When I open a task to update it, it takes a moment longer to load before I can type anything. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes notifications come in groups instead of one by one. One area I think could be improved is the employee profile. Right now, it only allows the employer to make updates; however, I believe it would be helpful—especially for smaller companies like the one I work for—to allow employees to update their own profiles as well.

Prior to using Gusto it was quite difficult to change our working hours if we forgot to login or log out. I have had no issues with RUN leaving no complaints. My only criticism would be sometimes having confusion on the tax end but given that our company works out of multiple states and has a complicated set up, it's really not much of a complaint. The only downsides about Xero is that the the user interface is a little clunky, not as sleek. There also could be more tutorials or "help" features to make onboarding and getting used to the program easier. Though of course I haven't consulted much of the customer support, so I'm sure they would be more than happy to help me walk through any issues or questions I have! Xero takes so much of the stress of bookkeeping and accounting for sole proprietors away! Before Xero, I was up to my neck in spreadsheets and computer folders keeping track of my income, who I was paid by, what expenses I had made, etc. Now it's all automatically accumulated in my Xero dashboard, where I know that - with the press of a few "reconcile" buttons, I can easily keep my records clean. I cannot wait for tax time next year, when I'll just be able to run a few reports and input data, rather than spending hours calculating expenses and write-offs! I'm really frustrated with Paycom because it creates more problems than it solves. The system is buggy and things break randomly, so I'm always dealing with unexpected issues when staff come to me with problems. For instance, changes in employee profiles aren't automatically updated as you'd expect, leading to tons of extra work like manual corrections and internal audits. There's no test environment either, and it feels like features that could be really helpful are added too late. Plus, their support isn't great. I feel like we're paying a lot just to be part of their user experience team. It also doesn't integrate with any other tools, which is another big downside. Setting it up was a nightmare, especially since Paycom doesn't offer any on-site support to help you understand the system. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Honestly, Paycom creates problems for me. It leads to random issues that I only discover when they occur, causing additional work like audits and communication with vendors. The expenses section is a bit tedious. I can't submit multiple expenses at once and add details later; I have to upload a photo one at a time. Adding details to expenses or just adding receipts can be difficult, especially since it can reset to the top, making it time-consuming if I have a lot of expenses. In the app, when trying to book multi-city flights, I can't pick one flight and adjust the others from there like I can on desktop. I have a newer iPhone with the latest software. This flags as an issue for my manager to have to review each month, and this takes time out of our day.
