The basics for billing are there, yet there is a lot that needs to get done that still requires us to have staff handle billing on our end. We were told to expect that all our billing needs would be met, that was not the case. We’ve had multiple changes to the person on their end responsible for our account. The call center had our patients on hold for as long as 45 minutes and we finally had to stop using that aspect of the service, we have felt as though there has been no support. We have to find the errors, in multiple years there has been no account review to find zero pays or accurate reimbursement from carriers; we have to do it ourselves. Not at all what we expected from our sales reps presentation. I have seen no efforts to make changes that benefit a business, ideas to improve their platform for their clients have been given. Nothing has changed. Any corrections we have to fix and email them to reprocess. I’ve met with other vendors that offer more business support, input carrier contracts, verify reimbursement is appropriate; so bi-annual scrubbing of claims to resubmit zero pays, etc. for less than what we pay. The ODBC connection is absolutely awesome. I can use T-SQL to create reports that most PM system reporting features can't come close to. Advanced Insight (built-in BI tool) is pretty nice itself, but it can't compare to the ODBC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is INSANE that a client can't "lock down" payment "deposit dates". The practice management (billing) software I've used in the past allowed you to balance the day's activity to your bank account THEN lock those "deposit dates" down. Unfortunately, AdvancedMD allows users to change the deposit date at any point during the life of a payment. This makes bank reconciliation a nightmare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the recent spring 2017 update that they have implemented in their interface. It has brought checking in patients as well as tracking billing statements easy to see. I like how there is now a pop up for co-pays at the first hover over each patient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is too many times where the servers have crashed and customer service response has been giving us the wall. Also when we have to manually fix the errors which can easily be created with some changes are frustrating. There are also recurring errors that delete progress which is quite unacceptable. It is in some cases TOO DETAILED and technical. Unless you adjust the program to exactly what i want to see every claim that does not meet rhe criteria preset will kick back. A confusing aspect when we implemented the program with the different tiered level packages for the software packages. You need to make sure you have good communication with your sales representative to make sure that the package level you will be receiving gives you the access that you will be needing. There's a lot I like - and the best is the CBO function that allows me, from one login, to view all of clients at once - I can easily and effortlessly run roll-up reports. The dashboard shows the overall results of my business and I can easily click down to see individual clients. Frankly, there isn't much that I dislike. I think the biggest issue we've encountered is that we often times seem to know more about how the system works as it pertains to medical billing than the support team at AdvancedMD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a true browser-based cloud application so it can be reliably accessed anywhere that has internet access. It is easy to use for our billers who are currently managing the billing and receivables management for over 50 Ophthalmology practices. I am able to see a patient, complete my note, create a charge sheet, and submit it to the "billing" side (PM) all in one setting. At the end of the day I am able to review all the charges that were previously submitted to the PM side and take corrective actions that were recommended by the PM side.
