"Course creation tool I've been needing for years"

What do you like best about Parta.io?

I was a avid Articulate user for years between Rise and Storyline, but like most users, kept running into walls when it came to feature requests or advanced set ups.

In walks Parta.

I can't explain to you how refreshing it is to have a new platform that not only focusing on efficient course creation, but actively listens to it's users, asks for feedback, and consistently improves it tooling in order to make the customer's life easier.

Biggest pro for me is AUTHOR COLLABORATION. Yes, you read that right. The feature we have been asking for 10+ years plus in Articulate is a base functionality here.

"The most user-friendly learning design software I've ever used!"

What do you like best about Parta.io?

Parta.io has been a game changer for our course development, not only is it highly intuitive, it's incredibly customizable. We are able to develop our course in a fraction of the time than our previous software. It works like a no-code website builder rather than a clunky 5-click time-waster to go from editing a component to seeing how it looks live. With Parta, I edit the component and it looks like it'll look in the course. Then I can still preview the course in its entirety.

We've also been privileged to have their team assist us in several ways and they constantly listen to our feedback and iterate quickly on user needs. I don't feel like I'm talking to a software company when I interact with them because I know I'm talking to industry experts that know what instructional designers need beyond just having fancy buttons or interactions, so I can focus on more of the actual learning design instead of visual design and functionality. What do you dislike about Parta.io?

That this product should have been developed ages ago and then it would be even more amazing today. But in all seriousness, the software is in its infancy, yet they update and improve their product so rapidly, its negatives or limitations will not last long. What problems is Parta.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

Parta was able to reduce our course production time 75%. We are able to complete and iterate on courses in FAR less time than ever before because we used to build a prototype/storyboard outside of our previous course builder because it was so time-consuming to edit or review drafts within the software. Then, we'd go through review processes using the prototype, then build it. Any iteration necessary would usually wait until several small things changed or a big change needed to happen, then we'd have to download the SCORM and replace it with the older version. With Parta, we can build directly in the software, share with stakeholders and reviewers for feedback, and iterate all within the software. "Everyone's new favorite authoring tool"

What do you like best about Parta.io?

Parta.io is my favorite new authoring tool for developing e-learning content! What I love most is how much freedom it gives you. I can whip up custom content blocks, cool interactions, and layouts that fit exactly what I need. Plus, embedding anything (videos, Storyline interactions, HTML code) is a huge benefit, making my courses super engaging and integration into my team's existing tech stack seamless.

One of my favorite features is how easy it is to update the look of all my courses; one click and BOOM, everything matches the style and branding I configure! I can customize how I want all of my team's text, elements (accordions, tabs, etc) look for consistency, and give my team the ability to be creative with their development yet consistent with the company's branding requirements. And the permissions are super granular, so I can control exactly who sees or edits what. Collaborating with other stakeholders is easy, which is huge for us. And having all of our company's digital assets in one place? Total lifesaver. Oh, and you can publish courses in tons of different ways, including directly to an LMS (in our case, Skilljar). This made our implementation quick and easy!

Honestly, the features are great, but the entire team (shoutout to Artem, Andrew, and Polly!) is next-level. They're super responsive are genuinely invested in our success, making the whole experience world-class. I use Parta every day and I wouldn't have it any other way. What do you dislike about Parta.io?

It's not perfect, but pretty close! Sometimes there are small bugs when I'm building stuff, which can be a bit annoying. But there's always a workaround, and the Parta team is incredibly responsive and always offers solutions.

Sending content for outside review can be a little clunky, especially with the "guest user" setup. A smoother way to do that would be awesome for collaborating. And while it has lots of interactive options, it's got some limitations that other tools like Storyline can accomplish like dynamic variables and custom animations. What problems is Parta.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

Parta is helping us solve our branding consistency, keeping our courses all looking and feeling the same. The branding feature helps make this easy to do. It is also helping us onboard new developers quickly; they don't have to think about the color scheme or the heading sizes, as these are all predefined and allows them to focus on making beautiful, meaningful content. It is also helping us to think through our approach to our content; we no longer add accordions or tabs (as one does in Rise) without intention, using those types of elements intentionally. It also helps us with our review cycles, allowing our reviewers to be very specific with where and what they have feedback on. We've been leveraging the "Resources" feature to provide our content developers with the creative assets (like images) within the tool itself, without having to manage them outside of Parta. What do you like best about Parta.io?

The focus of the company is to create a tool that can enable teams to collaborate to create great learning experiences in a smart, strategic way. This means that we can easily make changes across the catalog to meet the every changing needs of the business. We can also make content that varies for the users; it can be consistent in branding, yet interesting and effective--not boring. And, finally Parta is focused on the levels of granular control, this means that you can also decide who has access to what, which is very important.

What do you dislike about Parta.io?

With flexibility comes a little bit of a learning curve (I'm ok with that) and that to have consistency really means taking some responsibility to set standards and templates (I'm also ok with that).

What do you like best about Parta.io?

There are a few things I appreciate about Parta:

1. Customizability - With Parta, I can customize every detail of the educational content I design, from the course structure down to the lesson elements. With this high level of customization, I can create beautiful, user-friendly courses that align with our product’s branding.

2. Project management features - In addition to the authoring features, Parta has project management functionalities like tasks and comments. While these may seem minor additions, they have revolutionized the collaborative design process, making it much more efficient.

3. Support - Collaborating with the Parta team is a genuine partnership. They’re always available to address questions, share instructional videos, and hop on calls to guide me through my design questions. They even reviewed some of my designs and provided some additional ideas to make them better. Their dedicated support team has significantly accelerated our team’s adoption of the product. What do you dislike about Parta.io?

Mastering the advanced features of Parta, such as pro-mode, takes a bit of time and effort. That said, it's difficult to view this as a drawback of the tool, considering the payoff. Once you grasp how to utilize these features and start designing and saving templates, the process of creating content becomes significantly faster and easier. Before Parta, my design process started with the question "how can I fit the content I want into this authoring tool?" and in the process I had to compromise a lot and shave off the content to fit the tool I was working with. With Parta, my process is completely different - I think of the content first and then ask "how do I customize a Parta block to fit my content?" "Evolution in eLearning authoring – finally!"

What do you like best about Parta.io?

Our decision to switch to Parta was made quickly, within only a few weeks, due to its clear benefits. It was easy to set up and we use it every day to streamline our content development process.

Most exciting of all, Parta has made it possible for us to build some simple enablement on instructional design for our subject matter experts, and then turn them loose to start building courses on our own. This approach is still in the pilot phase, but we expect to be able to dramatically scale our course creation by allowing learning experience designers and SMEs focus on what they each do best. What do you dislike about Parta.io?

Like all new products, Parta has its quirks, but nothing that has significantly slowed us down – quite the opposite actually! The benefits we get from Parta far outweigh any of the niggles we've found.

Actually, from Day 1, the Parta team have been proactive about gathering our feedback and so far, they have been incredibly receptive to our suggestions, which they have used to implement many product enhancements within the first few months. Parta now integrates with our ring-fenced AI engine, and it will soon connect with our translation/localization platform, which expect to create further efficiency gains as we expand into more languages. What problems is Parta.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previously, we relied on custom HTML/CSS to adhere to strict brand guidelines for our customer academy, which is built around a highly customized experience that other eLearning authoring tools couldn't support. With Parta's no-/low-code editor, we have full control of the learning experiences in a WYSIWYG tool, which significantly boosts our content creation efficiency by reducing manual tasks like copy-pasting from storyboards and passing doucments to SMEs for feedback. With Parta, we also gained access to new options for interactivity and animations that would previously have required us to get the support of a frontend developer to build. Plus, because branding settings are centralized, when the next inevitable rebrand comes along, it will be quick and simple to apply the new colors, fonts, etc. to all our existing content. What do you like best about Parta.io?

Parta actually solves the problems that both L&D and customer education teams face. For example:

1. They've made it possible to truly collaborate and get feedback on courses as they are being developed

2. Branding - oh my goodness, they've made rebranding so much easier than it's ever been in my career!

3. Their no-code editor makes it possible for me to adjust anything to meet brand guidelines or to build the interactions I need.

4. They are actively listening to the people who do the work, and their software updates show that they are responding to our needs.

What do you dislike about Parta.io?

Downsides? I'm not sure I've seen downsides yet.

What problems is Parta.io solving and how is that benefiting you?

Branding and Rebranding - this has been a problem for the entire time I've been in adult education (over 20 years!) The ability to control branding through a separate system and really refine the look and feel of a course, then switch it out with just a button click, is amazing.

The need for SME collaboration and feedback - being able to give anyone the ability to provide feedback on a course, and to do so on the exact section the feedback is about, is a game-changer.

Authoring and Resource management - I can use, reuse, and replace any video, image, or interaction so much more easily than in most other authoring systems.
