I’m genuinely glad I switched from Twinmotion to D5 Render for its better vegetation. I was first drawn to its unending catalog of realistic vegetation, and it’s kept bringing pleasant surprises, like the scatter options and speed. I can do animation with path tracing without waiting for hours, which is mind-blowing. I like the ease of use, the interface, and that it saves storage space. The scatter, lighting, and vegetation help me produce realistic, relatable renders. The setup was pretty easy, and I’ve already taught a few people while I was still learning. The interface is easy to use and understand as it separates the materials of the models. I was able to quickly and accurately match my .rvt and .skp documents; thanks to that, I managed to make quick renders, like walkthrough videos, with very good quality. The price of D5 seems acceptable to me for the benefits and practicality it offers. When I needed support, the D5 page was adequate, as they really helped and provided solutions. I like how D5 Render lets me see my design almost instantly as I work. **What I like**

If your PC doesn’t have high-tier specs, like an Nvidia 5000-series graphics card, but you still want good-quality visualisations, D5 can be a great companion. At first, you might struggle a bit if you’ve used Lumion or V-Ray before, but after giving it some time, you’ll end up loving it. Right now, the main issue I struggle with is the sky. Even when I use HDRI’s or the Geo options, it’s still hard to blend it with the overall style. I think having some more realistic presets could help. Also, within the HDRI’s option, it would be better if we could control and use the existing setup more easily. I am surprised by the efficiency of D5 Render in my daily routine. The UI/UX (user interface) is extremely friendly and intuitive, making onboarding and initial setup easy, drastically reducing the learning curve for new users. In terms of Integrations, the direct synchronization with my Revit projects and BIM workflows is already very good; although the integration still has room for some improvements and specific refinements, it already works quite consistently, allowing agile model updates. This highlights the excellent Performance of the software: the rendering engine is lightweight, stable, and delivers high-quality results very quickly, even when dealing with more complex geometries. Regarding Pricing/ROI (return on investment), the value is immediately justified. I always had difficulty (and wasted time) finding external assets that worked well. D5's vast native library of materials and 3D blocks eliminated this bottleneck, saving me hours of searching and testing every week. Finally, an unexpected benefit was the integrated AI/Intelligence resources. Communication with Revit still presents some limitations that could be refined. Specifically, the synchronization of families and the transition of materials from denser projects are not precise 100% of the time. The direct impact is the need to reconfigure textures in D5 after updates in the Revit model, which consumes precious technical execution time. It would be ideal if future plugin updates focused on a deeper and more stable reading of Revit's native metadata and materials during live sync, avoiding any loss of information between platforms.
