**What do you like best about Storylane?**

At our company, Storylane is a crucial tool that we use extensively within our Help Center. It plays a key role in helping us create step-by-step interactive guides for our customers, which greatly enhances their onboarding and self-service experience. The platform’s UI is incredibly intuitive, making it easy for anyone on our team to build and publish flows without any technical complexity. We also appreciate the powerful analytics Storylane provides - it gives us actionable insights into how users engage with our guides. Plus, their support team is always responsive and helpful whenever we need assistance.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

One suggestion I have is to introduce a dedicated way for users to share product feedback and ideas directly with the Storylane team. This would make it easier for us, as regular users, to contribute suggestions or feature requests that could improve the product even further.

Storylane makes our customer support and training videos for our platform so engaging for our customer and staff. So easy to create , edit and maintain.  Really is an amazing product for us.

as a founder i wish i could afford to use all the great features that are available in the additional tiers.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Out platform changes quickly and allows us to make new feature videos to share with our userbase quickly.  we use it across our socials and in response to support requests.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I love how easy it is to use. I was able to jump in and start using right away without any technical training. I can see this being easily rolled out across multiple teams with ease. Can I also say their chatbot is amazing for answering questions, and honestly felt so consultative when I was asking it questions, example being "what is your use case or what are you trying to achieve".

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

They're smart with how you get to upgrade. They sourced our old brand logo during set up and as someone in marketing it kills me to be in the free plan and to not have our new brand show up.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It started out as part of a project for revamping our website. I was more exploring platforms to see what would work best here. I then was brought into a different conversation about users struggling in our platform. I spent hoursssss in Appcues trying to set up a flow that was easy to understand and navigate as a user. When I finally had enough, I decided to use my 1 free video to be the channel where users would become acquainted with the platform. It took me no more than 15 min to get it set up and running. We are hoping this will give users an easy walkthrough of how to set up certain communications in our platform.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Implementing Storylane has completely transformed our lead generation strategy. The interactive demos allow prospects to explore our product in a hands-on way, which has significantly increased both engagement and conversion rates.

We’ve seen a noticeable uptick in qualified leads since launching our Storylane flows. It's been especially helpful for communicating value quickly—without needing a full sales call. The platform is intuitive, easy to integrate into our existing stack, and their team has been incredibly responsive and helpful throughout.

Storylane has become a core part of our GTM toolkit. Highly recommend it to any team looking to level up how they capture and convert leads.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

They definitely hooked us with the paid plan by limiting the number of published demos (one) on the free version. I also wish they had some more mid-level pricing options vs starter (~$50/mo) and enterprise (~$650/mo). Otherwise - it's been fantastic!!

We use Storylane for demos on our website as well as training walk-throughs for our help-center. This has replaced our PDF/image based guides and removed the friction of our employees not wanting to record themselves on video.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

I love how easy it is to record demos, with remarkable recognition of my user journey and screen selection. Editing frames and the overall look and feel of the demo is easy and not overly complex, yet offers enough adjustment options. I also appreciate the ease of recording new demos, managing cloud storage, sharing finished demos, and tracking engagement.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I often struggle with duplicating screens; they frequently jump to the end of the entire screencast instead of appearing after the scene I'm currently on. Additionally, I would appreciate a functional batch update feature, as I usually have to adjust each frame individually. I'm also not a fan of the "write guide feature," which adds the unnecessary phrase "with a guided demo." It would also be great to access recorded demos offline

Problems: 
- Outdated demos: The significant challenge of keeping product demos current is addressed.
- Time-consuming explanations: The need for sales and product teams to repeatedly explain features is reduced.

AI features are very intuitive. Once you know your story flow, you can use AI features to refine it. Voiceovers and Avatars are a added plus. Surprise by the platform's ability read data and come up with guide text

Customer support for starter plan is negligible. If you have a question, you'll have to go via chat window which can delay communication. There should be a CSM to talk to

I wish there was a way to auto-create a demo from a video that you upload into the system. But it seems like that feature is coming soon. Can't come quick enough!

Storylane is very quick to learn and intuitive to use. I appreciate how interactive the demos are and how easily they engage viewers. The analytics are especially valuable; being able to track where each viewer came from through different links provides actionable insights and has saved me a lot of time.

Adding videos can sometimes be tricky, and the automated screenshot feature can create far too many slides at once, which makes it a bit tedious to go through and clean up.

I like how easy and intuitive it is to create demos. The analytics are pretty nice too, where you can see at which stage the viewer is most engaged. Customer support is very helpful and responds quickly. 

The video avatars are pretty cool too.

Not much, maybe that it wasn‘t super great on mobile.

**What do you like best about Storylane?**

Storylane makes it very easy to create interactive product demos. The UI is pretty straight forward, and the workflow feels smooth (I use it frequently and it works even if you're a non-technical user!).  You can easily customize the product themes based on your product theme. Our team was able to implement this with ease within 2 days. It also comes with Audio & Avatar AI features, which are a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Not very sure if the all the company names populated in Analytics are correct. But nothing that’s a blocker.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Storylane for product demos in doc site which helps us bring static documentation to life. Instead of just describing workflows, we allow users to feel the application and it's features in documentation itself. This has significantly improved user understanding, and made our content more engaging. It’s become an essential part of our product documentation toolkit.

As a demand gen marketer, Storylane makes everything super intuitive, streamlined, and easy to leverage across web + digital initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Only "issue" I have run into is some GA4 integration difficulties as it was treating each iframe/embed view as a separate "Page View", "Session" and other metrics; however, support helped me implement changes to update this (but was not out of box).

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1) driving high-intent traffic + users into a "Demo Environment"/"Product Tour"s
2) knowing what accounts are viewing the Storylane demos, and what channels they are coming from
3) detailed reporting to understand what is working, where prospects are dropping off, where to double down, etc. based on demo/flow analytics. Really helps with optimizing demo tours.

There isn't anything in particular that I dislike about Storylan. Overall, it's a good app.

Storylane has been a fantastic addition to our documentation workflow. It allows us to create interactive, high-quality visual presentations that perfectly complement our written content. The demos are intuitive and easy to integrate. Also, capture & editing is incredibly easy.

It’s the ideal tool to make our docs more engaging and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

Overall, it's a very, very good tool. The only drawbacks I see are that it's not possible to translate a demo without duplicating it, and it's a bit hard to tell which demos have already been organized or not — but these are minor issues.

**What problems is Storylane solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storylane helps us bring our documentation to life by adding high-quality, interactive demos that make complex workflows easier to understand. Instead of relying solely on long blocks of text or static screenshots, we can now guide users through visual, hands-on experiences.

It’s also incredibly easy to edit and update demos, which saves us time and allows more team members to contribute, even without technical or design skills.

While translation and demo organization could be improved, the overall experience is smooth and efficient. Storylane has significantly improved the clarity and engagement of our documentation.

It's very easy to use and you can create demos extremely quickly. There is a good amount of options for customization, and you can create and store brand themes and easily apply them to each step of a demo to save time.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

I wish they had more fonts available. They do not have our font and we have to use an off-brand font. I also think the reporting can improve. Under 'All sessions' in the Audience tab, the 'Account' associated with viewers is often wrong.

Storylane makes building and delivering interactive demos incredibly simple. The AI-driven features save a ton of time, and the overall ease of use means our team can quickly create polished, professional experiences without needing deep technical expertise. It’s a perfect fit for showcasing our solution in a way that’s engaging and customer-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

The only drawback is that Storylane is currently limited to Chrome (to my knowledge). Broader browser support (Edge, Safari, Firefox) would make it easier to adopt across different teams and customer environments.

We needed a way to control the number of demonstrations we were asked to deliver and Storylane has now increased our capacity whilst also delivering a consistent experience for the prospective and existing user. Its ease of use is obvious - just follow the dot! We can implement a new story in a short time and refine it over just a few hours. The support from the Storylane team is fast and helpful.

It's missing an English (accent) avatar. Male and Female options would be helpful.

Solutions Consulting (pre-sales engineers) not being available at the time the Sales team needs resource. Previously having to reset data back to a demonstrable state before each demo. Not being able to gauge interest in areas without a gut feel of the demonstrating pre-sales engineer.

It's easy to build interactive product demos in minutes without any support, the chrome extension and editing tools are super intuitive. Great for marketing. The chrome extension captures flows with just a few clicks and the editing tools are intuitive-no-code but powerful. we were able to build and embed personalized demos on our website and emails within a day.

So far so good, the design customisation options are slightly limited. there is only small drawback is that the learning curve for advanced demos is bit tracky at first.

The AI persona voice doesn't sound quite right in my language, which isn't very common, but I appreciate that they offer a wide range of language support. On the other hand, the English AI persona voice is excellent.

They automate much of the training necessary for users to learn the custom software I provide. The interactive demo is far superior to any video, as it gives users a hands-on training experience. By the end of the process, users are better prepared, which significantly reduces the man-hours required for individual training without Storylane.

It's easy to use with multiple options for capturing product views, offers multiple built in options to use within marketing campaigns, and has been pretty seemless to get our GTM teams on board with utilizing within their outreach.

There are a few features not currently available for capturing multiple screens or via video when your product opens new windows while using that has work-arounds but isn't the most efficient for video editing.

It is super easy to make the recordings and gives you lots of options for customizing them. I like that you can create your own UI theme and it's very handy that you can insert pages from other storylanes to the one you're working on. Also the many export formats are great.

I think the tools and guides are the best part of using Storylane. You don't have to be a technical expert or know how to code to use this tool and put together excellent product demos/guided tours. You just need some very basic computer literacy.

I wish they had a Microsoft Edge plugin for capturing screens. I also wish it were a little easier to catalogue captured screens. I have over 100 captured screens but I don't have any way to filter or label them so that I can categorize them.

Our solution is great for technical users, but walking through the stages of the solution can take time and expertise. Storylane allows us to take the best practices of all our solutions consultants and combine them into one super-demo. It's also a powerful lead generation tool. You can seamlessly integrate forms within the demo to capture contact information.

What's truly great is the flexibility. You create a single demo and can then deploy it across multiple channels, including email campaigns, ads, or even shared directly by your account executives during sales conversations.

Depending on how your product's code is structured, you sometimes have to rely on screenshots to build the demo. This can lower the resolution and make the visual quality inconsistent.

A major drawback is that the demos are not responsive. They don't adapt well to different screen sizes, which can be a problem for users viewing them on mobile devices.

It allows people to view pages of information in an interactive format. In the format of showing a client where to go and how to use our products, it gives clients a hands-on experience of our services to fully understand what we have to offer. It's intuitive for clients and is much more exciting than a simple powerpoint explaining how to use our services. For myself personally as a new starter at my work, it has been helpful to both view storylane demos for my training, and see how it is made.

Editing a demo can be a bit of a learning curve, but that is partly due to the breadth of controls offered. The UI could be slightly more appealing, but that's leaning on personal preference.

Easy to record and customize demos using AI avatars and voice generators. I can make instant updates to existing demos via Storylane, and the changes appear on the front-end without needing to redeploy.

Storylane currently doesn't integrate with Strapi CMS, so adding demos to the website takes time and has a learning curve. Integrating with GA4 or Looker Studio to map Storylane events to product conversions (especially B2C) is time-consuming. This can be improved.

Storylane has helped us communicate our features to users better with interactive demos. We were working on creating videos to showcase our product features, highlight the problems it aims to solve, and share the insights it offers. However, we found it challenging to put everything together effectively. With Storylane, the process became much simpler, allowing us to easily produce product demos that we had previously struggled to create without it.

**What do you dislike about Storylane?**

One aspect I would like to see improved is the ability to organize stories into their respective folders, as I find the current UI makes this task more difficult than it should be. Like pointing out while I capture a new story to be in a certain file and have the name also defined while I start. Additionally, I wish the AI-generated voice overs based on text prompts were more reliable, especially when it comes to pronouncing nouns such as our product's name. We've struggled to get the pronunciation right, and this issue becomes even more pronounced when dealing with numerous screenshots. Maintaining a consistent tone and correct pronunciation in the voice overs has been a significant challenge for us.

This tool helps us quickly produce demo videos and interactive click-throughs that would have been much more difficult for us to create otherwise.
