## Skilljar by Gainsight Reviews
  ### 1. Intuitive Course Management with Excellent Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tanya D. | Customer Success Operations Project Manager Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

I really like Skilljar by Gainsight for its analytics and integration with Salesforce, which weren't available in other platforms we looked at. The course management and asset management features are easy, and the user experience is simple, allowing people to log in quickly and start consuming content. The ability to share certificates on LinkedIn is a huge plus for us. It's great for incentivizing completion by letting users post their achievements on LinkedIn. I also appreciate the support from Skilljar Academy and the onboard manager, who was amazing.

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

I think the only thing that I don't really fully understand yet is Skilljar only has one-way integration with Salesforce. We originally intended on having data flowing between both systems freely, without using middleware. But, yes, Skilljar cannot pass data from Salesforce back to Skilljar without using middleware.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Skilljar by Gainsight for Coralogix s academy, managing over 30 courses and learning paths. It offers simple course and asset management with an easy user experience. The integration with Salesforce and the platform's analytics are very helpful.

  ### 2. Gainsight helping direct outcomes for many teams, all funneled through our CSMs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

We are long-time SkillJar users and absolutely thrilled to now have it run by Gainsight-- we are just scratching the surface regarding our LMS data getting into Customer CS, exploring how we can connect more to community for a seamless end user experience, etc, but it's a huge deal for us. Getting all of these platforms centralized and data sharing is huge because it allows us to identify opportunities, champions, and more with our customers and user base. We have an amazing and responsive CSM that is always ready to propose ideas and solutions about how we can make the most of this connection as well, which we really really appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

I don't love the process of submitting a help desk ticket. It used to be easier and now it runs through zendesk, requests a login, etc.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SkillJar is essential to delivering the customer education experience we aim to provide for our customers. We love the complexity we can build into our user groups, domains, and learning paths. We are able to also provide custom group portals which is a very popular request with our biggest customers. Other LMS options don't provide the flexibility, complexity, and customization that SkillJar gives us.

  ### 3. A strong self-serve hub that can make customer success more scalable

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Customer Experience Operations Manager (Certified Gainsight Administrator), Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

What seems strongest about Skilljar by Gainsight is that it gives the team a more scalable learning platform that can support structured customer education, certifications, session activity, and path progress while also feeding that information into broader CX systems. The direction also seems aligned with how our teams are thinking about it overall: not as a standalone training tool, but as part of a more unified onboarding and engagement motion across Gainsight, Skilljar, and community. That makes it valuable beyond just course delivery because it can help connect learning activity to customer journeys, follow-up, and account visibility in a more operational way.

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

The biggest downside seems to be implementation and integration complexity rather than the learning use case itself. There were blockers around SSO, creative and UI work, unsupported features like learning-type tags, and follow-on dependencies across Salesforce, Gainsight, and reporting. There were also real migration and data-quality issues called out during launch, including a migration mishap affecting a large number of records and historical learner data not fully pulling into downstream systems. So the caution point is that the platform can be powerful, but its value depends a lot on the surrounding data flows and integrations working reliably.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Skilljar is helping solve the problem of scaling customer education in a way that is more measurable and easier to operationalize. Instead of learning living in a silo, the goal is to connect training activity to C360 visibility, Journey Orchestrator followup, and broader onboarding and adoption motions. That is beneficial because it creates a tighter link between what customers are learning and how CX teams can act on it. Whether that is reinforcing onboarding, spotting certification progress, or using learning signals as part of a more complete customer success motion.

  ### 4. Great Tool for Customer Success with Awesome Support and Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cass N. | Senior eLearning Specialist

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

What I like best about Gainsight is how well it brings everything together in one place while still being flexible enough to adapt to our needs. The integrations have been especially valuable—using Gainsight with Skilljar has allowed us to better track customer engagement and tie learning data into broader customer health metrics. I appreciate how responsive Gainsight is to feedback and how rapidly their roadmap evolves. It feels like they’re always working on something to meet real customer needs, from new API capabilities to community integrations.

The level of customer support has been fantastic, too. The Gainsight team is always ready to jump in with consultations, helping us map out both big-picture strategies and more technical solutions like using the Skilljar data connector. It’s clear they’re invested in us being successful, and that kind of support, combined with how intuitive the platform is to use, makes it an ideal tool for a data-driven approach to customer success.

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

One challenge with Gainsight is that some features, like integrating systems directly, can feel a bit complex at first and might require additional setup or technical expertise. While the documentation is helpful, navigating these advanced integrations sometimes needs more coordination across teams.

That said, Gainsight does offer strong support to bridge gaps. Another consideration is that Gainsight is a robust platform, so it can take time to fully leverage all its potential. It’s less about flaws and more about learning its depth, which, once mastered, is incredibly rewarding. Gainsight's responsiveness to feedback is reassuring as we adapt and grow with it.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gainsight is helping us connect learning data from Skilljar to broader customer success insights, enhancing our ability to track engagement and demonstrate ROI. It’s made integrating data from multiple systems more manageable, giving us a clearer view of customer journeys. By automating workflows and centralizing data, we’ve saved time and reduced manual efforts, allowing us to focus on scaling programs and delivering value to our customers. It’s been a critical tool for driving strategic decision-making.

  ### 5. Easy tool with top-notch customer service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly H. | Director of Research

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

As an LMS administrator, I highly recommend Skilljar for customer and partner education. The absolute highlight of the platform is their exceptional team; the onboarding process was incredibly structured and seamless, and their responsive, knowledgeable customer support acts as a true partner in our success. Day-to-day management is straightforward, making publishing courses and tracking analytics highly efficient.

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

The only minor drawback is that the platform's underlying architecture can be somewhat inflexible when dealing with highly complex, non-traditional workflows or custom content nesting. However, this is by no means a game-changer. The stability of the platform and their unmatched customer support far outweigh this limitation, making Skilljar an excellent, scalable choice.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Skilljar has allowed us to seamlessly scale our global training initiatives by delivering a vast library of educational materials to clients worldwide. The platform makes it easy to organize and distribute content across different regions and time zones, transforming how we support and onboard our international clients at scale.

  ### 6. Eaton - Skilljar Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rena W. | Systems Application Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

Skilljar is extremely user and customer friendly, both internally and externally. Although the customer success teams were very helpful through our project deployment, we were able to figure out most of the site build ourselves using Skilljar's resources. It's also very easy for our customers to navigate and use. The payment portal is also convenient and very easy to set up. We also frequently see new features added and modernization on the platform, which is awesome!

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

The only feature I wish SJ had was the ability to mass email or target student groups directly from the site.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have never had an e-learning solution available for customers before Skilljar, and now, we have a one-stop-shop that our customers can use for both training and communications.

  ### 7. Seamless Integrations and Measurable Impact with Skilljar

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tommy C. | Customer Care Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

The primary upsides of using Skilljar by Gainsight as a customer education platform include its strong focus on customer and partner training, seamless integration with business systems like Salesforce, and a direct, measurable impact on key business metrics like retention and revenue.

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

The main downsides of Skilljar center around its limited reporting and analytics, often requiring data exports for deep insights, and its need for technical skills (HTML/CSS/API) for significant customization, making non-coders feel restricted by its default design. Users also report manual processes for user/course management, basic email customization, and occasional slow or unhelpful support, alongside a clunky admin UI.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Skilljar benefits businesses by providing a robust Learning Management System (LMS) focused on customer education, driving product adoption, boosting retention, and reducing support costs through scalable, personalized, on-demand training with deep analytics and integrations (like Salesforce). Key advantages include increased customer engagement via learning paths and certifications, monetization opportunities, consistent high-quality content delivery, automation for efficiency, and proving training ROI.

  ### 8. Gainsight CS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristina C. | Press Office and Talent Management

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

The ability to build structured, self-paced training content that scales, it lets us deliver consistent education without needing 1:1 sessions every time, which frees up time for higher-value work, is also very valuable as admins when we need to unsderstand functionalities

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

Nothing to add as so far we had no issues.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, it's less about customer-facing scaled onboarding and more about internal enablement, it's a valuable resource for training CSMs and admins on Gainsight best practices and features, helping the team stay current without needing dedicated 1:1 training sessions every time.

  ### 9. Powerful, Flexible, and Customizable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

What I like best about Gainsight is how flexible and powerful it is for our unique training needs. It allows us to create an academy that's accessible, organized, and helps drive engagement from our partners. Features like the ability to customize group-specific content and control what users see have been critical, especially as we grow internationally and have to meet different legal ad regulations. I also really appreciate the built-in analytics tools, like the search query analysis dashboard, which help us identify gaps in our content and improve accessibility for end users.

I love that the platform lets us do nearly everything we've ever wanted to do with it. As our needs have grown in complexity and scale over the years, we have rarely run into issues that would actually prevent us from doing what we want to on the platform.

The customer support and ongoing partnership with Gainsight have been a major upside as well. Whenever we’ve needed help, like managing our growing number of groups or assigning content at scale, the team has been responsive and open to feedback, making sure we have solutions that work for us. For example, their support team has helped execute time-saving scripts when needed, and their product team even gave us early access to a new search feature that’s been a game-changer for usability.

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

The main challenge with Gainsight is managing a large number of groups efficiently. Assigning or removing groups from courses can be cumbersome, especially when the platform doesn’t display all groups or allow batch updates. It becomes time-consuming as our organization grows and expands internationally.

Additionally, some features, like group and content management, could be more flexible to better handle complex use cases like ours. However, Gainsight's support team has been helpful in addressing these gaps with workarounds, like running scripts for updates, which has made a big difference. It’s clear they’re open to feedback and actively working to improve.

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gainsight helps us centralize and deliver training to our partners, ensuring they have quick access to the resources they need to sell effectively. It has improved accessibility with tools like its customizable catalog and search features, which our partners heavily rely on. This has streamlined our training process, enhanced engagement, and reduced the need for one-on-one support. By making knowledge more accessible and actionable, Gainsight has contributed to better partner performance and overall company success.

  ### 10. Fast Publishing and Search, but Nested Learning Paths Are Missing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

the speed of publishing and searching is excellent

**What do you dislike about Skilljar by Gainsight?**

there are no nested learning paths and the audit log is not fully available

**What problems is Skilljar by Gainsight solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publishing content an automatically updating SalesForce so the rest of the company can see the information
