"A well balanced system which combines ease of use and richness of features"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Ease of use - specially the switching of my view vs company view

Also, the color coding used in the scheduling view is very good

Another good feature is to add multiple holidays/events on a single date, which caters to users working in different locations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

When in the scheduling view, if the project name is long, and if a resource is assigned to it for a long period, on some weeks, the middle part of the project name is not visible. Only the first 15 or so and the last few characters are visible. This should be corrected.

Also, I would like improvents in the view and functionality in the scenario when a resource is assigned to multiple projects on a single day or has a few hours off and not a full day off Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float for Creatives"
What do you like best about Float.com?

What I like about float is making it easier to organize, plan, move things around. It's also very colorful which makes my calendar looks very interesting :) It's just so cool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I think the only downside I can see is, it's not sync with outlook so I don't need to update my calendar on both applications. This way, I'll save more time and it's easier to look at it on both if it's both sync at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very quick, effortless time logging experience"
What do you like best about Float.com?

time logging is very straightforward - I like the projected time feature that sets you up to speed. It is also easy to adjust the log if something changed that week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

It can be a bit overwhelming for other features that I actually do not need to see or use, but nevertheless they are there. It would be great to have an option to hide the feautres that I don't use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Experience!"
What do you like best about Float.com?

I am able to see my whole team's capacity at a glance, and getting insights in the form of reports is always really useful when conducting end-of-year reviews with team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I wish non-admin users could have better control of their own time, and be able to add and edit projects. We are not a team that micromanages our employees' tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An Efficient Tool for Time Management and Collaborative Projects"
What do you like best about Float.com?

As an UX/UI designer in a company of 50 people, I find Float app extremely helpful for managing my time and collaborating on projects with my colleagues. The app's user interface is simple and sleek, and I really appreciate that everything is organized in an intuitive manner. One of the best things about Float is the ease with which I can create and assign tasks, and track the progress of different projects. Overall, using Float has helped me stay on top of deadlines and work more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

However, there are a few downsides to using Float that are worth mentioning. First off, the app can be a bit slow and clunky at times, especially when switching between screens.

Another issue is that the app is not as customizable as I would like it to be - I would love to be able to personalize certain features to fit my working style better.

Overall, while there are definitely some areas for improvement, I would still recommend Float as a solid tool for time management and collaborative projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I don't know how I ever lived without Float!"
What do you like best about Float.com?

Scheduling tab is so responsive - create, drag and drop, copy bookings, reassigning are all super smooth.

Tracking budgets by projects is easy making initial planning of projects a dream.

The Reporting tab is fantastic, with insightful 'out of the box' visualisations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Drill down reporting - specifically with translating work hours to work days and excluding tentative time - could be finessed.

Assigning time budget at task level - or grouping tasks into phases would be a nice feature. Currently phases are visual milestones only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The mobile is limited when coming to creating projects and has to be done via mobile Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Float - helpful PM tool"
What do you like best about Float.com?

It is a great tool to be integrated with jira - it works well for our team, it's a seamless, smooth integration that helps us estimate time & choose the right resource for any jira tasks. It is also easy to follow by the users who are marking tasks "complete", adding comments, mark bookings as tentative. All very clear and transparent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The integration with google calendar doesn't work that well. Some of the bookings are wrong / outdated / are not being updated / duplicated / not being displayed in a correct project or are missing. Luckily, the support team is open to help with this kind of issues. Also, the annoying feature is that the "View in jira" link doesn't work for duplicated bookings. It doesn't work for our team as more people use the same tasks on jira in different time. It's impossible to search using the jira ticket number (you have to know the ticket name). Also, ticket numbers are not displayed in the “Task” field- that causes some confusion because we work with tasks with similar names. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"New User Satisfied with Transition"
What do you like best about Float.com?

I am a new user of Float having recently started work at a company that uses it. I have found the transition from my previous scheduling software to be pretty seemless with minimal difficulty. The user interface is friendly and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

The main con that I have experienced is the inability to edit tasks created by others. I am not an admin but run a department and I am unable to edit tasks that I did not create. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
