## Smartling Reviews
 ### 1. Intuitive, fast, and user-friendly localization platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr Z. | Translation and Localization Professional, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

As a translator, I really appreciate how Smartling is designed with usability in mind. The interface is clean, fast, and intuitive — it's easy to navigate between strings, use the translation memory, and check context through visual previews. The built-in QA checks are helpful for catching errors early, and I like how the platform supports both machine and human translation in a seamless way. Terminology management and real-time collaboration features make the workflow much more efficient. Overall, Smartling helps me focus on the quality of my work without getting lost in technicalities.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Some advanced features — like context integration or visual mode — may require a bit of time to fully understand or are sometimes inconsistent across projects. Also, the platform occasionally feels a bit heavy when working with very large projects or slow connections, but it's generally stable and reliable.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling helps streamline and centralize the entire translation process. Instead of juggling multiple files, emails, and tools, I can work directly in one platform that connects everyone involved — project managers, developers, and translators. This eliminates confusion, reduces delays, and ensures consistency across all content. Features like translation memory, glossary enforcement, and visual context improve both speed and quality, allowing me to focus on accurate and context-aware translations. As a translator, this means less guesswork and more time spent on actual translation.

 ### 2. Unbiased feedback from a linguist on cooperation with Smartling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergiy B. | Translator, Editor, Tester, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Feedback for the Smartling LSP:
* Absolutely reliable.
* Streamlined work processes, from clear onboarding and objective tests of linguistic skills to project assignment, dealing with Q&As, and the payment process.
* Helpful and friendly team.
* Interesting projects.

Feedback for the Smartling CAT platform:
* Easy-to-use, stable, and with all the most popular CAT features available.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Feedback for the Smartling LSP:
* There's nothing I dislike about them. They are great.

Feedback for the Smartling CAT platform:
* The platform is convenient and has all the requested CAT features, but has minor flaws in dealing with tags (it gets better, though).

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Smartling platform streamlines the localization processes and utilizes features of CAT-tools, translation memories, term bases, machine translation, etc. to ensure the predictably-high level of localization of every project.
The system is extremely easy-to-use and requires no significant learning process.
A good built-in quality assessment system ensures fewer false positives and more actual issues that require correction and improvement, thus improving the translation quality.
The support team is always ready to help when needed and provides assistance with various issues and queries, as well as coordination between various parties.
Also, the Smartling platform takes security matters seriously and has been implementing various solutions to ensure protection of information for years.

 ### 3. Firsthand witness to translation process transformed over 8 years as an EN-ES translator

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonia M. | English into Spanish translator, reviewer and QA evaluator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Having their own development team means that they are always there to help if some feature is not working as expected and they are open to suggestions to make the translation workflow smoother.
I've been translating with them for 8 years now and I use the platform on daily basis. It's pretty straightforward and, since it's web-based, no instalation is necessary.
Even though you cannot translate from a smartphone, I'm still able to do the rest of the actios, such as check the list of current jobs, accept the jobs available, see an estimate of the words to translate... Basically, everything except translating or reviewing per se. This means, for example, that I can receive a request email and check all the details to see if I can accept it knowing that I will be able to deliver it on time, all on the go.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Being web-based, sometimes the segments in progress don't get saved properly if I change from one computer to another. I get a warning message, but I'm not sure what are the actual consequences to the translation still in progress.
Also, really big jobs (over 2000 segments) are still problematic. It gets slow, the filter of the translation pannel doesn't work and the QA check gets glitchy, too.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me get a steady stream of work on monthly basis in one single platform. PMs reach out from time to time with new accounts that meet my expertise and the content is right down my alley, so I can translate with even more confidence.

 ### 4. Seamless Integration and Automation Elevate Our Workflow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark E. | Localization Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The primary advantage of this tool is its seamless integration with our technology infrastructure, including our CMS and repositories. This allows for fully automated content ingestion and delivery, which removes the need for manual processes and reduces inefficiencies. Additionally, the centralized management of translation memory guarantees strong terminological consistency. The advanced visual context features further support global brand accuracy and ensure consistent messaging across markets.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

At times, the customization options and the level of detail available in some dashboards and metrics reports—such as those tracking progress and quality—could be more intuitive and thorough. This would allow for a more detailed analysis of ROI and supplier efficiency.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling has streamlined my workflows, significantly cutting down the time required to launch new content and reducing the likelihood of errors. It has equipped me with the tools I need to maintain full control over both quality and process in multiple languages, which helps ensure that our brand voice stays consistent worldwide. If your goal is to achieve rapid scalability by removing manual operational tasks, Smartling is indispensable.

 ### 5. Reliable collaboration with timely payments, steady workflow, and constructive reviews.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad H. | Freelance Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Smartling offers a very user-friendly platform with straightforward implementation and useful features that support my daily work. I use it frequently and find the workflow efficient, with reliable integration and consistent support. Payments are always timely, and the revision process—though sometimes critical—adds real value by enhancing quality and skills.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The main challenge I face is that most projects are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, which requires constant monitoring of the platform and sometimes long hours at my desk. While I understand this approach ensures fairness and equal opportunities for all vendors, I believe there could be a more balanced way to distribute workflow.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling streamlines the translation workflow by centralizing projects, providing clear instructions, and offering an easy-to-use platform. This saves me time, reduces errors, ensures consistency, and, through its revision process, helps me continuously improve the quality of my work.

 ### 6. Easy-to-Use Platform That Saves Hours on CRM Translations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The platform is easy to use, and it saves me hours every week. It’s one of the best tools for powering through translations for our CRM tools.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The platform can feel slow at times, and although the interface looks modern, navigation can be difficult. For larger projects, the translation editor also feels limited, with not enough customization options to work efficiently.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Smartling addresses the inefficiency of manual, fragmented localization processes by streamlining and automating key workflows. It integrates directly with content platforms and leverages AI/machine learning to accelerate translation, helping reduce costs and shorten time-to-market.

 ### 7. Helpful translation tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ngoc P. | Product Language Specialist (Vietnamese), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Translation keys help locate exact strings.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The glossary function is a bit hard to work around.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good for website/app translation thanks to the tags/keys/context

 ### 8. A practical and reliable platform for translation tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lalit S. | Freelancer (Translation  Editing, Proofreading  Website localisation  Subtitling , Voice-over), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

What sets this platform apart is how it has transformed anonymous translators into recognized contributors with a clear identity. Beyond that, it is equipped with a rich array of technical features designed to streamline and elevate the translation process.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

There’s nothing significant enough to dislike about this platform, but improvements can be made. For instance, translators should be able to view reviewer changes even after submitting a job.
Additionally, notifications should be sent immediately when a job is posted, as they are sometimes delayed by several hours.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a translator, I’ve had the opportunity to work on many large projects on this platform. I have been active here for several years, consistently receiving assignments, and the fact that this tool is free is a significant advantage for me.

 ### 9. The best translation tool on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodolfo A. | Linguist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I’ve been working with Smartling for almost ten years, and it’s by far the easiest and most intuitive platform I’ve used. The interface is clean and attractive, with all the features translators need to get their work done efficiently. What I appreciate most is how their team is always innovating and rolling out new technology, making sure linguists have access to the latest tools to simplify our job.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The Quality Checks feature could be improved by adding an option to select and ignore multiple issues at once. This would make it easier for translators to dismiss false positives of the same type instead of having to go through them one by one.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling simplifies translation process, helping linguists deliver localized content to a global audience faster.

 ### 10. Visual Translating Power, Setup Overwhelms

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I really like that Smartling allows translators to see exactly how their strings look, which eliminates blind translating.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The initial setup and configuration of advanced workflows can be overwhelming. I found it quite difficult.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartling for translating and it lets translators see exactly how their strings look, which eliminates blind translating.

 ### 11. Powerful Automation with an Intuitive Smartling Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

What stands out most about Smartling is how it combines powerful automation with a really intuitive user experience

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

It feels to complex for smaller workflows

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us deliver faster, more consistent multilingual experiences for clients, reduces operational overhead, and gives both us and our clients better visibility into the localization process.

 ### 12. Smartling makes things easy.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renee Wei . | 自由译者, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I really like the AI Translation and Machine Translation features on Smartling. They provide subject-specific translation and the language and wording are quite acceptable for some fields, such as app localization and academic reports. It helps me save a lot of time in translating and editing as a linguist.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

I am happy with Smartling for most of the time. However, in some rare cases, I find that when the visual context is of a big size, like a big excel file, it will cause the platform to crash or be unresponsive.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The features on smartling can ensure translation quality and accelerate the translation and editing process, such as AI Translation, Machine Translation and the Quality Check feature. I can do more and deliver satisfying outcomes in the same time frame.

 ### 13. Reliable Translation, Needs UI Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dory K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I trust the quality of the translation Smartling provides.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The interface was a bit confusing, takes time to get used to it. It needs to be more user-friendly for an average person to be able to jump in and onboard quite quickly.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling fills our translation gap since we lack an internal team.

 ### 14. Reliable, user-friendly, and designed for efficient translation workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudio C. | Translator, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Smartling’s cloud-based TMS makes it easy to keep track of translation work and earnings in real time. I also like that I can focus on the translation itself without having to search for clients on my own, since projects are already organized and ready to go. The interface is intuitive and helps me stay productive.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

If a client responds to an issue after the original deadline, I lose access to the file unless it is reassigned. It would be helpful if the platform allowed translators to continue editing in such cases.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling provides a centralized place to manage translation projects, which saves me from juggling multiple tools or client platforms. Compared with other CAT tools I’ve used, it streamlines my workflow and reduces time spent on admin tasks.

 ### 15. All-in-one solution with great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haena K. | Freelance Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

It’s easy to use and very intuitive. I can check TB and TM in real time, which makes my work faster and smoother. I also like being able to flag and track issues, as it helps me communicate with PMs and clients quickly and get feedback. The Smartling PMs are always friendly and responsive, and the automated invoice system is very convenient.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

It’s difficult to manage large projects because the platform slows down. Also, more detailed sorting and filtering options would make handling big projects easier.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s very convenient to handle everything in one platform—translation tasks, issue flagging, and invoices. Even if a problem comes up, the PMs respond quickly, so I rarely experience any major inconvenience.

 ### 16. An excellent client with excellent software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zsolt B. | Language specialist, lead translator, reviewer, editor, language lead, Translation and Localization, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I have been using Smartling for over 10 years and have been a vendor for over 5 years. I have used countless CAT tools throughout my career, and I have to say that Smartling has always been one of the best, if not the absolute best, and I am not at all surprised that it is so widely used. As a supplier, I appreciate the excellent support and thoughtful project management, which makes our collaboration a breeze. And their machine-translation engine is one of the very best, too.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Occasional authentication issues when opening multiple tasks simultaneously, but these are very rare (and I am being a stickler here).

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides all the tools and procedures needed to support the translation process, so I can focus on the content without distractions.

 ### 17. Good platform to work in

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valeria P. | Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The platform is very user-friendly and you can easily view TM, glossary entries and other attachments to use as reference for your translation. The Context options is very helpful as it lets you view the way your translation will be shown in the webpage and adjust it if needed. You can also easily open an issue to ask for clarification or review on lines for which you need additional context or other relevant information and see whether other translators did as well.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Some technical issues (e.g. with partial matches to the TM not showing up in the translation and unsaved changes randomly popping up) could be improved.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides me with a free platform on which I can translate with almost no issue and any issue can be quickly and easily fixed by the Project Management or the client. In the past, many clients expected you to pay for platforms or software in order to work, so I feel like this is really helping me getting more work overall. Its tools also help me provide a better, quality translation in less time.

 ### 18. Enhancing Workflow Efficiency for Linguists

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yuling y. | freelance linguist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

1. Clean and user-friendly interface.
2. Intuitive design for core functions—easy for new users to get started quickly.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

1.	The current default sorting on the dashboard is based on the Overall Job Due Date, which is helpful for PMs, but not ideal for linguists. For us, sorting by Task Due Date is more practical, as it helps us easily find the next most urgent task after submitting a job. It would be great if the default sorting behavior could be optimized by user role—PMs see jobs by Overall Job Due Date, while linguists see them by Task Due Date.
2. It would be helpful to have an option to automatically open the next latest-due task after submitting a job.
3. After submitting a job, the confirmation window should also display the total earnings for that job. This would make it easier to verify the pay and take a screenshot if any issue arises.
4. When leaving comments, it would be useful if the system could automatically include the target language, so reviewers know which language is rising the issue .
5. For job feedback emails, clicking through to Smartling often shows no information about string changes. Even using filters doesn’t always surface the relevant content, which makes it hard to improve based on feedback efficiently.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clean and user-friendly interface.

 ### 19. Easy to use, clear functions and optimal work management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicoletta M. | English>Italian Translator + Proofreader, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I love using Smartling mainly for the context function, which is so helpful when translating: just one click and you can see the final result of your work to check if it really fits in context. Also, the ease of checking style guides and attached documents is unparalleled. I really appreciate the fact that I can see issues created by other linguists and they can see mine, we are able to spot and solve together any inconsistency or doubt just by looking at each other's comments.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Sometimes when I open an issue targeted to the client, they reply after the translation deadline and I am not really sure how to proceed because I no longer have access to the file, that is really the only issue I have.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a translator so all I can say is that Smartling is a perfect tool for translating and managing translations.

 ### 20. Accurate Translations with Effortless API Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omar F.

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I like Smartling for its APIs. They can be easily used for multiple purposes like uploading and downloading translations. It also allows our team and company to translate strings to various languages with very high accuracy. The initial setup was pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

I find the insights in the UI regarding jobs and their actions could be better. Extra logging would also be appreciated.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling allows my team to translate strings accurately into various languages, and its APIs are easy to use for tasks like uploading and downloading translations.

 ### 21. I highly recommend using Smartling as a translation and localization tool!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peng W. | Freelance Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Smartling offers an intuitive user interface that simplifies the translation process for both content creators and translators. The platform provides real-time collaboration tools, allowing teams to work together seamlessly across different time zones and locations. This efficiency saves time and resources, making it easier for companies to manage multilingual content at scale.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The potential drawback is the learning curve associated with mastering all of Smartling’s features. While the platform offers robust tools for managing translations, including terminology management and quality assurance checks, these features can be overwhelming for new users. Without adequate training or support, user might not fully leverage the platform’s capabilities, leading to inefficiencies.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling improves the accuracy and consistency of translations. Inconsistent terminology can confuse customers and damage a brand’s reputation. Smartling uses advanced algorithms and machine learning to ensure that translations are not only accurate but also consistent across all languages and platforms. For example, if a company has specific branding guidelines or industry-specific terminology, Smartling can incorporate these rules into its translation engine, ensuring that every piece of content adheres to the desired standards.

 ### 22. Efficient Translation with Easy File Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I like that I can easily upload an Excel and download an Excel, which I can use directly in my survey platform. This feature results in less manual work for me. The initial setup of Smartling was also very easy.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

There are two setups for European and overseas languages in our case. I would prefer to just have it in one ad-hoc folder.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Smartling solves translation needs for many languages and reduces manual work by letting me easily upload and download Excel files for survey integration.

 ### 23. A delightful working experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

The Language Services team is lovely to communicate with and highly professional, while the platform has always proved very functional, intuitive and well-conceived. The software is plug-and-play, which streamlines the translation process, and the support team is always reactive and helpful. I've had the chance to collaborate with a pool of talented and seasoned linguists along the way and the whole experience is perfect balance for me as a freelancer.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

In 8 years I have not run into anything to dislike about Smartling.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a freelancer Smartling provides an all-inclusive package of translation tasks + efficient software + accounting which greatly streamlines my work as a freelancer.

 ### 24. A great CAT tool to work with

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Features such as machine or AI-powered translation, translation memory, glossary, and quality checks help improve productivity and ensure consistent, high-quality work. I find the Context tab extremely useful for providing accurate translations. Additionally, it allows you to submit queries, receive notifications, and even handle billing, which saves a lot of time.

In short, it's a comprehensive and reliable CAT tool, and the team's support is excellent!

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about it.

 ### 25. Clean, Fast and Context-Friendly Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I've used Smartling mainly as a project manager for over 10 years, but I’ll sometimes jump in for review or editing. The feature I appreciate the most here is the visual context. With file types like IDML (which we handle a lot) it’s helpful to actually see how the text will sit in the final design.

Smartling also provides good visibility on freelancers and where things are in progress. The platform itself is always quick and responsive, and the interface is clean, which makes it easy to onboard new translators.

Finally, the glossary feature has been improving steadily, which makes consistency a lot easier to maintain across projects. Compared to Phrase, a lot of consideration has gone into the CAT tool for freelancers, which also helps to keep them using the platform confidently.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The parsing engine struggles sometimes when files are heavily segmented—like PDFs exported to Word. It doesn’t always handle them well, and we sometimes spend extra time working on fragmented strings.

As with all CAT tools, it’s also very string-focused, which can be limiting with certain file types. SRT subtitle files, for example, create issues with Asian languages where syntax doesn't flow as expected. It's not anything that other CAT tools are necessarily doing better, but I feel there could be a smoother process.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Onboarding freelancers to new tools is always a struggle, but the platform's reliability makes it easier to keep good relationships. The support team are really quick to respond with any technical concerns, so that also helps.

 ### 26. Translations done accurately, quickly, and hassle-free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I love logging on and knowing exactly what I have to translate, who the client is, when it's due, and the scope and instructions... all easily available in an intuitive platform. The technology and workflow are great too. Strings, glossaries, and translation memories are clear, which makes work very enjoyable. Hitting the Submit key is very satisfying too, when everything is done and ready to go.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

I think there is always room for improvement when you're dealing with translation platforms. As a translator, occasionally something pops up where I say, "Ah, this workflow could be a little different here". Luckily though, Smartling is always on top of this and constantly updating and making changes to improve the platform for us.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling is always growing and adapting. There is always new technology being implemented in the translation workflow, and that makes our work move faster and more accurately. So, new AI assisted functions are working more and more smoothly, making it easier to trust the results that come in.

 ### 27. Smooth workflow and responsive project managers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The streamlined workflow is definitely the biggest advantage. It simplifies the entire process, from claiming new jobs to translating, reviewing, and submitting work. I also value the automatic invoicing and the fact that payments are always punctual.

The translation editor is intuitive and well-organized. All the essential features a translator needs—such as the style guide, context window, and search function—are easily accessible on the screen. It is much easier to use than a complicated desktop CAT tool.

Another great thing is the availability of the project managers. You can contact them easily by email, and they are always quick to respond and solve any problems fast.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The editor is user-friendly for small jobs, but it becomes frustratingly simple when dealing with large or split projects. It lacks the advanced control and features of a true desktop CAT tool, offering limited control over TM, glossary, and QA settings. This often makes maintaining consistency across large jobs a major challenge.

With the introduction of new AI review/post-editing jobs, the rates have drastically decreased. There is no easy way to see the exact total pay for a job before claiming it, making financial planning impossible.

With the rise of AI, translators are now expected to review rather than translate, and the daily output requirements have increased sharply, which can negatively impact quality, as there is only so much the human brain can handle in a day.

The quality of AI translations is inconsistent: While it can deliver good results for simple, low-context content, its performance drops for projects that require more customization and where consistency is key, such as larger or more technical projects. On the positive side, I have noticed that the AI output has improved over time, and with dedicated human expertise to customize and refine the models, I am confident that its quality will continue to improve rapidly.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling greatly streamlines my workflow by taking care of all the essential administrative tasks. As a translator, this enables me to concentrate on my main strength—producing high-quality translations—without being distracted by less productive activities such as finding clients, preparing complex files, or handling the invoicing process.

 ### 28. Quick, Simple Translation Workflow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Fairly quick and simple workflow to create translation jobs.
AIHT flow speeds up the process.
AMs and CSMs are quite quick to respond to emails.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

No concrete deadlines for large jobs (such as I normally submit).
Pricing still a bit unclear for different levels of matches. It would be good to see somewhere in the UI how much of your contract you've used up in the year to date.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing down the cost of translations.
Using AI to speed up translation process.

 ### 29. Smooth operation experience and great team support!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Smartling is intuitive, reliable, and makes working on localization projects much smoother. I particularly appreciate its user-friendly interface, real-time QC feature and excellent system stability. It has greatly streamlined my daily workflow and improved collaboration across teams. A truly excellent tool for professional linguists.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

It would be great if you could consider adding a feature to highlight end-user instructions directly in the workbench without clicking the specific string, or allow filtering of highlighted strings to improve review/editing efficiency.

Also, a batch-ignore function for false QC errors would be very helpful. For example, ifa verb like “messaging” is listed in the glossary, QC may incorrectly flag the noun like “messages” as an error for not matching the glossary term. Dismissing these one by one takes extra time, so the ability to ignore such cases in batch would improve efficiency.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling helps streamline my translation workflow by centralizing all tasks in one place, from translation to review. It reduces time spent switching between tools, ensures consistency through integrated TM and quality checks, and provides clear visibility into deadlines and requirements. This makes collaboration smoother, improves overall translation quality, and allows me to focus more on the content itself rather than administrative overhead.

 ### 30. Effective and reliable Translation Management Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Smartling is one of my favorite Translation Management Platforms. I use it on a daily basis and, overall, I am very satisfied with it. Translation and proofreading projects are easy to manage, and project managers are always prompt in answering my questions, no matter the topic (project-specific, billing, or other). The machine translations provided in the Editor are above average in quality. Additionally, the Concordance Search function is user-friendly and effective.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

If I have specific questions regarding a translation, it sometimes takes several days to receive a response from clients. Additionally, there is a significant number of projects consisting of only a few words. In such cases, logging in and opening the Editor often takes more time than completing the actual translation.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can manage translations, ask clients questions that arise during the process, and handle billing all on a centralized platform. The machine translations available in the Editor significantly speed up my workflow.

 ### 31. Efficient and user-friendly, with room for QA and QOL improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Smartling makes project handling straightforward. Accepting or rejecting jobs is quick and simple, and I like that clients can easily access tasks and respond to queries directly in the platform. Another useful feature is having the final file preview available by default for most tasks, which helps ensure quality and context.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The auto QA settings can sometimes feel overly strict, and adjusting them usually requires contacting a PM. I’d also appreciate more robust filtering and sorting options for strings AND segments within tasks, which would make large projects easier to manage.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I am a translator, Smartling makes my day-to-day work more practical because I don't need to handle countless email threads related to my jobs. I access the tool, accept the tasks I want and get to work right away. Invoicing is automated and done within Smartling as well, so that's another admin task I do not have to worry about.

 ### 32. A centralized platform that allows to focus on what really matters.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I appreciate that tasks are assigned automatically and that delivery can be done directly on the platform. Invoicing is also automated. There is no time wasted on communication, so we can focus on getting the job done. We also have complete visibility of current and upcoming tasks. The tool is easy to use and intuitive. The help center is comprehensive, and the support team is responsive when needed.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Quality checks are not optimized and sometimes lead to numerous false positives (for example, adding non-breaking spaces is flagged as an error, even though they are essential for a high-quality translation), which makes this step long and tedious and makes it difficult to identify true positives. The fact that everything is automated takes away the human touch: tasks can be removed from our queue without notice, which is disrespectful of our time and our work.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Translation Management

 ### 33. Strong automation and in-context editing tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina V. | Language Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The in-context view is one of the strongest features — seeing where the text will appear helps avoid mistakes with tone, spacing, or formatting. Glossaries and translation memory are well integrated, making it easier to stay consistent with terminology and client preferences. Built-in QA checks (like placeholder validation and tag consistency) reduce errors and speed up delivery. The cloud-based system means no need to install software and projects are always up to date.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Performance issues sometimes appear with larger projects, making navigation and search slower. As a translator, I also have limited control over some settings like translation memory management, which can be frustrating.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By providing in-context previews, it removes the guesswork of where and how text will appear, reducing errors and client revisions. Its integrated glossaries and translation memory keep terminology consistent across projects, saving time and ensuring smoother collaboration. Automated QA checks handle technical details like tags and placeholders, allowing translators to focus on style and accuracy.

 ### 34. Powerful translation tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Petra D. | Traductrice gérante, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I use Smartling daily as a full-time professional translator. The platform is intuitive yet powerful, with a robust translation memory and fully customizable glossary. The team behind Smartling is responsive, supportive, and always easy to work with.

Projects offered through the platform are varied and engaging, which keeps the work interesting. I also appreciate the flexibility to decline assignments whenever my schedule is full.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The machine translations provided are often of low quality and require a complete rewrite. In many cases, editing them takes just as much time as translating from scratch.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexible working hours, very little billing or bookkeeping required, and payments are always made on time.

 ### 35. It's great to be able to focus solely on the translation work.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

As a freelance translator, constantly exchanging emails with agency project managers to complete a single job is always exhausting. Attaching and sending the completed translation files one by one is especially so. While many agencies have recently systematized and automated this entire process, I find Smartling to be the most optimized for translators. For web-based CAT tools, it not only handles term bases and translation memory searches but also provides real-time previews of webpage files, Word documents, and PowerPoint files for context verification. It also excels with auxiliary features like highlighting related sentences, making it highly satisfying to use.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

While it doesn't happen often, occasionally when all translators within a team decline a specific task in the system and the project manager fails to notice in time, work tends to pile up on a small number of translators. If even those few translators decline the work, the tasks do move to the “Available to Accept” menu item so any translator can freely claim them. However, this process feels somewhat clunky.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling is helping me quickly and efficiently handle translation work for other clients. Thanks to Smartling's CAT tool, I'm managing translation projects more effectively than usual.

 ### 36. Fast, Accurate Translations with a Touch of Complexity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I like Smartling for its powerful and flexible translations. It provides fast, accurate translations across many languages, which is crucial for our work with multiple global brands. The integration with SFCC is also valuable.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

I find it technical to use, especially the UI settings for the various translation settings. It could be better with better SFCC Page Designer integrations.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartling to speed up time to market for EU markets with fast, accurate translations across many languages.

 ### 37. Efficient translator tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Smartling is an all-in-one surface for translation where I can consult style guides and glossaries, check context if provided, and check or file queries on the same screen. It's one of the fastest translator tools that I've ever used in terms of being connected to the server (saving my work) and progressing through my work using highly efficient keyboard shortcuts; it's easily one of my favorites, if not my most favorite. I also love that it's easy to keep track of work volumes and translation changes/feedback on the platform itself.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

It can be hard to translate strings without context, which is not always available. I'm also not a fan of the sequence of strings being so easily changed especially when working with multiple pages.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of purchase orders and invoicing are additional steps for me, and it's very convenient that I don't have to worry about it with Smartling.

 ### 38. Affordable, Easy Setup, Great for Translation Needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate M. | Revenue, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I appreciate Smartling's reasonable pricing, which was a significant factor in choosing the platform. Their good customer service stands out as well, providing reassurance and valuable support whenever needed. Setting up Smartling was a breeze, which made the initial adaptation stress-free and straightforward. The software's translation capabilities are incredibly helpful for our business, streamlining processes and improving efficiency by making translation tasks easy to manage. This robust functionality directly benefits our operations. The overall satisfaction is evident in my willingness to recommend Smartling highly, almost rating it a nine on a ten-point scale. Furthermore, it meets all our current needs comprehensively, eliminating any desire for immediate changes.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Nothing

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartling for translation, which is easy to use and beneficial for my business.

 ### 39. A Reliable and User-Friendly Platform for Freelance Translators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I use Smartling almost daily, and it helps me manage multiple clients seamlessly. The platform is intuitive and easy to use, with a clear interface and robust features. Even though it is used by multiple clients and agencies, managing projects is straightforward and never confusing. From a service perspective, the jobs I receive through Smartling are flexible enough to fit my schedule, and the payment structure is transparent and easy to track — which is especially valuable as a freelance translator. Project managers are approachable, and their responses are always prompt and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

I sometimes wish there were clearer ways to see which TM entries were actually used in final deliveries. It would also be helpful to access the final version after reviewer edits, as this would support quality improvement and better alignment with client expectations.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smartling to manage translation projects from different clients in one place, and it’s easy to keep things organized. The platform helps me follow workflows smoothly and stay on schedule. I also like that the payment system is clear, so I can check my work and earnings easily. As a freelancer, that’s very helpful.

 ### 40. I use Smartling for translation, proofreading, and sometimes for MTPE.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

It is an online CAT tool that is easy and quick to get started with. The ability to see the texts to be translated in context is convenient. The ability to search in multilingual TMs is convenient. I use it daily. Customer support is available.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

The current interface is less practical and intuitive for translators (see filtering to open multiple projects from the same sub-account at once). Opening many small projects from the same sub-account at once and the arrival template take longer to download (even with a good Internet connection), there is no longer any division of long content into pages, which is less effective in terms of navigation and considerably slows down the translation/review effort because you have to scroll to move from one segment to another, and there is no longer the page division that allowed for page jumps. In French, we need to add non-breaking spaces and the software marks this as an error. It takes time to remove the false error message for each string.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The advantage of online CAT tools is that there is no need to install anything locally. The ability to connect to projects from the office, home, or on the go (while respecting confidentiality) is very convenient. There is also two-factor authentication and scheduled password changes, which are practical. Access to the general TM is very convenient, compared to some projects/clients that only work with restricted project TMs.

 ### 41. My working relationship with Smartling is everything I could ask for as a freelancer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

As an English-Spanish freelance translator, what I like the most about working with Smartling is the freedom that we have to communicate directly with account owners and managers to raise issues when things aren't clear enough or context is missing, suggest potential source changes, track client preferences straight with the relevant parties, etc.

Smartling trusts its external linguists to be involved in the accounts they work with, thus being able to make the best decisions possible for the final product.

Moreover, the PM team is always at our beck and call to provide support.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

I cannot really thing of anything worth mentioning. I am greatly appreciative of the Smartling team and the way they operate, and, also, super comfortable working with them.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work externally for Smartling as a freelance English-Spanish translator, so there isn't really anything Smartling helps me solve. What I can say, though, is that it is a very user-friendly, all-in-one platform that works fast and smoothly.

 ### 42. Great pricing and easy for content teams, but lacks mobile/web SDKs

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammad S. | Software Engineering Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

Good pricing, and easy to use for our content team

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

No SDKs for mobile or web apps, only APIs

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it as our Translation Management System to update all translations by the content team

 ### 43. Smartling’s Translation Memory Speeds Localization and Cuts Long-Term Costs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The translation memory feature in Smartling is very useful because it helps avoid repeated translations, which saves time and reduces costs. Overall, Smartling speeds up localization, improves translation quality, and helps lower long-term costs for global businesses.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Updating translations in Smartling is a big issue for me, because I have to update them manually for each individual string, one by one.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a quick way to get optimized translations in any language, with the option to add a review step using our local employees when needed. It supports the localization of our products at a global level and helps us keep the content aligned for different markets.

 ### 44. Using Smartling has made managing localization projects faster, clearer, and more collaborative!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah A. | Lead Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

As a PM managing an agency account, Smartling has been a reliable and efficient partner for localization and project management. The platform supports smooth workflows, provides clear visual context for both translators and PMs, and enables strong collaboration with vendors. Overall, it helps deliver high-quality, on-time multilingual content.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

As an agency account owner, it would be helpful to have a report per user available at the end of each month on the admin side. At the moment, we have just one report which includes all users' work!

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling automates workflows and improving collaboration.
This helps by speeding up delivery, ensuring quality, and simplifying project management.

 ### 45. Time-saving and user friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariana C. | Tradutor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The most valuable aspect of using Smartling for me is the amount of time it saves when completing tasks. I find the broad range of features I regularly use to speed up my workflow to be very effective.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

I would really appreciate having a font size setting, since I typically need the text to be quite large. Unfortunately, Smartling doesn't offer an option to adjust the font size, which makes it less comfortable for me to use.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool is helping me enhance the accuracy of my translations thanks to its useful range of QA features, and it also speeds up my workflow.

 ### 46. Good and easy to use system

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anke B. | Translator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

System usually runs smoothly without outages. Shortcuts work well with option to change them to personal preference. Good interface, easy to navigate and find the information needed.

Good support from PMs on some clients.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

MT and AI suggestions often require a lot of rework. For example even for longstanding clients the formal vs informal address is wrong in every string.

Reliance on PMs for their specific clients means questions sometimes don't get answered for a day because of time zone differences. It would be helpful to get a quick answer from a different PM sometimes where that's possible.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling helps with the translation process.

 ### 47. Very nice, streamlined, fair freelancer experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

The highly automated experience, particularly the distribution of translation jobs, and that you're able to decline when your plans change.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Within the editor, it's sometimes a little difficult to jump between segments when using a mouse. Sometimes you end up at the beginning of a segment, sometimes at the end of it.

Tag placement within the editor is a bit clunky at times, the new version too. It would be nice to be able to cut out and paste individual tags without the second tag of the pair disappearing.

Also, a dark mode would be very beneficial, for the editor at least.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes accepting jobs very easy, usually only requiring "manual" email communication in the case of deadline adjustments. That saves me a lot of time and gives me the flexibility to pick the jobs that best fit my schedule at the time.

 ### 48. Streamlined Workflows and Excellent Support for Linguists

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hokyun Y. | Linguist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

As a freelance linguist working with Smartling, I have found the platform to be exceptionally well designed for both translation and collaboration. One of the biggest advantages is that Smartling provides its own web-based CAT tool, so there is no need for separate software. The interface is intuitive, user-friendly, and makes it easy to stay focused on the actual work rather than technical overhead.

The invoicing process is streamlined and fully automated, which significantly reduces administrative burden and allows me to spend more time on translation itself. Communication with project managers has always been smooth, timely, and highly professional. I also appreciate the clarity of instructions, the consistent workflows, and the overall respect Smartling shows toward its linguist community.

In addition, the platform offers useful features such as translation memory and glossary integration, which help maintain consistency and improve efficiency across projects. The job assignment and delivery process is straightforward, and I always feel supported in my work.

Overall, Smartling stands out as one of the most professional and linguist-friendly platforms I’ve worked with. It not only simplifies the translation process but also fosters a collaborative environment where linguists can do their best work.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

No major complaints — the system works smoothly and the support team is responsive whenever needed.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartling eliminates the hassle of using separate CAT tools by providing a built-in, intuitive web-based platform. This not only saves time but also makes the translation process much smoother. The automated invoicing system reduces the administrative workload, which is often a challenge for freelancers, and allows me to focus more on actual translation work. In addition, Smartling centralizes communication with project managers, ensuring that instructions are clear and collaboration is efficient. Overall, it solves the common issues of scattered tools, manual admin tasks, and inconsistent workflows, ultimately making my work faster, easier, and more professional.

 ### 49. Amazing Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yamila M. | Senior Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

I like that their team tends to be on top of everything, they do very useful follow-ups and the platform allows you to receive automatic reminders of the jobs to be completed.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

As we work with freelancers, sometimes the double step verification can be overwhelming since we cannot log in from their account, and the process becomes slow.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with linguists and the translation process becomes easier and faster since it centralizes translation and diffeerent localization workflows in one place. It keeps translation memories and glossaries consistent across projects and automates file handoff and delivery without complex messaging to the client. Besides, it
simplifies the collaboration across translators, and project managers.

 ### 50. Streamlining Translation for Global Success

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Smartling?**

What I absolutely love about Smartling is how much time it saves me! The automation and integrations make everything run so smoothly, freeing me from tedious manual tasks and giving me more time to focus on quality. And the visual context feature—wow, it’s a total game-changer! No more guesswork, just accurate translations right from the start. Smartling truly feels like it was built for people who want the perfect mix of efficiency and accuracy.

**What do you dislike about Smartling?**

Smartling’s AI translation engine, Foundation, is a huge time-saver, but it’s not flawless. For nuanced or highly creative content, it can sometimes fall short. It’s great for speeding up the process, but I wouldn’t use it without oversight. Think of it as a supportive assistant rather than a full replacement for human translators.

**What problems is Smartling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, Smartling solves the constant back-and-forth that usually comes with managing translations. Instead of dealing with messy spreadsheets, email chains, and version control issues, everything is in one place. That alone saves me a lot of frustration.

The automation features also make a big difference—I don't have to waste time on manual tasks like importing and exporting files. It's not perfect, and there are things that could be improved, but overall, it makes my job easier and helps me work more efficiently.
