"Float Makes Things Easier"

What do you like best about Float.com?

I like the visual aspect of Float, it is easy to understand at a glance and easy to plan. Employees enjoy using it which means they are more inclined to update their schedules, which is important for accurate planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I wish there were more access levels. I am managing an increasingly large group of people and I need them to be able to edit anyone's schedule in their Department. Currently there is only "Project Manager" or "Member" and neither one suits my needs perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Float.com:

If you have to manage the time of large groups of people, and know at a glance what they are doing, Float is the right software for you. Reporting on bandwidth use may be a little basic for some users, but if you dig into the features and enter accurate data, you will have something meaningful to show at the end of the quarter or year. What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Integration to rest of the team"

What do you like best about Float.com?

It's easy to use, specifically for traffic to brief in work to the creative department. This also makes it easier for all the creatives to fill in their timesheets once everything has been scheduled. The design is clean and pleasant to look at, which makes it working with it delightful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

There isn't enough training for the creatives to use it more efficiently. This hinders the level to which the software can be integrated into e-mail (if possible), and therefore have a more streamlined process instead of having multiple logins in order to use the software. Recommendations to others considering Float.com:

Train the rest of the team well, and not just the administrators initially tasked with briefing in the work. This will assisst everyone to make the best out of this software. Use the customisable interface in order reap the best experience for oneself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's easier to do timesheets once work has been logged on float.

I have nothing more to add but require to use more words in order to fill the word count, in terms of UX I think tghis was a short sight from the survey creators. This might just make it a wordy response rather than dealing with specific points from my experience of the softweare. Luckily I am almost there with regards to the word count and can get my $20 for these surveys. All in all it is a good product and more training should be provided for all stakeholders. What do you like best about Float.com?

Float is so simple and straight forward to use. It allows managers to keep track of the workflow and all team members are able to see what has been worked on as well as what needs doing. The scheduling system is so smart and allows me to save time and keep all my projects on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

As of yet there is nothing I dislike about fault. I think there are features that are a lot more useful to managers which I would not use and therefore can not comment on. An improvement I would suggest is that when a new user has been added by the manager it would be useful if they got a notification or email letting them know that the new user had accepted their request as managers can be quite busy and forget to check. It is very useful to read the 'How Float Works' section on the website to learn all the features. There are a lot of great features that I think more workplaces could make use of, such as viewing all your team's workload in one place and viewing multiple projects at the same time. What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Within our team we are all able to see what has or hasn't been done very easily which also therefore helps us to organise meetings if needs be. An additional benefit I had not realised before is that Float also allows you to add in holidays/paid time off etc which is very useful. We are able to reassign tasks as appropriate and see any changes made almost immediately. It is a massive improvement from using the Excel spreadsheet we used to have. "Great Concept with Some Server issues"

What do you like best about Float.com?

Float is visually very easy to read and allows users to be succinct but detailed at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Float tends to not register all our changes and tends to not be completely "LIVE" as it requires multiple refreshes at times to attain the most updated information. This is mainly happens when there are multiple project managers.

The export report is not as detailed as I would like it to be. It would be more beneficial to have monthly exports with breakdowns per job, per person and per week. I need to use the raw data more often than referring to the online report so it would be good to see some improvements on this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Float.com:

At the moment, there have been a lot of server improvements but I would suggest keeping the operations small as the server can get quite laggy at times. It takes a bit of getting used but definitely serves a lot of benefits to our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It will be nice to get notifications about not booked time of some resource and small tool for moving all booked resources for a given project in time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Float is great tool that helps us in three ways:

1. Planning resources in the near future - thanks to this we can easily know what specialist and when will have free time for some short maintenance or start new project.

2. Planning time off office days
