What do you like best about Rippling?

It supports payroll for a global workforce, which makes it easier to manage employees and pay across different locations. The onboarding process is poorly designed and needlessly long so what could be a 3-5 min each employee setup takes 10-15 min each employee. Pricing is awful and (at-least from our rep experience) misleading with contractual gotchas like auto renewing certain parts for a 1 year term even if you stated you want to cancel the full service. Performance is subpar with consistent employee account issues such as not being able to transfer their own available balances and just saying contact support who does not give answers other than automated Ai response with help article links. Even urgent issues such as "multiple employees are not able to get their wages and error says something went wrong contact support" are not handled with a timeline, urgency, or visibility but the money deducted to make those payments comes out days in advanced or you get urgent payroll emails saying they wont process. Integrations with google workspace was poor and disconnected promptly due to trust issue with Rippling. the UI is terribly designed with no clear intuitive navigation or usability. The "AI" is worthless and would be the same performance as using Apple's Siri if you have a lisp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rippling?

What problems is Employment Hero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before implementing Employment Hero, many of our HR processes were manual or spread across multiple systems, which created inefficiencies and increased administrative effort. Employment Hero has helped centralise employee records, onboarding, compliance, performance management and HR documentation into a single platform, giving employees and managers easy access to the information they need.

The biggest benefit has been reducing manual administration and improving process consistency. Tasks such as onboarding, policy acknowledgements, development discussions and document management are now more streamlined and easier to track. The self-service functionality has also increased employee ownership of personal information and routine HR requests, freeing up time for more strategic people initiatives.

What do you like best about Shopify POS?

I really like the ability to take in person orders from the palm of my hand via an iPad or iPhone with the Shopify POS app. If you use a newer iPhone you can even take tap to pay payments with your phone without the need for any extra hardware. I can customize the POS screen fully with discounts, custom tiles, shipping options, and more. Compared to traditional POS systems with clunky hardware this is incredible. We use Shopify POS across multiple iPads when we go to trade shows. We can use it with wifi, starlink, or offline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shopify POS?

There are two things that cause us issues with Shopify POS. First, if you get logged out of your Shopify account while at a show it can be difficult to get logged back in quickly especially if you have 2FA enabled, like we do. I understand the security aspect, but we need access in a hurry and never know if/when we will get logged out by the system. Second, setting orders to ship instead of in person sales can be tricky. What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Shopify POS is solving the issue of making in person sales at trade shows and events that our company attends. We attend many off-road, motocross, racing, and remote events that don't really have a place to set up a traditional computer for sales. Our team can easily walk around with an iPad or phone and complete transactions from anywhere without the need to sit down at a desk. What do you like best about Homebase?

Labor Management and Team Communication were the two main things that drew me to Homebase. I was looking for tools to help improve efficiency in these areas, especially when building out my teams from scratch. This tool also had to solve the privacy issue that plagued basic group chats, where employees could communicate, but only if they shared their personal phone numbers. This created issues with former employees, as well as employees who felt uncomfortable sharing that information. What I didn't expect to find was a tool that solve both issues so well. In Homebase I found a gorgeous scheduling interface that not only helps manage labor efficiently, but can also streamline shift swaps and PTO notification and planning. Beyond that, their team communication function now allows employees to communicate across functions and shifts without having to share personal information. When an employee is terminated, I am able to immediately sever their ability to communicate, without worrying about them spiking the chat or possessing personal information of current employees. What do you dislike about Homebase?

The main downside of Homebase in my case, may be a boon to others. When my employees log in to they app there is a constant request to clock-in at the top of their screen. While this feature is more geared towards mom-and-pop shops or maybe a restaurant/bar-like situation, it is not a feature I currently use (my P&C department already has a 3rd party app for this). However, this is no option to remove this and I am regularly pinged by new employees who think this is how they clock in, only for me to receive an email stating that someone on my team wants me to opt-in to this feature. What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?

Labor Management: The simple and intuitive (and beautiful) scheduling interface makes scheduling staff a breeze. I am able to see and plan for gaps at glance. My team is able to view their schedules from their phones and formally swap shifts with ease as well. All-in-all this makes one of the more tedious parts of team management something almost enjoyable.

Team Communication: Previously my teams would create group chats to talk amongst themselves. This created privacy issues when it came to unwanted attention outside of work, or former employees spiking the chat. This is completely solved using Homebase's chat function. Only I can see personal information and have the ability to immediately terminate this at the conclusion of an employees tenure. There is also an added benefit of not only being able to communicate announcements across the entire team, but also being able to track who has read announcements. I was disappointed to find that when I went to look art prior month's pay, it still displayed the amount of hours of the current month. That was initially confusing.

As I stated before, what bothers me the most is that i am unable to label each line in some way. I would be delighted if I were able to put two initials to designate with whom I had spent that hour. What do you like best about KORONA POS?

Korona is a flexible POS software with all of the features that I need in order to track inventory, sell products easily, and keep track of my business. It's not built for book sales, but the support team helped me to get everything up and running and customized for my particular needs. It's far more affordable than the book-specific POS systems, and especially for a small store starting out, it has been a great fit. I've been able to figure out how to do most things on the platform on my own, new employees catch on to how to do things easily, and when I don't know how to do something, the support team is amazing and always helpful. What do you dislike about KORONA POS?

There are a couple of reports that I have to merge together in a spreadsheet in order to get the information I need for weekly reporting. just based on my specific use case. I wish there was a little more flexibility in bringing the fields I wanted into a report. It would also be amazing to someday have an integration with Edelweiss so that we don't have to input every book manually. I don't have dedicated tech support as a small business, and when I can't figure out how to implement software or tools it can be frustrating. Korona removes that issue when it comes to anything related to my POS - they've even helped me to troubleshoot my label and receipt printers, which I never would have figured out on my own! What do you like best about RedeApp?

I like the peace of mind that comes with using RedeApp at my organization. We can be sure that all messages (especially those pertaining to the youth in our care) are secure and HIPAA-compliant. Our team uses Redeapp daily to send organization-wide announcements, one-on-one communications, and messages within departments. We're starting to implement the Communities feature, which allows users to opt-in to certain interest groups for targeted updates. The customer support with Redeapp has always been fantastic, too. What do you dislike about RedeApp?

As the organization's Communications Manager, I primarily use RedeApp to send organization-wide messages from my desktop computer. I will say that the user interface on the desktop version is pretty lackluster and could be more visually appealing. I also dislike how there's an unseen timer that logs you out of the platform after a period of inactivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RedeApp solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Simple, User-Friendly Interface for Time-Off Requests and Weekly Timecards”
What do you like best about Deputy?

I like how simple the interface is for not only the admin / managers but also for the users, the employees. Not only are the employees able to put their time-off requests in Deputy, but they're also able to view their weekly timecards as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deputy?

Given the amount of employees that we have nationwide, it would've been great if the system was able to recognize the different states that the employees were in and that we would be able to assign managers per employees rather than create locations. We have over 20 locations in our system because we have managers that oversee different timezones, one that has every timezone, so he has multiple locations that he has to view. Because the Gusto integration seem to have issues though, we have to manually set-up accounts which is preferred as previously, it would automatically send invitations to personal emails that were in Gusto even when they haven't fully started. The downside also is that employees aren't able to see their time-off request balance and so they often put in requests when they have 0 hours pending for usage. What problems is Deputy solving and how is that benefiting you?

The issue that we had previously was the fact that Gusto wasn't able to provide us with a timekeeping system that supported overnight shift. Deputy had played a huge part in decreasing the amount of time that is spent calculating the hours that each employee who work overnight has. I also really like how the Meal Break Premium is directly connected to the attestation question. I will say that, I wished that it would also track when the lunch was taken to ensure that even if someone answers 'yes' to the attestation question, it's guaranteed that we're remaining compliant with the state laws when applicable (most importantly CA and NY) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
