**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

It is extremely easy to onboard a new hire and get them up to speed in the system.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

We have a large catalog and when we need to search for a product it can take a while for it to load. Using a barcode scanner mitigates this though.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to use one platform for our ecommerce and site and all three of our brick and mortar locations. Inventory and customers stay synced.

Ease of navigation, speed, simple to set up and use.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

no downsides really. If you're nitpicking then somteimes connecting the readers can be temperamnental and if selling in multiple countries make sure you check the reader is for the specific country.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

speed of transaction means more sales and less messing around, collecting customer data for future use, easy features eg discount, sign ups. easy to check stock in other stores.

**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

This tool is useful for retail businesses to get all tools they need in one.
This is the backbone that of any retail business with fully integrated inventory management system.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

The subscription charge is higher for small retail businesses that everyone can't afford.

I don't need to take worry regarding my inventory things. Shopify POS taking good care of my inventory stuffs and I need to sit back and wait for thé notifications.

And every thing is Bluetooth

Limitations for exchanging and returns 

Receipts print showing any changes to orders so it's very complex when packing orders

**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

The best part about Shopify POS is that you can administer it from any web interface and it's very easy to navigate and configure.  The checkout process is simple for not only the POS user but the customer as well.  Using two tablets you can put them together and configure one as a customer display.  Awesome feature!

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

Nothing that I presently dislike.  It's been great for us!

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can sell in our Brick and Mortar store and use it mobile on any iPad for when we goto events and it works seamlessly with our brick in mortar showing inventory.

The Amount Of Features, along with the ease of use, is something Shopify excels at. It also applies to their POS software user experience. It is really easy to manage, modern looking, and very intuitive with the tile, which is unlike other commercial software, and looks really really modern

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

The monthly cost of using the software. Shopify does not give a free version of POS which can be a roadblock for many businesses to start. Though not a huge amount, a basic free version would have been great.

Shopify's ecosystem provides one of the easiest and most seamless Omni-channel solutions. It is easy for a small business to understand and interact with the software. You get all the basic features a retailer wants, reliable online and offline POS features, payments, marketing, staff management, order and inventory management.

Not much.  Had multiple issues, that company never resolved.

Unable to talk to a live person and they refused to have a manager contact us.

Super easy, clean, and  has a consistent design across any store I got to purchase, the advantage is that I can trust a company when I see that as I know they use Shopify

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

This might not apply to anyone but when I create automation in Zapier, if people have multiple items under one order, all the items will come under line items than being shown separately, this makes it a bit difficult when integrating different tools

Shopify POS provides an automated tool for managing inventory, orders, products, and product variants. A number of Shopify apps are available on the Shopify store  to specific functionality you want to inject in the you POS.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

In products, there are a limited number of variants we can add for the products. We can't customize the POS functionality as a developer as there are limited featured are available.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POS saves time and paperwork and can make the calculations on his end. Can manage inventory efficiently without any error and with 100% accuracy. Cost is not much higher, so user can have it easily.

What I liked best was the convenience that customers and I had to process payments when at busy events. Also, the system was free to all Shopify users was a plus.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

What I dislike is that after two times of use my husband could no longer get sync the device with our laptops. So, it was kinda of a bummer and disappointment going into planned events.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the moment it is not solving any problems. At the time of purchase it made checking customers out convenient and the device made customers feel safe. Which is a plus.

connection with Shopify is excellent, most POS have a 1 way sync which makes the POS master of inventory which is okay depending on how you operate

Lots of advanced POS functions are lacking such as advanced reporting, integration to third party value add like loyalty

**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

It was easy to learn quickly and on the job. There was little time or need for training.  The shop had already added inventory in Shopify, so it was easy. I do not know too many other systems. However, I found it more user friendly than Square.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

When there wasn't a piece of inventory in the system, it took a little time to set it up. Also, there needed to be a little more info on how to set up a rewards system.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I was using the system, it was to keep track of inventory sales as well as class sales that were held.  Once I figured out how to add classes to the system, it became a breeze.

**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

Shopify POS was the easiest setup I have done for my business.  The integration from my e-commerce store to the easy conversation to the POS was done easily on the app and on the go!  The ability to create a custom order and customer profiles, that you can add card info manually, and that you can text email, or print receipt.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

Havent come across anything yet that I don't love! I wish that it came with a reader for cards instead of having to pay a lot for the reader.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to ring people up from products from my store in person and at events.  I have an e-commerce site, so being able to have the portal pos has been excellent --- it keeps all of my records and inventory in one place.

Shopify POS is a great integration with Shopify for our online store. The inventory insights and sales summaries are very helpful with store business reports.

Some of the features are limited or don't have as mucin in-depth reporting. (Insights can be limited)

The integration of POS and the store front itself is great to handle transactions and inventory plus checkout details all in one place without having to swap back and forth.

Shopify POS makes it SO easy to take sales at a brick-and-mortar location or even a pop up shop. We use it for traveling locations when we go to fairs or artist events. It makes it super easy for us to take payments of all types and stay up to date on inventory.

I wish there was an option to scan a card to input numbers instead of typing them out manually, but other than that it's great!

Shopify POS lets us do sales on the go and keep track of all inventory, collect sales tax, and everything else we usually do in an instant over our phone!

**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

Love the synchronicity between our online ecomm store and our brick and mortar location. Like the ability to save carts. Like that each employee can login separately. Like that we can have receipts sent to customers via email or text as well as a physical receipt, if needed. Like that we can feature items in different channels (like online or in store only).

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

I dislike that Shopify Gift Cards are not reloadable. This feature is offered by many and most other Point of Sale providers and I wish that Shopify offered this feature as well, especially for in purchase customer returns. This would be my biggest complaint and dislike about using Shopify Point of Sale and potentially the main reason I would consider switching to another point of sale provider. I also dislike that we cannot do multiple exchanges. If someone exchanges an item for another size and then later wants to bring it back for a different color we are unable to process this additional exchange on the Point of Sale.

**Recommendations to others considering Shopify POS:**

Fantastic service if you use Shopify online already. Be prepared to purchase a lot of gift cards, as they are not reloadable.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel that Inventory sync is our biggest asset to having Shopify Point of Sale. The ability to have a customer buy something in store and it automatically removes it from available inventory on our website is a HUGE benefit to us. It assists in the comfort of not over selling an item, which is a big pain point for retailers who use a separate ecomm provider and point of sale provider. We appreciate the different App opportunities that sync up with Shopify and are often taking advantage of the apps that best suite and cater to our specific business. We also enjoy the dashboard on the Point Of Sale that allows us to pin commonly used items! This is great for a quick sale and for items that are frequently purchased but not individually tagged with SKUS.

I like that the system is so good at giving shipping details for orders and having hyperlinks everywhere to make it easy to find orders and updated information.

I dislike that we cannot just use Shopify for all of the backorder information to provide to customers when calling in for updates.

You cannot email customer invoices without sending them the PDF with all the internal action notes on it as well.

We are making it easier to capture orders online and even capture customer information for leads and sales purposes even when they don't buy!

I like that Shopify is a user-friendly e-commerce platform. They have good customer service support team when you run into questions or trouble. I have no prior e-commerce experience and I found the portal really easy to navigate and create.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

The only thing I do not like is that sometimes the content does not automatically reformat when changing themes, which times more time to adjust and set things up the way you want.

The problems we are solving are having a great platform for our e-commerce site. There can be multiple users to update the site and updates work in real-time. The benefits realized are having a one-stop shop for selling across multiple channels.

The ease of use, trainability and intuitiveness of the system. I’ve cut down my new hire POS training time down exponentially!

Using an app for employee time clock, inability to use/stack multiple discounts on a sale & the inability to reuse Shopify gift cards.

Let me begin with the most significant problem solvers: Shorter onboard staff training, seamless check out process for our customers, seamless exchanges/returns + strong analytics. We have found issues with Shopify Payments card reader and barcode scanner connectivity.

Whilst this may be a hardware issue, the software could detect problems with these two peripherals and prompt on screen alternatives.

Saving orders could also be easier, for when multiple customers are being worked with.

Shopify support has always been outstanding. Shopify has amazing articles - both on using their platform, and on general good practices - utilise this.

Train staff for how to use the software and show them why it is better.

I like best the fact that this syncs automatically with Shopify and keeps inventory levels up to date. The app is very simple to learn and use.

Shopify POS has some flaws. Up until very recently, automatic discounts would not work on the POS system. I don't like that we have to use overpriced Shopify hardware with it. I dislike that is has to be used with Apple products as well.

Inventory syncing is by far the biggest problem we have solved. This system syncs inventory with the website within a second which really helps us manage our orders. The Shopify POS also is very streamlined and doesn't require much equipment or space on a harddrive.

**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

As soon as your products are ready and shipping has been figured out, Shopify POS takes care of everything in between. It's easy to setup and a database of knowledge is available. Not much experience is needed to learn how the program works. Without POS, there will be a lot of time and money wasted on learning how to set this up (or hire experienced people to do this). For the subscription to the product and the support available, it is very affordable.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

I wish there is a regional pricing for the subscription. SMEs can easily leverage the product but startups from my country are very small and the pricing makes it a huge barrier to get into Shopify POS. It was still hard to convince the upper management of an SME just to use Shopify POS instead of using older and traditional methods since technological adaptations my country is slow for SMEs.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to set up an online store last March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic because there was a huge, temporary market shift from B2B to B2C during this time. Businesses were closed and everyone was staying at home. We wanted to reach these customers at home but setting up an online store without a dedicated IT team for this was almost impossible. With Shopify POS, I was able to set this up singlehandedly in 2 weeks, including the training of logistics managers.

I love the POS chip and swipe reader! It is fantastic especially with their newest update. It is very easy to use and works well for my type of business. We get a lot of our business from doing pop-up shop events locally in Austin. I love how when I sell something it takes the inventory off of my website. My customers love it too!

I wish the charge on the POS chip reader lasts a bit longer. Just remember to charge it often. But other that it is a fantastic product!!

Shopify has allowed me to seamlessly sell products on my website, in my brick and mortar store as well as on Facebook & Google.  I load my products once and it's done.  What a Godsend during this crisis and probably the only reason we are surviving. Once one realizes that the Shopify platform is a one stop shop for marketing and selling it is literally off to the races.

For a brief while Shopify had a PO option built in but they took it away.  That's the missing link for me - Shopify needs to make ordering product as easy as it makes selling product.

Jump in!  I wish I had taken Shopify seriously 5 years ago.

Sales.  Shopify hooked me up with Google and made Facebook so much easier to use.  The attention to marketing is amazing. We are in Wisconsin and we just shipped 4 packages of Texas Chili Beans to a customer in California.  That's it, the order was just for beans.  How else would I have found that customer???

I like that Shopify helps small businesses create their websites. They're a great start for online businesses because it organized and everything is in one place. Before using Shopify I was taking orders straight from Facebook and it was wild. It was hard to organize who had what orders and using Shopify changed that. I can now see every order with all the information I need all at once. There are also a variety of apps I can use to make my store better and easier to manage.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

Their guide is so complicated and long. They don't exactly make things super easy for you. I had to sit and decipher what they meant and it took forever. There are so many apps you can use, but it's inconvenient to have to download an app for every little feature. I also think they want you to pay way too much money for simple features.

I recommend you know what you want for your website before you get started.

The best part about Shopify is that if you know very little about e-commerce or how to even how to build a website, you're going to be able to get up and going in a matter of hours. They make it simple to have an online store from the domain to payment processing. Spotify has a good amount of themes for free and lots of premium ones with add-ons that can really make the stores comprehensive including subscription models.

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

It can feel really restrictive at first especially if you are coming from WordPress or another self create platforms. However, almost like an iPhone what you give up in customization you gain in ease of use. Also the addons are rather expensive and many are monthly subscription.

If you are looking an easy way to start an online store, Shopify makes it simple.

It is easy to set up and even a lay man can use it, a person can start it's store within 72 hours.

You don't need any coding skills for Shopify.

It has various free themes which makes your website really presentable and makes it easy to use for the customers as well.

You don't have to hire anyone for Shopify, you can do every on your own as most of the things are automated

There is only one problem with Shopify and that's the fee structure of Shopify. It might be convenient for people who are living in developed countries but for developing countries 29$/ month is bit more because selling a product isn't that easy.

If you are launching your own ecommerce store then go for shopify, you don't need any coding knowledge as everything is automated.

As most of the things are automated, I find everything so easy. If anyone is entering into eCommerce then that person should give it a try as they do offer a 14 days trial.

I can create coupon codes and I don't have to worry about any payment issue. Shopify is making my life so easy.

I don't need any other software for inventory management as Shopify tells me everything about my inventory as well.

It's secure and reliable and it gives you a free SSL certificate as well.

**What do you like best about Shopify POS?**

Shopify has been great for my small business. I have two brick and mortar stores as well as an online store. Shopify allows me to do everything in one system. Very intuitive to use- I am not super computer savvy! It keeps track of my inventory and gives me all sorts of reports and analytics. There are many ways to customize the system to fit different needs. And one of the best features is if you have any questions they have the most fantastic support! Switched from Square and am very happy!

**What do you dislike about Shopify POS?**

My only problem is that the POS systems in the stores will periodically drop Bluetooth and so some of the peripheral components like the printer and card reader can drop out. I’m not sure if the issue is the shopify system or the iPad I’m using… Trying to get to the bottom of it.

**What problems is Shopify POS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Besides being an easy to use POS, the main problem that Shopify has solved for me is tracking my inventory between my online store and my brick and mortar stores. Now I finally know how much I have, and where everything is distributed.
