I wish Datto BCDR did better is simplify its interface a bit, it can feel a little complicated sometimes. The initial setup also takes some effort, so having clearer guidance or easier steps would make things much smoother. I recently did an in-place upgrade from a 6TB to 8TB with the hard disk inside the device (no change in hard disk, just expanding the partition). Originally I had 6TB usable capacity. So the best way to put it is that we barely need to use the functionality of this form of Datto

everything has been running so smoothly that we havent needed to often use the backup restores on this product

we only check our backups daily to ensure everything is still working optimally and even if there is a small discrepency Datto would alert us about anything even if it is a storage space issue which we can immediately remedy since everything gets detailed and sent to our autotask as a ticket

its so easy to setup as long as you have made sure your RMM agent is configured correctly

and it works on everything that you can think of Mac Linux Windows all of it works even from mobile platforms
