The best part for me is the node-based workflow: it offers a lot of possibilities and enables many different combinations. The only exception is the API nodes, which feel quite closed off in that regard. I also appreciate the optimization options and the automatic memory handling, even when working with tight models. The pricing is quite fair—maybe not the cheapest—but compared to buying an RTX6000 Pro, it’s basically a bargain. Another thing I really like is the hovering help text, which has pulled me out many times in head-scratching situations. Finally, the LLM-supported automated workflows are great for reducing human error. **What do you dislike about ComfyUI?** The most drawback comes from it's best feature: OpenSource. There are a lot of custom nodes which is great, but makes the whole system unstable and easy to ruin Comfy's normal operation. **What problems is ComfyUI solving and how is that benefiting you?** There were a lot of CGI only and heavy VFX solutions before AI and ComfyUI. but luckily we have Comfy now and we can speed=up the process, but still a lot to work on. Especially the 8 bit environment... ### 2. I mostly like anomation and i prefer to use the node based because it is adjustable. rather than being behind a closed door. I have not connected it to any integrations. **What do you dislike about ComfyUI?** when i make art with ai i like to allow the models to generate some of thier own weirdness but this method costs me credits on the cloud version.and so i have to be selective and careful not to run out on one project. I also wish there were clearer instructions about how the individual aspects of nodes operate. I can adjust the workflow based off of my desired outcome. Other systems I have used require me to use pre-determined algorithms and workflows, but with Comfy, I control the flow, how it flows, where it flows, when, and why. I can generate a video, export the mp4, upload it into Kdenlive, add music or lip sync voice all in Comfyui. I'm only limited by hardware or creativity. I create 3d images from characters I created in comfyui or on other AI generators, then run them through filters to create fully usable .stl or .glb files. I export the .glb files and import them directely into Unreal Engine to test them before posting on Deviant Art. The video files I create are uploaded to my local desktop and imported into KdenLive to stitch together and add music. I use the cloud version of ComfyUi more than the local version, since my GPU isn't up to standards for the higher processing, but with comfy cloud, it works flawlessly. Compared to other tools, the pricing is very fair. Channelai lets you use custom Loras, but only the ones they integrated into their systems, you put in your prompt on whatever generator style you want and hit go. Since they restructured their business model, it is $10/week instead of the $15 /month... I pay $35/month for Comfycloud. my desktop "Local" system is free unless I use partner nodes. I haven't used Comfy Support, and I'm quite familiar with Ubuntu and other Linux distros, so the onboarding was seamless for me, but I have communicated with other Comfyui users I know on DeviantArt and other sites, and we all agree the quality is spot on, installation is easy, and those that have contacted support had nothing but good things to say. AI intelligence? I haven't used any built in AI assistance or anything like that on the platform itself. I use Gemini personally, but not connected directly to Comfy with exception of a few nodes, and those have been exceptional every time. For instance, The Qwen to 3d models I run can take my base image, create side and back profiles in line with the vision I have of them without much direction and create a 3d workable character almost flawlessly. The same goes for the Qwen image + text to video. No issues to report on those. **What do you dislike about ComfyUI?** The learning curve was steep. It took days upon days to learn how it all works together. Again, I use the cloud version more than the self-hosted version due to hardware limitations. Each time my process was running, regardless of outcome, if the GPU is spinning, i'm getting charged. If it takes the workflow 5 min. to fail, I get charged for the 5 min of run time. I guess if there were anything available to alleviate that, I would say that a pipeline or spaghetti check would be a valuable asset. something that would verify the integrity of the workflow before actually hitting run. I would rather spend 2-5 credits to run a verification tool one time, than 90-100 credits to run and fail a dozen times. **What problems is ComfyUI solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was paying for 6 or 7 tools at one point. $5 here, $15 there... Comfy does everything those individual apps/sites did and it does it better, faster, cheaper, and It spits out something that I created, it's mine, no watermarks, no jumping thru hoops to prove I made it. ### 5. For example, I was able to create a process for myself where I can enter a prompt and, through a multiple choice, use it to create a new image or do inpainting, with optional features like adding depth or extra lora. It's very convenient because I can quickly check or uncheck features, and I don't need to revisit these details every time. **What do you dislike about ComfyUI?** I am sometimes a bit lost among the available nodes, whether they are official or not. An optional classification system would be nice, like grouping all the nodes for a particular model. It's something I miss a bit since I migrated from InvokeAI: the canvas system where we could work gradually on each part of the image was really cool. **What problems is ComfyUI solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use ComfyUI to generate images for my web marketing activities and to create RPG illustrations for personal use. It simplifies the creation of similar and uniform images. The task of setting up the work environment is usually tedious.
