Meshy: The Essential 3D Modeling Pipeline for Indie Game Devs **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Blaine S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025 **What do you like best about Meshy?** Meshy hasn't rolled out any new features since my last review. **What do you dislike about Meshy?** I hadn't dealt with their customer service, but it's truly abysmal. Also after extended usage I found that their scaled up / large models are really low detail which is disappointing. Additionally, they seem to lie about their reward programs. **What problems is Meshy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Meshy tackles the problem of creating high quality 3D models while shortening the loop of concept->model->feedback. For myself, as a solo independent game developer, I have to wear many hats as I build games and Meshy helps out by providing the 3D models and art side of the house while I focus on other time-consuming aspects of game development. ### 2. Deceptive practices, dark patterns, gamified extortion. **What problems is Meshy solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use this tool to generate 3D models for my game concepts. It allows me to quickly create models that help me visualize and further develop my ideas. However, I wouldn't recommend relying on it unless you don't have a better alternative. ### 4. I paid for a professional account, and the models are not very professional. **What problems is Meshy solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well, Meshy is NOT solving problems for me; in fact it would actually create problems if I used their models as I would have to spend hours fixing them. ### 5.
