"Meshy AI: Unleash Your Creativity"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I enjoyed trying out this software to see if it could aid me in one of my personal projects and I was not disappointed. It allowed me to rapidly visualize my concepts faster than it would have using other methods.

The entire process is a goldmine for a creator's pipeline and could be a blessing to any indie devs who are constructing games or practically anyone who needs meshes/3D materials

The texture capabilities were also interesting and having the ability to rig models right inside the software was very intuitive.

Meshy AI also is connected to a ton of other software like Blender or other 3D tools, making the transition between other software seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Sometimes the models came back either missing some details or with added details, and the texturing wasn't strong. I think that's not too much of an issue as you can just bring the obj into your favorite software and sculpt/texture paint it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Creative, and Promising — Meshy Simplifies 3D Design"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I use Meshy for creative projects involving 3D design, character creation, and 3D printing, and my overall experience has been very positive.

The tool can quickly generate coherent 3D models from simple prompts, opening up many possibilities for prototyping, figurine creation, and animation preparation. The time savings are significant, especially for someone who is not a professionally trained 3D modeler.

The rendering quality is often impressive, with clean and usable shapes produced in just a few minutes. For creative or educational projects, Meshy clearly stands out as a powerful tool that helps make 3D creation more accessible.

There are still a few limitations: some anatomical or stylistic details may require refinement in external software, and finer control over certain parameters could be improved. However, these aspects appear to be evolving quickly, which is encouraging.

Overall, Meshy is already a very promising tool capable of turning an idea into a tangible 3D base within minutes. For anyone working in creative design, 3D printing, or rapid visualization, it is definitely worth trying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Areas for improvement:

Some finer anatomical or stylistic details may still require light post-editing in external software.

More precise control over certain parameters would further improve the creative workflow.

Results can occasionally vary depending on the prompt, which is understandable for a rapidly evolving AI tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Turning photos into quick 3D base models without starting from scratch"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I like that I can turn a photo into a 3D model pretty fast without dealing with too many settings. Most of the time I just upload an image, wait a bit, and I already have something I can work on.

I usually use it to get a base model, then I add textures and colors myself. It’s not always clean on the first try, but for me that’s fine because I’m going to edit it anyway. It saves me time, especially when I just want to test an idea and move on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

ometimes the result is a bit messy, especially around edges or small details. I usually have to fix the model before using it, so it’s not really plug and play.

Also, with more complex photos, the output can be hit or miss. It works good enough for simple stuff, but I wouldn’t fully trust it for very detailed models without extra cleanup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing 3D Models from Prompts or Images—Far Better Than Manual Modeling"
What do you like best about Meshy?

Meshy does an amazing job generating 3D files from either a written prompt or just a few images. The results are far superior to anything I could model myself in other 3D software. It’s also extremely easy to use, and the paid Meshy 6 modeling is unbelievably detailed and clear.

I honestly wish I had switched to the paid model earlier, because the models it produces are so much crisper, cleaner, and more resin-printer-friendly. I’ve been using it for a few hours per day and have already amassed quite a collection of models—something I wouldn’t have been able to do in that same timeframe on my own. It also integrates nicely with Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

It would be nice to have an option to use video as an input for creating a 3D model. This isn’t really a dislike, more of a recommendation for an added feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very useful system"
What do you like best about Meshy?

An easy to use system, with lots of different options available. The option to add reference pics to the image to 3d is very helpful for capturing a model from different angles, and the option to have 4 free retries is very valuable. Text to image prompting is very accurate, and the newest custom pose options are also very handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Face details on models could be improved as sometimes they are vague or have very wild additions such as a strange mouth or other features. It would also be nice to be able to generate a preview before it charges you credits, in case it doesn't generate what you want and credits are wasted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect helper for 3D printing and TTRPG"
What do you like best about Meshy?

The speed is the main win. I can go from a concept (“bandit captain with a hood”, “cursed altar”, “mushroom forest scatter”) to a printable starting point much faster than a traditional workflow. It’s also great for adding uniqueness—NPCs, monsters, and terrain pieces don’t all look like they came from the same asset pack. For 3D printing, it’s really helpful as an idea engine and a base mesh generator that I can tweak before slicing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

For 3D printing specifically, it can still require cleanup: thin parts, small details, or shapes that won’t print well sometimes need adjustments (thickening, simplifying, fixing weird geometry). Results can be inconsistent depending on the prompt, so I occasionally have to regenerate a few times to get something clean enough. And when you’re iterating to reach “print-ready,” credits can go quickly, so better predictability (or more guidance toward printable outputs) would make the workflow even smoother. "Fast, Easy Image-to-3D Modeling with Impressive Texture Detail"
What do you like best about Meshy?

Meshy makes it really easy to turn your images into effective 3D models. Perfect, especially for complex textured models. It renders fast, and allows for "retries" which help if any details are inaccurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

While Meshy has great complexity in texture and detail, it is still not good at complex shapes, such as interwoven objects (think a coiled snake tail, a Rollercoaster loop, etc). It is attempting to address this issue by adding the feature of multi-view to help see different angles, but I still find it can't quite hit the mark on that yet. That being said, it's still better than the rest of the AI Image-to-3D software I've tried, which include quite a few. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Meshy makes life simpler for new devs"
What do you like best about Meshy?

It is very simple to take a prompt from another AI or from Meshy itself to create decent quality 3D models. It has let me use it in game dev without needing to buy assets from unreal or unity. They make great place holders and the texturing is pretty close if working off of an image. Makes my flow much much easier. Very simple to use as well and import into other programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

I dislike being charged extra for creating a 2d image or using multiple perspective images to make one model but being charged full credit for each image of the same model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for a lot of small jobs"
What do you like best about Meshy?

Meshy is pretty intuitive when it comes to predicting and creating 3d objects from pictures or text. It has definitely gotten better since the last time I tried it a year ago. It's very fast for a little effort as goes into it. The results are pretty good, and you get five retries for free. You are permitted to download the original and each retry without penalty, which is handy when taking the time to compare models for the best option. The pricing isn't too bad for what you get. And the downloads have 7 available formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Maybe I skipped it, but be careful when going for a retry. At the bottom is a section that says reuse prompt - this is not the retry. You will lose coins trying to get a redo. There is a little revolving arrow with a tiny number to the left of the preview. This is your retry spot.

1500 coins would be a better deal for 30 days.

Before I went to the paid tier, I tried it out with a wheel, but the rim was more of a double sided coin. The paid tier made it a perfect shape of a rim., beads and all.

The text to obj works ok, but it has farther to go. And the retry on text to obj uses the exact same text, so you can't really refine it.

The best update they could do would be to add a text box to image input and batch image input. Add a little more refinement and control to the output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"From Concept Art to Game-Ready 3D—Fast"
What do you like best about Meshy?

Meshy has been a major time-saver in my solo dev workflow. The image-to-3D pipeline is straightforward and often produces impressively usable meshes and textures, which is especially helpful when I need to get game assets moving quickly. I also appreciate being able to retry or regenerate outputs with different settings, since it makes iteration feel smooth and painless. The community sharing models made with Meshy is a nice bonus for both inspiration and benchmarking, and the Edit Texture feature feels very promising as it continues to improve.

Downloading FBX models and integrating/implementing them into my game project has consistently been hassle-free and without a hitch.

I use Meshy and engage with its community very frequently—almost daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Quality can be inconsistent, and the results often drop off as model designs become more complex or detailed—sometimes it takes multiple retries to get a truly great output. The texture controls also feel limited compared to a full material workflow; for instance, there aren’t options for layered materials or maps like Emission. It’s fantastic for speed and prototyping, but for higher-complexity assets you may still need cleanup and additional work in a DCC tool.

Some of the community and sharing tools also seem broken. For example, the friend referral feature has refused to work for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
