Previous Response: Huntress has proven to be an invaluable asset in our cybersecurity arsenal, catching threats that other security software often misses. The Host Isolation feature provides peace of mind, allowing us to address threats at our convenience rather than urgently at inconvenient times. The ability to receive text message alerts ensures that we stay on top of new threats promptly. The auto-remediation feature for low-level threats saves us a tremendous amount of time, making our operations more efficient. We highly recommend Huntress to everyone. We have deployed it across approximately 4500 computers for all our clients, and it integrates seamlessly with our RMM software. It's proactive. It's a real threat happens to show up, it will take action and then notify me of what happened.

There has been a cople of instances of users using VPN and Huntress has suspended their access to email. I only knew about the VPN rule when the problem occured. It's a learning experience. I am new to Huntress, but they explained what to do. The thing that can be frustrating is that when the O365 is suspended, I have to go to MS Entra and reactivate the email. If Huntress automaticall suspends it, why cant I just click on a butting on Huntress to activated? For someone not familiar with all the Microsoft universe, it can be hauting. I like that Huntress Managed EDR can seamlessly integrate with what we already have, such as Microsoft Defender for endpoint. This flexibility allows us to use it alongside our existing security measures, enhancing our overall security framework without the need for major overhauls. Additionally, I really appreciate the ease of deployment. The deployment process is very straightforward, offering scripts and packages with instructions that simplify pushing it out through our RMM. This ease of use translates to less time spent on maintenance and deployment, allowing us to focus on other important tasks. It also provides a central pane of glass that we've been wanting, reducing the need to log in and out of multiple consoles, which streamlines our workflow significantly. Occasionally, there had been issues with the alerting system where alerts would signal that the EDR or Defender wasn't functioning properly, but the alerts did not necessarily specify the client or device involved. Having a top-tier SOC team monitoring our deployment gives us confidence that potential threat actors are being stopped before they can cause harm. Not only do they keep the bad guys out, but they also provide detailed explanations of each detected threat and deliver thorough remediation plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One limitation is the lack of options for creating customized, organization-specific detections. I would appreciate more robust Data Loss Prevention features, particularly for tailoring insider threat detection to our needs. It would be beneficial if the product could be expanded to cover not only initial footholds but also a broader range of potentially malicious activities by insiders or any actions that violate organizational security policies. We recently took Huntress up as our MSP main defensive software. Our Managed customers utilise the EDR and the ITDR. We use the Huntress portal every single day and it's the best software we have used so far.

Rolling out the software was incredibly easy via our RMM software for Windows devices, MACs are a bit more difficult but they always are let's face it. I was able to build a script that installed it in seconds via Ninja RMM.

We have already had several incidents that Huntress has prevented, this includes smaller issues like detecting a spreadsheet containing passwords to more severe issues like Malware being deployed. In both cases, the reports generated by Huntress are easy to read and contain clear instructions on how to remediate the issue.

The EDR works extremely well with Windows Defender and the two products work seamlessly together.

I have recently used the live chat support option and go through to a tech in about 30 seconds, the chap I spoke to knew what he talking about and was able to effectively assist me in my problem.

As stated previously we rolled out our Huntress via RMM. There is a MAC RMM script but this only installs part of the software. You still need to manually allow full disk access for the extension. A small issue but one I hope they will be able to fix someday.

Huntress Managed EDR brings the comprehensive capabilities of a security operations center, providing 24/7 active monitoring on top of a basic antivirus solution. It is compatible with both the free and paid versions of Microsoft Defender. Security signals are collected through an agent installed on Windows machines, and, when Windows Defender is integrated, directly from the Microsoft 365 Security Tenant. There is also a Linux agent currently in preview.

Nothing, but you must consider that Huntress heavily rely on MS Defender.

CSP integration was deprecated without much notice, which created some confusion.

Dashboard can feel basic compared to larger EDR platforms.

the EDR is great because it can detect things that are not really viruses but are often abused, getting notifications when users install remote control apps, or "stores" is a life saver, not to mention the integration with defender can catch things that antivirus would never catch.

the Mac Integration can be painful, but this seems to be more of an issue with MacOs Itself rather than huntress.

And it can be a tad slow on querying the AV status or assisting on resuming the AV when the AV stalls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its ease of deployment is what sold Huntress to us. Huntress was so easy to integrate into our RMM with a prebuilt automation script and clear, concise KB guides on how to configure the agent also made life much easier. In as little as 2 days we had onboarded 850+ machines with agents installed and reporting back to the dashboard.

All of our Service clients are fully enrolled, and the team use the dashboard daily. We have only had to use Customer Support a couple of times but in each case the support level has been fantastic with most issues resolved there and then. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only issue we have run into is not so much Huntress but the MS Defender engines. When removing the old EDR solution Defender struggles / fails to restart all the modules / engines leading to alerts in the control panel. These require manual intervention which is a little time consuming but in no way Huntress' fault. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am thrilled with Huntress Managed EDR and find the support provided by both the product and its customer service to be nothing short of excellent. I handle a variety of clients, each with multiple devices, and Huntress Managed EDR meets our needs effectively. The integration capabilities, particularly with Microsoft 365 Monitoring, Endpoint detection, and the exceptional SOC support, are standout features that elevate the user experience to an impressive level of excellence. Their SOC support is immaculate, always ready to assist with any critical investigations or escalations, providing a sense of security and trust. I appreciate the strong business and customer support, which consistently exceeds expectations. The inclusion of SIEM logging is a major highlight that I was genuinely excited about, and the integrations Huntress supports are incredibly useful.
