## Phreesia Reviews
  ### 1. Would not recommend to any practice

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooke S. | Insurance Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Nothing at all, this is not designed to be efficient with vision offices

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Everything. Half the medical insurances are unable to pull because they aren't compatible with Phreesia. The other half are inaccurate example Ambetter and Alliant. This software is not designed to be efficient in vision offices and frankly you all should know that and shouldn't have even entertained signing us up. The vision insurance was a disaster when Phreesia pulls it, inaccuracies and "not compatible" This program should be strictly offered to medical ONLY practices and even then I'd warn those offices to be very wary and make sure you double check everything. I basically have to do double work since we have had Phreesia because I have to go behind and check everything for accuracy. Our billers are working double as well. This program is a headache and we don't even use half the features because they're not accurate. I wouldn't recommend this to any practice. Don't get me started on the "training" we went through before we went live. We could not understand a word our instructor was saying because English is not her first language. We had to ask her multiple times to repeat things and even then, we couldn't understand. We basically taught ourselves how to use this software due to this. If you're going to have training classes you should have instructors that the practice can understand. If this were my practice I'd pay the thousands and thousands of dollars to break the contract but it's not, so we have the endure this crap system until Feb 2027. I think you'll find my whole team is disappointed in Phreesia and does not recommend this to anyone.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. Again, this has made our jobs highly more complicated than before we had Phreesia. We ALL regret signing up for it.

  ### 2. Empowers Remote Work with Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maripat E. | Patient Access Performance Improvement and Compliancy Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I appreciate that I can work remotely and still perform my job effectively. I also really value the Security Logs feature, which allows me to access clear records and address any disagreements before they escalate. It's hard to argue with solid data!

Users who may have complained about more changes were fast learners, and are now more productive daily users.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

I'm not entirely sure... Whenever our team has had a concern or question, Phressia Support or our account manager has always resolved the issue or offered solutions we hadn't considered. Some of the workflows were a bit tricky to set up at first, but I believe most systems come with their own learning curves.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining the data entry process before engaging with scheduled outpatients has made a significant difference. In the ED, our team is now able to accomplish more with fewer resources, and the data we collect is more accurate. Our teams are only required to manually enter three data elements: primary provider, insurance, and pharmacy. This change has empowered the front line to achieve much more, even with reduced staffing.

  ### 3. Would not recommend at all

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie R. | Optical Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

It has some good features, but a lot of what we were told would integrate with our system didn’t actually work as expected.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

It didn’t integrate well with our system. It also overloads patients with confirmations, even after they’ve already confirmed. On top of that, it didn’t offer the level of eye-related customization we needed.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. Many of our issues were never resolved.

  ### 4. Streamlined Patient Process with Ease of Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen H. | Clinic Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I use Phreesia for medical paperwork, insurance verification, and patient communication. I appreciate that there are no paper forms and everything is organized smoothly for patient flow. It's great having one place for insurance verification. I like its ease of use, which makes the processes simpler for us. The chat option has significantly improved life for my Medical Assistants, allowing faster communication with patients on the day of their appointments. Also, setting up Phreesia was fairly easy.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Nothing

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Phreesia for medical paperwork and insurance verification. It eliminates paper forms and organizes patient flow. It provides faster communication with patients on appointment days, improving efficiency for my Medical Assistants.

  ### 5. Good Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

The Phreesia staff are knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to work with. They know the product well and are very adept at problem-solving and helping to develop workarounds.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Two major dislikes:
* Having all fields from the new patient intake and return visit forms discretely written back to the corresponding fields in the Veradigm EHR would be extremely helpful. Currently most of them are, but not all. We made the decision to try Phreesia with the intent to improve our front desk efficiency. While the Phreesia staff have been helpful in building workarounds, the workarounds haven't as helpful for our physicians as hoped.
* The other major dislike is regarding Bill Pay and the fact that the static URL cannot be configured for multiple merchant ID numbers. This is proving quite problematic for us and may result in us not being able to use the Bill Pay function. This prospect is very disappointing as we wanted to offer patients the option of online bill pay anytime so it is convenient for the patient.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

See my answer to dislikes in the first section of the review.

  ### 6. Phreesia platform and the Phreesia Team is Top Notch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonia H. | Director of Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Phreesia has transformed the way our organization manages patient intake, scheduling, and communication. The platform is intuitive, efficient, and highly customizable to fit our workflows. The implementation team and ongoing customer support have been exceptional, responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive in helping us optimize every feature. The integration with OncoEMR and other systems has streamlined processes and improved both staff productivity and patient experience.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

There’s a slight learning curve for new users, especially when configuring more advanced features or campaigns. Occasionally, updates require brief workflow adjustments or retraining. However, the Phreesia team provides excellent guidance and communication during these transitions, minimizing disruption.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Digital intake and appointment reminders

  ### 7. Exceptional Implementation and Powerful Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie M. | Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

What stands out most about Phreesia is their commitment to ensuring a successful implementation and providing excellent support. Their robust training resources and upfront time investment made the onboarding process seamless. Additionally, their powerful analytics capabilities allow us to gain valuable insights into performance and business impact, which has been a game-changer for our operations.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Multiple LLCs can be tricky to implement. If all of your locations follow the same logo, branding, names, this is not an issue. We have locations with different business names, logos, and share 1 AMD office key. Phreesia wasn't built for the level of granular customization.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phreesia is helping us streamline patient intake, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the overall patient experience. By digitizing and automating the check-in process, it reduces administrative burdens for our staff and minimizes errors. The platform also provides powerful analytics that allow us to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. This has not only saved time but also enabled us to make data-driven decisions that positively impact both our patients and our business operations.

  ### 8. TOMAGWA Ministries Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Markeysha S. | Finance Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Phreesia is very knowledgeable in their understanding of how it can integrate with Athena. I appreciate Kanishka's ability to understand TOMAGWA's unique workflows and make adjustments to align Phreesia and Athena. She is amazing to work with. The dashboard is very user friendly. I was also impressed with Phreesia's turnaround time to roll out the implementation phase.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Phreesia University seems scattered. The trainings didn't seem to flow from a start to finish training. I felt the trainings should different elements and it's up to the user to put the pieces in chronological order.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Less paperwork during check in.

  ### 9. Wonderful support team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara V. | Practice Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Streamline checkin experience for all of our patients and front desk staff. The check in process is very easy to use even for our older and techically challenged patients.
The team was very patient with my office as we are owned by an coorporate office and needed to make some red tape disappear durning the implementation of phreesia, the intergration to our system and staff useage was simple
Phreesia is very customisable for the practice
Customer Support from every department/team is amazing and wonderful to speak with
We use our Phreesia system on a daily to check in/out collect all patient data and payments

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

We honestly have not had any issues that were not fixed immediatly

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlined everything in our clerical department

  ### 10. A Solid Onboarding Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel T. | Information Systems Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Implementation was comprehensive and interactive.

Phreesia has relatively easy to access analytics, and is a solid digital check in solution for patients and staff alike.

The dashboard application is user-friendly, and overall it is easy to train on.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Patients should not have the ability to skip tasks, unless the practice configures it that way.

Bidirectional integration between athena and phreesia needs to be faster, especially regarding insurance verification: Insurance verification should automatically update in athena.

Develop patient interaction training that is geared towards FQHCs

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phreesia helps us check in our patients more quickly, and eliminates much of the paper processing that front desk teams typically use.

  ### 11. Phreesia has saved us so much time and money!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tracy D. | Chief Operating Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

We've been able to reduce our check-in time from 8 minutes to about 3 and 1/2 minutes!

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Support is sometimes slow to respond or resolve issues.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to offer digital intake for our patients and by doing so, reducing staff costs and time.

  ### 12. Phreesia Is Great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie L. | Dermatologist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I love the ease of the Self scheduling process.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Forms completed by patient do not automatically get sent to Ema (modernizing medicine), so that increases the amount of time and labor our staff experiences.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They have solved the problem of patient self scheduling so it's very beneficial for me, as I am seeing more and more patients.

  ### 13. From start to finish, exceptionally well-organized, fantastic communication and an amazing staff.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiara M. | Office Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

The overall communication with the team.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ability to facilitate a quicker check in process for patients. With a new location opening, we will have roughly 30-40 patients checking in each hour, this process will help the front desk staff and patients tremendously.

  ### 14. Experience with Phreesia

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colette E. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

The reminders and we are able to push notifications and new patient registration.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

The questions for other MD and Dentist. The question for Carespace is confusing for patients as they are not even sure what this means. The insurance section the skip link is hard at times on the Ipad to even skip.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reminder calls for those that are able to receive reminders.

  ### 15. Best registration and front desk solution for integration to Veradigm

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan J. | Practice Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

It makes checking E&B's extremely easy and quick

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Pictures of ID and Ins cards does not YET integrate to Veradigm but is to soon

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Veradigm PM provides no good patient facing or registration solution and Phreesia seemlessly integrates one with eHR

  ### 16. We love how easy phreesia is to work with.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christie M. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Phreesaia makes verifying insurance a breeze and our patients love the convience of the system.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Sometimes it doesn't always verify incurances that our patient have.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently do not have any issues

  ### 17. Phressia Review

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I did like the patient broadcast messages

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

It was very overwhelming starting out, once you got used to it it was better but not very user fiendly and constantley encounter issues both from the dashboard and patient facing. There was no easy way to have chnages made to intake forms and the process was excruciating

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No longer using Phressia, which is benefitting in itself

  ### 18. Overall poor experience

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren P. | Program Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Self scheduling more customizable than our EMR options
More customization with patient communications
Integration of forms with our EMR

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Misleading verbiage and vague wording in contract
Amount of labor required on our end to ensure forms set up correctly
They upsell you on everything
Advertisements during patient check in - they have a clause in their check in consent that allows patient medical information to be used for targeted advertisement
Overall shady practices

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Configuration is good, but not perfect. Be prepared to review everything that is built for your practice with a VERY fine toothed comb as more often than I would prefer, forms that I requested to be built were either built incorrectly, or matched with the wrong appointments, or did not input into the Athena chart like requested, or there were duplicates. It became a very frustrating and laborous process to ensure our forms were correct.

2. They will try to upsell you on everything, and I recommend you read the fine print before you commit to a new add-on. While some of the features were really useful for us, like self scheduling (which allowed us much more customization for our practice compared to Athena), we are now locked into using the product because of a clause in our contract. We only used self scheduling for covid testing blitzes and now we don't use it. But we have to keep paying. Okay, fine, I understand it is in the contract. Just pay very close attention to what you sign.

3. Make sure to read your contract VERY carefully and make note of your effective date on your order form. Your contract will automatically renew after 12 months or what they call your "initial term". But keep in mind, your contract will have 2 phases - Phase 1 which is an evaluation phase where you can decide if you like the product, and Phase 2 is your committed term where you pay monthly fees. BUT DON'T GET BLINDSIDED - your 12 month intial term is both Phase 1 and Phase 2. Don't make the mistake I did where I assumed our 12 month term was 12 months of paid usage that began in Phase 2. We are now locked into a contract with a product we do not want to use for another year.

4. No one from the team will inform you of your contract renewing. Yes I understand in the contract is states it will automatically renew, but this is poor customer service in my opinion.

5. Your monthly fee is based off of the number of providers in your practice. However, be aware - in Athena, anyone you put in as a "provider" needing their own schedule is considered a "provider" by Phreesia. I put these in quotations becasue let's say you wanted to have an MA have their own schedule because they do things like blood draws, and you don't want to muddy up your actual Provider's schedule. Or maybe you build more providers in Athena because you want to be able to have multiple people sign encounters instead of only allowing one scribe to sign and an actual provider sign (for example, I am an RN and the only way I could co-sign an encounter is if I am built in Athena as a "provider". Perhaps this is more of an Athena issue, but it still impacts Phreesia workflows). Anyways - when you make an MA or an RN as a provider in Athena, Phreesia will try to charge you for that. At one point, they wanted to charge us for 11 providers, when we only have 2 actual providers - an MD and an NP. It doesn't make financial sense from a practice standpoint to pay $60 per provider per month when you are only actually billing for the work of 2 providers. So take a close look at the structure of your practice and determine if this is the right choice for you. Fortunately, Phreesia has been willing to work with me and they haven't charged me for 11 providers, but it has required a lot of explanation to the Phreesia team and also requires us to figure out work arounds in Athena to make things work for us. It is incredibly complicated.

6. Daylight savings time. Oh boy. Our practice is located in Arizona, and we do not change because of Daylight Savings Time. However, last winter our communications to patients from Phreesia regarding any appointment times scheduled were showing as an hour ahead of actually scheduled. We had patients showing up before we even opened our doors. And this happened even though we were configured in Athena as Arizona time. I had to make a case and work with their internal team to resolve this, and it took some time to fix. They may have resolved this issue for other practices, but keep a note if this might pertain to you.

7. Touch base calls - these are not fun. You will be assigned a customer service representative that will go over analytics with you, however I felt more often than not that I had to continually explain why our self check in rates were low. Much of our practice clientelle are Medicare patients. They are elderly. They don't know how to use a cell phone or computer to check into their appointments. Our team helps them with this. It gets exhausting to constantly have to justify your low check in rates with someone from Phreesia.

8. Overall - Phreesia does have functionality that helps where Athena falls short. And it may be great for your practice! However, Athena is working on addressing these shortfalls in their Fall release, and I believe their Spring release in 2023. We look forward to these releases so that we can have our workflows in one platform, and no longer use Phreesia. This software might work for you, but I encourage you to keep note of the above when you consider signing.

  ### 19. Efficient program and friendly client support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber B. | Lead Billing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Phreesia makes working with patients before their appointment easy, quick and seamless. From confirming appointments to registration, insurance questions, balances, to developmental surveys, all of that can be resolved and completed before patients walk in the door. Need help with sending recalls to your patients, Phreesia has a great option for that as well, completely customizable for your practice.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

With any program, you are using that integrates with another program, there will always be connectivity issues. It is unavoidable. Phreesia sends out up-to-date status alerts based on your region and the issue at hand. If you are having another problem, they are very quick to initiate a report and resolve your concern.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insurance verification is very helpful. Phreesia identifies policies and confirms if they are active, if there is a secondary insurance pulling, and if the insurance has a PCP listed, it will show that as well. It helps us streamline our verification system. Phreesia is also helping us with our collections rate. It sends the parents emails if there's a balance from their visit, and if there is a balance on the account when they get their pre-registration, it asks for payment before they even arrive at the office.

  ### 20. Very Happy with Phreesia

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer J. | Business Office Manager, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

We love that patients can complete all paperwork before arriving and transfer it into our EHR system. It has cut down on appointment reminder calls, so we can better utilize our employees.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

It would be great if Phreesia could track credit balances on accounts so we don't continue to collect and increase the credit balance.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phreesia has been very beneficial in collecting past-due balances. The option to set up payment plans or send a payment reminder is great

  ### 21. Phreesia is AMAZING!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Contactless check in, insurance eligibility

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Sometimes technical support can take awhile

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped us pivot during COVID to make our patients feel safe, interfacing with our EHR.

  ### 22. Not Just Useless: Detrimental

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chukwudi I. | Webmaster, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

That it's easy to end your use of this product because it does not deeply integrate with your workflow.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Not only was this product not helpful to our practice in improving patient care, but years after severing our relationship with this company, they began calling us again, demanding to speak to supervisors and a member of their staff who has never been to our practice left a negative review on Google because we eventually hung up on one of their calls. A relationship with this company won't just be unhelpful: it can be detrimental to your business.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Document all conversations with them.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No serious benefits: most competitor products aid in check-in workflow in a far greater capacity.

  ### 23. Phreesia adds a lot of value to a medical practice's workflow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

When we signed on with Phreesia, we could not have asked for more friendly account reps - from sales, to implementation, to support - all great people, all willing to help accommodate our workflow and how the Phreesia services fit

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

The web UI is sometimes a little slow to load, but other than that, the service has definitely improved and streamlined our workflow

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to eliminate a lot of our hard paper, and have a more modern approach to our medical practice intake process

  ### 24. Secure payment gateway for Healthcare sector

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

This tool is user friendly while validating patient payment. Easy steps need to follow while searching patient intake

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

While searching payments sometimes it gets hang.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Best tool for patient intake in Healthcare organisations.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In Healthcare organisation we need to work on patient payment and for that it is necessary to verify payment mode and validate that payment, so by using phreesia we can easily verify patient genuine payment.

  ### 25. When it works it’s great. Bug fixes would be greatly appreciated

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Communicates with the insurance relatively quickly to show what is and is not active.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

That it's not contracted with more insurance types so show active. I would like to see an option per facility that they can enter in what insurances they do and do not take

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Great site, just had a few bugs

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insurance eligibility

  ### 26. Outgoing Front Office Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gretchen S. | Front Office Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

The ease of use with the dashboard has given Front Office staff and Billing real time tools to obtain accurate information to "get it right the first time" when attaching insurance to services. Working with Phreesia far exceeded our expectations - they were able to make changes quickly and have been true partners to our organization

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Not a huge issue, but we had asked about this shortly after implementation when we had a user in error logged in as someone else who had jumped in to work at a station and we noted a user could be logged in multiple times in multiple places. We would like to have controls which would only permit the user to log in 1 x and not be able to go over to another workstation and log in a second time - permitting them to be logged in two places. For example with our EMR we are able to have it "force out" the log in on the other workstation if the team member logs in from another workstation to prevent multiple log in per user at any one time. If that was corrected - we are not aware of it and missed it.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Build your in-house project team to include a front line member of the Billing Team in addition to Population Health, Front Office and Clinical. In reality it was our Billing Team who had the most radical change to their process and having a solution focused Billing Team member in the work-group ensured we asked the right questions. We also made sure to incorporate the feedback from our Front Office team and patients early in the implementation and optimization period to modify workflow when they suggested changes that made the process better.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Patient forms/experience, PHQ2/7 consistency based upon visit type, more accurate insurance/collections, overall patient satisfaction, policy transparency

  ### 27. Increased speeds and collections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

The check in time has been significantly reduced. Prior to Phreesia, there were constant complaints from the providers about the delays in check in. With Phreesia, I haven't heard any complaints about that. We increased our collections as well.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

I wish more information would transfer over into our EHR. This would reduce errors in data entry.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We always had a problem with call offs and vacations with our front desk staff. Now that we have Phreesia, we haven't felt the stress of that anymore. We have a mechanism for more oversight of metrics of our front desk staff. We also have loved the use of the Phreesia surveys for insight from our patients.

Also, our payment plans were out of control. People would have $5 a month payment plans or plans that lasted well beyond an appropriate time. Phreesia levels the playing field allowing everyone to have access to the same predetermined guidelines for implementing a payment plan. It also allows the patient to make the decision on payment plan terms as well.

  ### 28. Phreesia is life changing for a medical practice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Benefits eligibility and pre-visit check in

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Payment plans do not transfer into Centricity

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insurance questions are easier to answer at the front desk and the check in process is more efficient because the patient has more control to change their demographic information. There are countless benefits to having Phreesia but the main benefit our practice has found is insurance eligibility and being able to pull that information on every patient we have scheduled.

  ### 29. The Phreesia Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cherice S. | Front Desk Staff- Thimble Shoals Family Medicine, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

You are able to set up a payment plan for the patient Or the patient can set up the payment plan when they pre register For a doctor's appointment as well as the patient being able to a screenshot Their insurance card and uploading it to the system instead of the doctor's office scanning the card in.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

There are really no downsides when it comes to using Phreesia. I love using the system at Work because it makes checking in a lot easier.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Phreesia is an easy healthcare system to use in the office. It makes checking in patients a lot easier as well as you are able to give the patients an opportunity to pre-register for their appointment and pay their co-pay instead of waiting to come in the office. What I like about Pheesia is that it gives the patient an opportunity to set up a payment plan according to how long they want to make payments to pay their balances off.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't really came across any problems using phreesia but the benefits I have realize is that when a email or text message is sent out it makes it easier for the patient if they have multiple balances in different offices they can set up a payment plan according to how much they want taking off their credit card each month and the payment is automatically take it out

  ### 30. Great Customer Service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Good communication if they are having issues. Any issues with customer service are responded to quickly and usually fixed the same day.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

No complaints with the product or the team. It would be nice to see better integration of clinical information with our emr but from what I understand those issues are not on the Phreesia side.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collection of information - reduced scanning.

  ### 31. Excellent patients intake platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gladys k. | Laboratory Technician, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

It automatically loads in my system and my patients are reliable to be seen on time and not have to wait to fit out paperwork. Also I am able to send patients their electronics forms to fill out online before their appointment.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

so far I have not experienced any drawback while using this software. Therefore, I recommend this platform as good and great in patient's management.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Best benefits are getting the patient back faster, eliminating paperwork to be scanned on the chart. I also like that I can customize my policies to what am getting to my practices.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software helps me in the collecting time of service payments and outstanding patient balances without staff intervention. This enable organisation with easy handling and management of patients.

  ### 32. Ease of Implementation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Integration with our EHR and implementation.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Recently, we are having issues with our customer service.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving POS collections, reducing bad debt.

  ### 33. Phreesia - working or not?

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura W. | Executive Assistant, Accounting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I like that Phreesia makes it easy to accept a patient's payment when they need to check in or check out. One feature we really enjoyed while we used Phreesia was the fact that it could "talk" to our electronic health record, Greenway, and was able to import a patient's copay for that visit.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

One thing I disliked was how often Phreesia would crash. This would create major problems and anxiety while we were running a very busy medical office front desk. Another thing I disliked was that often, the information Phreesia displayed for the patient's copay was not correct and current with their insurance provider.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Phreesia is a wonderful program when it is completely and fully functioning. It is very easy to use and lets the employee know how much money they need to ask the patient for. Phreesia also lets you verify the patient's insurance and verify their copay or deductible amount prior to their visit. We usually would go through the schedule the day prior.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phreesia was used as our payment processing system. Benefits were that it was easy to take a patient's payment for their visit no matter what form they were paying with, whether it was check, cash, or credit card. The benefit we enjoyed the most was that Phreesia was integrated with our electronic health record, Greenway, and the prices reflected with in the patient's charts, showing whether they owed money for past or current visits.

  ### 34. Use Difficult for Seniors

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I can use the device easily. I am 38 yrs.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

My dad (82) cant use the device. He is not technically inclined. Even if he was his fingers are too big to use this device. During our visit to this medical office he was asked to get up three separate times to complete the procedure of using this device. My dad has a difficult time standing up from a chair and gets winded walking short distances. Three times he had to get up and down and walk back and forth just to review if the information they already had on file was correct. This device played no role in improving the effiency in this office and compromised the health and comfort of my elderly dad.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I see opportunities that need to be addressed. It takes just as long (if not twice as long) for the receptionist to explain to the patient what the tablet is, how to use, and why it is necessary than it would take the receptionist to just verify the information herself. This device slows progress in this facility. Half the patients do not have the ability to use this device. I suggest more research to be conducted on who will be using this device and what it will be used for. Does this device improve the efficiency of this type of business and is the purchase of this device worth the job or function it is replacing.

  ### 35. I LOVE PHREESIA! I WOULD WORK FOR THEM IF I COULD!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda V. | billing dept mgr, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I love the ability to make healthcare easy and professional! There are so many features, I am not sure that my office even takes advantage of all that Phreesia has to offer.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Nothing really, everything is amazing! I could see some enhancement requests coming down the line, but everything is great!

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

More EMR's should integrate with Phreesia because it is a great product and offers a lot.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of reading parents handwriting and who gets to complete paperwork, now, everyone does via the pad or previsit.

  ### 39. Phreesia

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Phreesia is a great program for registering patients. It’s a quick and convenient way to have patients check in especially when using the phreesia pads.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Sometimes the information in phreesia can be delayed. The phreesia pads also have issues connecting to networks and sometimes turning on. Using phreesia in a browser works very well. Not much I dislike about phreesia.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With phreesia there is a quick covient and customizable was for the patient to register and update their information. Easy to use and very user friendly.

  ### 40. Did not function as expected. Paid for a year and never used.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Customer service was helpful to tell me all of the things Phreesia couldn't do. Communication was quick till we decided we weren't going to use the system. Software may be helpful in a slow practice setting needing minimal patient feedback/information. If you need to just check in and collect a copay, this may be an OK system for your practice.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Software could not implement office documents as expected. The check in process was slower using this service during our testing than a manual check in with a short follow up questionare. We signed up for this service to speed up the check in process and continue to move to a paperless process. The software could not implement PDF or manipulate any documents on the hardware ( E.G. add text, check a box, provide patient consent, signature, ETC.). We never went live with the product. We paid for a year of service and never used it. Phreesia would not release us from contract even after we made the case that the system did not function anywhere close to our needs. We also found the hardware heavy and cumbersome. If you have any elderly patients , this may not be the best choice for them.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

System is good for minimal work (check in and copay), nothing extensive. Make sure this is enough before signing with them.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phreesia provided good customer service on start up and while trouble shooting implementation. This did drop off however once we realized we couldn't truly implement the product as desired.

  ### 41. Practice Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barbara M. | Practice Manager, Medical Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

Ability to interface with EMR. Improve collections in all aspects for patient collections. Verify patient insurance at time of service. Capture patient updates to demographics and certain clinical info electronically reducing paper. Ability for patients to preregister prior to appointments reducing time in office.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

Would like the ability to update the pads without a cost. Wish all insurance plans could do electronic eligibility and could get very detailed info on procedures or could have chat with insurance carriers on specific procedures.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

Love the product and support. Has helped our practice stay on top of items with the reporting that drills down each item

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Increased collections on copay and past due balances. Less paper and stress at the front desk. Took front desk people out of the collection process conversation

  ### 42. Challenging but good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer R. | Practice Administrator, Medical Practice, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

I love the automatic process for the front desk staff.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

It has been a challenge getting our patients to use the boards. We tend to have an older demographic in our specialty.

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

It is hard getting your front office staff on board when you have an older demographic of patients. Get your front office staffs feedback and change your interviews to make the process easier for them and your patients.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not have to ask a patient for money in a packed waiting room.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rainer J. | PM Administrator, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Phreesia?**

When I place a support call or have a question someone will always get back with me and follow up afterwards very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Phreesia?**

I would like for the system to acknowledge the patients in PM the same time and not at 12:00 for all

**Recommendations to others considering Phreesia:**

This product would be beneficial to any medical facility. It takes a lot of pressure off of the front staff/registration.

**What problems is Phreesia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our demographics and revenue in patient pays/copays have improved tremendously.
