"Benefits of the GINA SmartCAD System for Efficient Management of the Dispatch Center"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

The GINA SmartCAD system has long made a significant contribution to improving the efficiency of operations at the dispatch center. It enables continuous real-time monitoring of vehicle movements and, in the event of clarification or changes to the incident location, ensures that this information is immediately reflected in the application used by response units, including an updated incident location within the map background. Any such changes are simultaneously and without delay communicated to other components of the Integrated Rescue System.

In order to simplify communication and reduce radio traffic, the system allows the use of status codes (e.g., “departure”). These functions represent a significant benefit, particularly in the management of large-scale emergency incidents, as they facilitate operational decision-making and provide a rapid and clear overview of unit availability and options for their further deployment. At the same time, a clear visual overview of the deployment of responding vehicles and equipment is ensured.

The ability to transmit photographs and video recordings from the incident scene to the dispatch center provides operators with an accurate and up-to-date understanding of the situation on site and significantly facilitates communication with representatives of local authorities or affected organizations. What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

Previous versions of the software allowed switching between display modes (vehicle / station / entire area), which were used in practice; however, these options are no longer available in the current version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionizing Emergency Response with Real-Time Coordination"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

What I value most about GINA Smart CAD is how it instantly connects our operations center with teams out in the field. The tablets installed in our response vehicles provide a real-time overview of all deployed emergency services, which greatly improves our orientation both en route and at the scene of an incident. The navigation feature is seamlessly integrated into the application and reliably directs us along the most appropriate route, taking into account the specific type of vehicle we are using.

Another significant benefit is the ability to share documentation related to particular locations—having all crucial information available before we arrive at the scene is extremely helpful. I also appreciate being able to create photo documentation directly in the field, which is then transmitted to the operations center in real time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

Sometimes I would appreciate faster implementation of new features. The system works very well overall, but certain practical suggestions take a bit longer to make it into the production version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Tool for Emergency Coordination"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

Smart CAD is a highly useful tool for managing emergency incidents and coordinating all units of the Integrated Rescue System (firefighters, police, and emergency medical services). The product is easy to operate — everything is intuitive and clearly organized. I appreciate the ability to filter the information relevant to me, and with a single click I can switch to map layers that display the real-time positions of responding vehicles from each unit. Adding photos to incident reports is seamless, and I also frequently use the built-in navigation to the incident location.

Another big advantage is that Smart CAD is available both as an app — which we use on the response tablet in our vehicle — and as a web interface accessible through a browser. This flexibility allows me to use the product on my mobile phone as well as on a desktop PC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

There’s nothing major to complain about, but occasionally the messages inserted into the system get duplicated. In the app version used on the response tablets in vehicles, it’s not possible to switch between available incidents. The system only displays information for a single incident — the one the vehicle has been assigned to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Tool for Rescue Teams—Boosts Efficiency and Real-Time Coordination"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

GINA software is an extremely valuable tool for rescue teams. It operates on tablets installed in their vehicles, enabling teams to receive emergency alerts, navigate directly to incident sites, and communicate with the operations center to share status updates. Firefighters benefit from a data repository available on the tablets, which holds essential documents about different locations, as well as useful applications.

At the operations center, the tablets display the real-time locations of each unit. Field teams can also view the positions of other units, including those from other emergency services they may be working alongside. Another notable feature is the ability for teams to take photos with the tablet, which are then automatically transmitted to the operations center.

GINA software has greatly enhanced the efficiency of operations centers by supplying officers with more up-to-date information about the movements of their units. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

"Essential Tool for Real-Time Emergency Response"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

I use GINA regularly in my company car and I must say it is a very useful tool especially for rescue teams. Best possibilities for me:

The system works on tablets installed in their vehicles. With these tablets, teams get emergency messages, navigate to the incident location, and communicate with the operations center by updating their status. Firefighters also use a data saved on the tablets, where they can find important documents about different places.

In the operations center I can see the real-time location of each unit. Teams in the field can also see where other units are, including other emergency services they are working with.

I think it has improved the work in operations centers because officers now have much more real-time information about the movement of units. I can recommend it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

"GINA Smart CAD - a good helper for emergency services"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

GINA software is a very useful tool for rescue teams. The system operates on tablets installed in the vehicles of these units. Through these tablets, teams receive emergency notifications, navigate directly to incident locations, and communicate with the operations center by updating their statuses. Firefighters also benefit from a data warehouse accessible on their tablets, where they can find essential documents related to specific sites and use various auxiliary applications. The tablets in the operations center allow us to track the real-time location of each unit. At the same time, units in the field can view the positions of other teams assigned to the same incident, as well as other IZS components they are collaborating with. Another significant advantage is the ability to take photo documentation using the tablet, which is then automatically sent to the operations center. Overall, GINA Software has contributed to raising the standard of work in operations centers, as the operations officer now has much more real-time information about the movement of equipment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

Switching between multiple vehicles is not supported, which means a separate tablet is required for each one. Additionally, unlike the previous version, the tablet does not allow you to switch between different modes such as vehicle, station, or the entire region. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for Crisis Management with Seamless Communication"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

I love how Smart CAD excels as an information system, allowing seamless data sharing with other units and emergency services, which is crucial for effective crisis management. The ability to communicate with the operation center via tablet is incredibly convenient and enhances coordination during emergencies. I find the support for fire chiefs to be perfect with its comprehensive documentation about objects, buildings, dangerous scenes, and more, including HAZCHAM, Kemler codes, and Diamant symbols, which are invaluable for informed decision-making in the field. I appreciate how easy it was to set up Smart CAD on tablets, as the software was pre-installed when we acquired it, allowing for immediate use during critical situations. Having used Smart CAD for ten years, I am highly satisfied and confidently rate it a 10 out of 10 for its reliability and functionality, which significantly optimize our operations in fire trucks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

I sometimes don't have visibility about other emergency departments, which is a drawback. This issue appears to stem from connection problems between operation centers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A basic tool for effective coordination of IRS units"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

GINA SmartCAD is very good tool for emergency response coordination. It helps us coordinate units designated for handling emergency situations, makes their ride to the incident site easier thanks to navigation, and has accelerated the transfer of information between units at the scene and the operations center. At the same time, it is a valuable assistant for incident commanders, providing them with important informational support. Thanks to this application, the operations center has an online overview of unit movements and also enables us to see the vehicles of other emergency services. "GINA Smart CAD - useful assistant for managing firefighting operations at all levels"
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

The use of the software has significantly improved the information support of the responding fire protection units (whether it is, for example, navigation to difficult-to-reach intervention sites or coordination of units) and at the same time simplified and made communication with the operations center more efficient. The application has a number of advantages, including immediate response and information transfer, the ability to replace voice communication between the operations center and fire department units, simple display on the map. Furthermore, the ability to use the database of hazardous substances, vehicle construction, and more. As a long-time user of the application, I can say that its implementation into practice has meant great progress and currently it is difficult to imagine daily activities, not only at the fire department operations center, without it. What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

Over time, the application has been developed and improved to the point where it has no significant flaws. Minor adjustments and fixes are handled in cooperation with the development team and customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
