Gusto is solving the headache of payroll and HR by automating things that are easy to mess up, like calculating pay, handling direct deposit, tracking hours, and filing payroll taxes. It also keeps important employee info in one place (pay stubs, tax forms like W-2/1099, onboarding documents), so you don’t have to chase paperwork or wonder if something was submitted correctly.

For me, that benefits me because I get paid accurately and on time, I can quickly check my paystubs and tax documents whenever I need them, and it makes time tracking and payroll much more straightforward, less confusion, fewer mistakes, and less back-and-forth with managers. What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

I use ADP at least once a week to run our payroll, and I also rely on it to learn what I need to know to stay compliant with state and federal laws.

The dashboard is very user-friendly, and it’s easy to navigate and find the exact section I’m looking for without any hassle.

Customer service is consistently available by phone or chat, and the reporting tools are very robust. I’m also able to create custom reports easily when I need something more specific.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

Sending out 1099's to our subcontractors was confusing to me. I was unable to enter in every subs payment that we made to them every week and instead, I decided to wait until the end of the year to enter the total year's pay for each sub, but I was unable to do that with ADP. I originally missed the Chrome plugin, but after continued use I don’t really need it anymore. The travel reimbursement flow is incredibly easy, and I recently used the travel extension to book a flight, which was seamless and intuitive. This is the first time that I get paid over a third party platform for my interpreting services, instead of a direct deposit through my bank account. Ive found Deel a very easy and friendly platform that gives you automatic customer support through his AI immediate response. I started using it daily to check all the features available and became pretty much very knowledgeable about it. At first I have send the money through a direct deposit, but for what I saw, it is very easy to acces with different pay methods to whitdrawal my payments. Basically, at first I was scared because it is the first time I have to use a third party platform to get paid. I thought my money was gone because it did not appear immediately on my bank account. The issue of being paid or not and have to be checking your mobile bank app to check if it was received or not. I like how easy it is to maneuver through the application. The product is intuitive and simple for managers and leaders to drill into the application to find their own answers. The application has allowed us to be almost entirely paperless and simplifies closing the books on a monthly basis. In addition by granting our auditors read only access to the application our audit has become more efficient and less burdensome for staff as auditors can drill and pull supporting documents themselves cutting down on requests for additional supporting documents. Custom report writing is a bit cumbersome and takes some learning especially when it comes to understanding reporting groups. When adding new accounts the user needs to be aware that the new account may not be properly mapped to one of the groups and could therefore put reports out of balance. Allows front line staff to enter purchasing requests that are approved by management cutting down on mistakes and automating the workflow for purchasing. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I really appreciate that Acumatica supports our entire business from lead management to sales orders and fulfillment. I find it flexible, easy to use, yet operationally robust and functional. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The richness of the product requires more serious support from Acumatica that we seem to have difficulty accessing, at times. We currently use Acumatica as our VAR, and they have structural issues that have led to a negative experience. The transition from Sage 100 was initially painful, taking 3 years to convert. What do you like best about Sage Expense Management?

I use Fyle through my company, and it has improved our credit card reconciliation process more than I could ever hope. As someone working on tech, a lot of the charges on my credit card are recurring, and Fyle makes it easy to set those up. I also really appreciate the notifications that are sent to my phone when a new charge comes in.

I tend to use my desktop computer when using Fyle, but my coworkers travel frequently and are able to use the app and their phone when they are on the road. It really is the best of all worlds for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Expense Management?

It allows our team to reconcile our purchases without sending them to our finance director. It empowers all employees to track their purchases, and it can be used on multiple devices, which is great for team members that stay in the office and team members that travel. What do you like best about Emburse Expense Enterprise (formerly Chrome River Expense)?

The most helpful aspect of Emburse Expense has to be the easy-to-use categorization features, that enable you to easily identify areas of expenses incurred, document them quickly, and see your overall expense report immediately, as you build it. The UI is extremely easy to use and intuitive, even for first time users, and the time it takes to document a full expense report is definitely reduced from previous expense reporting tools that we've had. What do you dislike about Emburse Expense Enterprise (formerly Chrome River Expense)?

Although handled on an organization-by-organization basis, the categorization options can often seem to roll over each other and without clear examples or documented rules for each category, selecting the right one can cause a negative experience. What problems is Emburse Expense Enterprise (formerly Chrome River Expense) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previous expense tracking tools we used acted more like spreadsheets and outlined, line by line, whatever you entered. They offered selections for things like expense categories, dates, etc. but they did not contain the easy-to-use UI of Emburse Expense, and they also did not offer the incredibly easy-to-upload receipt tracking feature. What do you like best about Payhawk?

I really like Payhawk’s easy-to-use interface and the automations that take care of many manual tasks. Their customer support is excellent-someone’s always available to help. Receipt Sync Delays: Sometimes receipts emailed to Payhawk don’t sync instantly or get missed, leading to manual follow-ups.

What problems is Payhawk solving and how is that benefiting you?

Payhawk has significantly streamlined our expense and invoice processing at Avado. It’s taken over many of the manual tasks we used to handle on Kloo like receipt collection, matching, and approvals; which has been a huge relief for the Accounts team. The automations save time, reduce errors, and give us much better visibility into company spending. Month-end processing is faster now, and the customer support has been incredibly responsive whenever we’ve needed help. It’s made a real difference to our day-to-day finance operations.
