"Great Experience"
What do you like best about Meshy?

“Meshy is one of the easiest AI tools for creating 3D models quickly. I like how fast it can turn simple prompts or images into usable meshes, which is perfect for prototyping game assets. The interface is simple, the results are surprisingly clean, and it saves a huge amount of time compared to modeling everything manually. It’s especially useful for generating base models that can then be refined for production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

ometimes the topology and mesh optimization still need improvement for game-ready assets. The models can require cleanup, retopology, or texture adjustments before being usable in production. It would also be great to have more control over polycount, topology structure, and asset separation for things like modular game objects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Building Game Assets with Meshy"
What do you like best about Meshy?

The auto-rigging and animation generation pipeline is a game-changer for indie game dev. I built a full 3D platformer using Meshy to rig and animate 10+ characters — players, bosses, enemies, and NPCs. Being able to go from a 2D concept image to a fully rigged, animated 3D character in under 10 minutes is incredible. The animation preset library (586+ animations) covers almost every platformer action I needed, idle, run, jump, spin attack, slide, hurt, death, and the API is clean enough that I fully automated the pipeline with Python scripts. We also used Image-to-3D for props and VFX elements when other tools failed (like translucent/wispy shapes). The speed and cost per asset (32 credits for a fully rigged character with 9 animations) made it feasible for me to populate an entire game world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

The biggest pain point is that rigging strips all textures from models. Every rigged character comes out gray/untextured, requiring an extra Blender step to extract the original texture and reapply it. This was unexpected and cost us significant debugging time before I figured it out. Other issues: API rigging fails on models over 30k polygons (have to use the web UI instead), non-humanoid models are rejected entirely (our charging enemy couldn't be rigged), and the 3-day asset retention for non-Enterprise means you have to download quickly or lose your work. Finally, there's no way to preview animations in the API, you have to reference the web dashboard or guess action IDs by trial and error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for fast 3D asset prototyping"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I’ve been using Meshy to generate 3D assets for game development and it has become a useful part of my workflow. It can turn a text prompt or image into a usable model in minutes, which saves a lot of time during early prototyping.

What I like most is how accessible it is. Even without deep 3D modeling experience you can generate solid base meshes and then refine them later in Blender or import them into Unity for testing.

The text to 3D and image to 3D features are impressive and the platform improves frequently. For example I generated a goblin character and a glowing skull prop that I used as placeholder assets while testing gameplay ideas in Unity. Some models still need a bit of cleanup before production use, but overall it speeds up the process of creating prototype assets significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Rigging support is still limited. It would be great to see simpler and more reliable automatic rigging so generated characters can become animation ready with minimal manual setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast 3D Prototyping Tool for Game Development"
What do you like best about Meshy?

What I like best about Meshy is how efficiently it transforms text prompts into usable 3D meshes. As an independent game developer, I integrate the generated assets into Unity to prototype mechanics and level concepts quickly. The speed of iteration significantly improves my development cycle, especially during early production phases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Pose consistency and topology quality can sometimes require manual adjustments before production use. For example, achieving a clean T-pose or optimized edge flow may take multiple attempts. While it's excellent for rapid prototyping, final in-game assets still benefit from retopology and cleanup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Meshy AI: Unleash Your Creativity"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I enjoyed trying out this software to see if it could aid me in one of my personal projects and I was not disappointed. It allowed me to rapidly visualize my concepts faster than it would have using other methods.

The entire process is a goldmine for a creator's pipeline and could be a blessing to any indie devs who are constructing games or practically anyone who needs meshes/3D materials

The texture capabilities were also interesting and having the ability to rig models right inside the software was very intuitive.

Meshy AI also is connected to a ton of other software like Blender or other 3D tools, making the transition between other software seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Sometimes the models came back either missing some details or with added details, and the texturing wasn't strong. I think that's not too much of an issue as you can just bring the obj into your favorite software and sculpt/texture paint it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Creative, and Promising — Meshy Simplifies 3D Design"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I use Meshy for creative projects involving 3D design, character creation, and 3D printing, and my overall experience has been very positive.

The tool can quickly generate coherent 3D models from simple prompts, opening up many possibilities for prototyping, figurine creation, and animation preparation. The time savings are significant, especially for someone who is not a professionally trained 3D modeler.

The rendering quality is often impressive, with clean and usable shapes produced in just a few minutes. For creative or educational projects, Meshy clearly stands out as a powerful tool that helps make 3D creation more accessible.

There are still a few limitations: some anatomical or stylistic details may require refinement in external software, and finer control over certain parameters could be improved. However, these aspects appear to be evolving quickly, which is encouraging.

Overall, Meshy is already a very promising tool capable of turning an idea into a tangible 3D base within minutes. For anyone working in creative design, 3D printing, or rapid visualization, it is definitely worth trying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Areas for improvement:

Some finer anatomical or stylistic details may still require light post-editing in external software.

More precise control over certain parameters would further improve the creative workflow.

Results can occasionally vary depending on the prompt, which is understandable for a rapidly evolving AI tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast and Intuitive 3D Conversion Tool"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I like using Meshy for converting text and images to 3D and then printing them with my Creality 3D printer. It allows me to create custom creations outside of what's normally available and significantly shortens the creation time. The ease of use and the easy-to-understand dashboard are major pluses for me, along with the quick responses. As a busy creator and business owner, the ability to turn ideas into actual products in minutes is invaluable. The initial setup was quite simple, and I find the tool incredibly valuable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Sometimes the renderings are not perfect and need to be retried. Also, if more than 800 character prompts for detailed prompts would be ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Turning photos into quick 3D base models without starting from scratch"
What do you like best about Meshy?

I like that I can turn a photo into a 3D model pretty fast without dealing with too many settings. Most of the time I just upload an image, wait a bit, and I already have something I can work on.

I usually use it to get a base model, then I add textures and colors myself. It’s not always clean on the first try, but for me that’s fine because I’m going to edit it anyway. It saves me time, especially when I just want to test an idea and move on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

ometimes the result is a bit messy, especially around edges or small details. I usually have to fix the model before using it, so it’s not really plug and play.

Also, with more complex photos, the output can be hit or miss. It works good enough for simple stuff, but I wouldn’t fully trust it for very detailed models without extra cleanup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing 3D Models from Prompts or Images—Far Better Than Manual Modeling"
What do you like best about Meshy?

Meshy does an amazing job generating 3D files from either a written prompt or just a few images. The results are far superior to anything I could model myself in other 3D software. It’s also extremely easy to use, and the paid Meshy 6 modeling is unbelievably detailed and clear.

I honestly wish I had switched to the paid model earlier, because the models it produces are so much crisper, cleaner, and more resin-printer-friendly. I’ve been using it for a few hours per day and have already amassed quite a collection of models—something I wouldn’t have been able to do in that same timeframe on my own. It also integrates nicely with Bambu Studio and Orca Slicer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

It would be nice to have an option to use video as an input for creating a 3D model. This isn’t really a dislike, more of a recommendation for an added feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very useful system"
What do you like best about Meshy?

An easy to use system, with lots of different options available. The option to add reference pics to the image to 3d is very helpful for capturing a model from different angles, and the option to have 4 free retries is very valuable. Text to image prompting is very accurate, and the newest custom pose options are also very handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Meshy?

Face details on models could be improved as sometimes they are vague or have very wild additions such as a strange mouth or other features. It would also be nice to be able to generate a preview before it charges you credits, in case it doesn't generate what you want and credits are wasted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
