Changes appear immediately. - The project managers at Smartling are very friendly and available for quick support. - Timely payment. - Good MT. **What do you dislike about Smartling?** - The system marks segments as 100% matches, but these matches are not always automatically entered, so you have to check and add them manually, which is time-consuming. - The cursor does not jump to where you place it, but always to the beginning of the segment, often despite multiple clicks. This costs time. - The glossary entries almost always need to be edited in my language and generate incorrect QA messages upon segment confirmation due to the necessary deviation, which takes a lot of time to process. Since the glossary is automatically entered, the title line of an entry should contain only one possible translation. Not multiple. - I find the so-called validation unjustified, as these segments often still need significant editing and do not justify the reduction in earnings. In general, the assignment of validations in my language often seems quite arbitrary. - During post-editing in the context of questions, the screen is sometimes extremely confusing. - Unfortunately, context is often missing, which is very important for a good translation. As a translator, I need to know where on the page a sequence of words is located in order to translate it correctly in context. This is also a problem with TM entries that are not suitable in every situation. Sometimes more than one TM entry is needed for a word or a part of a sentence. - There should be a way to download invoices sorted by project in a file. We use the workflow with Smartling AI Human Powered Translations and an internal review and the quality of the translations has a good quality. I also like the context view, as you can not only work in individual strings, but also see the text in its entire context, which is also useful for checking the flow of the text. **What do you dislike about Smartling?** As a new user, you first have to find your way around Smartling, also to find certain functions, some menus are nested and it takes time to find certain actions (for example, the possibility of downloading the current translation only via the Files tab and not directly in the Language tab/overview). The reasons for this are many: First and foremost, it is easy to use. There are several convenient tabs at the top, e.g. Context, Quality Checks, Search in TM, and Glossary. These are used often and very relevant to a smooth and efficient workflow. Secondly, the translation window has a simple and practical layout. Source text on the left, target on the right. Navigating from segment to segment is easy, either by confirming segments and moving on to the next, or simply clicking into whatever segment you want to work in. And last, but not least, as you work through your text, you can use a number of common insertables, like common and special characters, and tags to mention a few. This makes the translation process fast and convenient. I would also like to mention that if you have any issues you would like help with during the project, there is an easy-to-use Open New Issue function on the right hand side. Simply enter the question or comment you have, and the issue will be reported to the person in charge of this specific job. **What do you dislike about Smartling?** The Quality Checks process after you have completed the translation, can be tedious, especially if it's a big job. There is usually a long list of false positives that you have to x out, which can take time.
