**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

I started using it back when it was only on GitHub, and even then it was a polished frontend. Since then, everything has continued to improve, but the addition of the API and MCP features—and now Agent being in alpha—has really opened up the creative process for me. It’s fast, and having both cloud and local running has only made it easier to produce things quickly.<br><br>Pricing feels fair, and being able to run locally on a 5080 using flux2 klein 9b is great for prototyping, saving token costs, and making your credits count when it’s time for production runs. Onboarding is also very simple: signup and installation are incredibly straightforward.<br><br>One thing that has always stood out to me is that this feels made with care and passion—by people who understand the power of creativity and the value of democratizing it. It’s allowed me to create images I never thought I could produce. It’s my go-to software for image creation, and with the number of models and providers available, you can really find something for all pockets. I’m a solo user and an enthusiast, and I can’t imagine wanting to use anything else.

**What do you dislike about ComfyUI?**

Sometimes I notice a bit of slowdown when things get crowded. I’d also like to see a guided learning path, and an iOS app similar to the LmLink app in lmstudio.

**What problems is ComfyUI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps make up for my lack of technical ability and gives me an outlet for my creativity. Living with autism, having a creative outlet is incredibly important, and Comfy has given me the tools to do that.

ComfyUI has completely transformed the way I create visual audio content. The node-based workflow gives you an incredible amount of control and flexibility — you can build, customize, and fine-tune your pipelines exactly the way you want instead of being locked into a rigid template. Combined with Comfy Cloud, I can run everything without worrying about hardware limitations, which makes the whole experience smooth and accessible. The community is also fantastic, with tons of shared workflows and custom nodes that keep expanding what's possible.

There is a learning curve, especially if you're new to node-based interfaces. It can feel overwhelming at first, but once it clicks, it becomes incredibly powerful. Better onboarding tutorials or templates for beginners would make it even more welcoming.

**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

Honestly? I totally fell right into the one thing people seem to hate, the visual linking system. I've never wanted to code, but I both like, and need, to create, and Comfy let's me accomplish things that were either science-fiction or in the realms of professional studio costs. Neither of which were ... options. :)

So far, I'm still learning, so not much. I am disappointed to not be able to get some of the nodes that I've been reading about, but I understand why this is tricky.

**What problems is ComfyUI solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Oh wow, this is a biggie, at least for us. The system I'm immediately trying to build (when I'm not gleefully generating hours of slop lol) will 'hopefully' take a piece of long-content text, parse it into sections, use an LLM to analyse those sections & create appropriate accompanying image prompts. The holy grail would be to have that then feed the prompts into the ksampler for pure autoey-goodness. And yes, I know I could do this in 30 seconds with Claude Code and MCP, but I'm stuck without the Claudster, for the time being, so it's down to me.

**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

What I like best is the node-based workflow. It gives me total control to build custom image and video pipelines, run models locally for free, and iterate fast. It handles the newest models like Z-Image Turbo and WAN right away, and the flexibility beats any locked-down app.

**What do you dislike about ComfyUI?**

What I dislike is the credit cost on the cloud side. It can get expensive fast, and the extra costs get hidden inside the subgraph so they aren't transparent. Support takes too long to get back to you. The workflow templates are often out of date, and when a workflow breaks mid-run you still burn the credits with no refund. Those are the real problems.

They're solving the problem I raised, refunding a month of credits after the workflow broke, and they're looking into fixing the broken beta app.

I like that ComfyUI just works most of the time. I also find the features like Lip Sync, Image to Video, and Lora Training to be wonderful.

**What do you dislike about ComfyUI?**

The CLI Comfy Cloud token usage is an issue for me because it doesn't match my account, preventing me from reloading often. It would be useful to have a token reset button that can clear the cache or resync without needing to reach out for assistance. Also, the initial setup was a bit confusing, especially when I dealt with AMD and over-installed the CLI, but other than that, it turned out to be straightforward and easy.

I use ComfyUI as my multi-modal interface for controlling desktop and cloud interfaces, enhancing my production pipelines with features like Lip Sync and Image to Video.

**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

I truly believe that ComfyUI is highly important because it is open-source, powerful, covers a massive ecosystem, and has a great community. It utilizes hardware remarkably well, and if you don't have the required specs, you can use the web version. Additionally, ComfyUI is always the first interface to update whenever a new model hits the market. And as i have said i also like to have the hability to use my GPU and if i dont want to use the Web version. Pricing is ok but i think you shouldnt rise your prices. I personaly like the UI but maybe a non programmer or other person would find it challenging. Integrations are as i have said one of the best things, every time i find out about a great model it is in ComfyUI. The AI used by models is the best in the market and the Support i dont know how it is i have never asked for support, but i asume it is ok.

If i had to say something i dislike about ComfyUI is that in the Workflows you download or add sometimes is very slow or difficult to install required requisites or packages, besides that everything is great.

The only complaint I have ever had is beyond control of ComfyUI, I have an Intel GPU and Nvidia dominates the space, torch-xpu, on Linux and Windows both, has been a royal pain. Anything that can be done to stop the Python circus behind the scene would be greatly appreciated!

**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

What I like most about ComfyUI is the level of control and flexibility it provides over the entire AI generation workflow. The node-based UI has a steep learning curve, but once you understand it, it becomes extremely powerful, transparent and easy to customize.

Performance is another major advantage, especially for users running AI locally on limited hardware. I can optimize workflows, manage VRAM usage and choose models and settings according to my hardware instead of being locked into a fixed cloud pipeline.

The integrations and community ecosystem are excellent. Custom nodes, models and workflows make it possible to connect different tools and build highly specialized pipelines for image and video generation.

From a pricing and ROI perspective, running ComfyUI locally is one of its biggest strengths. There are no mandatory per-generation costs, and the ability to reuse and optimize workflows can significantly reduce the cost of experimentation and production.

The main weakness is onboarding. ComfyUI can be intimidating for beginners, and understanding nodes, dependencies, models, VRAM requirements and workflow errors takes time. Documentation and the community help a lot, but the initial learning curve could be improved.

ComfyUI solves one of my biggest problems with AI generation: lack of control and repeatability. Instead of treating image and video generation as a black box, I can build a workflow where every stage is clearly defined, tested and reused. This makes it much easier to reproduce a good result and systematically improve it rather than starting from scratch each time.

It also allows me to run AI locally instead of relying entirely on paid cloud services. This is particularly valuable when experimenting with many models, prompts and settings, because I can iterate without paying for every generation. For my workflow, this significantly improves the cost-to-result ratio.

Another important benefit is hardware optimization. I can adjust models, resolutions, samplers, upscaling and other nodes to work within my available VRAM instead of being restricted to a fixed cloud configuration. This makes experimentation possible even on relatively modest hardware.

The integration with different models, custom nodes and community workflows also lets me build specialized pipelines for different tasks, including image generation, image-to-image, upscaling and video workflows. Once I have a working pipeline, I can save it and reuse it for future projects, which saves considerable time.

Overall, ComfyUI turns AI generation from a trial-and-error process into something much closer to a controllable production workflow. The main benefit for me is not simply better images, but having control over the process, the costs and the ability to reproduce and optimize results.

**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

The nodes system is so powerful, it allows to create very powerful workflows and provide better control over your generations than other platforms. UI/UX is awesome, it has all the models for any task, it is fast, reasonable pricing but even if you dont wanna pay the local workflows are very powerful. I have connected all my tools with a single AI agent, comfy ui plays very nicely and i had no issue so far.

**What do you dislike about ComfyUI?**

Would be great if it had in-app tutorials for the basic stuff so someone can learn how to build workflows. I know documentation already exists and is a good one, but an in-app section with tutorials would be great for a smooth onboarding of new users.

I love that ComfyUI is constantly improving. I've been using it locally for a few years because it quickly became more versatile for me compared to Automatic1111 or similar programs. It allows me to create or use workflows that only have the nodes I actually need, which helps me save on much-needed memory. Plus, I appreciate that new workflows are being developed to run new models as they come out and that the community can build on what other users really need or want. The learning curve has also changed over the years, and with the desktop and templates, it's become easier for beginners now.

It can be a bit too easy for a single node update to break a whole workflow. Maybe have an option to update or not, or a way to have workflows isolate old nodes and ring-fence them until a workflow solution is found.

Additionally, I was able to easily integrate comfy UI into my workflow, and now it is indispensable. Moreover, it is absolutely brilliant in terms of cost, and even the API nodes do not cost an infinite amount of money.

Iterating image edits by having to save the file each time and dealing with generic filenames could be better. It would be great if "Save Image" could link back to "Load Image," allowing the output to become the new waypoint with a single click. While the visibility of credits cost on cloud is generally good, it could sometimes be clearer. ComfyUI Manager doesn't load for me when using locally, which makes me rely on the cloud out of convenience. Some T2-Image nodes/workflows would benefit from having both a Prompt (with Neg.Prompt) and an Image Input as options, with the ability to dial priority without digging into advanced settings. Additionally, whenever an image is edited, it would be nice if a mask could be used to protect the parts of the image I want to keep while tweaking the rest.

**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

I like the UI, as it feels in harmony with other professional software. The best part for me is the node-based workflow: it offers a lot of possibilities and enables many different combinations. The only exception is the API nodes, which feel quite closed off in that regard.

I also appreciate the optimization options and the automatic memory handling, even when working with tight models. The pricing is quite fair—maybe not the cheapest—but compared to buying an RTX6000 Pro, it’s basically a bargain.

Another thing I really like is the hovering help text, which has pulled me out many times in head-scratching situations. Finally, the LLM-supported automated workflows are great for reducing human error.

The most drawback comes from it's best feature: OpenSource. 
There are a lot of custom nodes which is great, but makes the whole system unstable and easy to ruin Comfy's normal operation.

i appreciate being able to use models that my computer can no longer keep up with. I mostly like anomation and i prefer to use the node based because it is adjustable. rather than being behind a closed door. I have not connected it to any integrations.

when i make art with ai i like to allow the models to generate some of thier own weirdness but this method costs me credits on the cloud version.and so i have to be selective and careful not to run out on one project. I also wish there were clearer instructions about how the individual aspects of nodes operate. I can experiment, but then again, it costs me credits. i also am leary about how my work is not always a available. the number of pieces goes up and down seemingly at random.

I really like the node graph feature in ComfyUI. It makes everything else, like custom nodes, control nets, IP adapters, batching, and upscalers, really powerful. Being able to see the entire pipeline laid out in front of me just the way I want and saving it to rerun forever is a big plus. I also enjoy the capabilities of changing generation, Facebook upscale, background removal, and sprite packing all in one go. I like using ComfyUI for generating graphics, whether they're images or videos. It's a free tool that I have on my local Mac Mini, ASUS GX10, on RunPod. I also have a subscription to Comfy Cloud which is an incredible tool. The Mac Mini only had 32 GB of memory, however both the ASUS GX10 and the RunPod I created have much more GPU memory. The graphical interface helps me understand how it works, and I find it easier to work with than when generating Python code. It's been essential for me as I learn about generating images and models, and it supports my work as a sole proprietor. I also found the initial setup not difficult. I use the spark-comfyui tool on the ASUS GX10. Without this tool, using ComfyUI on the GX10 is difficult. On the Mini Mac I use Stability Matrix which help with maintaining the versions. On RunPod I use a provided image and not special tools with ComfyUI.

There are some features that feel a little rough. One major issue is with deleting assets—when an asset is deleted from inside, they still show up when you open the load file node, which is frustrating. It would be nice to be able to delete them so they don't continue to appear. Also, it's slightly limited in that you can't upload any custom code or anything that the cloud doesn't have. While I understand why ComfyUI cloud does not permit updates, a bit more flexibility here would be appreciated.

The custom ability. I can adjust the workflow based off of my desired outcome. Other systems I have used require me to use pre-determined algorithms and workflows, but with Comfy, I control the flow, how it flows, where it flows, when, and why. I can generate a video, export the mp4, upload it into Kdenlive, add music or lip sync voice all in Comfyui. I'm only limited by hardware or creativity. 
   I create 3d images from characters I created in comfyui or on other AI generators, then run them through filters to create fully usable .stl or .glb files. I export the .glb files and import them directely into Unreal Engine to test them before posting on Deviant Art. 
   The video files I create are uploaded to my local desktop and imported into KdenLive to stitch together and add music. 
   I use the cloud version of ComfyUi more than the local version, since my GPU isn't up to standards for the higher processing, but with comfy cloud, it works flawlessly. 
   Compared to other tools, the pricing is very fair. Channelai lets you use custom Loras, but only the ones they integrated into their systems, you put in your prompt on whatever generator style you want and hit go. Since they restructured their business model, it is $10/week instead of the $15 /month... I pay $35/month for Comfycloud. my desktop "Local" system is free unless I use partner nodes. 
   I haven't used Comfy Support, and I'm quite familiar with Ubuntu and other Linux distros, so the onboarding was seamless for me, but I have communicated with other Comfyui users I know on DeviantArt and other sites, and we all agree the quality is spot on, installation is easy, and those that have contacted support had nothing but good things to say.
   AI intelligence? I haven't used any built in AI assistance or anything like that on the platform itself. I use Gemini personally, but not connected directly to Comfy with exception of a few nodes, and those have been exceptional every time. For instance, The Qwen to 3d models I run can take my base image, create side and back profiles in line with the vision I have of them without much direction and create a 3d workable character almost flawlessly. The same goes for the Qwen image + text to video. No issues to report on those.

The learning curve was steep. It took days upon days to learn how it all works together. Again, I use the cloud version more than the self-hosted version due to hardware limitations. Each time my process was running, regardless of outcome, if the GPU is spinning, i'm getting charged. If it takes the workflow 5 min. to fail, I get charged for the 5 min of run time. I guess if there were anything available to alleviate that, I would say that a pipeline or spaghetti check would be a valuable asset. something that would verify the integrity of the workflow before actually hitting run. I would rather spend 2-5 credits to run a verification tool one time, than 90-100 credits to run and fail a dozen times.

**What do you like best about ComfyUI?**

It provides a clean interface to interact with AI models. Specifically the gallery of templates is a great way to get up to speed. The json structure makes it easy to create custom workflows and try different things

Lack of advanced/useful video templates.

ComfyUI allows me to interact with AI models without having to use the API directly from a custom made app.

Its performance and fluidness. The whole experience is so good.

Prices are a bit expensive and the website is kinda slow sometimes.

I like to work with my personal photos and travel diaries.
