  ### 35. Testing Sophos Endpoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

What I like best about Sophos Endpoint is its powerful combination of deep learning AI, ransomware rollback via CryptoGuard, and advanced exploit prevention—all managed through a clean, cloud-based dashboard. It doesn’t just rely on traditional signature detection but actively blocks threats before they execute, making it especially effective against zero-day attacks and ransomware. The ability to roll back encrypted files and get clear, detailed threat insights through the central console gives a strong sense of control and visibility over endpoint security.

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

What I dislike about Sophos Endpoint is that it can be resource-intensive on lower-end machines, occasionally leading to performance slowdowns during scans or heavy activity. The interface, while generally clean, can feel overwhelming for newcomers due to the depth of features and settings. Additionally, some users report delayed updates or inconsistent behavior in syncing policies across devices, and troubleshooting issues sometimes requires navigating complex logs or waiting for support, which can be time-consuming in urgent situations.

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sophos Endpoint is solving critical problems like ransomware attacks, zero-day threats, and unauthorized exploit attempts by using advanced AI-driven threat detection and proactive prevention tools. It helps secure endpoints before threats can execute, significantly reducing the risk of data breaches or system downtime. Features like real-time monitoring, ransomware rollback, and detailed threat insights give me greater confidence in my network’s security, streamline incident response, and ultimately save time and resources that would otherwise be spent recovering from attacks or managing fragmented security tools.

  ### 36. A next-generation endpoint security solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boyd K. | Manager ICT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

Its AI-powered malware detection that is light on computer resources and cloud-based management features.

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

It is difficult to control the scheduled scans once they start. At time as administrators we would like to pause a scan on a computer so that certain urgent process can finish

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past we were exposed a lot to zero-day threats but at the moment Sophos feature to use deep learning has cut off that. Also in the past uses had the ability to uninstall an antivirus but with Sophos only when administrator disables tamper protection can this be achieved. This has allowed us to have more control of end points even if they are off the network.

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Readily available interface for administration and gives reliable detectability to unwanted objects in a timely manner.

  ### 41. Sophos Endpoint: Key Part of your Overall Sophos Security Strategy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron L. | IT Infrastructure SysAdmin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

This is a key part of our security initiative. Couple this with a Sophos Firewall and Sophos Central (included). If you want to take this setup to the next level I highly suggest upgrading to Sophos Managed Threat Response for that wholistic approach to securing your environment. You get great value from the product and I strongly encourage all SMB's to look at a Firewall + Endpoint + MTR solution.

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

There is nothing to dislike. It works well and even for more complex environments with Non-Persistent VDI desktops the endpoint software handles that well.

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a small IT team. This provides us along without Sophos Firewalls a very solid security platform.

  ### 42. Good change

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | IT Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

Sophos Endpoint is very good at hunting threats and then automatically quarantiniing them

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

Sometimes it;s a bit too sensitive, and you have to keep adjusting the exceptions so it doesn't block legitimate programs

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly from malware and ransomware attacks, or system vulnerabilities, and even data breaches

  ### 43. Powerful endpoint management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph A. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

The most helpful part of the next gen endpoint is beyond AV scanning and ransomware protection it also lets us manage other aspects such as web browsing protection (allowed and blocked sites by content or URL), Peripheral devices (USB drives etc), encryption keys and allowed software.

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

Sometimes the client can get a little heavy handed with resources on the devices. This may be after an update. Also new features are rolled out and automatically turned on sometimes which could potentially cause an issue.

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to manage our endpoints by applying cybersecurity policies and standrds we put in place. For example, not allowing unauthorized USB drives to be accessed. It also helps protect us against ransomware.

  ### 44. Centralized Management for distributed endpoints with ease of detection/remediation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kapil K. | Senior Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

> Views in dashboards.
> Incident handling is fun as we can drill down to processes and executables in a granular function. It's easy to draw a visualisation of what happened at a specific point in time.

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

> At times, for older operating systems, there are some issues when new updates are pushed.
> Should be more lightweight for very critical system.
> Need more training from the vendor or retailer.

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

> Dashboard views are very critical for our incident analysis. Other vendor lacks or have many features in different places. Sophos have intelligently put its views on endpoint at one place so its easy to browse and detect without much in-depth training.
> EDR/XDR capabilities are unique, and per licence cost is less than other competitive vendors.

  ### 45. Sophos Intercept X Next-Gen Endpoint: a robust protection against cyber threats.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristian C. | Administrador, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

What I like most about Sophos Intercept X: Next-Gen Endpoint is its ability to detect and neutralize cyber threats proactively, including both known and new or unknown ones. It uses artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to provide solid and adaptable protection against a wide range of threats, which provides invaluable peace of mind in a constantly evolving security environment.

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

One aspect to improve in Sophos Intercept X: Next-Gen Endpoint is the initial learning curve due to the complexity of its interface and options, which can be overwhelming for some less technical users. Simplifying the user experience and offering a clearer guide for initial setup could facilitate the adoption of the solution.

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sophos Intercept X: Next-Gen Endpoint presents challenges in terms of the initial learning curve and the complexity of its interface for some less technical users. However, this can also offer benefits by providing a wide range of configuration options and advanced features for those seeking more personalized and robust protection against cyber threats.

  ### 46. Sleep peacefully 24 hours a day!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Sophos Endpoint?**

Regarding other options, the Sophos market has been the product that has convinced us the most. Besides having many different features, the ones that stand out the most in our opinion are the ease of the centralized console to manage all the devices from there. Being a tool we use every day, we needed something with capacity, and for now, Sophos is fulfilling that with flying colors. On the other hand, since we implemented the Endpoint product, our devices have correctly blocked several attempts, so we are very happy.
The implementation of the product is simple and fast, and the support helps you with whatever is needed (they are very kind and professional). As for the integration of the product in the company, we have adapted quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sophos Endpoint?**

As the main disadvantage, I would point out that the Endpoint consumes quite a lot of resources, and before implementing the equipment, it should first be checked if the equipment will be able to handle the load during scanning times. Another disadvantage would be the cost; however, it more than compensates for this with the variety of options it has and how effective it is being.

**What problems is Sophos Endpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Given the recent increase in cyberattacks, we required a more powerful Endpoint, and after evaluating the various options in the market, we decided that the business solution that best suited our problems was Sophos. Lately, the vast majority of issues have dissipated thanks to the use of this product.
