few resource planning apps, this was a good price and really easy to implement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Scheduling Tool"

What do you like best about Float.com?

As a producer, the upside of Float is the ease of scheduling my team's many projects. Float's interface helps our team access and view each other's calendars so we know which resources are available. It's also a very nice interface that is pleasant to look at. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The only thing I dislike about Float is when I try to drag projects and their timelines, the dates end up getting messed up. The drag feature skews the dates sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Filtering and reporting - it is easy to get information about the time spent on a specific project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

When someone enters the name of a project to which he/she is not assigned (because, for example, the project manager forgot to add a given person) he/she does not see that the project exists. It should be possible for such people to ask to join the project team. This generates a lot of unnecessary communication and misunderstandings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Float.com:

If you are looking for a tool to easily measure time spent on projects with a decent reporting system - Float is a good choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I really like the simple UI of float"

What do you like best about Float.com?

The system is easy to use. You have several ways of visualizing projects, people/resources and their allocation as well as budget.

There was a time when one of our team members deleted a schedule and it was gone. Maybe it was too easy to permanently delete stuff. In any case, support helped us retrieve it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Adding and assigning new projects / tasks isn't intuitive. Also wish there were a more streamlined way to assign a project throughout non-consecutive days within one scheduling form than having to click in and out of individual dates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Float.com?

Float has solved issues regarding time allocation and prioritization for me, which is what I really expect from this software. Its vastly better than others because of its ease of use and and flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The way users have to manually log work hours can be polished a bit more, maybe with a prompt to do so, or with some sort of automation. Other than this, there is nothing else to improve on at this point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for your feedback regarding logging hours. In case you haven't tried it, in the 'Log my time' tab there's a button on the right to log all your hours for the week in one go. Hope this saves you some time!
