"Fast setup and great conversion results"
What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane was easy to start using, I managed to create a demo quite fast, integrate on my website and the conversion result is amazing.

It is now one of the key driver of conversion and a great way to evaluate buying intent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

Analytics are very limited, I would like to understand easily what steps are the most seen, where are people droping etc. Currenlty impossible so that's a big loss on understanding prospects.

Some of the UX would deserve to be improved: be able to move a step from one chapter to another for example, also few bugs are slowing the experience a little bit (background change needs to be done twice, duplicate of a step places it randomly where you want or very far, etc). "Fast, intuitive, and perfect for scalable product tutorials"
What do you like best about Storylane?

What I like best about Storylane is how incredibly easy and fast it makes it to produce high-quality interactive tutorials without needing support from engineering or design. The learning curve is extremely low, the editor is intuitive, and the final result feels polished and professional.

For a B2B SaaS company like ours, Storylane helps us break down complex workflows (procurement, payments, supplier onboarding, etc.) into simple, guided experiences that our users can follow at their own pace. Features like automatic step-by-step capture, hotspots, branching, and reusable components significantly speed up our production process.

Another major upside is how effortless it is to update demos. Instead of re-recording videos every time our platform UI changes, we can quickly replace individual steps while keeping everything consistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

There are moments where Storylane feels a bit limited when you need deeper UI customization. Some design elements, spacing, and alignment controls are restrictive, and it can be tricky to fully match brand guidelines without workarounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Templates and Versatile Tools for Effective Tutorials"
What do you like best about Storylane?

It offers excellent templates and a versatile palette with multiple options to create accurate content, making it highly effective for recording tutorials. The ability to capture each click on the screen, along with an option to remove unwanted steps, allows users to optimize their presentation and keep it concise and to the point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

There is occasional lag between initiating the recording and when it actually begins. Additionally, some unintended screen clicks get captured, making it difficult to identify and remove them later. Providing an option to undo unwanted clicks during the recording itself would be very helpful. The AI-enabled text generation feature also requires significant improvement, as its current capabilities are quite basic and do not add substantial value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless to Use and Continuously Evolving with Our Needs"
What do you like best about Storylane?

Simply put, it's the precise tool that I needed when I stumbled upon it, and it keeps growing as my organization's needs evolve. I know I'm just scraping the surface of functionality as there are seemingly many tools that I can explore for making the videos more engaging and to more accurately track conversions, but this is because of lack of time, not because the product is not easy to use. It is super simple to use and update demos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

It's really hard to pinpoint any negatives, as it checks all of the boxes for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative Features and Responsive Team Make a Winning Combo"
What do you like best about Storylane?

The company is always striving to make the product better and is very responsive to the suggestions and features requests we submit. The click through demos have a wide range of uses - from our website, to customer specific asks, to trainings internally. What I like best though is the Demo Hubs which they are continuing to build out. The product is easy to use though and implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

The folder structure to store all your videos is not flexible and doesn't allow embedded folders. They are updating the search to a tagging system, but it can be hard to find what I'm looking for currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Feature-Rich Demo Creation Made Easy"
What do you like best about Storylane?

Storylane is intuitive, quick to get started, and has all the features I need to create an impactful, engaging demo experience. The CX team has also been fantastic, answering all of our questions and promptly helping us navigate issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

The analytics UE could be a bit better, however the team has made significant progress since the product launched. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Storylane has been a dream come true for our company's software demos!"
What do you like best about Storylane?

We have only been using Storylane at our company for about two months now, but it has already transformed the way we create software demos! We are able to quickly create demos for our software and allow customers to "interact" with our software without having to send them to our website or do any tedious installations. We have started created Storylane demos for almost anything we can think of because it is so easy to use! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

There is nothing I dislike about Storylane at the moment, and we are just getting started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Demos That Empower Our Revenue Teams"
What do you like best about Storylane?

I really appreciate how practical and intuitive the demos are for our internal teams, particularly during events like trade shows where we need a straightforward way to present new features to clients and prospects. The option to include callouts and tool tips makes the demos accessible and user-friendly, allowing anyone—regardless of their experience with our company or solutions—to confidently give a demo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

There are a few enhancements I would like to see on the backend, especially when creating demos. For instance, I wish I could simply record a two-minute demo recording and have StoryLane automatically splice and edit the video, rather than having to manually upload each screenshot and video clip. I have also encountered some difficulties when trying to trim clips to make them shorter.

Additionally, there have been several occasions when I was unable to publish a demo and received an error message. Thankfully, the StoryLane support team responded promptly and resolved the issue before one of our most important client-facing trade shows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Updates and Scalability with Storylane"
What do you like best about Storylane?

I truly appreciate the scalability that a single Storylane offers. With the "republish" feature, I can create a Storylane once and never worry about sending out new or updated links, since the original link is automatically refreshed. This has been a huge benefit for me and my company, especially since we have releases every other week. Before using Storylane, it was a hassle to continually send out updated materials and manage internal resources, but now that process is much more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Storylane?

In my experience, some of the AI features actually created more work rather than making things more efficient, so I decided to disable them. However, I can see how AI could be beneficial in Storylane if the tool were more dynamic and didn't simply add unnecessary extra slides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
