## About KORONA POS
Developed by COMBASE, KORONA POS is a cloud-based point of sale built for retailers, quick-service dining, and ticketing businesses. It was built to help businesses automate operations, gain insight into performance, and effectively scale. KORONA POS software comes with a user-friendly and fully customizable front-end cashier system. Users can create unique button layouts, change prices and buttons, add images and descriptions, set different user permissions, add automated prompts, and adjust the customer-facing screen with different messaging, loyalty logins, or advertising. The back-end of KORONA POS, called KORONA Studio, offers merchants vast inventory management features, custom sales reporting and KPI metrics, employee management, vendor relations, gift card management, promotions, ticketing features, loss prevention features, self-checkout solutions, RFID technology, and modern payment options. It&#39;s also fully integrated with card processing, eCommerce, accounting, payroll and scheduling apps, and CRM systems and contains an open API through which any merchant or partner can build any integration to KORONA POS. KORONA POS is a subscription-based cloud POS system. Each account is billed by the number of terminals and includes automated updates, full customer support, and no additional fees. The KORONA POS cloud is updated quarterly with new features and integrations. Merchants can also use existing hardware solutions that run on Windows or Linux operating systems. Customer support is included in every subscription and is reachable promptly by phone, chat, and email, and emergency phone support is available 24/7. **What do you like best about KORONA POS?**

I like KORONA POS because it offers real-time inventory tracking, detailed reports, and stable performance. It's easy to use, customizable, and works reliably without the need for long-term contracts. I also enjoy its responsive customer support, flexible integrations, offline mode reliability, and the ability to manage multiple stores from one dashboard.

**What do you dislike about KORONA POS?**

The interface could be more modern, reporting customization is somewhat limited, and advanced features can take time to learn for new users. Some workflows could be streamlined to reduce clicks, integrations with third-party apps could be expanded, and more built-in templates or guided setup would help new users get started faster.

**What problems is KORONA POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use KORONA POS to streamline sales, inventory, and customer tracking. It speeds up checkout, reduces inventory errors, and provides real-time transaction management and reporting, which is ideal for small retail and service businesses.

**What do you like best about KORONA POS?**

What I like best about KRONOS POS is that it has no credit card processing fees, offers advanced inventory management, provides transparent pricing, and includes offline functionality.

**What do you dislike about KORONA POS?**

What I dislike about KRONOS POS is its steep learning curve, the lack of a built-in credit card processor, limited customization and integration options, and occasional technical glitches that can lead to sluggish performance.

**What problems is KORONA POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

KORONOS POS has been helping me address stockouts, unpredictable fees, and slow checkout speeds. It includes automated reordering, lets me choose the most affordable processor options, and is designed for fast-paced checkout environments.

**What do you like best about KORONA POS?**

Support was responsive and usually quick to reply. The software has a lot of features on paper and the initial sales process was smooth.

**What do you dislike about KORONA POS?**

The system was unreliable when deployed—WiFi connectivity issues, unresponsive screen elements, and key functions failing on launch day. While support was responsive, they rarely explained how to fix problems—only did it for me—which left us dependent on them for every issue. I made it clear in the sales process we couldn’t connected via Ethernet and an wifi adapter was not included initially. After receiving the required WiFi adapter more than a month after the hardware, we couldn’t properly test within the return window. Despite never using the system in production, they refused a return.

EDIT: The employee who responded to my review was never in contact with me at all throughout the entire process. They responded with blatant lies and false assumptions, like that I never tested the Wi-Fi in store or that the machine was sitting in my home for 4 months. This isn’t true. The Wi-Fi worked when tested in store, but the POS would restarted and not recognize the Wi-Fi dongle, so I’d have to unplug the Wi-Fi dongle, restart the pos, and then set it up again every time. This is a huge pain for any employee to deal with and incredibly unreliable. The 30 day return policy is put in place to allow customer ample time to set up the system. This isn’t even time for a small business that also has other priorities besides just setting up a new POS system. Couldn’t recommend this POS less. I have a background in computer science and the technology they are using is ancient, and their API is one of the most poorly set up database systems I’ve ever seen in my experience. They also consistently had menus appear in German because their parent company is based in Germany. This is just all around an unacceptable company and I will steer everyone I know away from them especially because of how they handled our interactions and the blatant disrespect and lies in their response to my review. 

**What problems is KORONA POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While it aims to provide a customizable POS system for retail and hospitality, we weren’t able to benefit from it due to persistent hardware and connectivity issues. The system never became usable in our live environment, so unfortunately, we saw no tangible benefits

**Official Response from Michael Chalberg:**

> This customer did not mention in the sales process that they would be using WiFi in their live environment. Once they informed us of that (after receiving their POS), we provided them with a WiFi dongle, which they never tested on site. They had the equipment set up at their home for 4 months, and everything was working well other than what appeared to be a very small unresponsive area in the top middle of their touch screen. We offered to fix the issue through a standard RMA and the customer declined.

When the customer eventually took the POS on site, they could not get the POS connected to their WiFi network. They did not seek assistance from our support team to get it connected and rebuffed our attempts to get it sorted, despite connectivity problems not being an issue with the POS and typically quite simple to fix. It was after this point that they requested a full refund. We have a 30-day return policy on hardware and do not believe their circumstances warrant extending the return policy.

We appreciate the kind words about our support team, and we'd still like the opportunity to help you troubleshoot your WiFi network, as we were never given the chance.

**What do you like best about KORONA POS?**

Although I'm not currently using KORONA POS, I’ve spent a lot of time researching options for our next point-of-sale system, and KORONA continues to stand out. What really caught my attention is how customizable it seems, along with the consistent praise for their responsive customer support. It feels like a system built to grow with your business, not just serve it temporarily.

**What do you dislike about KORONA POS?**

As someone evaluating from the outside, the only hesitation is the learning curve some users mentioned, especially around reporting features. But honestly, I’d rather have a robust tool that takes a bit of effort to master than something too basic.

**What problems is KORONA POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While I haven’t onboarded it yet, I believe KORONA POS could drastically reduce our manual inventory headaches and streamline training for our seasonal staff. It’s clear from reviews that it can simplify operations without compromising on advanced features.

**What do you like best about KORONA POS?**

We switched over from an older POS to Korona almost 5 years ago. The system is great! Fast, efficient, customizable, and has great reporting tools as well! We use it everyday, with only minor issues here and there. A quick call to the support staff will always fix it, they are are very friendly and based in the USA!

**What do you dislike about KORONA POS?**

The system software is originally from Germany, so there was a slight learning curve trying to figure out POS button sequences. It's the most efficient, but it takes some getting used to. There are also a lot of features, which is a plus, but they aren't all explained very well without multiple emails/calls with the support team.

**What problems is KORONA POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Korona revolutionized how we did business in our Museum gift shop. The retail/inventory systems are top notch and far and away better than what we were using.
