The ease of implementation was a major highlight, especially with the support of our Implementation Manager, Stacy Oh, who kept everything organized, on track, and easy to navigate throughout the transition.

What do you like best about Connecteam?

I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist and also manage a small homeopathy clinic. What I like most about Connecteam is that it keeps both patient-related work and team coordination in one place. I can clearly see which tasks are open and which are completed, so nothing gets missed. I use it to track diet planning work, review pending cases, and manage follow-ups. At the same time, I can assign work to staff members and see who is handling what. This makes managing a small team much less stressful during busy clinic hours.

I also like that scheduling, time tracking, and communication are available inside the same system. It helps me manage staff timing, check availability, and keep updates in one place instead of calling or messaging everyone separately.

It was easy to start using and did not require complicated setup. I use it regularly, and it fits well into my daily clinic workflow without making things complicated.

When I open a task to update it, it takes a moment longer to load before I can type anything. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes notifications come in groups instead of one by one. In my daily clinic work, there are many small things happening together like patient follow-ups, diet plan work, and staff coordination. It is easy for small tasks to get delayed when the day gets busy. Sometimes I had to check different places just to see what was pending.

What do you like best about BambooHR?

I find that BambooHR really helps us connect with people in the organization, being a good portal to connect with my managers and peers. The leave management system is the best feature for me because it's so easy to apply for a leave. I appreciate not having to manually go to managers, which saves time, as I can apply online and have a good management portal to see all my current leaves, upcoming holidays, and everything else. I also found the onboarding process via BambooHR straightforward, as I was given a set of questions and easily answered them, with details still being reflected in my profile. What do you like best about Gusto?

I love that I can go in and edit my hours. I frequently forget to either login or log out and this allows me to post accurate hours for my company without the need to bother our human resources department. I love that I can go on any time and see my past hours worked, my past paycheck details, and my cumulative earnings. I love that there is a way to track paid time off, even though my company doesn't use this, if I were an employer I think this would be a great benefit to me. Gusto also has a great history of my time with my company. Sometimes when completing a variety of personal forms for various reasons, I need to know when my employment started. I can easily get that information from Gusto with a click of a button. Also, when my employer needs updated information about me it is so easy to jump into Gusto and quickly update the information online. Gusto takes me seconds in some cases and on a few minutes in others where it might take 30-60 minutes in other formats! I am forever grateful that my company uses Gusto, making my life as a employee so much easier. Everything moves so quickly on Gusto. Updates happen right away and I can click through multiple areas with ease if needed when completing payroll or forms. Our company has been with Gusto for several years. What do you dislike about Gusto?

One area I think could be improved is the employee profile. Right now, it only allows the employer to make updates; however, I believe it would be helpful—especially for smaller companies like the one I work for—to allow employees to update their own profiles as well.

Prior to using Gusto it was quite difficult to change our working hours if we forgot to login or log out. I love the ease of the system. Onboarding a new employee, asking questions about tax notices, payroll, reports, and pretty much everything in the ADP portal is user friendly. The best part is that when there is a question, the chat is always available and the person on the other end is a real person, not an automated response so you get real answers, real help. What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

I have had no issues with RUN leaving no complaints. My only criticism would be sometimes having confusion on the tax end but given that our company works out of multiple states and has a complicated set up, it's really not much of a complaint. What do you like best about Xero?

I like that it’s so user-friendly once you get the hang of it, and that it helps non-accounting-savvy people (like me) easily keep track of their books and finances. Especially for a sole proprietor like myself, it makes it so easy to implement and integrate into my weekly and daily business routines. Each week, 1-2 times per week, I log into Xero, reconcile all the transactions in my accounts and cards, and can rest easy knowing that my records are done, clean, and accurate! What do you dislike about Xero?

The only downsides about Xero is that the the user interface is a little clunky, not as sleek. There also could be more tutorials or "help" features to make onboarding and getting used to the program easier. Though of course I haven't consulted much of the customer support, so I'm sure they would be more than happy to help me walk through any issues or questions I have! What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Xero takes so much of the stress of bookkeeping and accounting for sole proprietors away! Before Xero, I was up to my neck in spreadsheets and computer folders keeping track of my income, who I was paid by, what expenses I had made, etc. Now it's all automatically accumulated in my Xero dashboard, where I know that - with the press of a few "reconcile" buttons, I can easily keep my records clean. I cannot wait for tax time next year, when I'll just be able to run a few reports and input data, rather than spending hours calculating expenses and write-offs! What do you dislike about Paycom?

I'm really frustrated with Paycom because it creates more problems than it solves. The system is buggy and things break randomly, so I'm always dealing with unexpected issues when staff come to me with problems. For instance, changes in employee profiles aren't automatically updated as you'd expect, leading to tons of extra work like manual corrections and internal audits. There's no test environment either, and it feels like features that could be really helpful are added too late. Plus, their support isn't great. I feel like we're paying a lot just to be part of their user experience team. It also doesn't integrate with any other tools, which is another big downside. Setting it up was a nightmare, especially since Paycom doesn't offer any on-site support to help you understand the system. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I love the support - truly top tier. Very quick, and when not quick it's because the support team is doing what they can to resolve items quickly. They're easy to work with. I like the app as well for the most part. I think it has a pretty friendly interface, easy to filter options for hotels and rentals especially. The expenses section is a bit tedious. I can't submit multiple expenses at once and add details later; I have to upload a photo one at a time. Adding details to expenses or just adding receipts can be difficult, especially since it can reset to the top, making it time-consuming if I have a lot of expenses. In the app, when trying to book multi-city flights, I can't pick one flight and adjust the others from there like I can on desktop. I have a newer iPhone with the latest software. We are in Sage InTacct on a daily bases using the Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Reporting features. I love the interactive reporting that gives me real time results if I get my information in there. With the API tools we are easily able to get transactions transferred from our policy processing platform to InTacct. We worked with a 3rd party consultant to get the API tools even more refined to get the transactions in there exactly how we wanted them. Sage InTacct is a little large for all our uses. I adopted this system from my predecessor and I was not really trained in the full functionality of the tool. With our third party adoption I'm also not able to access the community forum to get information from the community, which can be a little frustrating at time. The best part of HROne is that it’s less costly and still provides all the features that other tools charge more for. This tool helps keep my organisation’s HR processes smooth. I’m currently using it, and one of the best things is that the team always follows trends. For example, when the India T20 World Cup was happening, they created a scorecard where you could play and get some rewards. This kind of activity makes employees feel more comfortable and motivated. I like that for mileage expense reports, that a map is included to set start and end points. It makes the maths very easy.

When I don't want to claim for the entirety of my mileage, perhaps because some of the trip was for my commute or personal use, i will manually reduce the miles in the claim. This flags as an issue for my manager to have to review each month, and this takes time out of our day. I wish there was a way for me to split the claim so that even if I set the start and end point of a trip, that I can decide how much of that drive I am claiming for. What do you like best about SAP Concur?

It offers extensive capabilities for managing business expenses overall. I like that I can handle both personal and team expenses in the same app, and that business travel can also be booked and managed there, including flights and accommodation. The UI is intuitive and easy to navigate, but it still feels a bit bare-bones. The lack of basic automation is frustrating and creates significant administrative overhead, which feels like an odd gap given the breadth of integrations available. What do you like best about NetSuite?

What I like most about NetSuite is that it brings everything together in one place. Rather than juggling separate tools for accounting, inventory, CRM, and reporting, it all runs within a single system. That makes day-to-day work smoother and saves a lot of time.

Another standout for me is the real-time visibility. I can quickly check financials, track orders, or review performance without having to wait for reports to be generated, which makes it easier to make faster, more informed decisions.

I also appreciate how customizable it is. As business needs change, you can adjust workflows, dashboards, and reports without having to switch to a completely different system. What do you dislike about NetSuite?

One thing I don’t like about NetSuite is that it can feel pretty complex, especially for new users. The interface isn’t always very intuitive, so it takes a while to get comfortable and really understand how everything works.

Another drawback is the cost. For smaller businesses, it can be quite expensive—not only the subscription, but also the implementation and customization. It’s simply not always the most budget-friendly option.

I’ve also found that some customizations and reports can be tricky to set up without technical help. At times you need external support or a specialist, which can slow progress and make changes take longer than expected.

One of the biggest problems NetSuite solves for me is reporting and overall data visibility. Before, pulling reports was time-consuming, and the information I needed was often scattered across different systems or buried in spreadsheets. Because of that, it was difficult to get a clear, real-time view of how the business was performing.

With NetSuite, reporting feels much more streamlined. I can generate real-time reports whenever I need them, without having to wait on someone else or manually compile data from multiple places. The dashboards are especially useful because they provide a quick snapshot of key metrics all in one place.

It also makes customization easier. I can tailor reports to specific requirements, which helps me get more meaningful insights rather than just generic data. This has improved decision-making, since I can rely on information that’s accurate and up to date.

What do you like best about Expensify?

I really appreciate the ease of use with Expensify. It makes managing my receipts much easier compared to snapping pictures and emailing them around to different people. Everything gets submitted in one app; I just snap a picture, and it sends the information to the right person. This process is smooth and efficient, and the ability to handle everything within the app helps keep my workflow uninterrupted. It's handy that I can quickly open the app on my phone, snap a receipt, and have it handled instantly, improving my workflow significantly. Additionally, I like that the app gives me reminders if I forget to submit a receipt, which has helped improve our whole accounting process. Switching to Expensify has made getting things done much faster for both me and our accounting department. What do you like best about Acumatica?

We’ve had a largely positive experience with Acumatica. The platform is reasonably priced, especially given the breadth of functionality it offers. It’s also highly customizable and scalable, which has allowed it to fit the specific needs of our industry and continue to adapt as our organization grows.

A major advantage for our team has been how well Acumatica integrates with Excel and Velixo. Being able to import and export data easily, build reports, and work within a familiar Excel environment has made our financial reporting and analysis much more efficient.

We’ve also found the support team to be responsive and helpful, which matters a lot when implementing new workflows or refining existing ones in a system as robust as an ERP.

One limitation is that not all Latin American countries are supported. For example, Peru isn’t currently included, even though there are employees based there.
