**What do you like best about Autodesk 3ds Max?**

I mainly use Autodesk 3ds Max for creating 3D models and product visualizations. The modeling tools are flexible and give me good control over small details. I also like the modifier stack because I can make changes without starting over. Once you get familiar with the workflow, creating complex models becomes much faster, and the rendering quality is excellent for presentations.

**What do you dislike about Autodesk 3ds Max?**

The software has a steep learning curve, especially for beginners. It also needs a powerful computer to run smoothly, and large projects can sometimes slow down or crash. The subscription price is another downside for freelancers and small teams.

I love the variety of 3D Modeling tools and realistic lighting and rending.

I dislike the fact that some features don't work, for example, the coloring/painting tool in 3DS Max just crashes the computer and then the program shuts down. I have plenty of RAM and processing on my PC, it seems it is just a 3DS Max problem.

It solves my 3D Modeling needs in which I need to design 3D Models that not only look good, but also function good as well because I design a lot of 3D Models that are articulated and involve moving parts.

It has the easiest interface of most 3D programs out there.  And it has excellent library of plugins and models available on the web

The subscription price is too high.  Legacy users for 30 years should have some discount are able to buy older versions.  As I don't need new features just what I have always used

I use 3dsmax to create full product renderings and animation.  Full architectural sites, interiors and exteriors.  As well as camera-perspective matched piece elements for photo enhancing and editing.

3DS Max is an industry standard program thats been integrated within the pipelines and workflows of companies and studios around the world. Theres a number of different tools (whether internally of publicly available) to assist and add on to the features already available in the program. The non-destructive workflow available in 3DSMax with its modifier stacking its the staple of the program and is what really sets it apart as a 3D modelling/production program from its competition

**What do you dislike about Autodesk 3ds Max?**

3DS Max's UI is pretty outdated. To get into the program is quiete hard and its even harder to with all the features and modifiers, but it would be very worth it in the end.

Industry-grade! This was the first 3D modeling product I used. Even though 3Ds Max is far more complex than the competitors like Blender and Fusion, the end product makes it worth it.

A bit hard to get into. There aren't that many resources available on the internet now a days.

Like most software at present this also demands high configuration computers. You can't run this software properly if you don't have the supported computer. You need to have good graphics to run it smoothly.

The procedural workflow using modifiers in 3DS Max is one of the best among all the softwares. The variety of plugins available for it is also very vast which helps to make the workflow very fast.

The interface, I personally never liked the interface. It is very old school and dull.

The autodesk 3ds max is a best software to design drawings related to engineering works in 2d and 3d. Easy to create designs and make edits to the previous designs as compared to other softwares. The design created using 3ds max can also be analysed using the software to check the stress limit and strength of products.

**What problems is Autodesk 3ds Max solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am doing all kinds of 3d visualizations mostly product and architecture. For that purpose, 3ds max does just fine but whenever you need something more like special effects, cloth simulations, particles etc., you always end up better with external plugins. But as a base software, works just fine.

The most helpful feature in Autodesk 3ds Max is its capability of studying the real effects of the sun and lights over the specified architectural model and their impact on its different parts and sections.

I sometimes wished if the manipulation and handling of its different commands and tools were less complicated than they are right now, but if I look closer I will understand the real need of being like so...

First of all, the major problems being solved by Autodesk 3ds Max are the communication and the way to do so with our clients; in fact, some clients find it hard to visualize the volumes in general and how they interfere with each other. Here comes the need for 3ds Max to simplify the task on us, with its multiple ways for presentation.

It is rendering of 3d model and animating constructing 3d model for representing to the clinet.
User-friendly tools for animating the 3d model.
Excellent import and exporting function for a given stream of file formats

**What do you dislike about Autodesk 3ds Max?**

Huge hardware requirements and giant graphic cards are needed. It's a little bit costly for medium-scale industries to invest.
Training is required for a fresher experienced professional to adopt tool techniques.
Realistic rendering is not possible compared to other competitors' software.

it's perfect for animation of structural components like ground supporting equipment for aircraft industries (aircraft docking Systems)
Wind tower internal components presentation and for clients to know overview presentation about internal tower structures.

3d Studio Max is the best 3d software for creating 3d Models, 3d Animations, and Motion Graphics. I am working in 3ds Max for 10 years. It is user-friendly, easy to learn, and very fast in response.

3ds Max is nothing but modelling software which we can get more realistic images compared to other softwares. Though the process of making model is quite difficult compared to sketchup but the final output is completely satisfied compared to anything.

Even little details takes more time to complete.  Time consuming software.

It is not beginner-friendly; this needs time and effort to learn. If you're on the verge of the deadline, it is not my go-to software for 3d.

3ds max is best software for assets modeling. I am a sr. Vehicle artist and for vehicle modeling I am using this software from past 9 year's.

Only one thing which I really don't like is crash. 3ds max has this crash issue when we use Meshsmoot or Terbosmoot.

For hard surface modeling it's really nice and it's really useful for retopo. I can handle all shapes in 3ds max only.
